>pay $30 dollars to play a game early >a game made by Bethesda, notorious for releasing games infested with bugs
Why pay testers when you can get them to pay you to do the work
Tonight for people who paid $30 to play 5 days early
You tards and your "early" shit. No the game just released, everyone else just gets it 5 days late, this is the actual exclusive gamepass release. Nothing will be fixed in 5 days. You guys sound like the cyberpunk morons who screeched about the day 1 patch just for everything to still be shit day 1.
sounds like an classic old school rpg from the 90s
cope and seethe homosexual
not everything needs to be handcrafted railroaded quest marker following slop
>Todd games are extremely dated on purpose because he's a boomer whose favorite games are all from the 90s
I can actually believe this, the Lex Friedman interview all but confirmed it
This man speaks the truth. These plebeians truly do not understand the ingenius mind that Todd has. A true pioneer and a return to classical RPGs. Dare I say; even revolutionizes the meaning of RPG!
>not everything needs to be handcrafted
hilarious how just yesterday shills were saying this game is better than no man's sky because "it's handcrafted"
No, not like that at all, ER is recycling assets by kitbashing, every game does that. Break assets into bits, then reassemble them into a slightly different assets. Shartfield is cloning entire environments, down to rocks around the building, down to enemies and items.
>look guys we might not have space combat and exploration like no man's sky but at least some of our content isn't procedurally generated >it's a handful of outposts copy pasted across several planets, with even the exact same enemies and loot
How does he just.. how does he lie like that? How can he look us right in the eyes and straight up lie to our faces? Is Todd some kind of psychopath, or is he just so delusional he doesn't even realizes he's doing it?
>blatantly lie >fanboys get hype with false expectations >get tons of preorders, why wouldn't you preorder the biggest game ever? >game comes out being shit >fanboys are so invested that they have to pretend to like it because accepting that "haters" were right hurts them really bad >make millions of dollars out of preorders, day 1 purchases and clueless people who didn't hear anything about the actual game
because he's done it for the last 15-20 years and continuously gotten away with it. why would he stop when you'll continue to slop up anything she shits out?
>morons buy your game while vehemently shouting down any detractors or people questioning the state of said game >Same morons feverishly deny literally any and all reported failings of the game until launch
///Game launches/// >Precisely the same morons now go on all social media to froth at the mouth and defend copypaste everything because "there's no way you could expect the dev team to make something unique and not just reuse it hundreds of times" with the words "Ambitious", "Achievement", and "Scale" used in every single post >Final cope is "MODS WILL MAKE THE GAME A TRULY LEGENDARY AND UNBEATABLE EXPERIENCE" repeated ad infinitum until the announcement of the next game
All Todd has to do is lie and they will do all the work for him, guaranteeing his studio gets to do this all over again.
>there are critics actually rating this game a 10/10
i watched people play through that underground mine shaft and i thought for sure it was tileset based and pretty good for procedural content
i did not expect it to be flat out fully copy-pasted across the whole game
Normalgays love open world and this is the opposite of that because you have to fast travel everywhere. There's a good chance that they actually end up hating the game because in their mind they just bought space GTA not Oblivion in space.
>Oblivion in space
Oblivion had a persistent world that you could traverse from end to end. This is an entirely different beast. Bethesda has never made a game this fragmented before, I'm not sure if there are any AAA parallels.
>I'm not sure if there are any AAA parallels
Anon that's literally what Outer Worlds is. Except they didn't even bother pretending with the space bits, you just teleport between planets
>Oblivion had a persistent world that you could traverse from end to end.
That's true. Typically once games go open world, they don't go back. The only example I can think of is FF15 to FF16 but that "worked" because FF14 behaves the same exact way and the game itself plays like an offline MMO with DMC combat so the crowd that it targeted didn't care.
Plus FF16 went out of its way to let everyone know what it was beforehand. The deception used to make people think that Starfield was an open world is going to sour a lot of people that bought into the hype. Even my dumb ass used Oblivion as an example because all Bethesda really makes are open world games. This is such a major departure it's the equivalent of someone that bought Elden Ring buying Armored Core 6 thinking it was going to be Elden Ring with mechs.
I remember when people made fun of Skyrim and Oblivion for having "copypaste" looking dungeons. Sounds like procgen has stripped even the last tiny bit of soul out of Bethesda games
Oblivion >Abandoned fort full of bandits/zombies/skeletons/goblins >Ayleid ruins full of bandits/zombies/skeletons/goblins >Cave full of bandits/zombies/skeletons/goblins >Oblivion gates
Skyrim >Fort full of draugr/bandits >Cave full of draugr/bandits/falmer >Dwemer ruins full of falmer/constructs
They felt copy/pasted because they looked the same and you fought the same handful of enemies
They apparently had new staff that had no idea what they were doing. Putting distinctive landmarks into recycled, non-story terrain is extremely stupid, yet evidently they had some calarts graduate in a position too high saying ACKSHUALLY ENVIRONMENTAL STORYTELLING IS LE GOOD and only did non-modular map designs.

>Same exact gameplay as Fallout 4 >No open world, just a bunch of small instances >Copy/pasted locations >Story sucks >No playable aliens
Why did this take so fricking long then?
If they had like 4-6 different planets each with their own decently sized open world to explore and lots of unique locations I'd get it. But this rancid shit is babby's first unity "open world" game.
When do Steam reviews drop? Cuz that's when the real shitposting begins.
Tonight for people who paid $30 to play 5 days early
>pay $30 dollars to play a game early
>a game made by Bethesda, notorious for releasing games infested with bugs
Why pay testers when you can get them to pay you to do the work
Now you understand why most games release completely broken and with bug reporting/telemetry built in.
You tards and your "early" shit. No the game just released, everyone else just gets it 5 days late, this is the actual exclusive gamepass release. Nothing will be fixed in 5 days. Todd is going to get so many rube shekels
another e-celeb "reactor" filtered by my game
its the same tiny mines or outposts you encounter, even with the same rocks surrounding them on any planet you go on with the same interior and loot
sounds like an classic old school rpg from the 90s
cope and seethe homosexual

what? which 90s rpg was like that?
The 90s had 1000x the limitations
>uh i like eating shit it reminds me of how my mom used to make me eat shit back in poorgaysylvania
>Todd games are extremely dated on purpose because he's a boomer whose favorite games are all from the 90s
I can actually believe this, the Lex Friedman interview all but confirmed it
Wrong. Even Daggerfall had better procedural generation. It didn't copy entire segments of the map.
Like how Elden Ring recycled catacombs everywhere? And recycled bosses everywhere? And recycled all the scrub enemies in the Haligtree?
No, not like that at all, ER is recycling assets by kitbashing, every game does that. Break assets into bits, then reassemble them into a slightly different assets. Shartfield is cloning entire environments, down to rocks around the building, down to enemies and items.

Wow, like most of the Skyrim dungeons. Never change, Todd.
Luke stop posting your video. You will never redeem yourself.
>press G to fire missiles

lmao didn't this guy trashed F76 badly. Not as bad as ShillUp but still. He also trashed Redfall. Surprising Todd gave this guy a review copy.
How much hope is there that mods will fix the trash AI and combat?
Wow it's just like Starbound in space. I mean with guns. I mean in 3D.
