>more people playing the mod game than playing the game without mod tools from the mod game company
I'm so fricking smart, my brains at least this big and i make so many smart statements.
Starfield was supposed to be a 20 000 hour game that is so great it will give you a religious epiphany.
Somehow after a mere 2 hours most people just quit though?
Man that's more of a condemnation of starfield's developers than anything else written or said at this point.
Imagine taking a huge giant shit on your fanbase and turning around and smiling to yourself, "that's a work of art, I did so good, everyone loves me now" as everyone around you tells you it's a stinker and holds their noses turning away in disgust
>it's good there are issues >it's ok everyone is black >it's ok that the quest design sucks >it's ok the game takes 5 loading screens to go into empty planet >it's supposed to flop, it's ok the game has mixed reviews
12 million players, 89% completed the first quest - that leaves 1.3 million people who couldn’t even get through the intro quest before stopping and refunding.
>yet Ganker sucks them off constantly
The frick are you talking about Ranjid? Ganker was shitting on BG3 long before its release. BG3 was used as a comparison precisely because it is an unfinished asset flip with terrible gameplay, graphics and story, yet is STILL better and more popular than Todd's magnum opus.
More proof that marketing and name recognition are infinitely more important than quality. I really wonder how many more decades of this we’ll have to go through, terrible workers doing an objectively terrible job and coasting to success on the triumphs of their forbears, before it finally collapses. It’s a problem in every industry in every country across the world and all anyone does is blame boomers
This.
Elden Ring got the same player count with a $60 pricetag being the only way to play it. I bet Passhomosexuals make up the MAJORITY of players for Starfield.
It was probably a financial success, how much of one remains to be seen.
But the reception was lukewarm at best. It shows the growing trend of people growing wise to Bethesda's incompetence and will continue to erode trust in their games.
Slopflop sisters what went so wrong?
good morning sir
Starfield may be one of the best pleb filters ever.
>More people playing Skyrim on Steam then Starfield atm
It's literally over.
>more people playing the mod game than playing the game without mod tools from the mod game company

In Febuary 2012, right before the Creation Kit was released and 3 months after release, Skyrim was sitting at over 50.000 players.
Starfield right now, also after 3 months, has a 24 hour peak of 18k.

Doesn't matter how many sales it gets, people will always remember it as a boring piece of shit with zero soul.
>players
what about sales ?
Quick reality check
>it's good there are issues
>it's ok everyone is black
>it's ok that the quest design sucks
>it's ok the game takes 5 loading screens to go into empty planet
>it's supposed to flop, it's ok the game has mixed reviews
not even shazam bros were prepared for such cope
its ok because it's kino
there, now I don't have to explain shit and I win the argument
What's the sale figures, Todd?
Do they still count the people who refunded it before the 2 hour mark?
>boot up game
>it's shit
>uninstall + refund
>this counts as a player
Implying these starfield articles aren’t pathetic as hell
And how many players completed the game's first quest? Hmmmmmmm
>And how many players completed the game's first quest? Hmmmmmmm
Moron.

Only 11% of people having the game in their backlog is better than plenty of other games.
>muh 6 gorillion players
strange how the never mention sales
Larian never released sales either yet Ganker sucks them off constantly.
>B...BUT LARIAN
dumb broken record. so desperate to deflect
>yet Ganker sucks them off constantly

no doubt they count every single gamepass download
This.

These are the same people that were patting themselves on the back for releasing Fallout 76
They're completely up their own asses
>"BG3 is totally getting botted by tencent dude"
>meanwhile Saarfield:
Most of thos millions played it on gamepass for a few minutes and then abandoned it (me including). Hilarious cope
They don't mention sales because most of them play on GAMEPASS
Nobody loved that game.
I played it for 100 hours and I can comfortably say it was a disappointment.
