yeah this has been a thing with every disney game they've released on steam. I follow For Retro (it's For Retro 2 now since they apparently curated too many games on their first account) and that's the only reason I know about any of these games. It's not like Ganker ever talks about shit that isn't FOTM
yeah it's really fun but it's old school frustrating in some places. I haven't played it in so long I can barely remember anything about it other than I wore it out on my genesis.
it's okay. it's typical 90s saturday morning cartoon action shlock. I used to put it on as a kid if nothing else was on but it used to bore me a little. keith david played the main character so that's cool.
that's awesome. Nightdive has a lot of potential. Glad they didn't botch the SS remake, sure it could have been handled better but I think most were satisfied.
looks pretty cool to me, I never even heard of this game. nightdive has done alright by me. idk where all this animosity is coming from. Freddie Fish and Pajama Sam have got to be top tier games of all time or maybe some of the time.
I really like Nightdive but this came way too late. There is already a great source port out there, and the same source port will soon be usable with Outlaws as well.
>millions of games available to polish up and re-release digitally for the first time ever >they go for something that's already available digitally, can be played and has a source port on top of that as well
to be fair, Disney/LA probably offered a lot of money, I don't blame them for not taking it, but I do wish games that are actually obscure or don't have good repacks/fan patches were prioritize more
The version that was recently released is quite bad in practically all aspects. There are some anons who get furious when I say this, but I honestly can't conceive of a world where people with good taste and who like retro shooters don't notice how flawed and shallow Powerslave is.
The original version made in Build (and yes, it is the original version of the game even though it was released after the console version), is considerably better in my opinion, especially in terms of level design, despite not being considered one of the " good" games made in that engine (usually the trio Duke Nukem 3D, Blood and Shadow Warrior).
>Originally on 360, Xchuds don't buy japanese games. >PS3 port was hot garbage >WiiU >Multiplatform port of 1 has done well, but the fanbase has to be funneled onto Switch to get everything.
DMC was on PS2, the best selling system of the gen and at a time where japanese games were mainstream before the 7th gen fall.
I've never played a port of it, only the original. One thing that annoys me is the FOV, it's very low.
The game itself is OK, the level design gets quite annoying in some parts and the combat isn't very remarkable. It's mediocre.
I'm hoping it's good, they finish this up, and then can start working on that PC port of The Darkness like they said they would. I like the Jedi Knight sequel series but I was never really a fan of dark forces 1.
>blood on consoles
why not just get it for PC and play with a controller so you can see how bad that idea really is? It's blood, shit runs on a calculator.
>nightdive
the implication is that this is going to take a while
What are is the implication of Disney giving us what we need? Mickey Mouscapades remaster when?
Disney cannot advertise a game for shit, did anyone even know this was a thing?

I learned about it an hour ago when it showed up in my youtube recommendations.
Wait WHAT
holy shit
was the original actually any good?
yeah it's really fun but it's old school frustrating in some places. I haven't played it in so long I can barely remember anything about it other than I wore it out on my genesis.
Cold Shadow Remaster when???
after mickey mouscapades my brother.
I wonder who owns the rights to Mickey Mouscapades anyway? Capcom made it like 40 years ago.
JALAPENOOOOOO
The new graphics are terrible
How's the show? I've been meaning to watch it for years but never really got around to it
its probably not very good but my child self loved it.
it's okay. it's typical 90s saturday morning cartoon action shlock. I used to put it on as a kid if nothing else was on but it used to bore me a little. keith david played the main character so that's cool.
I already played it with the Force Engine source port last year. No interest.
Speaking of, looks like the guy behind the Force Engine had some involvement with the Nightdive port.
that's awesome. Nightdive has a lot of potential. Glad they didn't botch the SS remake, sure it could have been handled better but I think most were satisfied.
The cutscenes or whatever you want to call them look absolutely awful. The rest of it just looks like the equivalent of your average sourceport.
>no Fade to Black
>no Crusader
>just bottom of the barrel FPSes
Nightdive is trash.
looks pretty cool to me, I never even heard of this game. nightdive has done alright by me. idk where all this animosity is coming from. Freddie Fish and Pajama Sam have got to be top tier games of all time or maybe some of the time.
>anon wants to play Fade to Black again
I don't believe you.
I don't remember if it was good or bad, and playing it at 4k165 with XInput sounds awesome.
Theyll probably remaster the other ones too. Expect to see Jedi Academy remaster after 4-5 years
2 years late for that
not him, but I'm in it for the cheevos, come at me bro.
>pre aslpha
>coming soon
see you in 2025 space cowboys
I really like Nightdive but this came way too late. There is already a great source port out there, and the same source port will soon be usable with Outlaws as well.
>Does when Force engine exists now
Lel

I'm sure they take jobs like this and the Quake remasters to fund their passion projects like Powerslave.
and the darkness? i hope i really really hope
is powerslave any good?

i dont get why they update games with existing and working ports instead of lost ones that no one bothered with?
Will people who own the original get the remastered version automatically like the ID games or will they require us to buy again?
>Originally on 360, Xchuds don't buy japanese games.

What are you even talking about
Could be killing stormtroopers right now.
use the force engine and you could be as in right now as in immediately

the darkness will be a day 1 buy for me if it ever happens
It is happening. It's just not happening yet.

Put Blood on consoles, you fucks.
why would you want to play Blood on consoles? that game seems like it would be a nightmare to play with a controller.
Don't care.
>blood on consoles
why not just get it for PC and play with a controller so you can see how bad that idea really is? It's blood, shit runs on a calculator.
Hope it's the 360 version and not PS3.
I don't think they've got anything to do with Blood anymore after Atari fucked them over.
They got bought out by Atari.
Hold up, so first Atari denied them updating Blood and then straight up bought the studio? The hell?
Atari had a change of management.
Don't give a shit about the prequel to Jedi Knight.
Now a Jedi Engine sourceport on the other hand. That would make my dick diamonds.

they exist
>and content
probably some music, gallery of dev images, scanned insert...if we're lucky.
I already own the gog version.
I think im gonna skip it cause the remastered cutscenes don't look that impressive.
Did they ever fix the Blade Runner rerelease?
funny, I just looked this up and I don't see any updates or hotfixes. So it looks like they just abandoned it. idk if there's any mods for it or not.
Yeah, they now include the original game with their putrid excretion of the remaster.
No. The lighting on character models is still fucked and they do not blend into the environment as they used to.
I have extremely positive memories of playing thsi game in 1994 with a thrustmaster mk II joystick
I still remember when I found out this game existed when I saw the box at a store and then I asked my dad to see if there was a demo and he found one.
Wish they remastered X-Wings instead and get rid off the perma-death bullshit. I hate losing all my medals and shit.
it will be kino
>Nightdive
I guess it will release in 10 years after it changes engines 3 times and gets some content cut
