I am. They basically have no games, and even if something is made by Xbox themselves, they put it on Goypass, meaning there's hardly any ROI. And they had to use Goypass to try and get people to buy into Xbox, and they figured subscription models are the future and wanted to get ahead in that trend.
Their miscalculation was that people aren't ready for subscription model services to play any game they want.

Digital console libraries became a thing during the ps3/360 generation even though it was primarily disc focused in the early years, and my comments about prestige exclusives saving Nintendo (and Sony too) still stand.

Yeah I would easily recommend Hi-fi rush. It's a really good game with great characters. My only issues lies with the ending. It's great until they tease the two girls might be dykes but I just hope they handwave that crap away if they make another.

They already control PC (Windows) and could unwittingly convert everyone to xbox by making it a service rather than a device. Your PC is an xbox, your switch will have an xbox app, your phone will have an xbox app, and eventually the playstation will have an xbox app. Sony is playing an old school game, they desperately need to change their strategy to counter xbox before it gets too late.

Consoles will basically just become prebuilts. Imagine going to the store and seeing the Asus ROGBOX and MSi Gamer XTreme Station, each with an "Xbox Stage 1 Approved" badge on them which describes their relative performance to the layman. Then they each run Windows with some xbox overlay active by default with additional PC features underneath for flexibility.
Many of us just like the convenience, no desire for Discord no problem built in voice chat/parties, things just work. I built 3 gaming pc’s when I was younger when I didn’t mind sitting at a desk, using k&m or looking at a small monitor. It’s far less plug and play getting a pc working on your 55” TV and getting a controller working properly in every game. I can only speak for myself but I’ll never go back to pc, the biggest perk are mods and if I need mods to find enjoyment in a game I’ve likely moved on to the next.
Most xbox exclusive games suck, starfield sucks, the new forza motorsport sucks, halo infinite is bad, I don't know what the frick they are doing with all that money beside killing historically good studios.

Costs for games are rising and even though the PS5 is breaking records outselling the PS4, there's not enough people buying the games to make up the costs. Even Nintendo isnt 100% sure that the switch 2 is going to outsell the switch since the console market is so volatile that they could release a Wii U or gamecube level of sales console randomly.

Like the ps4 and ps5 versions of a game are completely separate downloads/installs where Xbox with its cross compatibility can pick/choose things to turn on or off or do they also have separate versions and the system just picks the best for you.
There has been 4k60 fps patches for games like Horizon, God of War or Days Gone, still technically running ps4 code but with settings that would make a ps4 shit itself.

One type of game that’s eluded us for so long that could be fun is MS Flight Sim. Crazy to think there’s been no attempts to compete on PlayStation beyond some trashy indie titles and no Ace Combat does not count.
Microsoft’s strategy even outside of Xbox has been acquiring other things, it certainly lines up. When you’re bigger than apple, you can easily pivot to owning lots of smaller studios and getting in on the money

Switch selling only 132 million and isnt easily overtaking the PS2's total sales also shows how limited the console market is currently. If the console market was growing, the switch should be selling over 200 million or so and it would make sense to keep making consoles and competing.
However right now the switch and PS5 will fail to outsell the PS2 and DS and the console market will continue to stay the same size for the next generations.

The whole reason for Sony doing this was them hedging their bets on PlayStation becoming a software only business. Now Xbox have given up and taken that fate for themselves Sony effectively won by default and don't have to worry about that any more. Now they're getting Xbox games as well they're in legitimate competition with Steam and keeping Sony exclusives on playstation hardware gives people an incentive to buy into the sony ecosystem instead of PC and Steam

The free money will be a drop in the bucket compared to the money they'll make taking Xbox's customers and locking them into their platform at their own hiked up digital prices with no steam cut. Everyone who invested in Xbox this past couple gens will be making a choice between PS6 and PC in a couple years. If Sony can offer the same as Steam in terms of Xbox library but also their own exclusive library at a lower entry price than PC then they're going to do it.

I am. They basically have no games, and even if something is made by Xbox themselves, they put it on Goypass, meaning there's hardly any ROI. And they had to use Goypass to try and get people to buy into Xbox, and they figured subscription models are the future and wanted to get ahead in that trend.
Their miscalculation was that people aren't ready for subscription model services to play any game they want.

Consoles will basically just become prebuilts. Imagine going to the store and seeing the Asus ROGBOX and MSi Gamer XTreme Station, each with an "Xbox Stage 1 Approved" badge on them which describes their relative performance to the layman. Then they each run Windows with some xbox overlay active by default with additional PC features underneath for flexibility.
Many of us just like the convenience, no desire for Discord no problem built in voice chat/parties, things just work. I built 3 gaming pc’s when I was younger when I didn’t mind sitting at a desk, using k&m or looking at a small monitor. It’s far less plug and play getting a pc working on your 55” TV and getting a controller working properly in every game. I can only speak for myself but I’ll never go back to pc, the biggest perk are mods and if I need mods to find enjoyment in a game I’ve likely moved on to the next.

Costs for games are rising and even though the PS5 is breaking records outselling the PS4, there's not enough people buying the games to make up the costs. Even Nintendo isnt 100% sure that the switch 2 is going to outsell the switch since the console market is so volatile that they could release a Wii U or gamecube level of sales console randomly.
What about gamepass? They'll lose millions of subscribers if they ditch consoles entirely, they will mostly flock to PS+, not the PC.

Switch selling only 132 million and isnt easily overtaking the PS2's total sales also shows how limited the console market is currently. If the console market was growing, the switch should be selling over 200 million or so and it would make sense to keep making consoles and competing.
However right now the switch and PS5 will fail to outsell the PS2 and DS and the console market will continue to stay the same size for the next generations.

Game costs are going up and will continue to go up thanks to inflation. There's no more good reason why you should consider making games exclusive to hardware since there's no difference between console hardware anymore. Even Nintendo switch is a cut down ARM pc and so is the switch 2.

The whole reason for Sony doing this was them hedging their bets on PlayStation becoming a software only business. Now Xbox have given up and taken that fate for themselves Sony effectively won by default and don't have to worry about that any more. Now they're getting Xbox games as well they're in legitimate competition with Steam and keeping Sony exclusives on playstation hardware gives people an incentive to buy into the sony ecosystem instead of PC and Steam
Think about it logistically. Why stop with the pc ports when you're planning a handheld launch. You can use the pc version as a base and to keep compatibility. It's stupid to think a company like sony would want to miss out on free money. It's why helldivers and until dawn are coming out day 1 on pc. It doesn't matter. This whole console war crap is stupid.
The free money will be a drop in the bucket compared to the money they'll make taking Xbox's customers and locking them into their platform at their own hiked up digital prices with no steam cut. Everyone who invested in Xbox this past couple gens will be making a choice between PS6 and PC in a couple years. If Sony can offer the same as Steam in terms of Xbox library but also their own exclusive library at a lower entry price than PC then they're going to do it.

Digital Steam games are infinitely more malleable than console digital. And I don't even have to buy all my games there, I can just download from GOG and dozens of other digital storefronts on PC, where as console digital is literally locked down to one digital source per console
