*Space radio is confirmed, but it's only in one localized area.
*Stolen ships can be modified. But they must be registered first in order to do that.
*Deeper Ship building is meant to be more of a late game system, but basic changes aren't.
*No performance mode.
*Todd says that there will be sidequests that aren't simply "kill ten things, get item, turn in for reward".
*Todd says that he thinks Starfield will be a "modders paradise".
*Outposts is another "deep system" like more advanced ship building. You can start up quick outposts, but the more intricate "and go crazy" parts are later game. You can create resources and trade routes with them. They are an economy generator.
*No fishing
*Only about 10% of planets have life on them
*Idea is for rapid exploration on planets. Planets will have procedurally generated locations on them but not many, "get in, explore, get out."
*Suits are important to dealing with the various biomes, and planets have "traits"
*If you fully scan a planet, that information is worth a lot of money and you can sell that.
*Hostile alien creatures and docile alien creatures. They can attack one another.
*No vehicles. Just boostpack.
*You can play the game without having companions following you around, and the standard "follower did not like that" mechanism is in
*Only four romance options, the four main Constellation ones
*Technically enough robot companions to crew your ship with just robots
Game will suck

Gay sex confirmed
>No vehicles. Just boostpack.
LMAO. A switch game can make vehicles better than Bethesda. This shit is DOA.
>LMAO. A switch game
>a switch game running on 2010 tech and tops out at 900p because it'll overheat with anything stronger
nintentoddlers everyone, these are the same people that gave nintendo money for cardboard cutouts
>spaceships aren't vehicles
5IQ tendie
>having even the slightest bit of positive expectation for a BETHESDA-developed game after decades of making absolute shitpiles
>Todd says that there will be sidequests that aren't simply "kill ten things, get item, turn in for reward".
wow revolutionary thanks for having to clarify that kek
You say that like Starfield threads aren't full of morons saying that the quests will be all like that
i was actually mocking the need to even go out and say that loud just to assure people there will be SOME worthwhile quests
>*Only four romance options, the four main Constellation ones
I really wanted a pirate boyfriend ;(
more info
- Some planets have one biome, some have a LOT of biomes per planet.
- Creatures can fight each other, you will see it - one of the development problems has been aggressive high level creatures killing off all other creatures on a planet.
- There is a trait and skills for playing solo, so you can play without companions.
- You can assign companions to ships you're not using (or dismiss them)
- All the ships in the game are built using the built in ship editor - anything you see, you can build too.
- Pass on answering if there's black holes in the game.
black holes? in a bethesda game? not a good idea with the shit engine
>one of the development problems has been aggressive high level creatures killing off all other creatures on a planet.
Yeah that is another one into collection of obvious, prime Toddy bullshit.
Cope
Kid, if you believe that shit, you might not have the mental capacity to freely control disposable income of any sorts.
Cope
Can I get a source on this supposed interview?
>- Pass on answering if there's black holes in the game.
A hundred star caps says a black hole is going to be used to reach the mysterious alien race, it's a huge scifi cliche after all
>Todd says
Stopped reading there.
*sigh* alright let's unpack this.
>Space Radio
I don't know why anyone would care. Maybe someone specifically asked and they picked this up because they actually had a feature they could flaunt?
>Stolen ships
No comment, I'm expecting this to be basically skyrim horses.
>Ship building
"More of a late game system" = they have (how many player houses were there in skyrim) number of styles you can switch between. "Basic changes" = you can change the weapon loadout and max speed slightly
>No performance mode
Duh, console players will eat anything
>Sidequests
We haven't had "kill ten rats" sidequests seriously in 20 years, empty talk. Quests will still be "go to x do basic mechanic"
>modders paradise
I genuinely hope he is not lying here. They will probably go for paid mods bullshit agian though.
>Outposts
Same as ships. Skyrim houses/Fallout 4 settlements, 95% sure
>no fishing
bah
>planets
No high hopes here, expecting lighter Elite: Dangerous, which is not a compliment
>Exploration
See above. Not interesting when the galaxy is not actually as huge as Elite, and it is not really interesting there either.
>Suits
Empty limitations, you'll have tools for everything ten hours in.
>Scan
See: elite: dangerous
>Alien creatures
Duh. Alien wolves and alien deer.
>No vehicles
Bah, bet you will have enough tools 10 hours in to make all movement tedious and uninteresting.
>companions
Expecting basic beth crap, so not much
>Romance
Beth romance. Bah.
>Robots
Bah.
Summary: It is a Bethesda game, I don't think they learn. Whether I will buy is going to depend on mod support, so not gonna buy at launch.
>let's unpack this.
back to plebbit with you
I know reading is hard anon, just keep at it. You can start with memes, it's okay.
Damn this interview was a disaster.
Whole thing is them asking questions from excited fans and Todd saying “no, we don’t have that”.

>Only four romance options, the four main Constellation ones
wtf that's it? Apparently the fourth one is secret because they explicitly only show these three in the menus and other parts of the direct.
The only remaining Constellation members are Matteo, Noel, Vasco, Vlad, and Walter. Noel is the only female left for 50/50 female/male ratio. But she's never shown on the ship, and described as Sarah's protégé. She doesn't seem very important.
>The last one is Vasco the robot and there's only one romanceable female in the game.
>Apparently the fourth one is secret
Non binary mildly feminine robot. I'll bet $20 on it.
the way he answered the robot question leads me to believe there will be another huge plot point like the secret androids in fallout4
>crew your ship with just robots
based, frick fleshbags
*Plastic guns are your only weapons
*No hammers
*Can't loot armor
*Shitty looking spacesuits
*Empty shitplanets
*Bad food
*Goyslop

25 years in the making btw
Why haven't you killed yourself yet
We got him guys. Its a loser who fell for scam citizen lmao
Scam Citizen is even worse than Toddfield.
Seem like what i expected, some surprises are
>Only four romance options, the four main Constellation ones
>If you fully scan a planet, that information is worth a lot of money and you can sell that
>bump a table at 144fps
>planets go out of orbit
fallout: no mans sky
(its gonna suck and have a terrible launch with many missing promised features)
