Jumpscare warning
Boy the "established" media really hates Todd, why is that?
They don't. They've been doing round the clock campaigns to dismiss the idea BG3 has raised the bar, and explicitly tried to lower expectations back to a pre-BG3 world. It is not a coincidence that this is happening as we approach the release of Starfield.
A
Todd called out that one israelite journalist from Kotaku Jason Schreir or whatever for leaking Fallout 4 info. He was blacklisted from Bethesda and he's been crying about it ever since
>offer honest coverage on shit games
>butthurt company stops interacting with you and just keeps the same asslickers who will compromise
This is part of the reason gaming journalism is such a joke.
Bethesda straight up blacklists "journalists" who frick with them so they're salty that they don't get pre-release copies anymore. It's basically like how that one site told everyone how to pirate Metroid Dread and then cried next Nintendo release when daddy Nintendo didn't give them shit.
? Aren't Baldur's Gate and Starfield completely different games? Bethesda "RPGs" are barely that anymore, I assume this will be more of an action exploration game.
Todd thinks of his games as RPG, so it's comparable enough by his own metrics.
Regulators label them as action-adventure.
For me it's certain things about Starfield itself that make it hard to justify spending money on it.
Nobody thinks Starfield is going to be an RPG. Bethesda doesn't make those anymore.
they don't compete whatsoever
but it's amusing to see its success when bethesda and that fricking homosexual non-gamer pete hines keep defending the stripping of RPG elements in their games because it's 'what the audience wants'
obviously it's not; you're just out of touch and lazy
Starfield is going to smash these numbers. Baldur's Gate 3 is getting good reviews but that's only because journalists love LBTQI romances and deconstructionist fantasy
how can starfield compete if it has shallower gameplay and much less gay sex. Only way for Todd to save his magnum opus is hastely patch in that ever npc and companion is a romanceable homo
by making more money and not being flavour of the month shit. Critic reviews do not matter
Not to mention the journos only play the first few hours of the game before they shit out a "review" so they don't mention how BG3 completely goes to shit after the first act, how so much content is broken.
It's probably Wizards of the Coast incentivizing them to do so in addition to other astroturfing after so much recent bad press.
if starfield doesn't have at least 50% of the reactivity of BG3, its going to trash, and I hope Starfield gets enough flak from the general population to frick bethesda in ass, Todd has being riding on the wienertails of Skyrim for too long, at some point the skyrim effect has to end.
Bethesda will be fine. BG3's success means little for Starfield.
>2015
>Fallout 4 has its thunder stolen by The Witcher 3
>2023
>Starfield has its thunder stolen by BG3
Bethesda just can't stop losing.
<30fps
slopfield
Did you come up with that yourself? Probably the cleverest thing Ive ever heard a Snoy say
slopfield
Stop, I can only take some much brutal abuse to my psyche
starslop
i dont own any sony consoles. I'm a PC guy and I just know slop when i see it.
your mom's Netflix laptop won't run starfield
as long it has a browser it could, and 60fps too
when you see the starfield downgrade its gonna be funny
kek why?
You've got a whole generation of youths, particularly males, with every form of depravity shoved down their throats by media and society and no outlet for it. Women won't frick now unless you are an ultra Chad and rich. These poor c**ts need an outlet and then larian comes along with a game where literally everyone and everything wants to frick. it's a shit tier rpg which appeals to them, forgotten realms series on commodore 64 annihilates it and that's pushing 40 years old.
Starfield looks amazing, I don't think anyone who is hyped for it gives a shit about baldur's gate OP
Bethesda games have been terrible as actual RPGs for a while. People mostly play Fallout to explore the wasteland.
>BG3 allows you to frick bears, how will the gaming industry recover?
Why does this feel extremely forced?
>I hate this unreleased game I'm not going to play so much and this is why
itt:seethe
i think its more of a "laugh at bethesda" thread
>fly planet to planet to press E on a bunch of useless rocks
will this be the vidya game equivalent of dangling keys in front of toddlers?
Journalists are fricking rats
>2023 is the year all the morons realize that bethesda does not make RPGs, but bad digital theme parks.
>what an rpg can be
bethesda has been making unfinished rpgs for longer than larian has been around. really wish these homosexuals would just play through more than 20 hours of the game without rerolling.
I don't want to go back to having almost no choices in faction quests and essential npcs being everywhere.
There's really no telling, right now, if Starfield will meet that criterion or not. It's unlikely though.
No. It's still a Bethesda game (people will buy it) and it's totally different game (there almost to none competition between those two titles)
People are not buying Starfield to have a deep RPG experience, they're buying it to have fun. Just like Fallout 4. Just like Skyrim. Just like Fallout 3. Just like Oblivion. Just like Morrowind. Just like Daggerfall. Just like Arena.
There is NO WAY for starfield to get such peak as BG3 cus casuals grey mass will be finishing BG3 and won't buy starfield immediately.
Todd is sweating right now
