cope newhomosexual. before skyrim released there were threads all over this board, and the game was a cultural phenonemon. this game is dead in comparison and you're a delusional freak if you think otherwise
We're just barely out of the schizo meltdowns caused by the success of BG3 and you're already setting yourself up for weeks of seething with the guaranteed success of Starfield ?
Do some of you actually enjoy being mad 24/7 ?
>cope newhomosexual. before skyrim released there were threads all over this board,
The board was not the same at that time, it wasn't full of schizos like you shitting on everything. Nowaday you're not allowed to say anything positive about a game or make threads about how hyped you are or else you're a shill, you need to kys and your threads will be derailled anyway.
So stop pretending the lack of perceived hype is a sign of a DOA game. It's just what modern Ganker is. Hate or nothing.
>what went wrong
People finally stopped beliving his lies, just like in that movie, Memento (2000), an American neo-noir mystery psychological thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, based on the short story "Memento Mori" by his brother Jonathan Nolan, which was later published in 2001.
well i will play it because its in sloppass but for me fo4 was the final nail in the coffin. Fo4/76 are so fricking mediocre games. I know they will repeat the same mistakes they did in skyrim in starfield.
Its a shame morrowind is my all-time favorite game to see them go like this.
>What went wrong?
Perhaps they attempted to tackle a genre that calls for more complex gameplay mechanics and engine capabilities than Bethesda is capable of.
Everyone knows the real fun of space is knowing that even when you're on the shitter, you're just a foot of mylar and steel away from absolutely nothing, and that nothing can kill you. Space is all about the constant fear of dying at the slightest mistake.
Then you watch Starfield, and see you can punch people into their helmets and it takes them down, or just shoot them and it doesn't lead to a critical spacesuit rupture and loss of pressure choking the guy out. They just replaced dragons with spaceships, and tombs with remote outposts, and think it's enough. It isn't.
I'm so fricking excited to download this on gamepass, hit start, watch the exe crash, then check the internet to watch the fricking world burn. It's gonna be better than skyrim
eh this is the one point thats overblown. Locked 30 is better for consoletards than the recent AAA "performance" modes that checkboard out the ass and still jump around in the 40s its unironically worse to loom at than just consistent 30
theres white people and robots on the cover, that's enough for me at this point
I've had gamespass forever now anyway so it makes no difference to me if it's shit
Yeah but the kind of one where there's just as many defenders that cancel it out.
Its obvious they're going for a long burn approach where they keep updating and reshilling it years after launch to get you into mods and stuff.
Space games almost always fricking SUCK and the thought of bethesda attempting one makes me laugh
Can’t wait for all the cope when it releases. Gonna be like FO4 but exponentially stupider
>Bigger disaster then cyberpunk
Did Todd promise wall riding or dynamic world like GTA or multiple different endings cyberpunk literally had so many ideas thrown put and hype surrounding it that it died a guaranteed death if it was below expectations
it's just like FFXVI
big studios think they need to massively casualize their RPGs for them to appeal to normies and journos and then BG3 and steals the show
I just have the sinking feeling that there's going to be an average amount of content stretched extremely thin between thousands of procedually generated worlds. this will make the majority of game time spent trying to find content worth playing instead of actually playing fun content.
Wonder if we can go full Mando in this game.
Does the main character has an specific characteristic that forces the players to follow an ultimate path, much as the Dragonborn and the Vaultdweller.
or the main character only has an artifact and you as the player design the ways of the character and its backstory?
It would suck if the character growth is locked under the main story.
In Skyrim it sucks to be the Dragonborn, you can do whatever the frick you want but ultimately you're tied to the call of the greybeards.
Oh my god you fricking homosexuals are insufferable, always doom and gloom bullshit and zero optimism over anything. You morons will literally invent shit to get mad about because enjoying things is for gays or something. I, for one, hope Starfield truly succeeds because I fricking love the premise of the game, but will be rightfully disappointed if it releases bugged beyond belief. But holy shit at least I'm HOPING that all turns out right, I'd rather get my hopes up than to immediately shit all over everything like you fricking Black folk always do.
>post your builds!
Why do these tards act like it's not going to be >guns

Bethesda games don't have "builds". Oh let me guess this build you shoot lazers instead of bullets. Such variety
They do to some extent, you got checks based on stats like intelligence / strength etc, specializing in pistols or automatics etc, back ground traits / perks and whatnot. Probably be able to lean into space combat or mining more or sutff like that.
Beth games are are flawed but still enjoyable. Starfield looks like an improvement in the action side and stuff you can do but the story looks a bit bland. Still preordered and awaiting eagerly.

whats with all the fricking shilling here against starfield , fricking sony fanboy homosexuals , keep seething because u won't get to play the GOTY of 2023 while i will on my PC
As someone who is currently 80 hours into the game, it has absolutely blown my expectations out of the water. This game does victory laps around The Outer Worlds. It’s right up there with BG3, RE4r, & TOTK for sheer amount of entertainment it has brought me. The campaign is incredible and the side content and amount of detail and lore is pretty mind boggling. It’s not the No Mans Skyrim that I was expecting, instead it feels a lot like playing Fallout 3 or Oblivion did at release. All the procedural stuff is cool I guess but it’s the handcrafted environments that are apart of the procedural world that are this games real bread and butter. Everywhere planet I’ve gone to has had little settlements or ruins to explore that are all full of lore, and they don’t feel cramped and confined like The Outer Worlds does. The quests remind me alot of Elder Scrolls with different factions and groups having lengthy campaigns. Theyve knocked it out of the park with how crafting and building works too, and that’s coming from someone who absolutely hated Fallout 4’s building systems. The way building up settlements and factions work is really addictive and doesn’t feel like a bunch of radiant ai bullshit. You can tell that they’ve poured a lot of money and everything they’ve learned prior into this game. I strongly recommend Starfield.
Don’t care. Spent 80 hours on it and had a blast. Granted I had to emulate it in 4K and use mods combined w/ autoHDR and a 60 fps chuck patch to actually appreciate and enjoy the game, but it was still alot of fun. I’m sorry that you’ve forgotten what it’s like to have fun, perhaps you can seek solace by ordering some sodium nitrate and becoming an hero to us all, in Minecraft of course, before you go and shoot up a sorority or something because you can’t cope that ywnbaw
>As someone who is currently 80 hours into the game

moronic brainlet >everything they’ve learned
All they've learned is that if it's broken better just remove it than try to fix it.
Why are people excited for this? The only genuinely cool thing they've shown is the ship building. Outside of that it seems like standard Bethesda jank, what's worse, the NPCs still look like Madame Tussauds puppets
I fricking love space, that's exactly why I'm baffled by people being hyped for this, because it seems that they crafted the blandest possible space exploration experience
>its Skyrim in space
skyrim was big back in 2011, but playing it today will make you see how many moronic flaws it has >dungeons were semi generated >around 15 voice actors for the whole game >fricked up magic >bad balancing >story is MEH >more than 100 quests in game >only 3 of them are actually worth your time >also radiant quests >mediocre game design >no RPG in RPG
if it's actually going to be a skyrim-in-space game, prepare for a flop
and you know bethesda, it will be
>more than 100 quests in game >only 3 of them are actually worth your time
this is why "over 1000 planets" is such a dead giveaway on how soulless the game will be
by the way, expect Starfield to have the same boring, slow, monotonous voice direction of Skyrim with many different NPCs saying the same thing with the same intonation but with a different voice
If it is a disaster it will get so much attention it will have a renaissance like Cyberpunk. The worst thing that can happen to Starfield is that it ends up being mediocre, a totally fine 7/10.
I don't care for this game one bit.
you say this, but you already bought the premium edition. i know youll say you didnt..but we know the truth.

Seriously tho, where's the hype? I swear even Fallout 76 had more hype than this.
the game just looks and 'is' boring. is there a Starfield trailer as good as this?
That's a sick trailer. Beth should stick to fantasy RPGs tbh.
Saddest thing to me was Bethesda missing the 11-11-22 release date for starfield. It’s just a bad omen

Some people just genuinely like Bethesda games, and there hasn't been a new single player game from them since FO4 in 2015.

only a moron cares about balancing. there were incredibly OP builds in oblivion that were loads of fun.
Literally all other criticisms will be levied against Starfield too. And we won't get mods to fix them.
83 opencritic incoming
europoors and chinks are really annoying lately with the anti Zelda or Starfield threads
Don't care about this game at all. Just waiting for Todd to get this modern/future slop out of his system so he can make real games again.
If the game is not in a medieval-like setting where people use swords and wear armour the game is going to be shit. NO EXCEPTIONS.
You could simply tell us you're just a gay.
starfield will be a whole wad of fun
I believe in Todd, already paid him £100 for the game he won't let me down surely
