Why is the Monster Hunter community so much better than the Dark Souls community?
You din't beat the game
All of it doesn't count because Capcom has failed to implement the Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2 as a new weapon class
Baste
What is wrong with you man. Your forced meme isnt good at all. Just stop. Its not funny. Not even a very slight chuckle. If this is what you do to entertain yourself then try having sex.
don't listen to this prick btw
i actually smirk when i see your post
I might be moronic, but that's unrelated
Definitely listen to this prick.
You are painfully unfunny.
Keep posting forever, hero.
>Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2
LP4 never ever
F
I really hope they don't give up on the LP franchise forever. Some of the missions in that game were pure kino.
>MH Wilds brings back Jhen as a roaming loot pinata
>LP4 announcement and an event quest that replaces him with Red Eye
Consider what this prick said
And use your best judgement as to whether to proceed with shitposting or not
Hey man,
I think its a good idea. Dont let these debbie downers ruin your fun. They cant hurt you unless you let them, chin up.
keep the faith, gun sword anon
your dream will come true
haha
btw the bow can do melee
Tourist influx? Gunsword bro doesn't usually get this much attention. Let alone negative attention.

Stop thinking like a moron and caring about stupid shit.
Solo greatsword or hammer only no buddies no mantles or you’re gay
greatsword is literal moronic journalist mode. look at asmontard.
Id argue most can be ezmode if you stack divine blessing, health boost and chug mega pots.
>play world
You didn't actually hunt anything
is this that raid phone game? frick off to your containment board. not a real video game.
They don't say it because clearing the quest gets them rewards, but they think it
If they want perfection they can go play by themselves. I'm here to bonk monsters and laugh at our mistakes. Hunting is fun.
You thought transitioning was fun too, till you found you can’t go back and now your stuck, Jasmine.
Monster hunter has never really been a series for people who need the validation of letting people know they are hard-core gamers.
It has traditionally been mostly for normal gays to play with friends, autists who want to do meme shit like sleep bomb builds and iron dagger elder dragon fights, and monster frickers.
>Dark Souls
>hard core gaming
Jesus Christ Black person you could at least try. There are NES games out there that are legit more challenging than "Artificial Difficulty" Souls.
Are you underage or something?
It doesn't matter how challenging game is, if marketers said it's epic and hardcore, then audience will consider them such
>bbbbbut I'm 15 and super special did you heard about nes
No one fricking cares
>Why is the Monster Hunter community so much better than the Dark Souls community?
they're not, they're just a different kind of insane moron
>used SOS flare
You didn't win the game
These 30 feystones from lava fish says otherwise.
We hunt monsters. That's it.
>Drink a potion
You don't even need to drink a potion when hunting.
Your Grimalkyne vigorwasp is all you need. That shit is busted.
>OH he's dying. Let me Lifepowder my guy.
>not being a responsible owner and giving your cat a bag of hand grenades
ngmi
The bard cat is fricking OP.
Oh, let me just as k my cat to make me immune to a shit ton of stuff, including poison, because it'd be bad if poison monsters actually did anything.
>NO YOU CANT PREPARE FOR THE ENEMY THAT'S CHEATING
>homies ain't getting their cat to rob the plate/gem right off the monster
yall are the DEFINITION of not making it
Let me guess, you've only played world?
The only one that matters
I played rise too but it felt like a step backwards in every way
Rise is superior in game play, mechanics, weapon and armor modification.
World is superior in visuals, aesthetics, evironment
>gameplay, mechanics
Id rather we get World 2(Wilds) than Rise 2. That wirebug shit can frick off
I just want Rapid Morph and Diving Wyvern back for Wilds.
That shit was so satisfying and fun to do for us Switch Axe CHADS.
I dont know if I can play another Monter Hunter after replaying World without:
Dodge Bolt
Bow types (Pierce/Spread/Rapid)
they surely wont downgrade us, right? RIGHT?
God, playing gunlance without rocket dash and guard reload is depressing
post-strife sunbreak bow is worse than world bow. delete infinite stamina from the series and never bring it back again
Leave it to the Portable Team to give skills to weapons that needed it for a decade, and not just throwing more stuff to Long Sword and Guns.
Rapid morph got a little bit silly honestly. It would be fine without the damage bonus. Soaring wyvern blade is cool, but I'm not going to be upset if it stays in Rise.
I think the morph attacks with rapid morph are a good speed, but it's kind of hard to compare because Rise also added the new improved morph attacks which I really hope are now a permanent part of SAl
Monster hunter at its best is when it's about fast movement instead of slow garbage like world.
>Monster hunter at its best is when it's about fast movement
You've never played monster hunter
I'm playing the insect gaive for rise so I think the firebug mechanic is a lot of fun which is what people seem to complain about.
Maybe I'm moronic but I wish there was a way to just instantly down monsters that get staggered into ride mode, instead of having to run them into a wall.
you can instantly put a monster into ride mode wit hthe Puppet Spider endemic life. They're on pretty much every map so just learn where they are.
I dont want to ride at all, the only time it's useful is for turf wars because it gets the other to run away faster
combat and gameplay felt better in rise to me compared to world. I agree world did everything else better, however. Also I gotta say, i prefer being able to craft my fricking decos.
Between farming random decos and farming random charms I'm not sure which is worse, why can't we just craft everything and only farm mats that don't rely on dumb luck?
(you) will buy the battlepass
(you) will use the get a random charm with every battlepass tier
and (you) will be happy
the reason why you need to grind for decos and rare item drops is specifically because it forces you to keep fighting monsters for longer than you otherwise would. It's just a way to inflate game time artificially
I think random talis is infinitely better. Maybe I'm just an MH boomer but random decos just seems like way too much RNG shit, if I get a half decent tali I feel like I'm good to go forever. For decos it's a neverending grind to just get a little bit stronger.
If you dont like grinding then why are you playing a Monster Hunter game? Thats literally all its ever been.
I think there's a difference between purposeful grinding and aimless grinding.
There's been grinding regardless of talis or RNG decos. There's a big difference between "long grind to get strong set or strong weapon" and "neverending grind to get 1% stronger" that newer games are leaning towards. Former felt better to me. Don't really care because the games are still fun, just stating my preference.
>charms are about as effective as one strong piece of armor
>most equipment sets are going to want 10+ decos
decos is infinitely worse
At least it gave me Yomogi, Komitsu and Chichae as wives
Wtf they are just eating apples why is this image made so sexual?
There's a reason for the stare
They look ugly in the actual game so it's hardly an upside
Yeaaah, but still sex
>saving downscaled images
Except for the actual combat which was leagues above. Imagine not having customizable moveset and only half of rises movelist.
No it wasnt lol. Every weapon was wildly over powered and invalidated every fight. Monsters in World are at least threatening. They were just punching bags in rise
>Monsters in World are at least threatening.
???
>Monsters in World are at least threatening.
>nargacuga.webm
Did they ever fix the dropped inputs and delay in Rise with Sunbreak? Ruined the game for me
>Except for the actual combat which was leagues above.
LOL
they do if you use temporal mantle
>sigh as I see the flashy mantle go on my teammate
>mfw it turns out to actually be a Bandit mantle
I exclusively bandit for the bros and ladybros. And if my useless ass palico is going to do anything, it's use the coral horn or the plunderblade to cosplay for finding the One Piece residing within these abominations.
What if you only use temporal for wallbangs?
If you need to use temporal mantle for wallbangs, you need to learn monster attack timings better.
when Nintendocultists arent fricking every thread up its a nice place. We might even talk about Stories/2 being cool, or our favorite monster BIG SNEK
As long as you beat a monster solo once, it's fine, whatever.
In DD1 the best way to play is solo, you only bring pawns to give them experience and monster tactics. You even get Augments that massively increase your skills/stats when solo.
>Start hunt
You didn't beat the game.
There actually are hyper autistic homosexual spergs in Monster Hunter too, but they're all contained exclusively in the absolute end game, and the only thing they care about is your damage per second. I think they're mostly just MMO secondaries, though, and they're pretty rare.
The main homosexualry they'll do is that they'll use a DPS tracker mod with a hotkey that spews out the raw damage in the chat at the end of a hunt, sometimes with some shit talking at someone with low numbers
I am honestly so glad I've played MH1 since the start with my brother, we've done every single game together whether PSP or online etc. We 2-man everything. However if each other isn't there at one point we'll joint randoms and half the time it works, others don't.
i never used any mod but it does feel frustrating when you're the only one or maybe you and someone else who actually does dmg and carry the hunt with the others griefing and carting to stupid shit like morons
sometimes it's a matter of respect, you don't join a hunt completely unprepared and ruin it for others, if you're a noob shitter and you don't know the monster get divine blessing 3 at least preferably 5
Found the hyper autistic sperg
Shut up and hunt.
I kneel, Have a great night King
post your huntress
>friend needs to see cutscene to play MP with me in story missions
Ruined World for my friends, I played through solo but they only wanted to play if we could co-op the whole time. The cutscene shit was beyond stupid, Saints Row 2 fixed this shit 16 years ago.
Hope they don't pull that shit in wilds
everyone starts the mission at same time, all but one quit after the cutscene and join up in one match
you and your friends are moronic for ditching a whole game because you have to spend 2-5mins at the start SOME hunts alone
I've played through the whole game with my hammer bro it's really not a issue
Because no one says anything period. You're playing what is essentially sterilized matchmaking. Might as well play with bots at that point.
>world
you didn't really play monster hunter
but I did
you're just buttblasted about it 😉
I'm playing through World as a first timer right now but I plan on playing the other games eventually too.
No one says that shit anywhere outside Ganker. This place is for jokes and the occasional hidden gem, nothing more.
>Why yes, I do take all of the supplies at the beginning of a multiplayer hunt, how could you tell?
>dont even touch the box in coopp
>have max number of pots and dusts on loadout
Keep thinking I want to get back into World with the current events and stuff.
But it's been a lot of years since I last played and all my muscle memory is definitely gone. I had loadouts and gear for Lance, Swaxe and LBG. Now I don't know if I could even remember how to do quick crafting on the fly.
not to be that anon, but "do you even need more than 10 megas, 2 ancients, dusts of life, life powder???"...
radial shortcut is moronic easy, you remap it then if you cant remember what you just remapped to then I dont know what to say
>join SOS
>all the potions are there
>all the rations are gone
why????
You have so many ways to heal in World the first-aids are just complete waste of space.
>she doesn't make firstaid+ by grabbing convenient honey on the way
>she doesn't save the 2 copper coins it makes when hoarding mega potions
And here I thought I was hunting with frugal adventurers worth their spice. Not very proud of you, onichan.
>using potions and first aid kits
>not being a mushroomancer and eating poisonous mushrooms for a quick easy full heal
Once I went mandragoras, I couldn't go back to megas, though I do carry 2 emergency max.
morons refuse to do Optionals, gather rare ingredients, or capture bugs, so they don't have the max food hp/stam buffs from meals.
When I started playing this game I didn't expect all this crafting and material gathering autism.
Because multiplayer is the intended experience and MH is about atomizing the monster as efficiently as possible or in an enjoyable a way as possible.
>Once hit mechanic comes in
>Block it because im a lance chad

>virgin block

>lance losing sharpness on block
???????????
Has Capcom implementing DRM into all their games hit this one yet?
No. If I were you I would disable auto updates in case they do.
MHgays regard proper preparation as a respectable way of clearing the game.
It's the only way to play, unga bunga until you or the monster is dead is soulless
what if you thoroughly and properly prepare so that you can unga bunga?
Then you know what you're doing and your success is guaranteed, which makes you based
>tfw became a LS shitter
I'm sorry, but iaido is too cool.
>be me
>hammergay
>decide to play multiplayer
>everyone besides me is using a bladed weapon
>NOBODY tries to cut the tail
>they all target the head
>longsword gay keeps flinching me
>they all triple cart
>the only meaningful damage I do is when the longsword gay is dead
I think I'll stick to single player.
You should never do multiplayer in a monster hunter game without at least one level of Flinch Free, it's practically mandatory.
>no flinch free in MP
>cutting the tail in world
>instead of everyone beelining for the head to make the hunt end faster
Shitter detected.
Trying out some DB in sunbreak as a nice change of pace and I was kinda expecting to have to learn ranges and remembering that this or that is probably not safe you know the usual stuff with learning a new weapon. Instead I find a weapon that seems built around disrespecting the monster as much as possible and telling the monster that no its still my turn to hit you. I'm fairly certain the only reason my hunts are slower are due to still learning the moveset, using the wrong element and still respecting the monster too much. I haven't touched db since like 3U so I wasn't expecting this. Jesus christ pass the dash juice because mercy is no longer on the table
almost just dropping Sunbreak cause if they remove most of the QoL stuff and some of the good stuff from combat Wilds will fell terrible if its just World 2
My biggest concern moving to wilds is that I've developed a lot of defensive habits around the wirebug stuff like wirefall/kinsect recall/shrouded vault/other i-frame skills that its going to take a while to relearn dodging with just the regular moveset. I do hope the switch skill system makes it into wilds since that's another point of customization but I doubt the wirebug skills are making it in unscathed.
Because World (and Rise) scales monsters to the amount of players
Bosses in Souls already have low HP generally but you get a similar amount of healing as in MH so summoning makes them really easy
In classic MH hub monsters were literally just always scaled to 3-4 players which I kind of miss in a way
>enter hunt
>immediately wallbang monster
>hit it while it's down
>as soon as it stands up trap it
>hit it while it's stuck
>trap it again
>continue hitting it
>put it to sleep when it escapes second trap
>smack it with strongest attack and bombs
>paralyze it
>hit it while it can't move
>by now rage is off so I wallbang it again
>wandering monster comes by
>bang the wandering monster into it, downing it again
>craft another trap
>trap it again
>I'm playing online with three other people so we all take turns chain trapping it
>capture monster without it ever having a chance to attack once
Ah yes, another successful hunt.
send guild card
>you refuse
send friend invite
>you refuse

>other 3 cart instantly
PAIN
Don't forget using evasion and rocksteady mantle in case it survives the full blunt rotation and you have to actually fight it.
This but with flashbangs and traps in Freedom Unite.
>not using falling rocks and luring monster for turf war for free ~10,000 damage
>wandering monster comes by
>bang the wandering monster into it, downing it again
Oh shit I gotta try this
>playing early iceborne
>still dont know how to clutch claw and wallbang properly or reliably
apparently it was added to base game after iceborne came out, so none of the base monsters were designed with it in mind or something?
How to wallbang, EZ tutorial:
1. Latch onto monster head any time you know you have at least a ~3 second opening while it is NOT raging (raging disables this)
2. hit the alternate attack button to clutch claw swipe. This will immediately interrupt anything the monster is trying to do, so that's why you only need an extremely short opening. The monster will rotate 1/3rd
3. If the monster is now facing towards a nearby wall or other monster, press the flinch shot button. If not, you can rotate him two more times to try to line it up. On your 4th swipe the monster will automatically enrage so you won't be able to wallbang.
4. Once you wallbang the monster will enrage. This is to prevent you from just chaining infinite wall bangs.
So in conclusion, any time a monster is not raging you should be able to wallbang them with even the most tiny of openings. Also, if a monster is currently flying, they don't even need to be near a wall. Just flinch shot on their head and they'll fall and take damage. You should still face swipe them once to stun them and animation cancel though
>The monster will rotate 1/3rd
meant to say 1/4th.
Also you can wallbang monsters into each other and they'll both go down. This allows you to sometimes down your target monster even if they're raging.
Wallbangs also do extremely high "part damage", causing them to break parts easily and makes tails easier to slice off, and it's very common to get shiny drops from wall bangs as a result
Out of both World and Rise, who's the biggest pain in the ass variant to fight? Chaotic Gore Magala?
Risen Shaggy. AOE fest, and only one good hit zone that's shielded by 2 big shitzones.
In terms of being a pain in the ass as in "not even remotely fun to fight" it's probably either Shrieking Legiana or Brapveil Vaal Hazak
>monsters have no idea how to react to light bowgun and you can spend 10 minutes orbiting then and shooting them in the butthole
lol
>evade 3 lance in MH4U with EE
is it cheating?
evade lance is just the superior way to play lance, it's not cheating
counter lance is gimped in 4U so evade lance is just the default for that game
Is iceborne best played vanilla or with the ICE mod?
ICE mod is borderline cheating so vanilla + remove clagger mod
You think they'll ever put him in a mainline game?
Would you?
>human parts
Gay
Gimmie the whole horse
Absolutely, without hesitation especially since she's doing a finger bang motion with her horn.
Maybe, but get me a lunagaron girl and yeah we're in business for sure
Like this?
Yeah i'd let her go wild on me any day. On a related note I get that the revoltech lunagaron hunter figure would have the DB but I'm still not sure why they gave it an LS as an alternative. Actually which monster sets would even map to each weapon any way? I get that GS and maybe SnS goes hand in hand with the iconic rathalos set but what about the other weapons?
If you don't want the donuts, then how come you don't go nuts!
Centaurs are stupid
Centaurs aren't stupid.
You're stupid!
>secondaries, morons, and tertiaries still think Kirin is a horse
lol
it fricking neighs
As its inspiration also does, but still is not a horse. Those aren't hooves, anon
Monster Hunter is better balanced than Souls.
Magic in Souls games is flat-out a cheat code. You're not playing the same game as a melee player.
I started playing freedom unite sometime ago, since i wanted to start playing monster hunter not from world but from one of the older ones, right now i'm hardstuck at the tigrex fight and i am just done. Honestly, congrats to anyone who just has the willpower to actually learn how to play and grind for the equipments, i have had enough. Sorry for the blogpost but i just really needed to express myself somewhere.
We get it you could have posted the sage for weeaboo shit classic image
>he started with PSP claw grip jankfest because "its old".
Are you moronic? Was your first car a fricking gremlin because it was older than a 2015 camry? Did you decide to start with a rotary phone before you finally upgraded to a smart phone? What kind of logic is this? Not surprised you ended up fricking yourself.
Monsters get tired in 3rd gen and on. In 2nd gen they're just on you 24/7.
Learn to spam flashbombs and traps to keep the monsters locked down and even the odds. For FU specifically, if you get the free DLC, the granny will sell flashbugs making it much easier to make flashbombs. Tigrex is specifically one of the absolute worst fights in FU, he's a fricking horrendous bastard. Learn to dive to avoid his running attacks too.
Sounds like you should play world.
I don't care about how you got duped into playing MHFU, grinding for (non-moster) mats in that game was just pure tedium.
World streamlined it by giving ores as quest rewards sometimes, and making it so that you only have to gather once per vein. You pretty much just need to hunt monsters (i.e. play the game) to proceed through the game.
I think you should try Tri
Can you even do all hunts in Tri anymore? Iirc some hunts were online only right? Like Caedeus and Jhen. Fricking loved Tri though holy shit. I still have it, but havent played since the servers shut down.
Caedus is offline only in Tri. Alatreon and Jhen are online only, and they now have custom servers up for Tri, so you can play it all again.
On my Wii? So I can just boot it up and im good, or do i need to do some bullshit for custom servers? Im not computer savvy at all btw.
I think you'll need to hack your Wii to play it.
you need to soft-mod your wii and then install a mod to play online. It's not hard to do if you follow video guides but you'll be jumping through some hoops
there are private servers for Monster Hunter Tri now. You either need to play on emulator or have a soft modded wii to play on the private servers bu they exist. I haven't personally done it, though
>he didn't claw grip the entire game even though you have dual sticks
you didn't beat the game
Please... I want Hunter Arts and Valor style back...
Because the fun ones are playing the game, leaving the autistic spergs to have mental breakdowns on here instead
>Start hunt
>Fire SOS
>No one joins
>Spend 15 minutes rolling around some moronic monster
>Go back to the hub
>Repeat
Sorry anon, I actually look for SOS with people over ten minutes hunting solo. I must have missed yours.
Why would you ever join an SoS over 10 minutes old? You get nothing for it.
He's not doing it for rewards, he's doing it to actually help hunters in need.
You didn't hunt the game
i miss when people used to prance at the end of a quest
I still always prance at the end of every hunt even if nobody else does
You care too much
I've been playing GU. Every 25 hunts, I roll a weapon and style combo and stick with it for another 25. This time I got Valor Lance and it's SO bad! The weird third poke is already bad enough, but I feel completely neutered with this style. Literally any other style would have been better. For context, I have mained Lance in pretty much every game and I feel like Valor Lance is the absolute worst incarnation of it. I can't wait to close this out and roll for the next weapon+style combo.
Why are there so many complicated systems and mechanics in this game? I just want to hunt.
sweatlords want their 12 gorillion buffs and ammo types at level 4
Like what?
Then get a weapon and hunt. Simple as. There's plenty of unga bunga grugbrained weapons, and you don't need to engage with too many of the systems to succeed.
I think you want Monster Hunter Now or some other mobileshit with autoplay because all you need to do to hunt is to start hunting
>multiplayer
Didn't beat it
gunlance
MH community is way worse than the souls community thanks to the insane console warriors
I cant believe how slow and easy monsters are in world after going back to it after rise
Why would anyone care what the community thinks?
I SOSed fatalis, triple-carted, got carried the whole way through. Don't give a frick. I still got the weapon.
>vaal hazak's laser beam will shoot out sideways to try and hit you
lol
I just finished replaying through Monster Hunter World and I'm thinking of replaying Rise and then finally playing the expansion.
Which weapons have gameplay that's radically different from anything available in world? Any weapons that are especially fun in Rise? Any particularly amazing switch skills I should try out?
Surge slash GS for memes, courage hammer for fun. SnS is not perfect rush spam any more. Bow got shot types back. There's aerial DB but I never liked it and kept using the beyblades. Harvest moon LS for more memes. This is from a Sunbreak perspective, I cant remember what got ported back to base Rise.
gunlance with blast dash and reverse blast dash
SnS is fun with Metsu and Oil. Switch Axe is way more better with Soaring Wyvern that lets you fly back to the monster after releasing discharge.
I didn't like SnS in World because it was just perfect rush spam after Iceborne but maybe I should give it another go. Gunlance also sounds promising, i'd like to jet around like a rocket
surge GS and air DB sounds like way too much of a meme for me
You don't HAVE to PR spam. I'm an SnS lover throughout the series and I personally adore the infinite comboing and changing directions. I mainly fight Fatalis with normal combos, PR for downs and sometimes the big cone breath but that's it. No problem soloing him. PR is just for max damage.
HH while lobotomized was still fun to autopilot here and there.
Hammer with the sick counter and the sicker sound effect.
is it worth it to double dip into world for pc? i've got 2.5ish thousand hours on worldborne back on ps4 with my little brother and he too is also burnt out.
do i wait another 2 years to play MonHun or go back to worldborne but on pc?
i played rise but it was just okay. biggest gripe were the hit effects and the dango tbh.
Probably not. If you had less hours, maybe.
The difference in load times alone makes it worth it in my opinion.
It goes on sale for dirt cheap fairly regularly, so wait for the next one. You could also try Stories 2
>cheat in end game gear
>respond only to low level SOS
Yup it's hunting time gamers
For me, cheating in everything I wanted made me quit the game. The grind is the game.
Nah, some of the endgame RNG can go frick itself. Not having a way to craft everything you need after enough grinding is bullshit.
Alright lads, it's hunting time.
>Facetank build.
Bet you still cart
all of the day bro.
Don't forget your evasion mantle and rocksteady mantle, king
Don't have Iceborne so Vitality and Temporal is is.
Can't cart if your health never dips below 70% before chugging 5 max potions you just got from base camp.
Get 3x Free Meal and those 5 max potions turn into 20.
Nah, only need health booster and gillie mantle.
Missing free meal. Also mushroomancer>speed eating.
This is the immortal build. It can outheal Vaal's AIDs.
>i want 25 minute hunts against high rank monsters
>played 100 hours
>haven't ever played with another person
>used only nude mods the whole time
not a bad game, but I feel a little bad because while I didn't 'cheat' by using defender/guardian gear to beat base mhw, I went straight into iceborne after it and now have gear that is fairly overpowered compared to what was available for postgame base.
I have a ridiculously awful time getting into new weapons. I'm always in doubt if I should just craft the best I can or try to start low to get a hang for things. Then I always regret whichever decision I go with. Then I always go back to my main.
>wake up and check previous thread
>series veterans unironically consider 3ds version of 3u better than wiiu one, despite one of them having unbearable fonts and only one stick
>series veterans unironically say that ib fatalis was hardest fight in the franchise
>shitton of others hilariously wrong opinions
What's wrong with you, people?
I love switch axe, and have made a set that allows me to ZSD spam all day every day. I used to wonder if I was being helpful, or keeping up in dps, and installed damage graph. After around 70 hunts, I have learned that not only am I keeping up in damage, but I chop tails consistently and usually score around 35% of the damage on a team of four.
Switch axe is so much fun and I really enjoy measuring my hunts in explosions per minute.
ZSD is fun as frick and effective but it's maybe the single most mindless playstyle possible in World. Especially if you make use of mantles, you can pretty much just ignore all of a monsters mechanics for most of the fight.
My health is a resource. Once I'm amped, I throw on my rocksteady mantle and let monsters charge and just eat the damage while I grab their face and explode over and over, regening hp on every explosion. I was attempting to craft an elemental set to fight the alatreon next, and hope the ZSD spam continues to work.
Honestly I'm surprised at what I could do, I thought the Raging Brachy would be too dangerous to hunt like I normally do, or some elder dragons, but I haven't found a limit yet.
I used a similar playstyle when I was playing through Iceborne at launch and Alatreon is actually somewhat of a counter to it. Similar to furious rajang, a lot of alatreons attacks do extremely rapid small hits that will rapidly drain your mantles. Particularly if you're attached to the horns, which are a vital target to break on ala, the running attack will pretty much instantly break your mantle and hit you off
Noted, maybe I'll have to stop unga bungaing at this endgame point. Only have the alatreon and fatalis left for monsters I haven't hunted yet, I think.
you can absolutely unga bunga Fatalis with discharge once you learn his moves
>up to iceborne
>walled on Barioth
is this c**t ever going to let me attack? this shit turned boring fast.
Uh bro your wallbang? Your traps? Your status? Your flashbug?
Not gonna lie, I just SOSed that shit.
If you want to solo something later to feel good, frostfang variant is a much more enjoyable hunt.
break his arms and he becomes a joke
>struggling on Barioth
>fricking BARIOTH
bruh
You're paradoxically going to get your best opportunities to attack by running away from him because he'll just keep trying to jump half the arena no matter the distance to you, get to about one and a half body lengths away and he tends to land right next to you and you can hit his arms once or twice, once they break you have time to instead hit the head. Hope you're using hammer or great sword otherwise that shit is going to take 20 years.
If you used true charged slash on a low or high rank monster you did not by any stretch of the imagination hunt the damn monster
If we're being real, you can't say you REALLY hunted a monster unless the only source of damage the monster received during the hunt was from attacking with your kinsect. Striking the monster with your weapon directly is just easy mode
this. anything other than the old school foundational type of GSing doesn't count.
There was nothing wrong with TCS in base world. It let them flesh out the moveset of GS a little while keeping the big reward charge part intact.
Iceborne pumping its damage up to completely centralize the moveset around it was utterly moronic though.
TCS was already so strong in base World all your tactics were based around it. If anything they changed that in Iceborne since they added a buffed unsheathe option. The biggest buff it got in Iceborne was slingershot instant reposition
It really wasn't, especially compared to getting charged slash and charged strong slash into strong roundslash which did more damage in the time it took you to tackle cancel into a charged TCS. morons would still play entirely around TCS but it wasn't actually THAT strong, and definitely not the only way to play.
It wasn't until Iceborne gave TCS a straight up like 40% damage buff when both hits land, as well as letting you skip right into it with slinger burst, that it became the only valid strategy.
>40% buff
Yeah I'm calling bullshit
As per fextralife the MVs are
> 1st hit: 15/20/22
> 2nd hit: 120/175/211
> 2nd hit (if 1st hit connects with a weakspot): 144/210/264
So I guess more like 25%
Still moronic.
do you think the birbs in wilds will look as goofy and jarring as the palamutes
PSA: Lagiacrus, Zinogre, and Brachy are getting re-issues of their Builder figures
How can they do water mons in Wilds? I haven't played the old games yet but it seems like everyone hated water combat.
Idk why people shit on water combat SO heavily, it's alright in my book.
And just do what Ivory Lagiacrus did, let them use their underwater abilities on land. Royal Ludroth was brought back completely unchanged despite being piss easy on land.
Which monsters get the HBG treatment in your hunts?
Who in the blazes plays Dark Souls with multiplayer?
Misanthropes
Game is actually easier solo, is why.
>multiplayer achievements
ah frick, I was planning on solo'ing everything but I guess I'm going to have to play multiplayer or use SAM
If you use the dodge mantle you didn't play the game
I love switch axe, and was surprised to learn that it's 9th place in popularity, out of 14 weapon types. I think most weapons carry a certain stigma or an idea of what the person behind the weapon might be like, but have found that switch axe users don't have a consistent characterization. What would you say the identity of a switch axe user is? Eg. Dual blades are weebs, Hammer mains only know one word and it's bonk, Charge blades are sweats who miss their big attacks
Switch Axe users join, don't say anything, explode a lot, and leave.
Endgame Iceborne? 90% of the time it's a mantle/ZSD spammer.
The frick is zsd?
Zero Sum Discharge. It's the move where the switchaxe user stabs their weapon into the monster and then latches into them for a few seconds and then explodes.
>slap my rod until it's red hot
>plung my length into the monster
>thrust until I explode out of the tip
Is ZSD rape?
>soaring wyvern blade
after you coom, you stick it right back in
Call me a shitter but wirestep is just so good I go with that instead
I dont want wirebug (nor wirefall or clutch claw/tenderize) back BUT they NEED to give some weapon stuff to work around cause they keep giving SA and CB cool stuff while other weapon are the same shit always
Having both complex weapons full of flashy shit and slow satisfying weapons is not a bad thing.
Not every weapon needs the same stuff.
yeah, have fun with a cool weapon while I keep doing the same shit, sooooo much fun
They 100% need to give the same invulnerability to every weapon, not just the anime ones
ib?
Shitter without selfrespect who will try to rocksteady and health regen everything without even bothering to learn fight
my vision of switch axe is adjacent to the Greatsword/Hammer Unga Bunga chads but even more mindless and simplistic. Being a transforming weapon naturally pulls them into comparison with the charge blade which makes the weapon look even more brainless by comparison.
They're still chads though, pretty based weapon
Switch Axe back in Tri days was basically just an LS user that launched you with their upswing instead of knocking you over with Spirit Slash spam. It's also how I basically see Axe mode on the Switch Axe anyways. Axe mode is just a slow longsword with satisfyingly meaty normals, and then sword mode functions like a GS in movespeed that actually spams its normals instead of charges. Over the years, it's certainly evolved a bit thanks to ZSD, though. But it's always been kind of a red-headed stepchild of the weapon roster outside of that.
I'd guess a part of why it's 9th in popularity is that it feels like a technical weapon with a complex moveset, but the reality is that the Switch Axe was a weapon made for ancient Wiitards back in the day, so the weapon is unsurprisingly braindead in actual function.
Is grinding SOS requests the fastest way to get the multiplayer cheevos?
I still have no clue why Akantor and Ukanlos aren't elder dragons
Because elder dragons are only monsters that can't be explained, power has nothing to do with it
How does one explain rathalos breathing fire?
glands and spicy food
Chili sauce during lunch.
frickin uhhhhhhhhh, phosphor on one side of its throat and whatever causes phosphor to make fire on the other side
Hey I wasnt far off!
Elder dragons are classified as a natural calamity rather than a creature. Ukanlos doesn't slaughter villages or change weather he just chills.
The hunt doesn't count because of the triple cart from SOS players
would it be beastiality to have sex with a wyverian?
would it be beastiality to have sex with a palico?
>rise is superior in gameplay
Nobody cares if you group for farming to save time. But if your first kill of a given monster wasn't solo then none of your kills of that monster ever count.
>No one says the hunt doesn't count because of my weapon
Actually it doesn't count if you were using a gunner weapon
Rise is superior to World if only because the "story" gets in the way far far less.
it's weird that World doesn't let you skip cutscenes
It does, with a mod.
>it's weird that World doesn't let you skip cutscenes
You couldn't skip story cutscenes in 4 either, I think it's just main team thing, they hate players
>you have 10 minutes alone with the khezunahole
>nobody will know you were there
What do you do?
DRAW TCS
Well it's got to be fed somehow
MH community is even more elitist than Dark Souls. You literally cannot say anything bad about the game, or it's a "skill issue".
Also it doesn't help that most of them suck dick at the game, and constantly cart/don't understand basic mechanics in MR. At least you can beat up bad players in Souls games, MH is purely co-op with morons.
Skill issue.
MH is single player m8
This fricking this, if you cart in SoS help or even slightly mess up the hunt, they get MAD
Monster hunter community is super thinned skinned, wrong gear? kicked, wrong setup? kicked
>Monster hunter community is super thinned skinned, wrong gear? kicked, wrong setup? kicked
Wasn't really a thing since world
>talking about MH with authority
>saying MR
pick one
Barioth is the best monster
Should I use the anime sword, 'ammer, or weird axe?
I really hope Malzeno comes back in Wilds so we can see his armor in next-gen definition
Hope no
He was too anime for monster hunter
i #returnedtoworld and immediately tried to wirefall when i got hit
it’s over for me, the brain rot has set in
Man Velk really is an annoying fricking b***h. He's such a pushover in Rise but he's so spergy in IB.
huh? isn’t he even slower in ib?
Im not going to use traps
Im not going to use flash pods
Im not going to use weapons with mechanics
I just hit the monster until it dies get out of here with your virgin shit
Go play MHFU and see how that goes for you
Nta but I made it to kirin playing like that. I wasn't able to ever kill it in time though so I got filtered.
I'm okay with using all of those things but transformer weapons are stupid.
Hi Assmongled
Jesus Rise really does have Nintendo 64 graphics
i want to put my dango in yomogi
but the hunt DOESN'T count because of multiplayer
I'm so fricking tired of flying monsters holy shit.
I skipped Iceborne, finally started it. People weren't kidding about the clutch claw, how did this get past play testing?
The best explanation I can come up with is that they were desperate to make the slinger relevant.
I just wish it didn't ruin the natural pace of hunts. SnS at least makes tenderizing easy with claw uppercut but wallbanging and tenderizing feels like a chore.
I was going to give SnS a pass in IB since PR spams seemed boring after Sunbreak, but I think I'm going to come back to it if it makes Clutch Claw less tedious.
If you claw uppercut onto a monster it counts as half a tenderize or whatever they give normal light weapon tenderizing attacks. You can then either do the normal tenderize animation to finish it or drop off and then claw onto it again on the same spot to finish it. Perfect Rush spam is pretty repetitive but it's still tricky to pull off a backhop dodge while using it and keep it going, can mix it up by doing close attacks and then backhop into Perfect Rush.
I love the MafuMofu armor so much, it's unreal
why did they get rid of blademaster/gunner armor? why does everyone use the same looking sets? i'd use hbg or lbg more if i could look like this.
Streamlining I guess, cut back on the amount of stuff to craft/farm. That said we lost a lot of great designs, and I'll always miss rathian gunner armor
You guys always say it's so there's less stuff foe the player to have to make, but it is definitely to cut back on the amount of armors the teams have to make now that the series has gone HD with its graphics
If you actually played games, you wouldn't ask such moronic question
Do you remember skills on 4 gunner armor? 80% of sets actually made your character WEAKER than being naked
yeah but at least you looked cool
Because if you don't have two versions of each set, you can instead have twice as many sets.
It is notable that while World reduced the number of weapon models, it didn't really reduce the number of armor models. Certainly not with Iceborne.
>it didn't really reduce the number of armor models
No,recolors don't count as different armor models
now compare alpha to beta you moron
LR and HR armor isn't even a fricking recolour in 4u you disingenuous homosexual.
You're also forgetting that Iceborne changed beta sets to be were almost all completely different models.
I miss the environmental status effects
Because droves of secondaries will defend their baby tier game to the grave
gunlance
Gunlance
GUNLANCE
Chuckle at all the tryhard peasants around you getting carted while monster attacks bounce off your impenetrable shield.
Laugh at the virgin incels as they autistically spend a year "Prepping" for combat with oils and other assorted gimmicks so their 15 minute long combo can do as much damage as you can shit out without even paying attention.
Guffaw as the casual peasants are unable to get all the parts and weak spot themselves while your weapon can both cut and smash.
Lmao as the losers around you bounce their weapons off monsters when your shelling literally cannot be deflected by anything in the game.
Bask in the Aura of being the only weapon both powerful enough and shielded enough you can do everything in the game solo.
When are they going to add a weapon that's just an axe? No gimmick shit, just a big axe.
Just use an axe shaped gs or hammer.
It's not the same.
Trailer made me worry that 6th gen won't have a new weapon either
or even worse
New weapon will be range one
Medium Bowgunners, it's our time to shine again!
I'm looking forward to Tiny Bowgun
they need to add a literal homing missile launcher. extremely slow, extremely high damage
>dual bowpistols
nah, thats the new trap
when the monster is limping you call your bird and shot a net on the monster with that gun
>you can play as wyverian
>wyverian can use magic
kino
I like World the most because it looks the prettiest and has lots of minor details to the world, animations and interactions that make it feel more real than the other ones 🙂
gay
I remember MHW elitists mocking players for using Vitality and anti-stun israeliteels
I don't, but I have seen people get shit on for going full earplug and DPS queens use DPS trackers to shit on people
>joined a Furious Rajang SoS
>beating the shit out of him, one cart from the host, no big deal
>FR moves to different zone
>host says "rajang at 46%"
>immediately leave hunt
Frick cheaters.
Nice frick cheaters
>on a multiple monster hunt
>tell them not to cap because it's for b***hes
>they cap anyways
>2nd monster they try to cap again
>kick all of them and waste a bunch of their time
Based. It's Monster HUNTER, not Monster Capturer.
>just mashes and facetanks through the entire game without even using 80% of the games mechanics
none of it counts
Is he still walled by the dragon everyone here wants to frick for some reason?
He cheesed a fair bit thanks to never exploring the palico support outside of vigorwasp, but he also failed to really learn the cheesier things like wallbangs and mantles.
After struggling a lot with Glavinus he actually learned to use shoulder tackle in his moveset and had to get gud against Velkhana.
I really did hope he would have stopped using the palico because he should have failed several quests due to sloppiness and greed.
He did rate the game 10/10 though and didn't hold his failings against the game and wants to do the postgame stuff.
>He did rate the game 10/10
Anon, he rates everything that mass media loves 10/10, and hates everything that community hates
He got bitten into ass by it more than once because people change their opinions fast about things
>didn't cought the moster using DK Bongo Bongos
You did NOT beat the game!
I'm pretty sure the whole "you didn't beat the game" debacle has an origin point in Monster Hunter, specifically MHFU because I remember back when the game was released, there were elitist hunters on GameFAQs who complained that you didn't beat a hunt if you used traps or flashbombs, and it even extended to using heals.
It's using cats that really got people steamed.
hunt
>>Fire SOS
how bad are you
>play online
>3x higher chance of failing quest
>90% chance the other players are moronic
>monster health is scaled up to account for more morons in the room
>have to deal with aggro not constantly on you
multiplayer is unironically harder than solo
Hammer bros sharing the same braincell is always fun.
those rolls at the end remind me of that webm with the basketball team that turns perfectly in sync
If a hammer doesn't work, use more hammer.
should I be doing multiplayer? i only play solo and don't join up with others, are there benefits besides having fun with friends?
Do tempered monsters have a set scaling to them, like 1.25x value or is it just "it's got more health and attack, figure it out"?
Souls is literally babby's first challenging videogame. Particularly for zoomers. So for them, any way of playing the games that diminishes the difficulty (co-op, magic/projectile focused, overleveling, using broken gear or whatever) is verboten. It's like a sacrilege.
Monster Hunter is a challenging game, but it has always been designed and viewed as a family friendly title. It's one of the most common games that literal middle/highschoolers play together with friends after school in Japan. The challenge is there as a way to encourage different players to work together in co-op to overcome the challenge and have fun while doing so.
When can you tell if a quest is "okay" to join? Not trying to join newbie quests or anything but sometimes I see a person post a quest near my HR/MR rank but get booted right after joining and am not sure if there's some etiquette I'm missing.
>but get booted right after joining
Could be the result of mods. Something that autoboots you or the quest poster is doing something to auto boot you. Like maybe they dont like your weapon so they kick you upon loading.
Could just be annoying gays
>Like maybe they dont like your weapon
I play Gunlance, does that matter?
Only if the host doesnt like lower damage weapons.
The triple cart rule being universal makes it so that firing the sos can be just as risky to yourself as to anyone else.
why do we hunt
a hoonter must hoont
It's cheaper than drugs.
The open map, fleet palamute, slinger at your wrist, and spiribirds in your hair.
Your heart says it Anon, you just aren't listening
I dont get why did Crapcom randomly decide to shill World? Shits outdated compared to Rise wouldnt them shilling the newest game be smarter for them?
Mainline threads into mainline. Wouldn't be surprised if they had a #Risetohunt hashtag campaign later, though.
where do you think all those new world players are going to go after they beat it?
Considering right now most of streamers are from elden ring? Back to souls games more likely
this is cope. even asbestosmold said he's probably going to play rise too.
See
World and Iceborne are objectively 10/10 games. Rise is probably more like a 6/10.
Rise is the first 5th gen mainline. Rise is MH5 and its successor on switch 2 will be the start of 6th gen
Because it's an objectively better game which is far better for drawing in new people because any reasonable person can look at rise and tell it's cheap mobile trash.
Wilds takes place in the New World and has mechanics like the scoutflies and slinger, as visible in the trailer. They are promoting World because it will prepare players for the next game more than Rise will, they're establishing expectations and squeezing even more money out of a 5 year old game.
I thought about it, and I think that it also can help them measure potential number of PS5 players
Because no one wants to play a switch game.
Rise sold at a faster rate than MHW on a single console so apparently people do.
What kind of cope is this? MHW is Capcom's highest selling game of all time.
>g rank game added different versions of armor to old monsters
>World gays praise it as something new and innovate
>alpha and beta armors were only in Iceborne
You're a disingenuous homosexual.
Because people with low self-confidence find excuses and bullshit to pump themselves up, and playing a stupid video game isn't that difficult compared to every other activity on earth. Those low-confidence gamers then poke fun at everyone in their low-tier hobby to build artificial self-confidence by putting others down. For some reason, their brain believes hurting others raises them up, which is a thinking error we will address at another time. It might spawn from an authority figure like a mother or father constantly putting them down, so they believe putting people down is what grants power or that is how power is held?
Watch some fat idiot claim more skill than pic related.
Killing Fatalis solo in IB is harder than that sportslop
your dad should have nutted you into the toilet
imagine your dad's face when he's cumming you out of his wiener. ugggh SON YOU ARE WIGGLING YOUR LITTLE CUM TAIL DOWN MY URETHRA UUUUUGGGGGHHHH
Because the game is pathetically easy in all of it's required content. The only challenging thing is the uber scaling tedious bosses with giga healthpools at the furthest possible endgame point. So no one cares if a person in iceborne gear is clearing your monsters 5 minutes faster than you normally would for you.
Fatalis was harder than any AT fight, cope
>GSgays like to constantly harp on how difficult their weapon is
>the bald moron literally effortlessly clears the game with it while never using tackle, slinger burst, or proper tcs wakeups
GSgays should rope, it is literally playing MH on easy mode
Should 6th gen remove sharpness as a whole, or only decrease mechanic?
>Should 6th gen remove sharpness as a whole, or only decrease mechanic?
niether, its literally fine as it is
No, it's not
Even asmongold said it was shit mechanic
and his opinion matters because?
>literally made World popular again
>His opinion doesn't matter
you realized he jumped on the bandwagon right? world was already spiking again before he started playing
This
reply solidified the moronation. I was going to respond to this asmon-sucking anon with some advice on blindly listening to streamers that play the same game an unhealthy amount, so their opinions are objectively flawed and skewed to shit, but that anon is so mentally moronic or drunk, that they won't bother reading or comprehending any of it. It was funny at first, but this idiot is so mentally fricked they legit think a WoW streamer made MHWorld popular, even though Capcom released a trailer for a new MH game.
You just mad because he agreed that rise visuals and gameplay doesn't look good compared to world
>You just mad because he agreed that rise visuals and gameplay doesn't look good compared to world
He has never played Rise and neither have you. You have never played World either, let alone any MH game you just get your opinions from your bald streamer daddy. Rise was a great game and only secondaries who've never played it but get their opinions from other people and youtubers hate it.
>r-rise is good because uh... tiddy mods!
Explain in detail what is wrong with Rise that is not also true of World.
I'm not part of the debate.
Wyverians have gross dog feet.
Simple as.
Dango
>picture from 3d porn
>you need to play game to know it's shit
No
And if you look at this thread, most of people agree with Asmongold takes
>And if you look at this thread, most of people agree with Asmongold takes
Samegayging discord troons are not people
Also not an argument.
ugly dog foot subhuman
anon why are you arguing with the discord trannies this close to thread archiving
well if a moronic streamer hates it then it definitely should stay.
>Even asmongold said it was shit mechanic
Is this supposed to mean something?
Every weapon should have a specific upkeep mechanic, whether it's sharpness or some other thing.
For the larger weapons you could just replace sharpness with increased stamina usage and you'd have to actually eat a well done steak, and skills couldn't get around that.
Gunlance can bring back the heat meter. Combined with shelling it's already got upkeep. Same thing for weapons that use phials.
Bug stick can just make you feed the bug mid hunt or something, maybe switch out kinsects on the fly.
Sword and shield can bring back oil and make it necessary.
Hammer never made sense to sharpen in the first place so again it can just eat through stamina. Or maybe have its moveset lean more into slinger burst and slinger combos so you need to focus on gathering and reloading those.
hammer literally already has upkeep mechanics, charging burns stamina and in world power charge has to be kept up
>charging burns stamina
not in rise it doesn't, for some reason they cut it down to a fraction of what it usually does.
no one cares about rise
I like Somnacanth
It's just the kind of monster that is cancer to fight but fun to bully with skills that prevent their gimmick.
Why does the Hammer have sharpness?
Gameplay balance and nothing else.
they should just call it something else and give it a different animation
They should do something about bowguns then, they seem way imbalanced.
You need to sharpen the handle, to get the blood flowing, so you can really feel the unga bunga spirits calling out to you.
This is some blatant bullshit, people complain about ranged and LS all the time
>Buy game off CD Keys
>Accidentally bought 2
>Had to refund the whole thing
Did I already have it in my cart before and didn't remember it was there? And how long do I gotta wait til my money gets refunded?
>The reason there's a war between World and Rise is because World was on PS4 and Rise on the Switch
This website fricking blows, imagine caring about console wars still when consoles haven't made good games since the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii days.
Straight men aka PC players know that World is superior in almost every way.
Except having good monsters which Iceborne managed to fix somewhat.
Honestly yea I wish it had a better roster. It just needed better monsters and better weapon designs.
>skippable cutscenes
>not having to see the cutscene to play mulitplayer
>remove tenderizing (everything else clutch claw added was fine)
>better weapon designs
>a slightly better roster
IB would have been perfect if they could have done all this
>IB fixes the roster
>IB adds clutch claw
It was mixed.
For all the new member of the 5th fleet welcome, for those of you who are going to be craving more MH after you playthrough Iceborne sadly you'll have to wait for Wilds to come out for a proper sequel. Rise was clearly hafl-baked in an attempt to squeeze switchtards dry with an inferior product.

>this is what worldbabbies value in a game
holy reddit
Yea these small details are cool.
Monsters abiding by the non-aggression principle is neat and kind of funny.
Yes it's called attention to detail I like that monsters actually act like real animals and have neutral or passive states.
nobody cares about this. you probably like snoy games homosexual.
I do
Most of animals see anyone as a thread though
Especially apex predators
I like when the little monsters aggro the hunter when I'm trying to mine for ore or dig through bones. Lets me get a taste of what it's like to be on the receiving end of a little shit being an butthole.
I think this could have to do with the idea of new world monsters having never seen humans before, while old world monsters know humans are dangerous
Anon, animals are always wary of shit they never saw before
Also elder dragons come from old world there to die
It's pretty obvious that Crapcom didn't care about the pocket MH.
>try HBG
>have literally no idea what im doing and hunts take 40~ minutes now
Why is the game so bad at explaining weapon usage?
>failing to understand fricking HBG
SHOOT THE MONSTER
My bullets do barely 3 damage.
>playing the game on easy mode
>still fricking it up
There is literally no weapon tutorial in the game.
That small arena with button prompts does not count.
>the place designed for freely testing your weapons doesn't count
This game is too hard for you. Might I suggest The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?
Nah, i'll just go back to great sword.
>There is literally no weapon tutorial in the game
>weapon combinations and possible combos take half of screen in World by default, and it even changes depenging on your current attack for easier combos
moronic world falsefalgger
combinations and possible combos take half of screen in World by default
homie you playin on 480p?
rise was literally made for you
The secret is to bind ammo crafting to the wheel menu. Also critical distance, that's kind of important.
Unironically watch a guide. No, really. It's one of the most complex weapons for beginners to use with all of the customization and specific ammo types.
I got stuck with armor progression. Do i need to advance more in the main quest or something to get better items?
bro you, just, craft new gear sets?
Hunt more monsters, make NEW armor, don't just pump spheres into your old shit.
Oh, shit, you mean forge armor. The first time i took a look at that there was nothing, now i have more sets. I have wasted all my spheres in that crappy one thinking it would unlock better stats or something.
Pick up optional quests from the resource center. You'll have more armor spheres than you know what to do with.
It's a multiplayer game. The best encounters are explicitly designed for a full team. Kulve Taroth siege, for example.
>reinstall world to finally finish iceborne
>instantly walled by butthole nergigante in the tiny arena
FRICK
Walled how? The upper edge of the arena is a slope, abuse it for mounts.
>mounting, wallbang, flash pods
I haven't even started Iceborne even though I bought it because I wanted to finish every vanilla quest without any Iceborne stuff but then I got lazy and didn't do that and haven't gone back to the game.
I assume everyone has at least hunted the objective solo once. I only join Flares for monster I have killed solo multiple times.

I love Hunting Horn so much its unreal
These artbooks are awesome. Check out the Fatalis gear in the bottom there, it's like the crimson/white armor but with original colors
amazing
Hunting stygian zinogre alone is literal cancer holyshit
It's not even me carting, b***h just zooms arround like it's on cocaine
You mean Rajang? Zinogre is a fat and slow b***h. Muscle Monkey is the coked up fiend.
What weapon?
hoping they tone down the story(if there is any) in wilds, story in world and rise was bad
Environmental story telling is best.
is it wrong if I basically wait until I can make absolute endgame weapons before trying something outside of my comfort zone?
If you're having fun with your main, you do you. I tend to get bored far sooner and want to use up some of the excess monster materials. Plus I see people making memes with other weapons and I want to join in.
well i've only really toyed with db's (primary, went pretty much only holy sabers route through xeno), and a shattercryst for easy pig hunting once I worked out how to cheese it.
making weapons in world is such a pain that I don't even bother doing it. fine with my tigrex hammer
Is this sped-up? Or is there a skill I'm missing that makes hammer charge super fast?
focus speeds up charging
