I’ve been here since 2003, though I can’t even remember when this board came into existence. It always fascinates me the pissing contest people have over who belongs here. It’s almost like people existed 21 years ago, had an internet connection and frequented the internet. It’s almost like those people are still alive today in their between their early 30s and 50s now. It’s not a special enough place to really need to have evidence. I don’t really feel like that much went on in those times. I think I was too young to care. There’s a few things from 2007+ I remember - but you wouldn’t know, so it wouldn’t matter.

Personally, I think 2007 - 2015 were probably the best years. It was sort of that end of emo era into vlogger era. Everything before then was sorta like CP, gore, racism etc but in a different way. It feels like all that stuff is posted as satire rather than just being real. I remember it took like 10 fricking years for Facebook to get the basic memes like forever alone. They have really gotten out of hand. They used to be just a mini dungeon (if you could even call it that) where you had to make your way to the Gym Leader.
Now they're some big event ready to go at all times, with some shitty mini game you will never do again, and having nothing to do with the game at all. What the frick did rolling a giant ball in SV have to do with anything besides that "puzzle"?

Yes, Pokemon would be a million times replayable if they did what every other JRPG is doing and allow you to press + to skip the dialogue.
Fire Emblem did it best and 70% of that game is padded by dialogue and voice acting.
Pokemon games would lose their soul if you could skip dialogue.
