Well good for you. Mine doesnt. I've had my OG 3DS since day 1 and i need to plug it in now if i plan to pay for more than a hour. Sleep mode won't last past a day.
While I loved the feature, it was lame that you couldn't hold more than 10 streetpass entries. I felt moronic pulling out the 3ds to mash through them all so I could get more
saw a guy playing on a 3DS in the train yesterday. wished i had my 3DS with me to get streetpasses again. i never had the chance to back then because i live in the middle of nowhere and i was scared of loosing it on the go so i completely missed out on all of that. ill start taking it with me from now on, hoping someone else will too
I remember some guy added my friend through near and he joined in randomly when we were in a party chat. He seemed like he was on some kinda drugs or something but it was fun talking to him, it was cool to meet a local vita user besides my friend.
I fricking loved Near. It was so cool to see what my neighbors and even people in my city were playing. FRICK I love the Vita like you wouldn't believe.
there are people including zoomers calling it a retro right now, not helping that scalping homosexuals pulled everything from the market during the coof
and pretty much the eshop will be inside an ICU until March
Not to mention there is that risk of games getting delisted at any minute. Fricking Plant vs Zombie vanished few weeks ago for god sake.
I totally can see level 5 games to be next
The 3DS was kind of shit objectively speaking. It had a pretty weak exclusive library and the 3D gimmick was moronic. However the emulation capabilities are god tier and it has basically replaced my phone for games. I really hope Nintendo doesn't completely give up on the DS/Game Boy since I forgot how much I enjoyed having a handheld until I hacked my 3DS, but it'll probably have a ton of piracy protection to stop a 3DS 2.0 situation unfortunately. If I could have a handheld that can emulate games up to Gen 5 consistently I'd be happy.
>find my old 3DS >turn it on for the first time in 10 years >browsing the menus >see there is a camera app >open it to see if there is anything there >find some pictures of me and younger bro
>found a bunch of my high school pictures i took for face raiders >deleted all of them without a second thought
Those people can live on in my Streetpass plaza.
>live in the middle of bumfrick nowhere with 3ds, don't commute, get like 1 streetpass hit per 6 months >go to tokyo in 2017, get like 40 hits per day
and that was at the tail end of the 3ds lifespan after the switch had released, i can't imagine what it was like when the 3ds was at its hottest.
No. Your battery only lasts an hour now if at all and it's impossible to replace it at a reasonable price now.
what the frick are you taking about?
mine still lasts for 6 hours or more?
Well good for you. Mine doesnt. I've had my OG 3DS since day 1 and i need to plug it in now if i plan to pay for more than a hour. Sleep mode won't last past a day.
The Switch Pro controller uses the same battery as the OG 3DS IIRC
Mine lasts days in sleep mode
Nintendo sells them.
link for where to buy in europe?
do they not ship to europe? https://www.nintendo.com/en-ca/store/products/battery-pack-rsoc-103975/
dunno of any european link
just checked, they don't ship to europe
lmao, what an absolute garbage company.
lmao, what an absolute garbage [s]company[/s] continent.
Get a Chinese battery, they are better than nothing. Or play plugged in.
Sorry bro, I'm not going to any gaming events. But you'll always be my most favorite toilet companion.
BING BING WAHOO
Switch should have had streetpass. No excuse. Reeeeeeee
While I loved the feature, it was lame that you couldn't hold more than 10 streetpass entries. I felt moronic pulling out the 3ds to mash through them all so I could get more
This
Didn't they update it towards the end of its life to have more?
yes..........but by then the switch was pretty much out so no one gave a frick
If only they pushed it in 2015
Why would a homeconsole need a streetpass?
Switch is a handheld, silly.
saw a guy playing on a 3DS in the train yesterday. wished i had my 3DS with me to get streetpasses again. i never had the chance to back then because i live in the middle of nowhere and i was scared of loosing it on the go so i completely missed out on all of that. ill start taking it with me from now on, hoping someone else will too
No, you never had any games so I'll stick to PSP.
>doesn't let you use if you're under 18
>grow up
>try it
>nobody uses it and they disable it because it's dead
Nice work Sony
oh, was this a streetpass knowoff on vita? didnt know this existed
Basically that and some gps thing to tell you what games were popular where you lived and add users with similar games as friends IIRC
>Vita
>Games
No wonder it didn't last
Why didnt they let people under 18 use it?
Going off
it was probably the same reason Nintendo killed swapnote and Pictochat, afraid pedos would use it or that fox news would accuse them of being enablers
I remember some guy added my friend through near and he joined in randomly when we were in a party chat. He seemed like he was on some kinda drugs or something but it was fun talking to him, it was cool to meet a local vita user besides my friend.

Too bad Snoy hated its existance
Take the homebrew pill bros I will never go back
I miss all the music and unique shit the old Nintendo consoles had, the Switch is souless as frick.
How many years from now until the 3ds is classified as a retro system?
2031
there are people including zoomers calling it a retro right now, not helping that scalping homosexuals pulled everything from the market during the coof
>picked up new 2DS XL a while back
>for whatever reason, the right speaker is just not working anymore
>the audio now is complete dogshit
Frick me
Nintendo still does repairs on the New models, send it in while you still can
any version of the 2ds has shitty speakers
its why it was so cheap
Reminder there is only 2 weeks left to add funds to the eshop via gift card
Easily circumventable if you own a Switch with linked accounts
or if you're a pirate
and pretty much the eshop will be inside an ICU until March
Not to mention there is that risk of games getting delisted at any minute. Fricking Plant vs Zombie vanished few weeks ago for god sake.
I totally can see level 5 games to be next
i've been playing my 3DS a lot recently and there's still a bunch of games I want to get from the eShop before it closes like Boxboy and HarmoKnight
What do I do about the gummy cap on the left pad falling off?
I assume it was once glued in place but its super loose and occassionally slips off now
You can replace circle pads pretty easy by opening up the system
The pad itself isnt broken just the little gummy hood that goes over it
What's your favourite eShop game?
Flipnote 3D
I have literally not touched my 3DS since 2017. The last things I played on it was Etrian Odyssey and Pokemon.
That thing's got a lithium battery, right? I should probably go make sure it hasn't turned into a grenade or something in the last 5 years.
Gaming Events?
I'm sorry 3DS-chan but Citra is superior in every way, I can't play Monster Hunter without the HD texture packs now
Citra isn't comfy though. 3DS is.
Not for MH, I got cramps playing it on 3DS. I'll use the actual console when I play DQ7 soon though
that's fair enough mate. i only played the demo to MH4U despite having the actual game and i totally get what you mean.
It's a shame because the design of MH suits handhelds really well but the controls don't at all, even on Switch GU and Rise feel a bit shitty to play
citra is full of visual bugs and slowdowns for games that aren't just pokeymans
citra is quite possibly the worst emulator every developed up there with pcsx2.
>can't even play the best 3ds game
>not portable
>no Quest 2 port for 3D
Meh
Can't decide what 2DS XL I want to get. Help bros
>Pokeball 2DS XL
>Pikachu 2DS XL
>Animal Crossing 2DS XL
Fantasy Life digital or physical?

Can't run 5th gen games at any acceptable quality. It's OK but it's definitely not god tier.

I didnt need these feels today

I found photos of my late dog.

Heard about some guys maxing out the 3Ds when they went there.
