Ships are a hack on the scenario system in the engine: it´s like having two houses filled with furniture and stuff with cannons, flying around and shooting each other. Buggy as hell, and most people didn´t saw the NG+ because they UNINSTALLED the damn game after finishing it (like me). Pic related, i was locked out of the UC main quest because of a bug.
>ship building
lmao >NG+
You have to already be braindead to play this game for more than 4 hours and not slip into a vegetative state out of pure boredom, let alone reach ng+.
Show me a game with different planets with accurate gravity and atmospheres released in 2023.

I loved Kerbal Space Program but finally got tired of it last year. Just not enough things to do even with the mods. I appreciate all my time in game but we need something new, more, better. We need real innovation and I dont think the game industry is going to do that for us anytime soon.

You can run across Mercury nude. Even if it were accurate, that's not an innovation, environmental hazards have been a thing in games since forever.
You have zero proof there was even one "gamer" who voted.
ANYONE, even a stupid c**t like yourself, can sign up for a free Steam account and vote without spending any money. You have no clue how honest or dishonest the voting was this year. But do go on about trannies and homosexuals. I totally believe you are an expert.
You need to pay $5 to have a verified steam account to vote.
The idea that someone would pay 5 million USD just to have alt accounts to vote for a inconsequential win in a store awards show is insane and schizo. Also since 40 million voted, you need at least 5 million accounts to change the votes meaningfully.
>tells community to frick off in 2021 >recycles game passes and adds zero new content >only stuff they do now is offer discount beans >somehow a labor of love despite being on life support for over two years
People didnt read the description of labor of love and just voted for RDR2 because it's the most soulful singleplayer game on the list. Steam could have just named the category as most supported GAAS game and people would have voted differently.
>the finalists >never heard of it >x4 >and remnant (2) >for innovation so obviously remnant, 2, doesn't win >"space game" with no ladders wins

Oh look, its this fricking thread again. You guys need to get sex dolls. You have too much free time.
(I wont suggest you get girlfriends cuz looking at your bedrooms I do not think thats a possibility).
Interesting question.
From the five options, i had only played Starfield - and i hated the fact that the game is just a rehashed, modded skyrim ridden with bugs. It had his moments, but no way i´d awarded it anything - but it was the ONLY ONE I PLAYED FROM THE CHOICES: i didn´t played Remnant 2 (neither plan to do it, or the first one as it is souls-like coop crap), Shadows of Doubt is early access voxel detective that i´ve never heard about before and contraband police is just a casual 3D paper´s please clone (and for that i played IMPERIAL GATE GUARD, which is the porn parody and much better). Absolutely NO IDEA what´s 'Your only move is hustle' is about.
It's funny how Ganker is the only place only not in on the joke.
People voted for Starfield ironically. There was a giant meme about it on every other platform.
I guess people here were too busy jerking off to blatant coomer threads (you'd also have known this if you bad friends!).
>coordinated
Not really.
People saw the option and thought it would be funny to vote for it.
It's like voting for Hitler for the most important person of the year.
You know, back when the internet was about fun and mentally ill people like you were still ostracized like you're supposed to?
Yeah over 40 million people coordinated to do this. Do you know how insane you sound?
... reviewing my screenshot gallery, the only thing i hated was the NG+ Alien ship they left you with, no money or items. Utter crap compared to my old ship.
Allegedly some game companies have paid for research into addiction and used that data to make their games more popular. But it mostly applies to stuff with in game purchases like tons of small DLC and microtransactions for dumb shit like skins. Or MMO techniques to make people keep playing. Grinding for gear as an example;
No you won't. You'll post about it constantly for months on end, thinking about it for longer than anyone who even played it.
Innovative how? Because it had abbos?
If I had to guess it's either the ship building or the way NG+ is integrated into the story

There isnt a game in 2023 that innovated harder than Starfield, if you actually played the game you'd know.
frick off moron

40 million gamers voted in the steam awards for Starfield. Seething homosexuals and trannies are not the majority of gamers.

you mean the same platform where the game is reviewed overwhelmingly negative? ok I believe you.
No it’s a advertising campaign, steam awards is just an ad now.

Oh did you, what did you do to stop people from having opinions different to yours? What was your contribution
i dont care anymore, frick humanity you're insufferable c**ts and I hope you all die for doing this.
I mean journalists are more corrupt than ever. That's why Starfield got low review scores because they were paid for it.
Oh look, its this fricking thread again. You guys need to get sex dolls. You have too much free time.

what game do you think should have won?

people just quickly click the first thing they see for the badge
its certainly most innovative, I never seen a game make npcs shops be a chest underground you could loot

or the simple answer is that Starfield is just a good game.

... reviewing my screenshot gallery, the only thing i hated was the NG+ Alien ship they left you with, no money or items. Utter crap compared to my old ship.
>Innovative
>copy paste: the game
HUH????
feel like most of these were just what game showed up first and people chose them to get the badge and be done with it
What's innovative about the Skyrim formula?
How it can bait people to buy it time and time again, not even casinos are this good at scamming people of their money
