It was literally just Skyrim but buggier. The only different stuff was the stuff people liked (for example ship customization)

      Bethesda games in a nutshell.

Literally Skyrim with guns, complete with dragon shouts. I mean star shouts.
Can't wait for Fallout 5, featuring the Radborn Wanderer.

There still stuck in the mindset of releasing buggy half finished games and the community will eat it up and patch it for them. This isnt the 2000's anymore Todd, there are other open world games to play now your not the only one.

We unironically would have eaten it up and patched it for them.
They didn't release the mod tools.

TESVI will be a fricking disaster

He knows exactly what's wrong with Starfield, everyone does. He just can't admit it while they're still planning on selling DLC. Wait until Skyrim 2 nears its launch, he'll talk nonstop about how much better it is than Starfield.

That's great. They left with the impression that Starfield was too hardcore of an RPG and now they'll streamline the frick out of TES VI.

Loading screen simulator was maybe a mistake but they knew that and fricked themselves by having multiple weekly group meetings and coddling their developers instead of forcing them to develop.

The reason is because gayliacci didn't want to bother making a game design document and creatively bankrupt for decades. Everyone knows about this, and this has been a hot topic with bethesda games for years, but of course todd couldn't see this because the guy seems to be holding the entire company by its balls.
If bethesda was a japanese company, people like gayliacci would be fired after oblivion release and he will be commiting suicide out of shame several weeks later, found dead. Sad thing is, bethesda is not a japanese company, and gayliacci didn't kys himself, but instead he's 'talking back' and defending himself to the consumer with his xhitter thread.

He's completely right. The average Gankertard cannot comprehend that Starfield is not the same as Elder Scrolls or Fallout because Starfield doesn't have any of the things that people love BGS games for. Like proper fricking exploration. Todd thought landing on random planets would be enough to wow people but his vision is so far removed to what people consider exciting that it took people collectively shitting on it for him to realize that "people just prefer the way it's done in Fallout or Elder Scrolls". Now that he knows that hopefully he starts acting on this too.

The reason why it was disliked is because for once Todd couldn't ride off the coattails of older IP's created by people with talent, for once they had to actually create something from scratch with their own ideas, and it was shit

Sure, our god Todd has never had a bad idea in his life, its the uncultured gamer cucks that need to get up with our based and GOTY game.
He tried to make a 3D Starcon 2 clone but his entire writing staff consists of three homeless people huffing paint in the toilets of bathesda studios. So when people called him out on the 99% empty and soulles game it's our fault.

This. And they’re very good at it too, which goes to show how far they’ve fallen. Tbh, ES6 is probably fricked because the bureaucracy and large ass crew Bethesda has is gonna frick up the one core principle of their games. They need to cut back down to like 100 or even 50 people if they want an actually good and cohesive game, but that isn’t gonna happen and the corporate bullshit is gonna continue to slow it down too. I do believe Todd actually probably wished Skyrim was the conclusion to the Elder Scrolls because, in the game, it’s portrayed as the end of a prophecy, the final showdown, so idk what his vision for the next game could be, but whatever it is, it has to go through the ringer regarding shareholders and Microsoft.

yet it took eight fricking years

No wonder Todd said he’s retiring after ES6, by the time it releases, he’ll be at least 60. When he does, Bethesda is fricked.

it was just typical Bethesda game with more bugs instead of hand curated buildings etc it was just generic procedurally generated slop.
