Star Wars Eclipse won't have a game over

>"One of the big focuses we've had when we announced Star Wars Eclipse was to make sure it was clear that this is actually an action adventure game that has all of the elements that you would come to expect and want from a Quantic Dream title, which is intricately branching narratives, multiple playable characters," Pendse said. "There's no game over. Anyone can die, anything can happen and the story sort of continues so that those signatures are still there. But what we've been doing is even more ramping up our expertise in the gameplay arena."

Game overs are a failure of the game designer.

You don't know shit about game design and you need to stop using that as an excuse for being a moronic child who sucks at video games.

Game overs are a failure of the game designer.

Cage tried to do this in most of their past games, but it is never actually true.
And that's how my post ended. I tried to make a point on an Indonesian basket-weaving forum and failed to impress my peers.

Somehow this reminded me of Omikron and their cool concept of reincarnation through npcs touching your dead body and your soul getting transported into said NPC. Of course this didn't make it to the final game. What a fricking letdown.

They just won't have that many ways to die, or the option to, show up that often. Like no random fire you can just run into over and over to see how the game/story reacts

      It'll be like Detroit: BH.

      >Droid character that keeps coming back will be the source of most deaths
      >Other character who isn't wholly irrelevant to the plot, but is just there to show off why things need to change can die early
      >Main character is alive for most of it, unless you get him killed at the halfway mark, then the story is truncated and ends 10 hours early

It certainly does better numbers than any EUnuch game including KOTOR I and II.

What star wars games are REALLY fun?

Battlefront 1 and 2 old and new. That one fan remake of Tie Fighter done in X-Wing Alliance. Uhh maybe the Jedi Knight games if you really like force powers. And the LEGO games, but those are a given.

      The old arcade game
      Kotor 1 and 2
The knights series (first one didn't age so well, second and third still hold up OK)
Star Wars Starfighter was incredibly fun. Don't know if it still holds up.
Battlefront 1 and 2 are OK. I especially liked the first one
The Tekken clone on playstation 1 was stupid but fun
First Force Unleashed was pretty fun. Even if the story was dumb
