This the game is legitimately too safe/sterile to leave any meaningful impact the game legitimately feels like walking around Disney world rather than bring in an actual universe how ANYONE at Bethesda thought this was okay is absolutely fricking baffling
planets are empty besides the same repeated outposts, shit enemy variety, shit companion variety, shit weapons variety, ugly npcs, no cool fallout/elder scrolls lore/world/races/etc to save it
even thats just a stripped down version of fo4 base building and it doesnt do anything unique that the fricking gummyship system in KH didnt do in 2002
I have 185 hours it’s a really good time sink for neets but it filtered alot of normalgays that can’t use their imagination. It has a lot of problems but apparently space is a niche genre and it is a slow burn of a game so people probably think it’s boring.
I hate to say it but that is a successful component of all Bethesda games. It’s why they have such big modding scenes because they inspire people to create things they can imagine being in the game. You gotta roleplay as a bounty hunter frick off the main story and only do factions that can help that roleplay. You gotta be fine doing the mindless kill outlaw collect bounty quests. Sadly the majority of the game is a looter shooter so it has a lot of problems but you have to cater your roleplay to the game mechanics and it’s a bit bare bones but it works out. I figure a pirate play through would be good too and maybe a trucker play through maybe a scientist that study’s planets builds bases and farms could work too but those are the only roles you can really get into. It has a lot of potential but because normalgays need shitty story’s and space magic we can’t get any expanded life sim type content
Eh I’ve never really played them only this and fallout 4 they have an ok game loop but it’s too dependent on dopamine muh legendary gear. I just don’t see it as the strength of the game. It’s kept me busy but that’s what this game is. A giant time sink perfect for neets that don’t have much going on but normalgays don’t want to come home and work in their games they don’t have the discipline for it
It doesn't take discipline to veg out and press the attack button
8 months ago
Anonymous
It takes some displine to keep doing it or at least not to cheat too much and roll legendary guns from downed enemies or just use a particularly useful glitch to make that process easier the thing is it takes displine to even get to that point where you are figuring out how to break the game and if someone comes home and has to use their brain to break the game to their favor it still feels like work. There is a lot discipline in anything you do. Maybe you just lack discipline in other aspects of your life to even see it
8 months ago
Anonymous
If you think not cheating in a super easy braindead lootershooter-lite singleplayer game is discipline then you have no actual discipline
its inane that you're trying to say that while also saying it takes discipline to not cheat "too much" meaning you are still doing it even after that lol

It would take some amount of displine to be 600 pounds you would destroy your life and end up dead you are committing to your fricked up fate. Not all displine is good if you are disciplined in your degeneracy that can be a negative thing however it does not mean you lack it. It’s a two edged sword It’s funny think of it in turns as only a positive trait. It can be something that leads to ones downfall. One must live paradoxically to find the upsides and downsides of such things.

Why are you trying to gatekeep what games are good or bad? In terms of net gameplay hours across all players this will be in the top 5 most played games released in 2023. Millions of people have/will put hundreds of hours into this game. It was an ambitious title and sure, they failed on several aspects, but it's an interesting game that compels people to play it

Wrong, game's already dead and below 50k players daily. Another 2 months and it'll be below 10k. No one but absolute simpletons are still playing this game. That's not me gatekeeping good/bad, it's your opinion being filtered out of mattering because you like bad things.

I got to NG+3
It is a terribly designed, bland, and boring game. It’s a step back in many ways, even compared to other Bethesda games. Anyone involved in the creation of this game should be embarrassed. I collectively have thousands of hours in prior Beth games and have made mods for both Skyrim and FO4. I will likely make a few to fix the garbage in starfield once xedit and the creation kit come out but overall the state and design of this game makes me very worried for what TES6 will be.

If people wanted discipline, they wouldnt be playing a video game.
I’m not saying they are not like I said space is a niche it’s not a particularly exciting setting sure you cou dl do something with ayyys but that has been done a lot and is boring too. High Fantasy and apocalyptic settings you can probably do more with and it’s probably why they have a larger audience.
moronic post
the setting is boring because bethesda is creatively bankrupt and have literally no imagination in the studio

They absolutely had more passionate people back in the morrowind days it is definitely a factor but there is less to do to make space amazing. You can’t have it full of shit other wise it is not really space and if you have aliens it’s just turns into fantasy and I find aliens to be lame aliens are never compelling or have motivations you can understand they are really just space bugs you squish sure you could make a good genocide simulator that way but modern normalgay audiences don’t like that.

your argument is literally "they couldn't figure out a way to make it interesting or fun so it's okay that its boring"
this is such a massive cope
the story is literally nothing
you're just nice people following waypoints
theres no space no lore no unique atmospheres or biological intrigue
no giant space worm monsters
no rogue ai robots
no reason for anything it's just nice people trying to help each other out and the one cartoonishly evil ESG pirate group whos full of brown lesbians who are brought together by their diversity

There are a lot of problems with the game but I think you had way too high expectations of Bethesda. The writing has been on the wall for years they dumb everything down every new game. I expected a completely broken garbage game and got a game that runs ok not great and has enough content and shit in it to make me get lost in it where I can larp as a bounty hunter with my wife Sarah at my side. That’s more then I expected from Bethesda so I’m enjoying what I am getting. I know they will never live up to my creativity or their past so I’m just accepting the game for what it is and happy to sink a bunch of time in it. It’s not great it has issues but it’s not as bad as fallout 4 was

You're fricking insane man. Todd is a known liar and has a reputation for lying. This isn't on some giant shadow cabal of people trying to 4D chess bethesda enjoyers out of liking the game. You literally cannot get lost in this game
Every planet is a grid with recycled POIs every 400-800 feet. If you're playing this and "getting lost" like you would in any other bethesda game you're being dishonest with yourself. The game doesn't alllow you to get lost because everything is walled by fast travel and waypoints.

I never get lost in the sense I can’t find my way around a game world I get lost as in lost in the stories and backstory of my character and why he is doing the shit in the game or how to explain some head cannon I have. I don’t give a shit about Bethesda’s writing I just make my own experience in the game I can get lost in that I don’t need a map to find my way around you spoiled child
>but it filtered alot of normalgays that can’t use their imagination
That's not me being filtered, it's you not having standards. "dude just imagine you're playing a good game" does not make it a good game. you're willing to cope to pretend a bad game is good. i am not.
Not really. What does it say about me? I saw someone trying to imply that people don't like this game because of a lack of imagination and that simply isn't true. The game is made for moronic people. What does my post say about me anon?
You have to believe really hard the game is good anon I’m not saying that but it is funny to think. In saying you need to imagine you are in space as a bounty hunter and your life is just killing scum bag after scumbag eventually all the combat blurs the killings become the same you fall into the natural position where you get a bit bored with your job as anyone does in any profession sometimes it even feels like you are going to the same place to do your job or trapped into the cycle now these are game play limitations but you can create a back story to accommodate them. That is what I mean by use your imagination not the game sucks I need to larp that is is good tho a fine line
Meanwhile people with a funtioning brain played it for 3 hours, saw that the extent of "roleplaying" is doing railroaded missions then doing copy/pasted contracts in copy/pasted locations, and dropped the game because if you're putting this much work into not being bored with a game why the FRICK are you not just playing a more fun game
You can do this in literally any fricking game. In this game like 75% of people you shoot are immortal. How do you fricking larp that one? Are they all Highlanders? Get some fricking standards, Jesus Christ
Same, game is great, nearly all of the “issues” people harp on are either not a big deal or were design decisions better than the alternative being suggested.

I’m not done yet I wanna finish the story just so I don’t get spoiled so I probably have another 50 hours I can get out of it. Great time sink game tho I’ll give it that
yes, then it repeats with NG+ and you have to do it 10 more times. it's legit only about 15-20 quests long. the biggest quest in the game is the neon one with walter im pretty sure. after that its all literally just fetching artifacts.
Anonymous
Well that is disappointing I still have the ryujin questline I could finish and some do the small quests damn in a lot closer to the end then I thought I figured it would have had more to the story since it never really picked up.

Just do all the faction quests and clean up the smaller ones. You can leave the main story quest until you're way done.

I only have neons quests because I find it to be a shithole that I always end up wanted in every trip there I end up with a bounty so I feel like it has not fit my bounty hunter playthrough
It’s a niche and you need to have incredibly autistic shit in it for its fans to find enjoyment in. It’s a real gamble I think it’s good it flopped because more normalgays will abandon Bethesda and if that happens maybe they can take the hint and make a morrowind successor for all the neets that actually play their game’s and were always the people they should have been making games for. If that happens tes 6 might be great
That's unironically it.
This game is what you make of it. If you're bland and boring, the game will feel bland and boring.
>space is a niche genre
It flopped cause it is not a real space game.
It's a space themed fallout game.
>It flopped cause it is not a real space game.
"space game" doesn't mean anything though.
Starfield, No Man's Sky, Stellaris, Mass Effect, Elite Dangerous, Homeworld, FTL.
Those are all "space games" see how stupid of a name it is ?
I really enjoy the game, still playing it on a new character after having finished lvl 65 on my first, I think this is the type of game that people will come back to it after the "youtube gays told me it was trash" phase is over in a few months
I agree. People are doing it now with cyberpunk, no man's sky, new vegas was regarded as worse than fallout 3 on release. Opinions of products changes a lot over time, especially nowadays that the 'influencer' perspective is so highly regarded for some reason

"Outsourcing le bad" is the weird argument used for starfield for some reason. And picrel is the staff of one of those companies. Pajeets are fricking everywhere in the games' industry

Ok so then I guess pajeets didnt ruin the game and it's just bad becuase bethesda is bad. Not sure if this is the win you were hoping for here?
The engine is just too outdated and is complete dogshit, they should have just made another elder scrolls. It did have an impact though, I think a lot of people now know the standard of release content. It made other games look better like cp2077.
why would viewership matter? I despise BG3 more than anyone but its a lot more viewer friendly simply because of its nature; its an interactive movie movie, like CP2077. No one would watch the way I am playing Starfield, which hinges on containing the plushie menance.

starshit needs a triple stacked 4090 and SSD drives to barely run a town with 3 shacks at 30 fps.
modern gayming is a piece of shit and both of you are Black folk for shilling any of them.
Nobody's shilling starfield. It has a couple of fans but all of the threads are just snoys convincing themselves their console has games and butthurt tencent shills
it actually did not, numbers are fricked up because of refunds and/or updates or some shit. cyberpunk had 1mil goys at launch.
Other than that it is pretty popular game. Had you been living under the rock?
its a better game and also CP2077 had a huge push on gog for its launch. a lot of people probably had BG3 on steam already because of early access. im pretty sure if you bought cyberpunk on gog you get bonus stuff in game like witcher armor and stuff so at the same price point a lot of people probably just went with the gog version.
If everyone is botting then no one is botting. I doubt a small studio from Belgium has the funds to outbot the big guns, especially considering how expensive the game seems.

Nobody likes indian curry Black folk but what does that have to do with the conversation. Starfield is made by the whitest people on the planet which is why it's so bland.
For as long as Bethesda still uses Gamebryo, their games will remain in this mediocre at best range.
>hurr durr it's not the engine's fault the devs are just incompetent
Yeah because they're incompetent they're afraid of switching to a new stack and they keep sticking to the one they've been using for 20 years. If you think they haven't hit the engine limitations you're a moron.
the fact that the anti-starfield shills screech about india and indians immediately in every one of these threads is proof that it's chinese tencent shills doing it. nobody but the chinks have such a deranged hateboner for the jeets that they live rent free in their heads 24/7

I sunk like 60 hours into this game on launch and then just stopped playing
exploring is too easy, the big cities are all low level leaving little room for anything other than just fighting enemies, story is generic and uninspired with only like 3 fractions, looter shooter type drops but then you lose all of them on NG+... I could go on
this basically feels like bethesda released a template for modders to build and improve upon. game will actually be good in about 5 years

Because I didn't do a headcount and it's close enough to 8 that it doesn't matter, which is why I said "like 8" instead of "exactly 8". It's no more than 15 and most of them are shoebox sized on the inside. No apartments to sneak into or loot. No backrooms in stores or shops. Restaurants without kitchens or chefs. You get around 10 giant skyscrapers with FRICK ALL to do or see in them.
the technology level doesn't really make sense, but it's a nice city. i've seen several people complain about lack of maps and that they are difficult to navigate. seriously? run around for 10 mins exploring and you can have the place memorized top to bottom
No, you really can't because everything looks the same and is copy and pasted. I spent about 25 minutes looking for the cowboy world book store because she asked me to bring back any old world books to her and that's basically all you find in the game anyway so I was trying to return and see if I'd get anything unique or cool for doing that. Took forever to find because all the buildings look the same and there's no signs or maps that tell you where what you're looking for is. And in the end she didnt even give me anything cool she just paid an extra hundred space caps for the books.

you forgot Cydonia. but there are also cool towns in the game like hopetown, gagarin, new homestead, the red mile, paradiso, the key, off the top of my head.
Only saw Red Mile and Paradiso out of the ones you listed but both of those were literally 1 building on an otherwise empty planet with 1 quest each. So I assume the rest of your list is being similarly exaggerated when you call them "cool towns"
>THIS IS IT. >THESE ARE THE BIG 3.
They're still pretty shit but they are better than any city in any bethesda open worlds until now.
So what's the issue ?
Beside moronic expectations I mean.
If you had no expectations this would be better you unironically have no standards whatsoever. This game is disgustingly bland and small despite any reasonable expectation of an open-world game

They did, the cities are all dense af you're always tripping over content when you go there and not giving you birds eye gear away shots where everything looks small regardless. With the way things are laid out and how you take the tram everywhere it's easy to give the illusion that you only see parts of the city when you're there. Also, again, it's missing an entire level of the city

>They did, the cities are all dense af you're always tripping over content when you go there
This is such a fricking lie LMFAO why are you even doing this
the first hour in new atlantis you get 3 fetch quests including running errands for strangers picking up priceless old earth artifacts that they inexplicably trust you with, and getting coffee for a ladyjanny
There is no fricking "content"
the first city has 2 separate "heres 5 switches i marked on your map go press them for me" quests LOL

I put in 100 hours into the game and pirated it, there's literally a ton of content, more than any other game. The quests you mentioned are just random silly little quests that you wander and find and if you dont like it you can just not do them and find something else that interests you, new atlantis gave me like 20-30 quests alone from the topside let alone the underground city there with a separate amount of quests there too.

>just random silly little quests that you wander and find and if you dont like it you can just not do them and find something else that interests you
this is the crux of the problem though anon
that's what ALL of the quests are
literally I can come up with dozens of them if i sit here and think >deliver the letter to the mars marine from his sister because for some reason post is the fastest communication method in this space game with FTL travel >pick up the sensors around the map >go fetch the gem for me >go fetch the olive branch for me >go flip the switches for me > go fetch the dragon ball books for me >go fetch the cowboy lore books for me > go fetch a coffee for me >go getch a coffee for the entire board room >go fetch the ingredients for this drink i want to make
the entire fricking game is nothing but fetch quests so no, if those aren't really your thing, you're pretty much shit out of luck for other more interesting content. and that's without even counting the fact that the main storyline is basically 9 rounds of "fetch the artifact in this copy/pasted temple".

>why dont you put energy into this boring slog of shit that takes 15 minutes to walk anywhere so you might as well just fast travel because there's nothing to see running from the space port to the train station to the UC building for the 40th time
Maybe because it's a boring slog of shit and I'd rather put energy into fun video games that don't require you to mindlessly grind away piss easy tasks for false senses of progression. This game is like the normie 3d version of cookie clicker.
agreed which is why I wish there was more of them. by like level 20 or so you've seen them all and planets 30-75 are all just the same generic enemies
high level cities and additional questlines would really make all the difference, or a hardcore survival mode where it's harder to reach the outer planets
Then why did they instead pack it with ugly randomly generated NPCs that ask you to fetch them coffee and delivery their letters to other people instead of like, actual content?
If I was a professional in the game industry, the only reason I'd want to actually join BGS as a new employee would be to formally and directly leave my mark on these games (that I presumably am a fan of) on vanilla release because of some kind of psychological complex.
Of course, such a decision would mean I'd be knowingly willing to work alongside many other people with similar complexes.
No one in their right mind and with any amount of real skill would want to join Bethesda as a new employee after 2011.
I don't know how anyone finds a creation engine game ok in 2023. It was dogshit in 2015 and what improvements have their been since fo4, truly? Its an embarrasment for Bethesda though with zoomers nothing really matters.
as far as i can tell, poor nerds.
the only thing ever talked about BG3 was the sex, and that only lasted a few days, and now nobody even remembers BG3 exists at all.
pathetic sex scenes can only carry a bad game so far.

BG3 is incredibly popular because it's pretty much a high budget western erotic game. The largest demographic for BG3 is pretty much women, if you look on social media and streams, it's all just women playing it because ther's a multitude of hot guys in it that make them wet. For guys there's pretty much just shadowheart and that's it.
If you realize that BG3's popularity stem from tapping into the female market, it makes a lot of sense why it's so popular.

it looks and works the exact same way as single player you just have other people playing the other characters
bethesda games are great when you realise theyre awful but have that Todd charm of exploiting/manipulating everything about it to show how shit of a developer he is
its legitimately bizarre a company like Bethesda can produce crap like Starfield.
If Bethesda was a band of musicians you'd just tell them to quit because they can't make music.
Bethesda just can't make games.
Yet defying all rational logic they still manage to make money from marketing hype.
This would be like if a band like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones got upstaged by a band of down syndrome musicians
There's only like 4 proper towns in the game and they're separated by forced fast travel. Npcs are just soulless unreactive set pieces. There is no sense of progression because reputation doesn't matter, game is so easy perks wouldn't even matter if gameplay elements weren't locked behind them (can't even use jetpack without a perk etc). No genuinely interesting random events to come across, space exploration is non-existent. Insultingly poor quality main story/power acquisition with temple spam. It's uninspired, badly written, badly realized trash. Legit so bad that any good mods for the game will probably be ones that remove the base game entirely other than recycling its assets.
I dropped it after 25 hours. Where are the alien spaces races, where are the land vehicles? Every planet is empty and boring. A majority of the loot is filler garbage, no point to picking up anything beyond ammo and credits.
There should have been more of a build up to getting your first ship, instead of it being handed to you on a silver platter after the first scene. Oh and then a majority of ship building is gated behind perks lol
Story is boring, I feel like I'm fast traveling to each location to run glorified fetch quests. WHAT was Bugthesda thinking
The joke is stale but it really is just Skyrim with guns except it's actually worse because of repeated procedurally generated content and loading screens. One of the best things about Bethesda games is just getting lost and wandering the map which is mostly lost in Starfield just so Todd can meme about 1000 planets.
I'm like 40 hours in and every cave I've bothered with has just been empty with minerals in it (another worthless feature) so I just stopped bothering with them. Are there actually any worth bothering with or are you just talking about POIs in general?
Todd made his dream game that he wants to play and it filters people and that's okay. Not everyone has to like every game and Starfield is just a game that panders to boomers who enjoy space games they've played as a kid in the 1980s.
I'm 40 year old and Starfield is my dream space game. I struggle to think of any scifi game that does anything it does well and implements all the systems I want in one game well.
>and implements all the systems I want in one game well.
such as?
Starfield's caves are better than skyrims caves
I did about 9 of them and they were all fricking empty besides some mid-tier loot that I didn't even bother taking because its value wasnt worth giving up the weight, and some materials you could buy for dirt cheap from any planet with a vendor on it
you're unable to actually articulate what you like about the game
does that not bother you at all? does any part of you think "uh oh i should be able to do this"?

The best parts of Starfield (which are still average) are done better by Cyberpunk of all things. Better shooting, more diverse playstyles, better NPC interactions, vehicles, exploration, etc.
Is it possible to get a starfield thread without the same people posting the same anti starfield images and copy pasting the same "starfield is shit" arguments about a game they havent played and do something new?
Maybe if the game was better so many people wouldn't find it so easy to tear apart? It's really a truly bad video game from top to bottom. From aesthetics to gameplay to design to writing. It's just awful. And bland too. Completely forgettable.
The story is good, the side quests are great. It has a cool speedrun route too. Among the people that played it even the ones who hate it routinely talk about how they put 60+ hours into it. Starfield is like mopeds or fat girls; people are ashamed to be into it because chuds overblew how woke it is. There are too many Black person side characters though
By and large the average person would just bumrush the main story so I can see how people's perception is negative about the game as that is probably the worst part about it. I was surprised how much more I enjoyed the faction side quests but thinking back on other Bethesda games, those are usually the best parts (stuff like Dark Brotherhood quests). So maybe I should've expected it.
Makes sense to me. The faction side stories would be a main story in other video games. The fact that SF's main story quest is relatively muted in comparison tend to color a bad perception towards people who never wander and do anything else.
I’ve got over 100 hours and have barely touched the main quest. The whole idea behind RPGs and Bethesda games in particular is to go off the beaten path.
I'm one of those guys that bumrushed the main game and I am still defending it. Yeah, the ending and NG+ implementation left a bad taste in my mouth, but it provided meta commentary on my choice of playstyle, which I appreciate
they drank the "mods will fix it" kool-aid a little too much this time
starfield is a framework begging for modders to create interesting content for
the problem being there isn't enough official meat on that bone to keep people interested long enough for that to happen
I suspect Bethesda is aware of that now and is scrambling to get an expansion out sooner rather than later
this was supposed to be the microsoft flagship title. I dont understand how it failed this bad. It should be the game everyone buys this year but it isnt.
Reminder: If you ask a starfield "fan" to actually explain what they find fun about it, they will literally never answer, and just start attacking you with buzzwords instead.
I like the ship combat, I like building the ships, I like walking around and clearing bounties and clearing outposts. I've been enjoying the story too and I think it's better than their previous games writing-wise. Overall I think it's great and worth a pirate and starfield is a good that that's unfairly hated on for some reason.
Also I hate trannies, Black folk and indians and I want all of them to die. I also despise israelites.
>I've been enjoying the story too and I think it's better than their previous games writing-wise
you were almost believable up until this point but now that you say you enjoy the non-existent story I know you're either a marketer or a simpleton whos opinion i have no reason to respect because you like wafer thin lowest common denominator committee slop like the starfield story featuring no antagonist and a group of not so misfitting misfits that just want to be nice and help people.
Seethe harder. I actually like the Ryujin questline that does a corpo questline I always wanted in Cyberpunk and the Crimson Fleet questline is interesting as well infiltrating them and learning their lore.
you liked it because you're a moronic person. i'm familiar with that quest. worst questline in the game. that's the one where they tell you to sneak everywhere but you can still get full points for stealth by just running through every area with guns blazing because they give you a machine gun with blue bullets that are actually special knockout bullets that make shooting people with them non-lethal because the stealth in this game is bad and the game is designed for fricking morons.
>infiltrating them and learning their lore
Go on. Share some of this epic lore with us. I'm super excited to finally learn the backstory of the brown dyke brigade.
NTA but their backstory is actually pretty cool. You'd know if you played it, whoops

I did play it. There was barely a back story. The krix guy was in a prison and oopsie daisy'd his way into finding a bank ship that makes no sense. It's not a well written story. But you weren't able to tell me anything about it or its lore because you're a simpleton that just says things he likes are good without knowing or thinking about why.
I’m a white male too, but why do you hate Indians? Their females are usually beautiful, they have great food and culture, and they brought us Buddhism. Sure a lot of them might smell bad and a sizable portion of online scammers might be from their country but I don’t see why you would hate them so much overall.
After watching people play it for a few hours, I’d say the terrible dialogue and awful speaking animations tanked it. How is it so bad in starfield but so amazing in bg3? Beth just sucks these days.
>game supposedly sucks >every thread is full of homosexuals shedding actual tears that some people aren't calling it the next TORtanic
What do you call this phenomenon?
Discord trannies getting BTFO that's what. The only people who seethe so hard at people finding it "okay" and "fun" must be taking hormones because they all sound like histrionic women.
People are just too upset with wanting to be mad over shit. It's the video game equivalent to rage bait. I played through Starfield. There isn't really anything offensively bad about it. The primary feeling I got was that I was playing a game from 15 years ago. Bethesda really hasn't done anything innovative since Skyrim despite the rest of the gaming community continuing to advance in various ways.
So the most offensive part about it is that it feels extremely dated. I didn't really think it was completely unplayable trash or anything. It more so just felt like I was playing some emulated 360 game with a little bit prettier graphics.
Its not the kind of game worth watching. Its like watching someone read an amazing peter jackson book. Its amazing, but you have to read it and play it yourself. What, are you supposed to watch someones entire 100 hour play through? Who does that.
Procedural generation sucks dick in RPGs, most of the game is procedurally generated.
Also loading screens simulator, fast travel simulator, no real overworld map.
>It will be considered a forgotten classic. NostalgiaBlack folk will go crazy about this game in 20 years.
No, they won't because they won't ever have a reason to go back to it. It does nothing better than previous bethesda games. I can see people going nostalgia crazy for FO3 and skyrim, and a much smaller group for FO4, but starfield does nothing better than those games.
Don't need to buy GamePass games son. Thats the whole point of GamePass. This month I have Starfield, Sea Of Stars, Loes Of P and Forza Motorsport. Hope you don't spend money on games lmao.
Imagine thinking 'owning video games' is a good thing.
lmao this is why I have a hot 8/10 gf to frick everynight and you don't. I'll give my qtpi a 3-hole dicking later and put her to bed wet, and then go downstairs and play Starfield with a chilled Radebeger. Make sure and cry about video games on Ganker.
Starfield was free and I'd rather play that instead.
I'm glad I can play my games anything I want without ShitPass membership. Like playing Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim without paying the loan shark a GamePass fee lmfao at you.
Retired-in-place upper management who don’t give a frick managing team-leads and middle management made up of 80 IQ diversity hires who in turn aren’t capable of doing anything worth a shit, regardless of whether they give a shit, who in turn are leading droves of third-world contract labor.
This is the definitive ‘what happened’ of starfield.
It is a terribly designed, bland, and boring game. It’s a step back in many ways, even compared to other Bethesda games. Anyone involved in the creation of this game should be embarrassed. I collectively have thousands of hours in prior Beth games and have made mods for both Skyrim and FO4. I will likely make a few to fix the garbage in starfield once xedit and the creation kit come out but overall the state and design of this game makes me very worried for what TES6 will be.
>get curious >check the companies that worked on cyberpunk 2077 >56(!) different companies worldwide worked on it >a bunch of them also worked on starfield
Why'd no one comment on this when Cyberpunk came out and sucked?
because cyberpunk was good on release if you weren't a console cuck so no one who played it on PC actually felt like the game was bad enough to point it out. the consolecucks literally couldn't play the game to completion to see the credits.
Took this on my pirated release 8 days after it came out. Game ran like shit, it was buggy, the story was shit, the characters were unlikeable. They 'fixed' the first two, but the latter parts - the most important ones - will always be there. All because of le wholesome chungus slop
Lol what? Kerry is a fricking amazing character. So is Panam and Rogue, even Jackie and Johnny. Just cause you didn't play for more than 20 minutes doesn't give you the right to spout bullshit.
I beat the whole game. Jackie, his girlfriend, and his mom are the only likeable characters. Every single other person in the game is detestable. >Feel bad for this woman who tried to doublecross you and now she's in a coma because the Black person gang got double crossed by her and fried her brain!
>play through starfield >gf enjoys it >start playing cyberpunk >gf starts getting algorithm-ed a bunch of negative starfield stuff >all of a sudden just starts shitting on starfield and how much better cyberpunk is
Is this how all this stuff regularly impacts normies? I don't understand how you can form your own opinion of a game and immediately shift just because you see a bunch of viral videos saying "hurr durr game bad".
I refunded Cyberpunk too originally because it was a bit buggy and she was shitting on that too then during the initial release. 2.0 fixed some stuff, but it's not like it's a brand new game. For the most part, it's pretty much the same so it's just really curious to see it happen in real time.
To your point, we did watch the anime and she really enjoyed it but when I saw some of the new Edgerunner stuff like David's niche, she said she didn't even remember who David was...this moron is lucky I love her.
to be honest, I liked Starfield at first too, but then I went back to Cyberpunk to try out 2.0 and the difference in animation quality (especially with facial animations), lack of loading screens, overall polish made me realize how far behind Starfield really is.
And no I didn't watch any israelitetube shitters either
Oh for sure. I don't disagree at all. Cyberpunk feels like it's two generations ahead of Starfield after playing them back to back. It's pretty insane when you compare the two.
It was more so that just because I'm enjoying Cyberpunk doesn't all of a sudden make Starfield a shit game in my mind. I find it really hard to understand the type of people that just write off a game entirely as "this game bad" or "shit game". If anything, it just allows me to appreciate the detail in Cyberpunk more.
or perhaps she didnt get algorithm'd and thats just your cope. maybe people shit on starfield and she sees it because there's very little positive starfield content out there. it's mostly middling to bad. then to top it off she started playing a better game and says "wow this is better than shartfield" in comparison. thats not her being algo'd its you coping.
>PC version runs like shit for most pcgays (who are poor) >PS5 version doesn't exist >Switch version doesn't exist >Last gen console versions don't exist
Even ignoring everything else Starfield is a game that can only be played by people who have the least popular console or an actually good PC. People who have good PC's generally have played a lot of games so they thought Starfield sucks, which basically means it's a game for Xbox owners. You may as well ask why Wii U or PS Vita games didn't have any staying power
The coolest part about Starfield is that they use screenshots for loading screens.
The worst part about Starfield is the fact there are so many loading screens that this ends up being a necessary feature to improve enjoyment of the game.
> Boring, non-existent lore > No aliens or interesting culture > 0/10 awful “plot” > Game has horrible level design > No endgame aside from the No Mans Sky non ending gimmick. > no weapon variety lack of interesting weapons in a looter shooter > procedurally generated slop > game is as barebones as it gets > Obvious bating for creator club content and never ending DLC releases; GOTY edition, Ultimate edition, super special mega edition, VR edition, Game Cube edition, etc.
Bethesda has finally shown their hand and produced a game truly for no one. It’s a soulless boring slop of Onions for their absolute die hard fans and apologists. Bethesda is a game studio with no ambition and is resting on their laurels as a premier “RPG game studio” that only the most delusional normies still buy into. Bethesda stripped even the bare bones phone if games like Fallout 4 to see just what the consumer will buy and took 8 fricking years to do it. ES6 won’t arrive until almost 2 decades after the last, and it’ll be even worse than this. Starfield just takes the blinders off for most because it’s not a game set in a universe beloved by many.
But hey, you can make a wiener and ball space ship so 10/10 I guess
True the weapon and ammo attachments put it in the top tier of weapon variety. Shooting a fully auto machine gun with explosive bullets is fricking awesome. And the shotgun with Tesla pylons. Too bad you need to level up a fricking research skill 4 times to get that
>spacesuit says it is valued over 5k >get like 200 credits for it
i know it's perk-related but like how many points do i have to dump to close this moronic huge gap
i really hate perk systems that are like >wait until you level to get +10%, wait until you level to get +15%, etc
it's completely thoughtless
Just keep playing the game, you'll reach a point where you'll get so much credits you dont know what to do with them since the only credit sink is just building the ships.
It'll be a while, but they exist for Fallout 4 so maybe porting them is easy enough. At least one fat ass and titty creator is going to make mods for it as well (creator of picrel)
I really don't get people who enjoy playing this, is it their first Bethesda game or something?
The loading screens, the empty world, the shit story, the dogshit graphics and horrible performance.
It's literally the same soulless shit over and over again.
Why do you think I'm obsessed just because I'm on the same website you are sharing my opinion on the same game you're sharing your opinion on? I think the game sucks and I'm more than welcome to share my opinion on why that is in here. That doesn't make me obsessed. Stop being a crying whiney baby just because people don't like the mindless slop you fawn over.
I really hope that now I finished college and got a job will be able to afford better parts. Haven't upgraded my PC since 2017. Still feels like it was a few days ago.
It's just that Todd no longer makes games. Most if not all creative minds of late 90s and 2000s have no creativity left in them and have essentially retired. Todd is not an exception.
It's a fine game, even a great one. The problem is over saturation. There are so many "epic" first person rpgs now a days that it just doesn't stand out.
It's a shame that Bethesda's amazing ideas have passed them by.
The same will happen to from.
got a question when first saw this there is a chef origin or something can you even cook and be a space chef instead of persuasion checks we bribe npc with food or something.
I have not played this game by the way just curious.
The cooking is just another skill tree thing. It's the exact same system as crafting/weapon mods/suit mods except it uses food instead of materials. There is no bribing or roleplay use of the skill.
yeah I felt the same way picking sculptor only to realize it's brought up twice as flavor text from NPCs and doesn't give any dialogue options or special abilities or story aspects. i figured since there's an art dealer in the main city maybe there'd be an interaction or quest to work with him on a sculpture or something. nope, just gets brought up in the intro and aboard the UC ship before the crimson fleet mission. and both times its just basically the npc saying "you used to be a sculptor huh? how'd you end up here? anyway-" before just continuing on with the regular dialogue.
most of the background things in the character creation function that way. almost none of them give you dialogue options except neon street rat which does have a couple, but nothing that alters the game beyond flavor text.
The 'art dealer' is actually a drug dealer. There is a good amount of dialogue for some backgrounds, but it's not distributed very well. Sculptor gets like... 2. While Industrialist, the one I picked, gets about 50
The cooking is just another skill tree thing. It's the exact same system as crafting/weapon mods/suit mods except it uses food instead of materials. There is no bribing or roleplay use of the skill.
If you have it as a background origin there are probably a few scattered dialog choices for it. But they're few and far between.
I had a few Industrialist choices but they were infrequent and even fewer actually let me later the conversation flow. Usually just an option and a comment from the NPC then back to the script.
Sorry but Starfield is bad because you get everything in the game when you buy it, plus mods for free. I only like slop where I have to buy DLC to add features they promised before release, like Cyberpunk 2077.
>have to buy DLC to add features they promised before release, like Cyberpunk 2077.
what features did they leave out of release and paywall behind DLC? be specific
They did specifically make outposts useless because there is no logistical automation. Despite this system already existing for FO4 as DLC. They're going to sell it as DLC again. Mark my words.
I finished all the major quest lines, dabbled in outposts, and did what sidequests caught my attention in 70 hours.
My conclusion: resoundingly mid game
It's probably the most technically stable Bethesda game in quite awhile. There is way less of the usual Beth jank. But there is a surprisingly lack of effort in everything else.
My expectations going into this were low. I expected space themed gamebryo game functionally identical to every beth game but with NASA theme applied and that's mostly accurate.
BUT, bethesda somehow managed to even come in under those expectations. Most of the quest lines are incredibly boring and completely lack alternate solutions that aren't Persuade check or Shoot At Designated Time.
It's actually kind of baffling how much they lean into the Super-Essential flag that makes NPCs just completely ignore bullets instead of even pretending to be injured.
The game is full of half-thought out ideas that were quickly patched over with solutions to shove it out the door. Outposts vs buying resources, jump fuel that automatically refills, ground breaking developments that are completely forgotten in other quest lines, stealth mechanics for a game where you wear heavy armor 100% of the time. It's just very bizarre. It's like every quest or system was a first pass concept that was never developed further.
I fully expect they wanted this game to come out a year ago in an even worse state but MS refused to let them and made demands. Beth checked off the list of technical bugs but refused to do anything about the lackluster writing and quest design because that would have added more work.
Really the strange thing is how rigid and inflexible the quests are, completely robbing the player of agency, when the entire theme of the MSQ is that the player can become a starborn and free of consequences because they can always reset the universe. Let me murder everyone and then jump to a new universe to try the quest again. no brainer wtf?
This game is so soulless it could be generated by AI
Like 65-70% of what you see ingame is made by an ai out of a pool of assets so i guess thats why
This the game is legitimately too safe/sterile to leave any meaningful impact the game legitimately feels like walking around Disney world rather than bring in an actual universe how ANYONE at Bethesda thought this was okay is absolutely fricking baffling
>it could be generated by an AI
it literally is.
It seems to make snoys pretty upset doe
planets are empty besides the same repeated outposts, shit enemy variety, shit companion variety, shit weapons variety, ugly npcs, no cool fallout/elder scrolls lore/world/races/etc to save it
So a Bethesda game but a new IP not banking on boomers nostalgia?
>It seems to have had no impact whatsoever.
it showed us how bad games can be and not to take them for granted
all of it, i'm struggling to think anything it did right, shipbuilder i guess?
even thats just a stripped down version of fo4 base building and it doesnt do anything unique that the fricking gummyship system in KH didnt do in 2002
Except unlike kh starfield has fun gameplay
I have 185 hours it’s a really good time sink for neets but it filtered alot of normalgays that can’t use their imagination. It has a lot of problems but apparently space is a niche genre and it is a slow burn of a game so people probably think it’s boring.
>bro just imagine the game is good
kek
Stay salty
It has a lot of potential but because normalgays need shitty story’s and space magic we can’t get any expanded life sim type content
looter shooters are fun
Eh I’ve never really played them only this and fallout 4 they have an ok game loop but it’s too dependent on dopamine muh legendary gear. I just don’t see it as the strength of the game. It’s kept me busy but that’s what this game is. A giant time sink perfect for neets that don’t have much going on but normalgays don’t want to come home and work in their games they don’t have the discipline for it
Didn't ask
Maybe you shouldn’t respond if you don’t want my wisdom anon if my answers trouble you then it is not the seer that is at fault
It doesn't take discipline to veg out and press the attack button
It takes some displine to keep doing it or at least not to cheat too much and roll legendary guns from downed enemies or just use a particularly useful glitch to make that process easier the thing is it takes displine to even get to that point where you are figuring out how to break the game and if someone comes home and has to use their brain to break the game to their favor it still feels like work. There is a lot discipline in anything you do. Maybe you just lack discipline in other aspects of your life to even see it
If you think not cheating in a super easy braindead lootershooter-lite singleplayer game is discipline then you have no actual discipline
its inane that you're trying to say that while also saying it takes discipline to not cheat "too much" meaning you are still doing it even after that lol
You just don’t appreciate and acknowledge the little discipline you have
>this rotund motherfricker thinks that sinking 300 hours into toddslop is discipline
if you had any actual discipline you'd shut that garbage game off and do something worth doing in your time
When I see many of the issues you see yes it does take discipline to keep going discipline can be in anything you are too simple to understand that. If you can’t find meaning in even the most dull of situations then you are not intelligent enough to live a good life.
>no you don't understand, i'm 600 pounds because i'm TOO DISCIPLINED to stop eating triple cheese burgers and frosty chocolate milkshakes. i just don't have that quit in me.
You are gaslighting yourself into playing and caping for a bad game.
Meds
>got to NG+3
>It is a terribly designed, bland, and boring game. It’s a step back in many ways, even compared to other Bethesda games. Anyone involved in the creation of this game should be embarrassed.
You're a larper or you're the one should be embarrassed
Do you work for Bethesda or something? Why are you so offended by criticisms of a legitimate mediocre game?
It's not a good look for your entertainment product to have to need "discipline" to enjoy it lmao
If people wanted discipline, they wouldnt be playing a video game.
imo the fallout/elder scrolls worlds are just a lot more interesting than starfield
Nah also Beth doesn't get Fallout for shit, that's the problem with Ganker these days, too many zoomer Oblivion dick lickers
oblivion is a millennial's game. skyrim was zoomers' first bgs open world.
>Where's all the heckin Marvel quips!!!
Unfortunately for you the art direction is spot on making it an enjoyable and destined to be well liked romp and you will just have to sit here and seethe as people continue to talk about it
The marvel quips are the one thing the game has you mouthbreathing inbred. It has those in spades.
It’s not great it has issues but it’s not as bad as fallout 4 was
>you had way too high expectations of Bethesda
Todd hyped this game like no tomorrow. Space exploratiion, passion dream project, something never been seen before. Not skyrim with guns in space.
No he didn't, shills on here were so they could shit on it when it falls short. I kept my expectations in check and was pleasantly surprised.
yes he did
please dont post this disgusting shit anymore
No
lol
>No he didn't, shills on here were so they could shit on it when it falls short.
You belong in an asylum. This is fricking dangerous levels of delusion. Just to be 100% clear: You're saying bethesda antis were SHILLING this game and hyping it up specifically to shit on it later? You're fricking insane man. Todd is a known liar and has a reputation for lying. This isn't on some giant shadow cabal of people trying to 4D chess bethesda enjoyers out of liking the game. It's fricking insane how delusional some of you guys are over this game. Just admit you like slop man. It's fine. You are completely allowed to like bad video games.
Uh huh 😉
If you played the game you can tell it's a passion dream project though, there's a lot of SOUL put into it.
Todd is a liar anon he has been for years every time he comes out it’s to lie. Is this a new experience for you to have? Of course he is a lair why would you believe him and set your expectations to his bullshit. He is a marketing guy he probably has nothing to do with even making the games I’m sorry you are a zoomer and just learning this but you are stupid for believing todd.
I remember same shit in wow dragonflight. Those gays are mindbroken.
Pajeet destroyed!
>tfw I’ve never received so much approval in my whole life
jeetbros…
>slow burn
I wish you homosexuals burn slowly in hell
Cry harder zoom zoom
I didn't think snoys believed in Hell
>but it filtered alot of normalgays that can’t use their imagination
That's not me being filtered, it's you not having standards. "dude just imagine you're playing a good game" does not make it a good game. you're willing to cope to pretend a bad game is good. i am not.
the fact that you read the line "normalgays who can't use their imagination" and immediately got triggered and had to reply says a lot about you.
Not really. What does it say about me? I saw someone trying to imply that people don't like this game because of a lack of imagination and that simply isn't true. The game is made for moronic people. What does my post say about me anon?
>t. mad
>t. moronic person
Meanwhile people with a funtioning brain played it for 3 hours, saw that the extent of "roleplaying" is doing railroaded missions then doing copy/pasted contracts in copy/pasted locations, and dropped the game because if you're putting this much work into not being bored with a game why the FRICK are you not just playing a more fun game
me playing cyberpunk
You can do this in literally any fricking game. In this game like 75% of people you shoot are immortal. How do you fricking larp that one? Are they all Highlanders? Get some fricking standards, Jesus Christ
i had a good time and now i'm giving it a break probably until next year. it was fun
Same, game is great, nearly all of the “issues” people harp on are either not a big deal or were design decisions better than the alternative being suggested.
>Same, game is great, nearly all of the “issues” people harp on are either not a big deal or were design decisions better than the alternative being suggested.
i honestly don't see the issue. some of those are pretty funny
then you are the issue
yeah what kind of moron wants good dialogue in an RPG game built around dialogue and quests
no one ever interacts with npcs in bethesda games right
fricking moron
Yeah but they decided to focus on the gameplay and I can live with that. Nobody's saying the game is perfect, but shills are having a meltie because people are enjoying it 🙂
Are people enjoying it? The playercount and reception seems to indicate they're enjoying it less than any other bethesda game prior and far less than games like cyberpunk and baldurs gate 🙂
But it's the biggest Bethesda launch ever mr. Statistics
According to literal marketing material put out by the company? You can't seriously be that naïve can you?
>wokeness is LE BAD
>e-except when cyberpunk and baldur's gate do it! then it's LE GOOD!
bad games are bad. i don't give a frick about gay brown people. especially in a game where I can kill anyone I don't like like BG3.
>BUT WHAT ABOUT THE HECKIN NPC INTERACTERINOS??
So, proving his point?
I’m not done yet I wanna finish the story just so I don’t get spoiled so I probably have another 50 hours I can get out of it. Great time sink game tho I’ll give it that
If you've reached the eye then you've seen all the story has to offer. It's only about 15 fetch quests long.
I have the hunter on my ship is the game almost over?
yes, then it repeats with NG+ and you have to do it 10 more times. it's legit only about 15-20 quests long. the biggest quest in the game is the neon one with walter im pretty sure. after that its all literally just fetching artifacts.
Well that is disappointing I still have the ryujin questline I could finish and some do the small quests damn in a lot closer to the end then I thought I figured it would have had more to the story since it never really picked up.
Just do all the faction quests and clean up the smaller ones. You can leave the main story quest until you're way done.
I only have neons quests because I find it to be a shithole that I always end up wanted in every trip there I end up with a bounty so I feel like it has not fit my bounty hunter playthrough
>and now
>stopped playing the game 3 weeks ago
>space is a niche genre
It flopped cause it is not a real space game.
It's a space themed fallout game.
Starfield is by far the most popular space game ever made though. By no metrics did it flop.
uhh halo?
It’s a niche and you need to have incredibly autistic shit in it for its fans to find enjoyment in. It’s a real gamble I think it’s good it flopped because more normalgays will abandon Bethesda and if that happens maybe they can take the hint and make a morrowind successor for all the neets that actually play their game’s and were always the people they should have been making games for. If that happens tes 6 might be great
That's unironically it.
This game is what you make of it. If you're bland and boring, the game will feel bland and boring.
>It flopped cause it is not a real space game.
"space game" doesn't mean anything though.
Starfield, No Man's Sky, Stellaris, Mass Effect, Elite Dangerous, Homeworld, FTL.
Those are all "space games" see how stupid of a name it is ?
>Imagine the game you paid for wasn't shit
I really enjoy the game, still playing it on a new character after having finished lvl 65 on my first, I think this is the type of game that people will come back to it after the "youtube gays told me it was trash" phase is over in a few months
I agree. People are doing it now with cyberpunk, no man's sky, new vegas was regarded as worse than fallout 3 on release. Opinions of products changes a lot over time, especially nowadays that the 'influencer' perspective is so highly regarded for some reason
look how far down the totem pole your cope has sunk
i still remember when you mongs thought it'd break 1m players after early access
then it was "wait for the first weekend" lel
I was too busy playing the game to shitpost on Ganker about it, sorry
thats really grim
>can’t use their own imagination
I love kenshi moron, shartfield is just trash
kek
/Thread
SAR please stop redeeming the gaem
Good morning sir
I've seen dozens of SEAasiatics who can speak english better than this
Kek
Funny when your imagination is subverted every ten seconds by a loading screen. It's ironically easier to RP in Elite because it's seemless
Design by committee slop. Think of the most generic, corpo movie you've ever seen. Multiply it by 10. That's Starfield.
The problem was partially the fans hyping it up to an unreasonable degree. They were acting like it'd be the second coming when it was only the second coming of FO4.
Meanwhile snoys hyping foamstars like the second coming because they have no games
Made me appreciate Skyrim more.
How did they make a better game with only a quarter of the employees?
Shitrim is shit
India dropped the ball, everything was made in house by whites last time.
t. nonwhite hispanic
If you saw the credits you would see that everyone who worked on starfield is white, besides the army of chink animators they used
"Outsourcing le bad" is the weird argument used for starfield for some reason. Meanwhile baldur's gate 3 has 2000+ names in the credits, 38 different companies worked on elden ring not including any of bandai namco's companies or FromSoftware. And picrel is the staff of one of those companies. Pajeets are fricking everywhere in the games' industry
That means Bethesda has poor quality control because other studios knows how to filter trash while outsourcing.
Ok so then I guess pajeets didnt ruin the game and it's just bad becuase bethesda is bad. Not sure if this is the win you were hoping for here?
>this was supposed to be the greatest game of all time
If you honestly thought that from Bethesda then I don't know what to say, still one of the best space games, a genre in need of one
>still one of the best space games
Source?
>a genre in need of one
There are plenty
The engine is just too outdated and is complete dogshit, they should have just made another elder scrolls. It did have an impact though, I think a lot of people now know the standard of release content. It made other games look better like cp2077.
I like it. Its definitely not winning any awards or setting any records though.
Unironically pronouns. The garbage writing and terrible exploration certainly didn’t help either
Go be a homosexual on pol
it doesn't matter where you go because you're a homosexual regardless. you'll never be a woman though.
Cry more pussy
why would I cry? I already modded your homosexual pronoun mental illness out of my game. i'm just here to laugh at your seething and dilating.
Probably lack of father figure
Troons hate anon for this one simple trick
Go jack off to some Jordan Peterson videos to calm down 🙂
join the ack sweaty 🙂
>He gets triggered by pronouns
Next you morons will be going after adjectives.
pajeet thread
baldurxisters, I don't feel so good...
>someone says bad about thing
>must be fan of other thing
Why are you making shit up you disgusting looney pos?
why would viewership matter? I despise BG3 more than anyone but its a lot more viewer friendly simply because of its nature; its an interactive movie movie, like CP2077. No one would watch the way I am playing Starfield, which hinges on containing the plushie menance.
where are the players you indian Black?
Makes sense, only a subhuman could be impressed by this game
twitch isnt a good measure of anything when one streamer can get like 15k views on any game he wants
Its a made-up bullshit Indian propaganda. Here are the current twitch views.
Hello! SIR? WHY NOONE REDEEMS STARFIELDS? PLEASE SHOW YOUR COPES.
Gamepass
Why noone watching it?
Why noone looking it up?
WHERE ARE THE PLAYERS?
SHY ARE YOU CRYING?
RAJEESH? PLEASE REDEEM THE COPES.
BG3 may be normieslop but that doesn't make it a good game despite how insufferable the fanbase is
Yet it is one of the best rpgs in recent years while Starfield was forgotten in an instant. Curious.
>one of the best rpgs in recent years
laroan games are ass, keep gloating over your Marvel quip sandbox normie wrangler though
I will
You gays hated even witcher3 back then
And Skyrim as well
You always lose
Yeah I do hate shitty games like w3 and shitrim, what's your point?
It's like starfield haters have the worst most obnoxious taste imaginable upset having say through a half way decent game for once
>shitty games like
>w3
ahahah
mindbroken moron
you are always wrong
you always lose
Slurp up that normie GoTslop yum yum!
I will thank you very much.
Keep playing moronic shit like fallout76 and da:inquisition while coping about good games you insufferable subhuman
>laroan games are ass, keep gloating over your Marvel quip sandbox normie wrangler though
its so insane to me that you can string these buzzwords together and not realize you're actually describing starfailed lol
the game is literally made for empty headed NPCs that remember skyrim and want to clap at being able to sideways jank walk up a mountain with nothing on it
What? Normies hate starfield because not enough star wars quips
No they hate it because it's a bad game. It has plenty of homosexualy quips. Can you even provide one single person complaining about a lack of quips or did you literally just haul it directly out of your ass for this post?
You sound like a filtered baby that's mad about being gatekept
I don’t think it’s fair to compare only to BG3.
That doesn’t give the full context to just how JUST’D Bethesda is right now.
>Unturned has more players
this is Diablo IV tier flop
starshit and baldurshit shills are now fighting each other if numbers matter or not, lmao.
>look at my steamcharts numbers!
>oh oh oh and and and
>sales! and and and
BOTH OF YOU are Black folk for shilling both of these games.
balls gay ass is the most cringe pathetic trash RPG ever made.
starshit needs a triple stacked 4090 and SSD drives to barely run a town with 3 shacks at 30 fps.
modern gayming is a piece of shit and both of you are Black folk for shilling any of them.
Nobody's shilling starfield. It has a couple of fans but all of the threads are just snoys convincing themselves their console has games and butthurt tencent shills
How did baldurs gay have more peak launch players than cp2077?
it actually did not, numbers are fricked up because of refunds and/or updates or some shit. cyberpunk had 1mil goys at launch.
Other than that it is pretty popular game. Had you been living under the rock?
its a better game and also CP2077 had a huge push on gog for its launch. a lot of people probably had BG3 on steam already because of early access. im pretty sure if you bought cyberpunk on gog you get bonus stuff in game like witcher armor and stuff so at the same price point a lot of people probably just went with the gog version.
>its a better game
Debatable. Looks more like botting to me.
If everyone is botting then no one is botting. I doubt a small studio from Belgium has the funds to outbot the big guns, especially considering how expensive the game seems.
Tencent helps 😉
They have their own slop to shill. Why would they pump a company they have minority ownership of. They need to pump themselves first.
Because they're desperate communists
That's because you're a fricking moron though. It's not a coincidence that everyone shitting on BG3 are also morons that think larian is buying copies of its own single player RPG to boost player count for ...some reason? The people who dislike BG3 simply don't have working brains.
Nobody's sitting on bg3 just the marketers who won't shut the frick up with their inorganic trash. If you feel personally threatened by people enjoying another game then that's on you
>Baldur Gate 3 fans too busy playing the game
Impossible to discuss without half a dozen anons throwing a tantrum
I hate to admit it, but if they had just launched on PS5 it would be much bigger and more talked about, Oblivion launching on 360 a year before PS3 made sense because the install base numbers were closer, but the Series S/X playerbase is a fraction of the number of PS5 owners, Phil fricked Todd in the ass. they had nothing to lose either, they could have charged Snoys $70 + tax, they’ll still getting paid, makes no business sense aint like no homie gonna buy an Xbox LMAO
It was the blandest, most middling game I've played since the PS2 shovelware era.
Hopefully after several high profile AAA games performing and selling like shit Western publishers will stop outsourcing to India.
Don't be a fricking moron dude, bg3 outsourced even more, rdr2 also.
That simply isn't true. Every game outsources some stuff, but SF was 80% ranjesh and xhang li names.
It is true though
No, it isn't. Microsoft has more indian employees than any other company on the planet.
Look to the credits dude they outsourced to the same studio and they outsourced more. Now go be a clueless racist douchenozzle on /misc/
>if you don't want curry Black folk stealing everyones jobs unfairly and producing garbage while destroying said countries
>you are a racist
Nobody likes indian curry Black folk but what does that have to do with the conversation. Starfield is made by the whitest people on the planet which is why it's so bland.
took 'er jerb
Considering the amount of Indians about to get replaced by chatbots I say it'll get worse. A lot of them will end up in the vidya industry.
Shallow gameplay and bland setting
For as long as Bethesda still uses Gamebryo, their games will remain in this mediocre at best range.
>hurr durr it's not the engine's fault the devs are just incompetent
Yeah because they're incompetent they're afraid of switching to a new stack and they keep sticking to the one they've been using for 20 years. If you think they haven't hit the engine limitations you're a moron.
Nah, Starfield's goated
After you 😉
ywnbaw
starfield lost
troons lost
india lost
>no impact
it was 10 Million players weeks ago, that numbers probably at least doubled since then, nice try Snoy
inflated numbers
the fact that the anti-starfield shills screech about india and indians immediately in every one of these threads is proof that it's chinese tencent shills doing it. nobody but the chinks have such a deranged hateboner for the jeets that they live rent free in their heads 24/7
leafs have joined in the fray too so you can only imagine what that room smells like
Ok so now the new anti-starfield secret CIA level disinformation spreading cabal conspiracy targeting bethesda includes
>Larian Studios
>Tencent
>The FCC
>China
>Pakistan
>Canada
>India
>Belgium
>Russia
Is there any nation that isn't in this schizo delusion world of yours? Who else? Santa? Jesus? Who else do you schizos think is out to get you? Just accept starfield is a trash game everyone hates. You're allowed to like bad things.
Very organic post my dude
Chat gpt reply
Very npc deflective reply my guy!
I could go on
this basically feels like bethesda released a template for modders to build and improve upon. game will actually be good in about 5 years
The cities are all awesome though
there are no cities in starshit.
just look at this shit.
what about them? they look pretty nice to me. were you expecting literally hundreds or thousands of meaningless buildings?
>did you expect a city to look like a city? what are you, stupid or something?
Really super weak argument when they have like 8 buildings in shartfield's capitol and you can barely interact with any of them
>8 buildings
Why lie like this? If you're gonna shit on new atlantis at least do it properly.
No mario makes it more immersive too bethgames have given the zoomies all brain rot
And in the end she didnt even give me anything cool she just paid an extra hundred space caps for the books.
skill issue. she's right next to the house you can buy and super easy to find going past The Rock
you didnt take into account that i didn't buy a house because that's gay and theres no reason to buy a house in bethesda games
you have to already be dumb enough to not notice how empty and copy/pasted the game is to get to the point that you care enough to memorize the cities
>he doesn’t become a land baron to add to his growing power in the galaxy
>he doesn’t think to become a psychopath that meticulously decorates his house with disturbing items or things that remind him of his murder hobo days after he as gotten out of space poverty
No imagination
>he didn't sit there and pretend he's playing a different video game while wasting his life away pouring 300 hours into bethesda slop
You're god damn right I didn't. That still isn't what imagination means.
THIS IS IT.
THESE ARE THE BIG 3.
you forgot Cydonia. but there are also cool towns in the game like hopetown, gagarin, new homestead, the red mile, paradiso, the key, off the top of my head.
Still a great city
>le epic meme flyover view
lol desperate, why don't you put some energy into a game you enjoy instead of mindlessly picking apart one you do not?
there are no cars in the future.
or trucks.
or any vehicles, apparently.
>all the """""cities""""" are literally just a sidewalk with a shop.
what if somebody collapses and needs an ambulance?
the doctor will run with a stretcher for 2 miles?
WHERE
ARE
THE
FRICKING
CARS
IN
THIS
GAME
i dont even want to drive one.
i just want to know HOW DOES THE WORLD FUNCTION WITHOUT VEHICLES.
Walkable cities, anon :^)
more like a walkable village.
>1 office and 3 shops around it
you know what, i dont think this even classifies as a village.
i live in a walkable city in glorious europa.
there are still roads, cars, trucks, vehicles.
bethesda is simply incapable of creating locations, they just cant do it, they never could.
every city in bethesda games is always a hialrious tiny ass little dogshit location with 3 shacks, and im tired of pretending it isnt.
what a joke of a company.
It's called walkable cities
Again more pointless nitpicks
>Woah that's not the size of a reel city!
Great job genius I hadn't noticed 😉
t. american
if your "cities" weren't designed for car hell then you'd understand what a city you can simply walk around in is
Umm they use dragonstarpowers to teleport each other
checkmate chud
that's not a city
this isn't the middle-ages it's the future
You're an idiot
dude the size is fine for fantasy games
the first town in morrowind was better that this shit
You're moronic
You failed to provide any counter-arguments. You got destroyed.
Bethesda is reusing their oblivion npcs to shill it seems
Cry more
lets test
Have you heard about the mudcrabs?
It's the anti-starfield shills who are coming in strong, I just enjoy posting pictures
Did you just agreed with being a shill?
No, that's you and anyone else giving bethesdaslop a pass. It excels at nothing. They can't even make up for the lack of freedom or consequence with good graphics and they can't make up for the lack of good graphics with their world design because they're hacks that don't know how anything works.
I think the game looks great. Fantastic art direction and ost
Then your opinion simply doesn't matter. You're totally in your right to enjoy them but no one is going to take your opinion seriously because you have bad taste, like someone enjoying marvel movies trying to talk about cinema or someone putting taylor swift and lil yvng juixxy gawd in their top 5 musical artists. It's great that you enjoy it but its uninspired slop that looks pretty bad compared to its contemporaries, especially with how limited it is in scope.
And you think yours does?
>industrial grounded space design
>this is somehow the same tier as popculture marvel slop
Lmao, i'd like to live in your world then.
Is it really industrial grounded space design though? Or is it just slightly altered fallout assets because vaults look conveniently similar to all the spaceships and posts in the game?
these incompetent Black folk at bethesa didnt even bother to render an illusion of a vast city, they literally just made a 100x100 meter kindergarten with a sidewalk and expect us to pretend its a gigantic megacity capital of the human race.
what a fricking sad joke.
They did though, you don't normally look at a city at birds eye level, also that shot misses the well and the multi storey towers at each end of neon and the underside. Seethe more.
>They did though
they didnt.
>IT JUST DOESN'T COUNT OKAY???
Keep coping my dude
I put in 100 hours into the game and pirated it, there's literally a ton of content, more than any other game. The quests you mentioned are just random silly little quests that you wander and find and if you dont like it you can just not do them and find something else that interests you, new atlantis gave me like 20-30 quests alone from the topside let alone the underground city there with a separate amount of quests there too.
Pretty sure that if you want to count any little shitty fetch quest as content Ass Creed would end up having more content.
Good thing it doesnt have any lazy content like asscreed then.
AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
my sides
Outside of “fetch quests” “go here and kill somebody” or solve a puzzle what kind of quests are there in games?
You should play witcher3 your mind will be completely blown away
You mean find thing in glowing yellow minimal circle? Yeah real brilliant design
Thousands time more complex than shitfield
laziest withcer3 quest is more involved and complex than the best effort starfield quest
You wanna make that argument when you're defending starfield which literally has blue tinted witcher vision?
> there's literally a ton of content, more than any other game
Proof needed for that bold claim, motherfricker.
>just random silly little quests that you wander and find and if you dont like it you can just not do them and find something else that interests you
this is the crux of the problem though anon
that's what ALL of the quests are
literally I can come up with dozens of them if i sit here and think
>deliver the letter to the mars marine from his sister because for some reason post is the fastest communication method in this space game with FTL travel
>pick up the sensors around the map
>go fetch the gem for me
>go fetch the olive branch for me
>go flip the switches for me
> go fetch the dragon ball books for me
>go fetch the cowboy lore books for me
> go fetch a coffee for me
>go getch a coffee for the entire board room
>go fetch the ingredients for this drink i want to make
the entire fricking game is nothing but fetch quests so no, if those aren't really your thing, you're pretty much shit out of luck for other more interesting content. and that's without even counting the fact that the main storyline is basically 9 rounds of "fetch the artifact in this copy/pasted temple".
>>pick up the sensors around the map
>>go fetch the gem for me
>>go fetch the olive branch for me
>>go flip the switches for me
>> go fetch the dragon ball books for me
>>go fetch the cowboy lore books for me
>> go fetch a coffee for me
>>go getch a coffee for the entire board room
>>go fetch the ingredients for this drink i want to make
This isn't starfield. You're just a whiney israelite who likes to hear his own voice. Play some games, gaygit.
>this isn't starfield

every single fricking one you disingenuous slimy brainwashed NPC homosexual
Get a life
My time is better spent pointing out your bullshit lies shilling for this trash game than your time is wasted playing it.
You probably played it more than me kek
You're a yappy yid with mental illness. Nothing is ever good to you because you were born a schizophrenic israelite, now you spend your days trying to bring everyone down with you
But plenty of games are good to me. Just not this sub-par slop. For someone who keeps calling me a israelite you're shilling this low effort garbage pretty hard Hiam.
>he hates starfield
>even though starfield literally allows you to enslave or kill the last israelites in existence in 2330
ngmi
Did you try enslaving that ship? They get set up with cushy condos and thank you for helping them land the deal. You can't even do your gay nazi larp in this game you're sucking Bill Gates dick to shill lol
You are aware you can literally blow up the whole ship, right? That's what I did because why let it propagate
Because it's a shitty game where none of the consequences matter and you gain nothing by blowing it up, and even if you did the entire thing inherently doesn't matter because the game ends in a time loop? And you're the one that said you could enslave them, not me.
NTA, but you were fricking destroyed loser
Yeah but fetch quests on a game about exploring for resources is goated
Starfield isn't about exploring for resources. You are hindered greatly if you try to explore and mine resources over just buying them at any outpost.
>its ok that the city is literally a street because theres a building on either side of the street and you can take an elevator to go to the underside which has nothing in it either
Keep coping my dude
anon you typed this in the reply box not your daily affirmation text document
>why dont you put energy into this boring slog of shit that takes 15 minutes to walk anywhere so you might as well just fast travel because there's nothing to see running from the space port to the train station to the UC building for the 40th time
Maybe because it's a boring slog of shit and I'd rather put energy into fun video games that don't require you to mindlessly grind away piss easy tasks for false senses of progression. This game is like the normie 3d version of cookie clicker.
Are you kidding the cities are fantastic and walking around is one thing that gives you quests so it sounds to me like you didn't even play it!
What makes the cities fantastic? Be as descriptive and specific as you are physically able to be.
what do they eat?
why 5 hovel hamlet called a city?
agreed which is why I wish there was more of them. by like level 20 or so you've seen them all and planets 30-75 are all just the same generic enemies
high level cities and additional questlines would really make all the difference, or a hardcore survival mode where it's harder to reach the outer planets
No, keeping them to a small number means they can pack each with more content and focus on fewer art assets
No one in their right mind and with any amount of real skill would want to join Bethesda as a new employee after 2011.
starfield just sucks, everything about it is bad
I don't know how anyone finds a creation engine game ok in 2023. It was dogshit in 2015 and what improvements have their been since fo4, truly? Its an embarrasment for Bethesda though with zoomers nothing really matters.
>there is nothing to watch, its a game with no gameplay.
then who bought it?
as far as i can tell, poor nerds.
the only thing ever talked about BG3 was the sex, and that only lasted a few days, and now nobody even remembers BG3 exists at all.
pathetic sex scenes can only carry a bad game so far.
Meanwhile it's still the most popular single player game on steam right now and BTFO every single expectation critically and commercially
>single player
Playing BG3 alone sucks
It’s a multiplayer game?
Yeah, online and splitscreen. I'm playing with my little brother and just ignoring the boring characters.
No wonder it has so many people playing it. Zoomers love multiplayer shit. Why does nobody ever post gameplay of BG?
Because the gameplay is lame. Just turn based DnD stuff.
Then why do so many people have such a boner for BG3 if the gameplay is shit?
Lots of content, frick all RPGs coming out recently, sex options for self inserts and the graphics are realistic enough to not scare away normalgays
So graphics and sex? That’s all it has going for it? Normalgays played Cyberpunk when it came out and it nearly destroyed the company.
Some of those streamers though whew, I'm playing the wrong games...
>play BG3 enough to get an idea of what the game is about
>go find groups of women to talk to about it so you can get a gamer girlfriend
Sounds like a plan
Ah, no wonder. I’ve had zero interest in BG3 every time I go to see actual gameplay I’m assaulted with endless clips of dialogue or sex shit.
to be fair, and Im not defending either game here, the skyrim clips on here are of the hilarious npc faces
it's a pretty straightforward crpg affair
it looks and works the exact same way as single player you just have other people playing the other characters
pajeets endlessly spamming shitposts about the game because they want their chinese owners tencent to get VGA's GOTY under their belt
it's somehow more soulless than skyrim with all the mediocrity of a bethesda game
Bethesda games are only good when you've never played one before, and at this point everyone has.
but i enjoyed F4 as well. i think people like me are probably the "problem", for you. also i should check out some of those quest mods, never did
there must be something very wrong with you
How todd managed to make game worse than Fallout: Frontier?
the game is fun and i love it
bethesda games are great when you realise theyre awful but have that Todd charm of exploiting/manipulating everything about it to show how shit of a developer he is
its legitimately bizarre a company like Bethesda can produce crap like Starfield.
If Bethesda was a band of musicians you'd just tell them to quit because they can't make music.
Bethesda just can't make games.
Yet defying all rational logic they still manage to make money from marketing hype.
This would be like if a band like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones got upstaged by a band of down syndrome musicians
it somehow came out less sophisticated than fallout 3
There's only like 4 proper towns in the game and they're separated by forced fast travel. Npcs are just soulless unreactive set pieces. There is no sense of progression because reputation doesn't matter, game is so easy perks wouldn't even matter if gameplay elements weren't locked behind them (can't even use jetpack without a perk etc). No genuinely interesting random events to come across, space exploration is non-existent. Insultingly poor quality main story/power acquisition with temple spam. It's uninspired, badly written, badly realized trash. Legit so bad that any good mods for the game will probably be ones that remove the base game entirely other than recycling its assets.
people wont bother modding it
there were so little interest in modding fallout4 back in the day that it was never fixed
Fallout's depressing shithole world has a pretty limited scope for modding though. Starfield at least provides a much more open canvass.
Starfield is the game where Bethesda's "modders will fix it" attitude finally comes back to bite them in the ass.
Starfield's caves are better than skyrims caves
some are, most are worse than oblivion
lol Oblivion is just dogshit all around
Is it though?
For me personally it absolutely is. I played baldurs gate 3 three full plays. I lasted 14 hours in starfield. Absolute slop
Starfield's caves are the best caves I've seen in a video game, the next elder scrolls will have a lot of great caves by the looks of it.
Skyrim looks better, runs better and has vr. Also none of Skyrim caves are copy-pasted or reused.
Skyrim looks like shit
Thats simply wrong
no
Yes, modded skyrim looks MUCH better than starfield. Its your problem that you dont have hardware which can run it. Stay mad.
And yet it looks like 90% of the non-moon/desert shartfield planets. Same shitty toothpick trees stuck in clay floors for "forests"
>loading screen to enter a cave like its fricking 2010
lol
I'm like 40 hours in and every cave I've bothered with has just been empty with minerals in it (another worthless feature) so I just stopped bothering with them. Are there actually any worth bothering with or are you just talking about POIs in general?
Todd made his dream game that he wants to play and it filters people and that's okay. Not everyone has to like every game and Starfield is just a game that panders to boomers who enjoy space games they've played as a kid in the 1980s.
this game isnt pandering to anyone born before 2000
I'm 40 year old and Starfield is my dream space game. I struggle to think of any scifi game that does anything it does well and implements all the systems I want in one game well.
Sounds like you haven't actually played many space games.
Stay mad shitskins. Only white people like starfield and your seething makes it better.
pardon?
There are literally 3 starfield fans on this entire board and every single one of them is an ESL jeet or fabio who is also brown
then you are a moron i'm sorry. Space games better than Starfield existed in the 1990s.
>and implements all the systems I want in one game well.
such as?
I did about 9 of them and they were all fricking empty besides some mid-tier loot that I didn't even bother taking because its value wasnt worth giving up the weight, and some materials you could buy for dirt cheap from any planet with a vendor on it
Quiet zoom zoom
you're unable to actually articulate what you like about the game
does that not bother you at all? does any part of you think "uh oh i should be able to do this"?
You might want to return that psychology degree lmao
you might want to grow a fricking brain you flabby goyslop gulping gaylord
No starfield is a bland husk that panderes to the LCDtards that are still brand-loyal to bethesda. This isn't a space game. It's rng skyrim.
ugly npcs
ugly locations
ugly quests
ugly dialogue
ugly writing
ugly art
ugly music
The best parts of Starfield (which are still average) are done better by Cyberpunk of all things. Better shooting, more diverse playstyles, better NPC interactions, vehicles, exploration, etc.
Is new game plus (don't repeat main quest) really just collect the artifacts again from random planets' generic facilities?
yes, 10 times. you get a new space suit each time. you lose everything else i.e. items money apartments ships weapons questlines relationshiops etc
What went wrong? Baldurs gate 3 came out first, raped it, and now Todd’s pregnant. Congratulations! It’s a better game!
Yeah, the ending and NG+ implementation left a bad taste in my mouth, but it provided meta commentary on my choice of playstyle, which I appreciate
>cant strip bodies naked
>no dismemberment
why'd they remove the fun
esg money
It gets rid of the strengths of Bethesda and keeps all the weaknesses. It’s not even an rpg, but hey shooting is adequate now
they drank the "mods will fix it" kool-aid a little too much this time
starfield is a framework begging for modders to create interesting content for
the problem being there isn't enough official meat on that bone to keep people interested long enough for that to happen
I suspect Bethesda is aware of that now and is scrambling to get an expansion out sooner rather than later
another nail in the coffin for Bethesda imo
this was supposed to be the microsoft flagship title. I dont understand how it failed this bad. It should be the game everyone buys this year but it isnt.
no one is defending this game but troons
Troons hate starfield because bethesda fired a troon lmao, that's why that troony sterling gave it a low score to tank it.
the shartfarted gen is full of troons sperging out if you criticise it though
Funny how only trannies and indians hate starfield. That means the game is actually good then.
>trying to use reverse psychology
nice try troony
Dont you have a wound to dilate troony? Remember to have a nice day when the thread is done, you will never be a real woman.
your game sucks troony Black person
hyenas cancelled
shartfield a flop
soiberpunk failed
you people are losers
After watching people play it for a few hours, I’d say the terrible dialogue and awful speaking animations tanked it. How is it so bad in starfield but so amazing in bg3? Beth just sucks these days.
why did people suddenly think Bethesda made top class video games? Why did Xbox put this as their console leading game?
did you/they even play skyrim?
>game supposedly sucks
>every thread is full of homosexuals shedding actual tears that some people aren't calling it the next TORtanic
What do you call this phenomenon?
Discord trannies getting BTFO that's what. The only people who seethe so hard at people finding it "okay" and "fun" must be taking hormones because they all sound like histrionic women.
I dont think game is big/ambitious enough to be contender for a tortanic title
>What do you call this phenomenon?
TORtanic panic
People are just too upset with wanting to be mad over shit. It's the video game equivalent to rage bait. I played through Starfield. There isn't really anything offensively bad about it. The primary feeling I got was that I was playing a game from 15 years ago. Bethesda really hasn't done anything innovative since Skyrim despite the rest of the gaming community continuing to advance in various ways.
So the most offensive part about it is that it feels extremely dated. I didn't really think it was completely unplayable trash or anything. It more so just felt like I was playing some emulated 360 game with a little bit prettier graphics.
Pic related
Trying too hard to fit in, shitskin.
Its not the kind of game worth watching. Its like watching someone read an amazing peter jackson book. Its amazing, but you have to read it and play it yourself. What, are you supposed to watch someones entire 100 hour play through? Who does that.
It was originally advertised as a Star Citizen competitor (a space sim) that would also defeat Elite Dangerous and NMS.
We wanted Star Citizen with the strenght of an actual dev studio behind it.
What we got was a Fallout 4 DLC with a spaceship turrent section.
It's really saying something that my main anticipation for Starfield has to do with what modding community will do to make it better.
Your typical bethesda rpg, but with even worse AI and mediocre exploration.
people defending this game are quite literally...subhuman
The game is an actual RPG that requires at very least double digit IQ to play.
homosexual shill
Procedural generation sucks dick in RPGs, most of the game is procedurally generated.
Also loading screens simulator, fast travel simulator, no real overworld map.
It filtered the normies who would normally drive all the hype
Not a single person is going to remember Starfield exists in 2024.
Sad.
It will be considered a forgotten classic. NostalgiaBlack folk will go crazy about this game in 20 years.
Meds
Man you BG schizos are something else
>It will be considered a forgotten classic. NostalgiaBlack folk will go crazy about this game in 20 years.
No, they won't because they won't ever have a reason to go back to it. It does nothing better than previous bethesda games. I can see people going nostalgia crazy for FO3 and skyrim, and a much smaller group for FO4, but starfield does nothing better than those games.
>It seems to have had no impact whatsoever.
What didn't have any impact? Troons shitposting on Ganker?
Xbox brand, Phil Spencer, Todd Howard. What could go wrong?
XC and BG would cost me over $120.
Starfield was free and I'd rather play that instead.
> I only play Starfield because it's free

>sales
Don't need to buy GamePass games son. Thats the whole point of GamePass. This month I have Starfield, Sea Of Stars, Loes Of P and Forza Motorsport. Hope you don't spend money on games lmao.
This Anon owns nothing and he is happy
Imagine thinking 'owning video games' is a good thing.
lmao this is why I have a hot 8/10 gf to frick everynight and you don't. I'll give my qtpi a 3-hole dicking later and put her to bed wet, and then go downstairs and play Starfield with a chilled Radebeger. Make sure and cry about video games on Ganker.
I'm glad I can play my games anything I want without ShitPass membership. Like playing Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim without paying the loan shark a GamePass fee lmfao at you.
>but what about le heckin' shareholdorinos!!
Why are snoys like this?
Now divide that number by 8 since instead of being a $60+tax game it's $14 on goypass
And don't forget to add the 350,000 peak playerbase of $70 dollars + tax on steam
Your bot is broken, this image has already been posted.
Sonytrannies malding
We all realized outer space exploration is the most boring and lamest concept for anything.
Snoy trannies seething at the success of Kinofield... when does it end? pic related.
It just doesn't make any sense to me.
Hadrian isn't genetically engineered to frick, she's engineered to be a based war criminal's successor
Hadrian's a clone of a general that they didnt want to lose and nothing more.
This game is good, with some serious problems.
There is no way to discuss this seriously on this site, because it is full of stupid people
I hate shills. Ironic, unironic, it just kills any meaningful discussion.
Truth is, Starfield threads sucks.
You never played the game, you never finished the game, and you definitely never saw the credits.
I played the game, beat the game, and saw the credits. they're literally on the main menu btw under the [crew] option, you mongoloid
he's 100% right
starbound in 3d, except everything looks boring and "realistic" and there aren't any sapient alien species to talk to and waifu
>get curious
>check the companies that worked on cyberpunk 2077
>56(!) different companies worldwide worked on it
>a bunch of them also worked on starfield
Why'd no one comment on this when Cyberpunk came out and sucked?
Because Red didn't get bought out by Pajeetsoft
They're poles, who are already worse than pajeets
Sounds like another good reason
because cyberpunk was good on release if you weren't a console cuck so no one who played it on PC actually felt like the game was bad enough to point it out. the consolecucks literally couldn't play the game to completion to see the credits.
I played it on PC and felt it was bad enough to point it out. I pirated it and was still disappointed.
then why didn't you point it out?
Coz I fricking did you mongoloid
>cyberpunk was good on release
>Feel bad for this woman who tried to doublecross you and now she's in a coma because the Black person gang got double crossed by her and fried her brain!
>said he, while shitting of Starfield after playing for 10 minutes
>said he
SIR PLEASE
> It was good if you ignore the parts that were absolute trash.
Well you aren't wrong.
>play through starfield
>gf enjoys it
>start playing cyberpunk
>gf starts getting algorithm-ed a bunch of negative starfield stuff
>all of a sudden just starts shitting on starfield and how much better cyberpunk is
Is this how all this stuff regularly impacts normies? I don't understand how you can form your own opinion of a game and immediately shift just because you see a bunch of viral videos saying "hurr durr game bad".
Unironically, yes. People are sheep. Notice that Cyberpunk was hated until le popular anime came out too
I refunded Cyberpunk too originally because it was a bit buggy and she was shitting on that too then during the initial release.
>PC version runs like shit for most pcgays (who are poor)
>PS5 version doesn't exist
>Switch version doesn't exist
>Last gen console versions don't exist
Even ignoring everything else Starfield is a game that can only be played by people who have the least popular console or an actually good PC. People who have good PC's generally have played a lot of games so they thought Starfield sucks, which basically means it's a game for Xbox owners. You may as well ask why Wii U or PS Vita games didn't have any staying power
I have a good pc (60fps easy on ultra in starfield, full graphics on cyberpunk, rdr2, etc) and it's GOTY.
Disco elysium is the best RPG I played since Fallout 2. Starfield is the third best RPG I played since Fallout 2. Second best is New Vegas
are those literally the only 3 rpgs youve played since then?
lmao pc gaming is just console ports these days bg3 is hardly a revelation
It's not horrible but the thing that really spoiler the game for me was a lack of interesting or memorable characters
They put no effort into making this game. The most autopilot mode game.
The coolest part about Starfield is that they use screenshots for loading screens.
The worst part about Starfield is the fact there are so many loading screens that this ends up being a necessary feature to improve enjoyment of the game.
I will now buy your game
Seriously what a missed opportunity
> Boring, non-existent lore
> No aliens or interesting culture
> 0/10 awful “plot”
> Game has horrible level design
> No endgame aside from the No Mans Sky non ending gimmick.
> no weapon variety lack of interesting weapons in a looter shooter
> procedurally generated slop
> game is as barebones as it gets
> Obvious bating for creator club content and never ending DLC releases; GOTY edition, Ultimate edition, super special mega edition, VR edition, Game Cube edition, etc.
But hey, you can make a wiener and ball space ship so 10/10 I guess
starfield has the single most interesting group of weapons ever added to a sci-fi game with the mag weapons
>nooo railgun-metal storm weapons are bad... b-because i say so!!!
good taste fellow mag GOD
careful saying anything positive about starfield goes against the narrative
True the weapon and ammo attachments put it in the top tier of weapon variety. Shooting a fully auto machine gun with explosive bullets is fricking awesome. And the shotgun with Tesla pylons. Too bad you need to level up a fricking research skill 4 times to get that
God I love the mag weapon series, the fact that they all shoot in a square makes them so interesting.
Why are anons who dislike Bethesda games obsessed with talking about penises?
>spacesuit says it is valued over 5k
>get like 200 credits for it
i know it's perk-related but like how many points do i have to dump to close this moronic huge gap
i really hate perk systems that are like >wait until you level to get +10%, wait until you level to get +15%, etc
it's completely thoughtless
thats just how bethesda games work. you'll never close the value gap even at max stats.
Just keep playing the game, you'll reach a point where you'll get so much credits you dont know what to do with them since the only credit sink is just building the ships.
It's called role playing, kiddo
>there are people itt who think vidrel from a game with 2000+ people working on it is acceptable
How long until a mod that lets you be a fantastic creature? Like Anthro.
It'll be a while, but they exist for Fallout 4 so maybe porting them is easy enough. At least one fat ass and titty creator is going to make mods for it as well (creator of picrel)
Cool. I was thinking more about a flattie unicorn girl but guess I can do that too when I get bored.
I really don't get people who enjoy playing this, is it their first Bethesda game or something?
The loading screens, the empty world, the shit story, the dogshit graphics and horrible performance.
It's literally the same soulless shit over and over again.
I don't get people who are obsessed with people who like it lol its like don't you have any other games to play?
I do, that's why I'm wondering why people bother playing this.
Cry more
You're the one crying at people disagreeing with your bad opinions, homosexual. Everyone else in on the same page about shartflop being the KWABOTY.
I'm just posting pictures and making you cry
cry laughing, lmao
what is this shit? KH2 gummy ship graphics?
Stay mad
looks like fricking shit lmao
"real time global illumination" LMFAO
Game looks good
LOADING SCREEN
>i7-7700k
>16GB RAM
>GeForce GTX 1070
Will I make it?
frick no
I really hope that now I finished college and got a job will be able to afford better parts. Haven't upgraded my PC since 2017. Still feels like it was a few days ago.
5 fps on low
What about Baldur's Gate 3? Or should I cope playing 1 and 2?
Kinda wish there was a good space-themed top-down CRPG.
You'll be fine in BG3 until act 3.
can todd get away if he resold it with the mods used by the modders to fix the game. i can already imagine they will do this
they did for skyrim
It's just that Todd no longer makes games. Most if not all creative minds of late 90s and 2000s have no creativity left in them and have essentially retired. Todd is not an exception.
For me, it's Starfield.
what PS2 game is your pic from?
It's a fine game, even a great one. The problem is over saturation. There are so many "epic" first person rpgs now a days that it just doesn't stand out.
It's a shame that Bethesda's amazing ideas have passed them by.
The same will happen to from.
got a question when first saw this there is a chef origin or something can you even cook and be a space chef instead of persuasion checks we bribe npc with food or something.
I have not played this game by the way just curious.
The cooking is just another skill tree thing. It's the exact same system as crafting/weapon mods/suit mods except it uses food instead of materials. There is no bribing or roleplay use of the skill.
thats quite a disappointment considering the description of the chef
yeah I felt the same way picking sculptor only to realize it's brought up twice as flavor text from NPCs and doesn't give any dialogue options or special abilities or story aspects. i figured since there's an art dealer in the main city maybe there'd be an interaction or quest to work with him on a sculpture or something. nope, just gets brought up in the intro and aboard the UC ship before the crimson fleet mission. and both times its just basically the npc saying "you used to be a sculptor huh? how'd you end up here? anyway-" before just continuing on with the regular dialogue.
most of the background things in the character creation function that way. almost none of them give you dialogue options except neon street rat which does have a couple, but nothing that alters the game beyond flavor text.
The 'art dealer' is actually a drug dealer. There is a good amount of dialogue for some backgrounds, but it's not distributed very well. Sculptor gets like... 2. While Industrialist, the one I picked, gets about 50
If you have it as a background origin there are probably a few scattered dialog choices for it.
I only like slop where I have to buy DLC to add features they promised before release, like Cyberpunk 2077.
>have to buy DLC to add features they promised before release, like Cyberpunk 2077.
what features did they leave out of release and paywall behind DLC? be specific
>i like this shit more because the turd is whole and not cut in pieces
I just said it was bad, can't you read? I only like games with microtransactions.
They did specifically make outposts useless because there is no logistical automation. Despite this system already existing for FO4 as DLC. They're going to sell it as DLC again. Mark my words.
Can I be Adam Sandler in Starfield?
