The floating points are double precision in Starfield and the game re-origins to whatever cell of the world space you are in, not your landing site. The world space limit is another issue which may or may not be ironed out
Your landing site isn’t even the center of the map most of the time. Its random among the possible POI locations the game geneates

It's exactly the reason most modders are amateurs and not actual software engineers and it hasn't stopped over 6000 mods already being made before the CE has released.
Thats what the beth modding scene is saying. One of the reasons why a lot of them are dropping the game is because the game is simply fricked at a core design that it prevents them from making massive overhauls like say Enderal or beyond skyrim mods. At best you will just see replacers and maybe custom quests but nothing on the scale of skyrim overhaul mods. Anything else would require a complete rework of everything and no modder is going through the hassle of doing that.

FO4 just got an expansion sized settlement mod while beyond Skyrim hasn’t gotten anything complete or Michele’s decent in the last 4-5 years. Starfield’s CK will allow you the same tools used to proc gen world spaces so they will be much easier to generate and then edit

People forget that those were outliers. NMS was a indie game and CDPR only makes 1 game at a time. The reputation of those studios were dependent on how well the reception of their games are handled and it would heavily affect future projects. Meanwhile BGS and other companies are massive corpos that can shit out multiple games and be okay. BGS also infamously never overhauls their games beyond whats only added with paid dlc. Everything else is done by modders.
