I'm sorry Todd that I believed you still have another Morrowind, Oblivion or even Fallout 3 yet in you.
I look forward to your team releasing TESVI, but it will not be a day one purchase for me
I'm still playing it on and off. It's not great. It's like the vidya equivalent of McDonalds: bland, barely adequate, and vaguely nostalgic. There are better options but it scratches an itch.
>you can kind of feel what the game could have been had they made more of an effort on it
I felt this to an extreme degree in fallout 4, it's like they intentionally designed it to blueball you.
This game is so terrible. It simply sucks. Bethesda is done for. No way in hell am I buying anything from them again without waiting a few months after release. Its sad too because it could have been Space Fallout but no. Its just boring and soulless.
>Its just boring and soulless.
very... time... >this post was made when fo3 came out. >this post was made when fnv came out. >this post was made when skyrim came out.
you'll come walking back, head down, hand out waiting for FO5 and ES6 and when those suck
you'll make this same post
I enjoy the game. I really do. But one thing that will always bother me is that picture you posted. That's not a bad compressed saved image. It's the same one in game. It looks like shit. Like over-compressed shit you'd see if you opened an image you saved 20 years ago when 720p was novel.
For what?
For predicting it would be a Bethesda quality game but without any of the established worldbuilding to support it?
Because I fricking nailed that prediction
It was GOTY compared to the botted tencent game, but considering the time and resources, it should have had even more content than that tencent game along with the far superior gameplay. There's no excuse for having a lack of content like that even if it is better objectively.
>it should have had even more content than that tencent game
it does, by a gigantic margin >along with the far superior gameplay
eh, alright, maybe not "far" superior but it's better for sure.
>it does, by a gigantic margin
No it really doesn't, it doesn't have nearly as many quests, weapon variety, characters to interact with, or unique handcrafted quest locations.
Look I do not like Baldur's Gate 3, I am FULLY aware the game is botted by Tencent and artificially inflated to where it is, and other than that, the fact that it has ASS Turn Based gameplay, is another big turn-off, but to deny how much content it has, isn't something i'm going to do, it does have more content, and if the game played at minimum like Skyrim, it actually would be GOTY without the need for botting.
Was there ever an actual point to the base building and skills like weapon/armor modding? I didn't touch any of that shit because the whole resource cargo train was super fricking annoying.
Weapon modding yes, Armor modding is pretty much pointless because of late game and lack of armor variety, base building is a very very late game you've done literally everything and have nothing left to do mechanic except colonize and frick around and probably will be better when the actual mod tools drop and add more of a purpose to it.
imagine being todd, or any other ceo of an american company, you basically never allowed being honest, never allowed to talk not by scenario or you'll get sued
Todd won regardless, he's now under phil spencer who has a long history of allowing developers to put out complete trash with zero consequences. His games can flop & he'll still get paid top dollar & by the time phil actually notices this todd can retire rich as frick.
Starfield is like having the puzzle pieces of a masterpiece but none of the pieces fit together, I love the setting, I love the music, I love being able to customize my ship then live in it and fly it around, I love BGS style games, you can become a bounty hunter, a space trucker, a space pirate, you can build a home on any of the 1000 planets to find, the gunplay feels great, but playing it just isn't very fun. Everything feels disjointed, I think it's just the result of teams not communicating with each other and trying to do the open world bethesda game thing with segmented zones instead of an actual open world. Maybe I'm wrong and there's just a few missing pieces updates/mods can fix or I'm just too jaded to enjoy anything new
I guess it's more morrowind and skyrim playthroughs for me till the end of time
Why do I like it yet people nearly unanimously hate it? I don't think it's a masterpiece or innovative or anything, it's just fun being in the setting and interacting with NPCs.
Is this game actually bad or is hating it the popular opinion? I played the frick out of fallout 4 and everyone acts like that game was terrible, so I don't know if I can trust the reviews.
Most of the effort went in to the modules for building your own base and customizing your spaceship.
The menus are clunky as SHIT but that's where the developers interest lay.
it's really obvious from how stupid and shallow the worldbuilding is, that nobody gave a shit about the setting or the writing. They just wanted to make a game where you make NASApunk space bases and can customize your banging hot spaceship.
Main problem is they went with familiar tech that's completely unsuited to making a game of this scale. I wonder how improved SF would've been if it had actual planets and space travel at least on the level of NMS?
>cant run on steamdeck
what unoptimised mess of a game is this?
I can get Red Dead Redemption 2 running on it yet bethesda cant even get this loadscreen simulator able to run on it??
i'm sorry i had expectations from bethesda
I'm sorry, Todd.
I know you tried your best, and it's not your fault the game didn't meet your expectations.
I'm sorry Todd that I believed you still have another Morrowind, Oblivion or even Fallout 3 yet in you.
I look forward to your team releasing TESVI, but it will not be a day one purchase for me
I'm sorry i have even the tiniest sliver of faith in Bethesda.
Truly the best game Bethesda has ever made, pure sovlfvl kino...
I don't have to. I liked Starfield from the beginning and still like it now.
Same, I had fun playing it, and I’ll probably have fun playing it again when the DLC comes out
I'm still playing it on and off. It's not great. It's like the vidya equivalent of McDonalds: bland, barely adequate, and vaguely nostalgic. There are better options but it scratches an itch.
Worst part is while playing you can kind of feel what the game could have been had they made more of an effort on it
>you can kind of feel what the game could have been had they made more of an effort on it
I felt this to an extreme degree in fallout 4, it's like they intentionally designed it to blueball you.

Oh and even worse it was the 1st game I paid the new "all games are now $70" price for. Double jip.
>Its just boring and soulless.
very... time...
>this post was made when fo3 came out.

you'll come walking back, head down, hand out waiting for FO5 and ES6 and when those suck
you'll make this same post
>F5 and TES6
>coming out in our lifetime
Lole
nice that you specifically skipped FO4 because you know people here remember that not being the criticism on this board on release
>Bethesda is done for.
Todd could re-release Skyrim on a new platform tomorrow and normies would buy it
I enjoy the game. I really do. But one thing that will always bother me is that picture you posted. That's not a bad compressed saved image. It's the same one in game. It looks like shit. Like over-compressed shit you'd see if you opened an image you saved 20 years ago when 720p was novel.
>still no patches
>no fixes
>bg3 on like hotfix number 13
>starfield is BETA testing its 2nd patch
fricking pathetic, bethesda, do better
hotfix =/= patch
starfield's patches are feature rich
>feature rich
But enough about your mom
For what?
For predicting it would be a Bethesda quality game but without any of the established worldbuilding to support it?
Because I fricking nailed that prediction
Bethesda sbould apologizing to us for not including House Va'Ruun.
I'm sorry sirs, I didn't do the needful and redeem

Nice selfie
>along with the far superior gameplay
anon, it's a mid shooter
But enough about what a contraritroon on Ganker would say
>it should have had even more content than that tencent game
it does, by a gigantic margin
>along with the far superior gameplay
eh, alright, maybe not "far" superior but it's better for sure.

I'm sorry I said Fallout 76 was the worst game Bethesda had ever shat out, I had no idea how good we had it
Starfield won
Starfield Won

Interesting, the random drop legendary weapons melted everything in all of my playthroughs, even without modding.
I play on max difficulty and try and go through NG+ many times and modding the weapons to be even more broken quickly is very useful.
Todd passion project failed.
Nah, just needs a few DLCs, the base is still good
imagine being todd, or any other ceo of an american company, you basically never allowed being honest, never allowed to talk not by scenario or you'll get sued

>Starfield's writing is ba-
This guy was moronic
Like what was his plan if the Terrormorph just straight up killed his daughter clone?
Clone a new daughter. Duh.

Romantic Interactions:
CP77 (When Update 2.1 Drops) > Starfield >>>>>> BG3
Sex Scenes:
BG3 > CP77 >>>>>> Starfield
Live Happily Ever After
Starfield > BG3 >>>>>> CP77 (lmao)
okay
I'm sorry starbound, you really aren't that bad
Anyone who bought this game is moronic and I'm sorry I have no way to cleanse humanity of these defects.
Starfield will be considered a cult classic in a few years. Screencap this.
I'm genuinely sorry to any devs that spent nearly decade on this game just for it to become the meme of the month.
It wasn't even a meme for a whole month
It kinda relapsed into a laughing stock recently with its reviews and player numbers nose diving and being completely ignored at tga
It falied to even become a tortanic like andromeda
Its a complete and utter failure
you cannot possibly believe this shit took ten years to develop
I apologize to the Shazam posters for calling them morons. They were right this time.
I used to think Bethesda dumbing down their games over the years was a tragedy, now I realize, it's a comedy
Sorry for believing todds lies, I know that tes6 will flop and have no hope

>They just wanted to make a game where you make NASApunk space bases and can customize your banging hot spaceship.
This is the best part of the game tho.
for what it's garbage
Main problem is they went with familiar tech that's completely unsuited to making a game of this scale. I wonder how improved SF would've been if it had actual planets and space travel at least on the level of NMS?
>cant run on steamdeck
what unoptimised mess of a game is this?
I can get Red Dead Redemption 2 running on it yet bethesda cant even get this loadscreen simulator able to run on it??
Todd said you should upgrade your hardware, anon.
Todd is a charlatan. Even Skyrim is a questionable "OK" on a SteamDeck ffs
>>cant run on steamdeck
Lmao the Steam Deck is such a piece of shit
No.
It can't even run starfield. It's a piece of shit. Kick and scream all you want.
>no one even cares enough to hate this game
>quick make more threads Rashish
>must redeem sirs!
its sole game awards nomination is a pity one in a category it's clearly going to lose
how the hell is lies of pp an rpg?
Because RPG today really just means "it has stats and loot".
>ugly characters
>zany millennial writing
>empty world
>basic combat/gameplay
unironically what took them so long to make this slop
I'll buy it when it's $10
How could I possibly complain about a game I paid $10 for?
>sf launches
waaah waaah it bad btw their old game is good now
>their next game launches after sf
waah waa hit bad btw sf is good now
HALO SAAARS PLEASE REDEEM THE SHARTFIE... I MEAN SAARFIELD YOU BLOODY BASTARD b***h THANK YOU
I'm sorry George, The Prequels were kino all along.
Starfield won
Starfield won
I wouldn't play it even if I got it for free.
