The exact concept that birthed the mod was removing Pierre from the game. My one single gripe with it is that Morris getting punched should've been kept in for funnies.
Recette is good enough to deserve her own mod without having to do it out of spite for Pierre though and it would solve issues like overwriting Caroline and Abigail getting orphaned while providing an opportunity for a fun dynamic with the two trying to out-israelite each other.

It's the Minecraft of farming sims, so he's already a millionaire and yet he still updates the game for nothing. Honestly one of the very few based devs.
Also have to remember that unlike other devs it is basically just him. So he is absolutely raking in money.
I really don't understand it's success, there's nothing all that special about it, it's overwhelmingly mediocre in every aspect, 90% of your potential avenues for revenue are just dogshit leading into basically one playstyle

PC did not have Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Animal Crossing or really any farming sim game until long after SDV released. SDV also continued to get free content patches all the way to this year.
I'm not even saying anything about the quality of the game, just the fact alone that it was essentially uncontested on PC which has a huge potential audience which only increased substantially in the past 10 years.
Along with it being the only farmsim on PC (which is a huge part of the success), Harvest Moon had fallen apart just two years before Stardew Valley first released. With Natsume publishing their own shit-tier games using the Harvest Moon name, people lost interest in the brand. Meanwhile, very few people knew that the older Harvest Moon games were now called "Story of Seasons", so the re-releases couldn't capitalize on nostalgia very well. Rune Factory is incredibly anime-esque and fantasy-laden, so it turned off a lot of potential fans by being a bit too weebcore. So Stardew Valley arrived at the exact right time to offer something to satisfy all those people hungry for a new game.

IMO you should just design some natural looking wild growth areas on your farm and slot them in there. Turn your decorative tree areas into something that makes a bit of money.
I just plant trees in a row and put mushroom logs between them. It doesn't allow you to go through your tree farm vertically but that's fine.
Don't mushroom logs have an effective area similar to scarecrows? So as long as you have enough trees around them they get the benefits. Don't the kind of trees also play into the quality of mushrooms like the blue trees give the best
Their range is much less than a scarecrow. 7x7 according to the wiki. And yeah the type of trees affect the kinds of mushrooms they produce. Mystic trees produce purple mushrooms.

The only thing that'll happen is at the end of year 2 you get graded. But you can literally redo the grading whenever you want after it initially happens, so it's not even a big deal. Just take it at your own pace. You don't need to rush to do anything.

Are you using the now broken NPC Adventures? That's a huge red flag and possibly the culprit here. Try removing it and seeing if it happens again.
I wasn't aware it was broken cause it works for me. Characters follow me around, help in combat, give bonuses, etc. I assumed it was working since its bundled with the Morgan mod releases. I'll give it a shot removing it.

It's only there for archival purposes but I can see why it would be confusing. I want to move the NPCA exclusive events to the main mod (temporarily until it gets fixed, if ever) but I'm waiting for the Content Patcher fix for lewd events first so I don't have to put up another broken event warning.
First, update smapi. Second, some mod is causing some error and knowing you don't have smapi updated, you should update every important mod there. If a special mod is the cause, there's nothing to do but wait the modder update that mod.

Not yet. This is a fresh play through and I'm still in winter year 1. I have maxed out farming and fishing, but I'm level 9 in mining and foraging, and level 8 in combat still. I will probably hit max foraging soon because I've started aggressively clearing my farmland so I can move buildings around as I please, now that I have the need and the resources to spam sheds.
Did you save the squids? Make bait out of them. I caught 2 before the squid fest, used them for bait, and only needed to use like 2 more for bait to catch enough for the top reward both days.
I saved a few, just cause of hoarding tendencies. I made smoked squid out of some, kalamari out of others. I haven't bothered with the baitmaker at all because it seems like a noob trap. Is it actually any good?
It works pretty well. The math is on the wiki but I haven't looked into it much. What I can say is I just finished the squid fest last night so I remember that day one I caught only 4 things that weren't squid in the time it took to catch the 7 squids. It also has the boost of normal bait so they bite faster too.

Looking into it its going to be a while before NPCA gets fully fixed and they are nearly remaking it from the ground up according to the discord I joined and immediately left to investigate. Also I had an error the other day with the event where Morgan and Jas sneak out at night and Jas just never left the spot where she starts in front of the front door and Morgan was all stuttery walking off to the left of the screen. Yeah it happened again. I should note I'm on SVE with grandpa's farm so the bus stop has that slightly different layout where its triggered so I wonder if its possible that has to do anything with it. I'm also using Romanceable Witch mod but I'm not sure if that would affect it. The scene looked a little weird as me and the witch were behind the trees on the bottom left and my character was kind of stuttering there.

Yep, he's amazing! When you marry him, he becomes a bit dorkier than usual, but he genuinely loves you and tries his best to make you happy. His flowery manner of speaking grows a bit stronger and he's definitely a malewife, but in the relationship he's definitely the emotional core that keeps things well and stable.

I carry a parrot egg and a fairy box on me. Parrot egg as the default trinket because more money is better than unnecessary combat buffs, swap to the fairy box whenever HP drops to 50%, swap again once healed up.

It assrapes every single vanilla map in the game with the most incredibly worthless, cretin changes you could possibly think of (probably explains why it runs like fricking shit) so yes, it's meaningful but not in the way you're expecting.

It literally "expanded" on pretty much everything. Some good changes, some bad changes. Whether one outweighs the other depends on you. For me it makes too many bad changes to bother with.

Modders can now choose if custom items should count for perfection. Your best bet is hoping someone creates a patch for the big mods or doing it yourself
I don't use expansion mods myself, I used to use Ridgeside but it got too woke and I doubt anyone will make an overhaul depozz mod that would have to essentially be rebuilt. All the 'diverse' villagers would all need to be white, the troony needs to not be a troony, get rid of the stupid ninjas or make them forest rangers instead in robin hood style clothing, get rid of that moronic spirt mountain quest or at least rewrite the plot to get rid of the lesbian shit and the moronic backstory about your grandparents, and most importantly make Trinnie and the other e-girls available to date and marry.
