Well well well...
Does temptation strike you now, anon? 70$ is too much. How about less than a peak PS2 era game? Will that finally be enough to make you apologize to Todd Howard?

frick off todd, I could pirate your slop at any time, money is not the issue here
there's nothing that Skyrim does that Starfield doesn't do better
buy an ad todd
your game is a waste of time , you'll have to pay me money to play that shit
>Pay 50$ to waste 200+ hours
Good deal dawg
I legit think I'd have more fun painting a wall and watching it dry than playing starfield
huffing paint is its own sort of entertainment if you don't mind becoming brain dead. then maybe starfield would be enjoyable? idk. what a pile of shit that game is
I was unironically thinking about pirating this game until I looked at how fricking barebones the wiki is. Either the game is so bad its autists don't care enough or there is so little content to it.
saddest part, the true answer is: both
i'll buy it for $10 after an ai has optimized the game to 40 gig or less
it's worth $20 tops and this is assuming they will continue improving this steaming turd
>all reviews: 61% positive
>recent reviews: 40% positive
kek, did they somehow further frick up the game with a patch or something?
Recent reviews just don't have to factor in the positive reviews by preorder shills incapable of admitting that they spent money on a bad product.
People who were lukewarm about the game eventually wrote negative reviews because of how arrogantly Bethesda responded to criticism. Also a lot of positive reviews initially were done by drones who had no strong feelings about the game and just liked that a new Bethesda game was out.
There's nothing tempting about this game. I'm not going to spend money just to add another negative review.
thats still almost $60
It's not even worth that much. For Bethesda's sake, I hope their next game is at least mediocre Bethesda slop, because another Starfield repeat will ensure that even normies stop buying their shit.
Do you think that at some point in the future it'll be a sleeper hit, or have a redemption arc? Or at least improve like FO76.
I'd ask if the modders will come back and improve it but we all know that ain't happening.
>For Bethesda's sake, I hope their next game
Funny, people have been saying the same thing for Bioware for years now. I could see if Bethesda wisens up and directly copies or remakes Skyrim for a quick buck. Even a self contained dlc sized game would be good for them.
>Do you think that at some point in the future it'll be a sleeper hit, or have a redemption arc?
This only happens for games that have strong storytelling, which is one of Starfield's weakest points. Even people who loved the story aren't likely to replay it often, if ever. Fundamentally there isn't any reason to play this over Skyrim or Fallout 4. Even 76 is unique enough to fill a tiny niche.
Bethesda are not going to magically improve their writing and storytelling with Emil still being there. Some gameplay improvements here and there but nothing significant. They'll release their expansion DLC and move on.
>remake skyrim
If they just followed the existing lore that is already written out for todd, it would be huge. but todd cannot stop making the most boring, generic parts of the lore so he can do stupid shit with them.
>lets go to the desert next
ffs. I'm not interested at all because I've seen the trajectory of Bethshit. It's on a steep decline. The writing is awful, there is almost no fun in the games unless you make it yourself but todd keeps pulling things out every release so the fun keeps diminishing. idk who thinks wacking a mudcrub twenty times with 3 attack animations is fun, but it isn't. Look at starfield, no attempt to try and fix what they introduced in FO4 and FO76, just dumbed it down even more. I fully expect an instakill button so you can just skip combat. TES6 will be just a giant empty area you minecraft in but none of the things that make minecraft fun.
Still too much
I like how even a shill such as yourself knows and admits that game is not good (see the filename). Also, frick off Todd.
Inflammatory nonsense!
I wonder how Todd has internalized the public sentiment around Starfield. I do think a part of him takes pride in what he does, however misguided he may be. Wonder how much he drinks every night.
Todd strikes me as more of a coke fiend than a drunk
Protip: he can be both at the same time.
I think it has been tough on him. Bethesda games have had notoriously rough launches before, but people stuck through it and gave them a chance because they love TES and Fallout so they WANTED to like these games. It's different with a new IP like Starfield. There's no reason for anyone to care about it or stick with it because it's so new and unknown. I agree with you - I think Todd cares more than most. Hopefully he just takes the right lessons from it
I'm in the same boat. Furthermore, I think it's pretty great that he's been made the face of the company and so many beloved games, and can be referenced so humorously. Obviously the community holds him in a high regard to take the piss like we do. Because of that I also wonder if it's hard on him, and I hope it's not. I hope he doesn't give a shit.
He has to feel something that we're still talking about the game. If it was truly bad it'd be forgotten by now. So the fact we still make threads means we stil care
I'm just going to say what I've said from the beginning that I actually did enjoy Starfield, like I've enjoyed every Bethesda game.
Me too but the spambot circlejerks here just make it impossible to have any honest discussions.
Unironically you can try having an honest discussion about Starfield somewhere else, but the thing is that the general consensus is that it's an incredibly mediocre game that lost the publics interest very quickly.
I pirated it and was so bored I dropped it.
the game sucks
>Loading screens to do something as simple as moving from 1 system to another nevermind everything below that
how pathetic
My real opinion without a single drop of irony is that Todd Howard is a very bad man for allowing Starfield to exist. So no
>$50 freedombux
I pirated it when it came out and it wasn't even worth the hard drive space.
I just think it's fun to assume he's always obviously shilling his game, pretending to not be Todd.
I don't think I've ever played a Bethesda game for more than a few hours outside of Legends, and I only picked that up for a short while to see how it was a card game. I unironically find their games to be pretty boring and nothing really brings me in and holds my interest.
Wait for 50% and the creation kit
It's been six months, where is it?
By the time Starfield gets a creation kit Star Citizen will have seemless travel between systems in game.
by the time starfield IIIIII comes out star citizen will still not be a game
and yet.... it got seemless transitions between systems working*
In player testing but not in the live server yet.
>Fade in to a rainy shot of a bar beneath a lonely streetlight during a rainstorm
>Smooth, somber jazz plays to a zoom in of a silhouette of a man opening the door
>Pan in through smoke, conversational whispers and clinking glasses to a room at the back of the bar
>Seated at a table and nursing drinks, a plate of food, or puffing on a cigarette reaching its cindering end are Sean Murray, Jon Warner, Daniel Nordlander and Todd Howard.
>Murray gets up, paying the tab for the others.
>In modestly sized font, title drop: The Letdowns.
Dude, no, don't do it. Regrets abound.
oh that reminds me, I haven't actually put this on my ignore list yet. thanks.
I wouldn't buy it, period.
I aint buying that shit unless its like 20 bucks. Even then ill buy from a key seller.
Got it for free with AMD GPU, still felt ripped off.
>no "legendary edition" yet
>no creation kit
>47
nah I'll try it next year.
Waiting for prices to hit $20 and then I'll buy it.
