This is exactly what people knew would happen to all the Dynamax Pokemon. Now they have to give all those Pokemon evolutions/buffs
I just wish they had some variety. A bit of overlap between gens is fine but do we really need Pikachu, Eevee, and Rotom to come back every time?

Everything pre gen 5 was absent until postgame, when it was all there. Gen 5 was also the first game I played since Gen 1 where everything felt fresh and new. You never knew what you were going to get, but because most Pokemon were also somewhat parallel to an existing mon, they were familiar enough you could jump right into them. The fact I played on a pirated JP ROM as soon as the exp anti-piracy check was patched but before the fan translation made it even more fun. I was wandering around lost in a game I couldn't read and just guessing what moves would do based on their type; basically just like Gen 1 where you'd see you were learning a new move by name only and have no other information about it. Learn it, use it in battle and see what happens. Hope it's good and you didn't delete something you liked just to learn Rage! I wish more games would be like Gen 5.

Pokemon like Rayquaza were already fine without megas. The problem with that is that they gave megas to pokemon that didn't need it and look, they abandon the gimmick in the mainline. Anyone could Dynamax and even then it was just a unique move with a different appearance. Do you not see the issue of giving a pokemon unique forms off a 1-time gimmick only to cut off said gimmick next game?

I wouldn't care if we got new models each time. The rostergayging could be awesome actually. If we are going to cut mons we should go all the way and have like 200 max in each game, all with new models and upgraded movesets/forms. Then you could get hyped for each new entry.
There are interesting gimmicks they could do, they just haven't gotten there yet.
