ALWAYS look up a game on PCGW: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home especially for older titles.
even 'broken' games usually have great community fixes.

just emulate ff8 and 9, brother. ps1 emulation is pretty much solved.
Emulate FF and Chrono Trigger. Buy all the other DMCs rather than DmC if you haven't yet. Buy Danganronpa and Zero Escape rather than AI if you haven't yet.
>Danganronpa and Zero Escape
AI is better
>Emulate FF and Chrono Trigger.
Emulation gets me no mods, dropped chrono trigger cuz it's ass tho
>Buy all the other DMCs rather than DmC if you haven't yet
Already played all the others, give me one good reason why I shouldn't buy DmC
>Emulation gets me no mods
anon, have you never used deltapatcher?
There is no reason. I just said all the DMCs you can buy are better than DmC. By all means buy it if you want. Also Chrono Trigger is not ass.
Kinda impressive to have a shit take on all three points, why bother posting your cart? Just to be contrarian?
ai is on game pass and you may as well play it there (but if you're stubborn, it's definitely worth the money if you like ace attorney, danganronpa, or 999), and those last 3 emulate well so you may as well just save your money and do that
If you ABSOLUTELY have to play DmC despite all warnings then pirate it. Don't throw that money away.
DmC is a bad game, the only game I ever got free on here because not even the bots wanted it, that and bad rats lol but that's probably because some anon bought like 20 bad rat keys
how's trouble shooter run? is it well optimized like VC4?
I never figured out what was wrong. It ended up working fine on my system, but not my wife's and we have near identical builds. Maybe I'm moronic. The game is fun regardless. It's a weird XCOM and Persona mashup
It ran on my old PC with a 1060, and a 3570k.
I'm on a 1050ti with an 8750. guess I'll give it a shot.

newbie
Thought about getting Conan a second time for a friend to play it in coop. What's everyone thinking?
Anyone?
all i'll offer you is that he'll probably feel obligated to play with you at least a bit, so just ask yourself if he'll probably really like it for more than social obligation. If the answer's yes, a 10 dollar gift to a friend is like having a coffee and a snack and covering the tab, it's not excessive if that's your worry.
Bros what do I drop/add?
xenoblade is 50% off now
demon souls the port fricking sucks
drop fft. you can just emulate the psp version which is what's on steam. valkyria chronicles is a steal right now at $6.
ebin
how the frick do you have red dead redemption 1 on your list, that game's not even on steam or pc.
Get b8ed moron most of those games aren't on Steam.
drooling rn and shitting myself
It's okay anon. Go get a change of clothes.
Anon...
I really hate that split second of excitement and joy I get every time I see this image.
Since the sale is almost over, what games should I have in the next cart bait image for the winter sale?
Gravity Rush, Bayonetta 2, Viewtiful Joe
>Viewtiful Joe
That's not fricking nice anon
add the removed platinum games transformer game
that'll surely make people confused
i fricking thought they added Demon's Souls to steam until i realized that this pic was fake
you dirty b***h
Made me look :^)
What the frick when did FFT appear on Steam?
It's not that Discord
TfZqATt
Do not join to be a douche, beg for free games, anything that you wouldn't do if your Grandma was watching.
So its a discord literally to beg for free games?
Nope. I was just giving away the Humble Bundle shit I didn't want to a few discords I frequent.
I got GTAV for free on EGS, and found it extremely meh. A decade ago it would've entertained me, but now it seems really basic and repetitive. probably not worth it.
Never played a Valkyrie game, but I wishlisted this asap. Looks sweet and the main chick is wife-tier.
>Never played a Valkyrie game, but I wishlisted this asap. Looks sweet and the main chick is wife-tier.
Excellent bait. I'm actually mad.
Where can I pirate Rocksmith and dlcs?
use google gay.
I did and it just wants to empower black women
Drop all of them. wait for the new Valkyrie Profile game to drop

I bought Fallout 4 the other day, what a boring piece of crap.
I thought it was going to be amusingly bad but it's just boring, cut and paste world and design, game was clearly rushed.
play xenon racer, i need some anons to play online with. futuristic arcade racer that's 90% off

Sell me on it
Should I? Should I?
None of this is bad, but Fable gets really boring and I have found Condemned to be incredibly overrated and lacking in replay value
Maybe I should just drop Condemned then. I've read it's shit broke too and requires a ton of fixes
>lobotomy corporation is pretty grindy
I'm looking for something grindy, so perfect for me
Condemned was great when it came out, for that price I wouldn't drop it. I got it working pretty easily a few months ago.
lobotomy corporation is pretty grindy. not saying you shouldn't; just letting u know
I wish they would bring Condemned 2 Bloodshot to Steam
I played it on PS3 and fricking loved it, but I dont have a PS3 anymore.
ps3 emulation has made many leaps and strides, anon. give it a shot.
good cart, didn't like lobotomy but if you saw it and think you will like it you probably will and don't forget to check the discussion for condemned for direct x

Need more
Very solid, I'd pull the trigger if I were you that's a lotta games you're gonna have to play.
any reason why I should or shouldnt get Atom RPG?
Just get it in the humble monthly bundle instead, you can also get deep rock galactic and necromunda hired gun. Those are the only good games in the bundle though but it's still worth it
yeah surprisingly good bundle this month, though everyone should already have DRG by now
No reason you shouldn't unless you really can't stand eurojank at all, it was great
That looks to be just the sequel to Atom RPG in that bundle, not the first one, unless I'm missing something.
I liked Atom's gameplay a lot, it was EXTREMELY familiar to playing fallout 1 and 2 in many respects while not some mindless copy. Same setup with an overworld map, exploration/hubs, core gameplay, everything. I think if you liked either of those, you'll definitely like Atom and have no problem being a pro at the gameplay.
Notably though, I weirdly can't remember ever playing it fully through to the end, so I feel like I must have always gotten bored at some part? The runs I've done were always very fun though, and you can make a few types of valid builds for sure, it wasn't too punishing like how games like Underrail will rape you if you don't have an optimal build, I think I'd call the required build complexity equal to like fallout 2. It's just weird because I REALLY fricking love this game in terms of some of its atmosphere and just... something about all the little encounters or people you meet, so idk why I haven't really ever completed a campaign.
In fact a lot like fallout 2, it has that kind of wide breadth of going to lots of distinct areas and dealing with people/factions there, and a lot of the pop culture references, it's generally pretty enjoyable to just meet weird people or see weird shit both in encounters and specific hubs.
Only got 1 dollars out of 10. Asked for 4 refunds. I need to get those before the sale ends.
Does anyone know of any games similar to Super Life RPG? I know it's casual as frick but I enjoy games where you start from nothing, get jobs, build your way up to the top, level up your skills along the way and so on. Also reccomendations for anything Zelda like would be welcome, currently playing through Eternal Edge which is janky but relaxing.
Fantasy Life on 3DS
good or trash?
I enjoyed it, although I paid next to nothing for it. I would recommend mods though that make Kal look less like a zoomer, and a mod that adds a helmet to the black chick. Oh and EA didn't do shit for optimization or decent settings. I had most settings on Medium because I honestly couldn't tell the difference between that and anything higher.
For 10 bucks its good
It's okay. I kinda hate that it's a soulslike, and I think it could have been a much better game if it wasn't
Really good for a souls-like. Some of the levels are dumb
How is Metal Wolf Chaos XD?
>XD
Back to rebbit
it's the name of the game
anon got troled XD

Frick off
it's good
I have around 25$ left
Is Dyson Sphere Program worth the price?
Is Pathfinder Kingmaker dlc necessary?
Is Grim Dawn base game enough or is dlc required?
Is Battle Brothers dlc good?
Yes
Yes
DLC absolutely a must
Also a must
grim dawn base game is enough; dlcs are always overpriced.
my question - is overload (base game) worth it? 5.99 is a bit rich for me and the company is already disbanded. already decided to ditch dlcs since they're just community maps and don't add to the game. don't need the soundtrack either. thanks.
I have $10.20 left of my steam cash left. I need suggestions on how to spend it.
Pavlov VR base game playable characters are ONLY WHITE! Almost all custom workshop map playable characters are ONLY WHITE!
Most populated VR multiplayer shooter.
Base game modes include: Search and Destroy, classic CounterStrike; Deathmatch, no surprise here; Team Deathmatch, no surprise here; Trouble in Traitor Town, Traitors are secretly marked to kill innocents and innocents survive traitor betrayal; Hunt, catch a super disturbing invisibility freak; Prop Hunt, assume appearing as one of the map props or hunt those hiding as props; Gun, score one kill with each gun.
Weapon sets include modern and World War two. World war two includes tanks.
Pavlov is the best VR game all around.
there are games that may do some things better, but all around Pavlov has them beat. And the custom content is insane:
SCP
PropHunt
Cod Zombies
Halo Zombies
Zombie Ecape (yes Mako reactor is fully in with the custom bosses in as well)
Dark RP
TTT
The Hidden
Etc...
But if you wan the most immersive VR game get, "Into the Radius" it is by far the best immersive single player long form game in VR as of right now.
Skyrim is good but you have to get about 150+ mods to make it into a modern VR game.
Fallout 4 VR is still a shit vr and doesn't have the modding scene like Skyrim VR to make it work.
Don't forget that RE 2, RE 3, RE7 and RE8 are all full vr experiences with mods that unlock the vr features for PC.
Also my best purchase this summer was Bannerlord.
I am going to get the Mount and Blade VR type game. All the review I saw are good and in depth on why they like it.
going to love playing more VR games when my Kat walk C 2+ gets here.
Are the two Cherry Tree High games fun to play, because I know they're getting delisted after this Summer sale, but it doesn't doesn't look good.
Give me some more party based stuff like Divinity and Pathfinder, I like going on adventures with bros and seeing characters develop or reveal different sides of themselves
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
I bought both Utawarerumono sequels and Caligula Effect 2.
repostan from previous thread
any recommendations based on these?
ive completely exhausted my favorite genre, WRPGs. all i can do is wait for starfield.
i enjoyed valheim, obra dinn, night in the woods.
not a huge strategy gamer but i played the shit out of the entire xcom franchise
mh rise is already on my list, beat mhw thoroughly
maybe get stanley parable?
i was kind of in the mood for a comfy build shit and decorate thing because valheim, fallout 4, minecraft gave me autism for that but i wanted something where you could do that but also have it be populated by npcs that you could interact with and they actually do shit and make it feel alive... but i also dont care for the 2D of stardew valley or the shallow npcs or mechanics of stuff like animal crossing
If you want to complete your "frick it it's $2" list.
You could get Fishing Vacation, a really short and simple but quite comfy game boy style horror game.
I also saw some people recommending Titan Chaser. I still didn't have the time to play it, it looks interesting.
Any good arcade racers?
Never played a Resident Evil game in my life. Which one should I go with?
RE1 remake and then RE2&RE3make+REOnline have a bundle. Go with those. It should be about $30
1 and 4 are classics.
0 is a mixed bag for some people but if you like 1 you'll probably like 0.
2 is a good remake.
Don't bother with 3 at its current price. It's extremely short which is why they tacked on a multiplayer component that they don't even support. Dollars to donuts you'll see a bigger discount relatively soon.
I wouldn't bother with Village at the moment since Gold Edition is coming out in October.
In the bundle it's $23 for both RE2&RE3 tho. You could say RE2 was $16 and RE3 was $7. I don't think RE3 will be going for $7 any time soon.
>I don't think RE3 will be going for $7 any time soon.
RE3 is likely to dip in October because of the aforementioned release of Village Gold Edition and RE:Verse, yet another attempt at a Capcom multiplayer game that will make RE:Resistance irrelevant (as if it weren't already). Deep discounts on all RE properties at that time is highly likely.
Yeah. Ultimately I would just say hold off on RE8 and RE4 since they are getting new releases soon.
I would say start with the first one but it is a bit clunky compared to other remakes so you can't judge them all based on it. Re7 is a decent entry poit too. It probably requires the least knowledge of the previous games but it is quite different from the others. It's also the prequel to re8 which I think is the best one. Re2 remake is also solid and it was a lot of newer players entry into the series.
>re8 which I think is the best one.
Ooh hot take. Why do you think that's the best one?
RE Remake is amazing. Enjoy - you're in for a ride!
RE1 remake is what everyone should start with I'd reckon because it's more or less the magnum opus of the series. RE1 and RE4 are the two big ones, some people start with RE2 remake because the former is lacking in modern design and may take a bit to "click." If you get all 3 of the aforementioned games you really can't go wrong.
RE 6 and the Revs are excellent for nude mods
Get RE1 and RE2, see if the first one is for you (which has an acquired taste), if not then go straight for RE2, which is more accessible.
>all the games i want are cheaper on ebay than steam and are all physical versions too which i could resell and will gain value
Grim.
if you buy from steam you lose your soul and become a unit flee now
Dumb frogposter.
GOG summer sale when
GOG always have their sales just before steam
You missed it by like a month. They even gave away games.
I spent 200 dollars and then turned off my computer and proceeded to play skyrim on my switch
You did the right choice anon. Remember to pre-order Starfield.
Iron Lung, anyone? Looks interesting but I'd like to hear if anyone has played it.
Also, get Nosferatu: Wrath of Malachi, it's not a dollar.
iron lung has soul, worth a shot if you haven't already spoiled it
How's Sleeping Dogs? Kinda burnt out on open-world games but I like John Woo/The Raid type shit
It's great.
Fantastic game but I recommend playing it when you're not burnt out on the genre.
It's bad but cheap enough to get some enjoyment out of how janky it is
It's great but ONLY if you're not burnt out on the genre. Reason being is that while it's got some great atmosphere and the combat is cool, the gameplay is fundamentally rather easy and the missions pretty brainless and what you'd expect from an open world game. Hence while it's incredibly kino and aesthetic to appreciate almost more like a film and playing to play cool rather than "efficiently" for lack of a better term, if you're burnt out you'd probably not be able to enjoy that over the grind of the main gameplay.
I'd 100% buy it on sale but wait to actually play it. (and DO play it, you won't regret it)
it's genuinely the only open world game i can play over and over
then play sifu. sleeping dogs is really rough around the edges and has mediocre action.
Cant think of anything else to get. What are some old timeless games?
Looking for singleplayer shooters.
Hovering between The Outerworlds, CP2077 and Necromunda currently.
Which one of these should I get? I really want a good mp game.
squad
you can get hell let loose for 19e from keysites if you wish to save some. also that is the only game out of those i have played. game itself is pretty good but the playerbase is rather awful.
Hell let loose: Maybe the mum of the dev plays it.
Ready or Not: Still needs work
Chivalry: Haven't played
Squad: Autism but huge playerbase
squads playerbase is not that much bigger than hll. maximum 50% bigger.
hell let loose is pretty fun for me. there are some bullshit moments so you do need a bit of patience. I think it's more of a friday night/weekend night game when you just want to have a slow, methodical game to play and cooperate with others.
Hell let loose is a more hardcore battlefield
Ready or Not is the succesor to SWAT4
Chiv 2 is mindless fun, way less sweaty than Mordhau
Squad is a good alternative to Arma. You dont have to go theough the trouble of setting up Mods.
Depends on what you like imo. If you want something casual go for Chiv, if you want something realistic go for Squad. I paid RoN full price the day it came out, I dont regret it but its kinda expensive for what you get. If you have friends to play with it could be good tho. I prefer Post Scriptum to HLL but thats my own opinion, HLL is also not a bad game.nghm80
As usual I can't find anything. The Ascent seems like a buggy mess. F76 and Halo infinite MP still then, yes my taste sucks and I struggle to find anything worth playing anymore...
>F76
If you want to waste your time on a looter shooter then play Destiny 2.
I did, it was not my thing.
Don't listen to them anon, Fallout is a good game today.

This is my final haul but replace Ghostrunner with Marlow Briggs. I'm not going to lie, I didn't expect my haul to be this good. I also have more games that I want on sale that I'll buy in the next sale. I'm also very excited for upcoming new games. Feels so weird being optimistic for games when 99% of everyone else in this board feels the opposite.
You made a mistake ghostrunner is one of the best games ive ever played
Well I had to drop one game because it's overbudget and anons recommended that one. And yeah I'd agree the game is really short for the price. Appreciate the concern and I still am interested, maybe in the next sale.
Ace Attorney is Danganronpa but better in almost every way.
Still considering picking up another game, but nothing in my wishlist is jumping out at me so maybe I'll just work on my backlog.
I bought fire pro world wrestling and genso wanderer reloaded. Satisfied with the two games and might consider buying caves of qud. Was going to get cogmind as well but the game has font issues in smaller resolutions which I like to play in windowed while watching another video.
Based and having theme days for his purchases pilled

Are the Coma games anygood? I do like point n click titles.
These threads have been unironically the best Ganker has been for me in literal years.
There was some shitposting and shit opinions here and there but overall they were comfy, informative actual videogame discussion.
It's a fricking tradition for me to frequent steam sale threads. It's so comfy.
I came back after winning dubs in a /b/ dubs and leave forever thread 2 years ago just for these threads and to shill Marlow Briggs in them.
Small list but it's tax time and Mr. tax man isn't being kind.

Is EverSpace 2 any good?

Guys, how's Descenders?
It's only been 15 minutes but I'm bumping my own question. It looks so much like a hybrid of one of those golf multiplayer games and goat simulator that I'm a bit hesitant to get it, not to mention the game has multiplayer but with only about 100 players online? How does that work?
Pretty sure it's basically a spiritual successor to a PS2 game, so multiplayer shouldn't be too important, I only played the ps2 game though, was fun and dumb.
I took out Cuphead, because i know i won't play it and now i need another game in its place. I want something that has exploration, something sci-fi, something casual, something with story.
Cloudpunk perhaps?
yes, no?
Definitely yes to paper please
i just got beamng and i'm probably going to refund it
im 50 minutes into hollow knight when does it stop being boring
after a boss or two maybe, if you're not having fun when you already unlocked a couple movement abilities just don't force yourself
it's level design is a bit flat in the beginning for a metroidvania and while it gets better I wouldn't say that by whole lot... if the whole world building and stuff coupled with pretty tight if simplistic combat and responsive controls aren't enough to hold you then it's just not for you.
How are Chilla games?
You mean Chilla's Art? They're frickin awful, cheap, streamer bait games.

there are no good games anyway
Why would I buy more games when I can just play Max Payne 3 for the 12th time this year?
anything I should add/change/delete?
Didn't they start removing content from IV a while back? It's alright, but I would pirate it honestly.

Is NO MAN'S SKY entertaining? I want something that i can explore, fly, have mecha, and shit.
It's not EXCITING WOW FUN. But it does have all that.
It's okay, gets boring quickly because the gameplay loop is very repetitive though.
Yay or nay?
How is the missing J.J Macfield?
okay, hit me with your best takes
Onirism oozes sovl and has a really good soundtrack. Definitely worth the $10.
I have Jupiter Hell on my wishlist, would like to hear peoples opinions on it.
it's just doomrl with le epic graphics but significantly less content and some changed mechanics. i'd say doomrl already feels looks and sounds fine to sacrifice everything else it has for the graphics but you be you.

I heard they're alright. Then again No Man's Sky ship controls are alright too. Joking aside, can't you ask your friends which one they're more interested in?
>Joking aside, can't you ask your friends which one they're more interested in?
...
Ok ok, I'll give a real answer. No Man's Sky for a more relaxing experience and more survival elements and Sea of Thieves if you like more combat and much less survival elements. There you go.

What is a good game I can play for whatever time, like 5 minute or 20 minute or something and I can save and exit whenever I want without losing progress? I don't like games where I have to reach x checkpoint otherwise if I quit I lose progress.
Trails in the Sky is a really long game where you can just stop and save whenever, assuming you're not in a cutscene. At leas the first game is, I haven't played the others yet.
any game with quicksaves such as old valve games, black mesa
Factorio, you can save whenever you like and you can probably do something useful with 5 minutes of time.

well you can, but its not the same, i should have specified single player games only
Handball 17
one of the new CoD games campaign cant be pirated
tony hawk but its not on steam lol
you can pretty much pirate anything dude, maybe get Ready or Not
Is the Planet Coaster DLC worth getting?
Muse dash just as planned or Hatsune Miku mega mix?
Also what do you guys think about Peach Beach Splash?
the Miku game has DRM that makes it a subpar experience especially for a rhythm game, I'd go with muse dash if you like the songs
Thanks anon
>Neverwinter Nights: Complete Adventures
>Pillars of Eternity - Definitive Edition
>Battle Brothers
>System Shock Enhanced
>Valve Complete Pack
>Bloons TD 6
What do you guys thing about these, should I pull the trigger?
If you can get the important bits out of the Valve Pack (Half-life, Portal, L4D) I'm other bundles for cheaper I'd skip it, a lot of the rest of the games there look like old dead multiplayer mods
>Bloons TD 6
I'm conflicted on this, feels like it should be F2P since it has micro transactions.
Haul so far. What games can i get for 10-12 euros games to add to the haul?
Haul:
>Witcher 3 GOTY
>Vampire Survivors
>Sleeping Dogs.
I am thinking of:
MGS V
Dying Light
Ultrakill
Darkest dungeon Ancestral Edition.
All of what you're thinking is good. Ultrakill too but that's early access so if you want one to drop it's that one.
Ultrakill is not finished, so you can probably put that off. If you haven't played Dusk and Amid Evil (from the same devs), you could pick one of those up and then get the bundle to finish the collection at a later time for a deeper discount. I recommend Amid Evil because a DLC for that is coming sometime this year, whereas Dusk is getting an HD version later so it'd be better to wait for that to get it since it'll 100% go on sale with it.
How is Risk of Rain 2?
boring solo, decent fun with frens
The only rougelike-lite game i recommend is noita
This "Points Shop" thing is permanent right? Or do I need to choose right now whether or not to buy something here before the sale ends?
point shop is permanent
Yeah permanent. Only the Seasonal Badge resets every season.
Help guys which one do I get:
Dragon Quest
Bug Fables
Trials of Mana
they all look like something I would like
...which Dragon Quest? XI?
Dragon Quest XI is fricking excellent so it's a tough call between that and Trials of Mana.
Trials is a very simple, fun and surprisingly soulful remake for something made this decade. It really boils down to whether you want traditional turn based combat or an action RPG, you can't go wrong with either.
No opinion on Bug Fables, don't know what that is.
Yeah XI. DQ and Trials both look great, glad to know I can't really go wrong.
Listen to
Then listen to me about Bug Fables. Bug Fables is top tier. It's probably the best Paper Mario game ever made. Content is abundant. The main trio of characters is one of the best in gaming. The game has so much soul. There. Now you can have an even tougher time choosing a game. You're welcome.
Shit. I may have to buy two.
Your fault for choosing such good games.
>SO FAR I BOUGHT
DRAGON QUEST 11
PERSONA 4
SONGS OF STYX
SONGS OF CONQUEST
>Unsure about/recommendation welcome
Battletech
Dominions 5
Conquest of Elysume
Troubleshooter
Frostpunk
Symphony of War
Amazing Cultivation Simulator
Gordian Quest
Go with troubleshooter
So I'm doing a final buy before the end, and I'm torn between a few games as my final choice:
Shadow Empire
Necromunda: Hired Gun (loved EYE)
Project Warlock II
Colony Ship
Which 2 would get me the biggest bang for my buck?
>Necromunda: Hired Gun
currently part of the humble choice
how do you even find good shit for steam? there's so much shovelware on it also how do i convince my friends to play good better co-op games?
>how do you even find good shit for steam?
You read the OP. Plenty of great shit out there.
As for your friends if they only play trash they are probably a lost cause in my experience.
Should I finalize buying these? Would I be better off pirating some of them instead?
Borderlands 3
Forza Horizon 4
DOOM
The Yakuza Bundle
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Deep Rock Galactic
just dont buy AC shit bro
Wanted to buy it cos le nostalgia on Xbox. Should I buy Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim instead?
Pirate all of these except for DRG. Also BL3 is shit.
do I absolutely NEED people/friends to play with on games like: DayZ, Rust, and Sea of Thieves
no, you can solo, but you'll need some persistence and lots of hours to understand those games and to grind before you'll be any successful. that's generally why people are often of the opinion that you need a group to play hardcore-ish multiplayer games, most normal people would just drop it otherwise long before getting anywhere, without the constant social interaction you get in a group it's just gonna be a long wall of misery and overcoming impossible odds with not much fun stuff in between. but if you find fun in such misery then it's not a problem and more like a plus.
Ended up getting Noita, Onirism and No Man's Sky.
I am desperate for open world survival craft games. Shill me some, please. I played fricking Radiation Island last week.
>DMC5 Vergil DLC
yes or no?
You bought base game DMC5 early? Then yes it's worth it because Vergil.
Here are some recommendations for games more than 4 people can play
>Dead by Daylight (5 players)
>Killing Floor 2 (6 players)
>Pico Park (8 players)
>Gang Beasts (8 players
>WWE 2k22 (8 players)
I grabbed project gorgon. I figure if I even remotely get into it then grabbing it now when it's 50% off is the move. I've always wanted to play EverQuest so why not get the modern day version. And it very rarely goes to 50% off and it can cost more after it gets out of early access
I need some metroidvania recommendations, preferably some niche stuff cause I already played all of the obvious/popular ones
skyrim
what level of soi do you have to be on in order to fiend for metroidvania garbage
https://store.steampowered.com/app/630310/The_Mummy_Demastered/
Oh, it's not on sale.
yeah it pretty much never goes on sale or it's barely discounted, currently it's on a fanatical bundle but it's alongside a bunch of trash I don't care about
its on sale if you know where to look
https://www.fanatical.com/en/pick-and-mix/platinum-collection-build-your-own-bundle
just be sure to play them before the 2 week refund period is over.
I've done most of the ones I was uncertain about already and refunded 4, got a lot in the last few days so have to download a bunch more.
Supraland
have you played environmental station alpha?
yes it was great
Go be a hipster and play Marrow.
It's garbage, don't actually play it.
Also, looking at my Steam library filtered to Metroidvania, god, people use that tag too liberally.
that is the case with all tags on steam. everything is tagged everything. so actually trying to search for stuff you have to go through pages of shit that doesn't even belong in that category
Ah yes, my favorite Metroidvania. Haydee. Should've recommended this to everyone that wanted a Metroidvania.
That's actually a Vania though. A bizarre one that's basically "What if Tomb Raider, but thicc and in a facility full of robots?" but still a Metroidvania regardless, having to explore, acquire new equipment to access new locations, and progress.
I know the game. But when I think of Metroidvania, Haydee would not be at the top of the list. I still love her so much though. I probably would've already bought her game if my Steam account isn't shared with my brother.
Yeah, I know that feel.
I would rec most of the games on that list, even if most of them aren't actually Vanias regardless.
Especially Phoenotopia, Daryl, and Full Bore.
Yeah. Most of those are good games.
Yes. It's not worth it if you already played the game before. But for newcomers it's worth it.
Great.
are the alwa games any good?
>marrow
I remember that being shilled by the dev or maybe just ironically for a while here when metroidvania threads were a bit of a bigger staple
>22 reviews, mixed overall
I guess that didn't work out too well lol
Yeah, some dude actually made a video on it recently.
More or less confirmed it to be as garbage as everyone thought.
Anyway to tell if a game allows more than 4 players?
Actually anyway to tell a solid number on how much a game is based around in general? There's cool games that I later find out are duo only or the rare trio only in trines case and it's awkward looking for games if you have more than 4 people in mind.
Bought
>Death Stranding DC, refunded, might buy it later when price drops more
>Nightmare of Decay, already finished, was good for the price
>RDR2, tested it a bit probably during colder months
>Dying Light
>Poly Bridge
>Yakuza 0 playing this right now
I still have 14€ left in the wallet, that I want to spend
Got all that I need.
Looking for a good alien horror game already have Alien Isolation
Any game with infinite replayability like Rimworld, XCOM, and Dwarf Fortress? I'm too poor to afford games that can only be played once or twice.
factorio but you knew that already
play cogmind
thanks, I'll give it a try.
Bros should i get under night in birth?
If you don't have friends, no. Singleplayer content isn't worth it and the netcode sucks.
not really steam sale related but does amazon prime day have any good stuff? hoping a DualShock 4 controller will go on sale there or maybe some hard drives
is this shit any good?
Not without the WMBF couple update LMAO, the devs are being complete gays about it too
shut up gay Black person, out ALL the couples, they didn't do the most obvious one? WHY? answer that at least
reading their explanation it seems completely reasonable for their vision of the characters, in contrast to your sperging out
easy buy
you do you, I just find it strange as frick
It's not strange at all if you think about it.
They implemented a couple with their envisioned characterizations, pretty simple. If they just genderswapped the characters, then it wouldn't be the game they wanted it to be anymore. The same sex options obviously don't have the same dynamic.
And seeing who's complaining on the steam forums there's literally no reason to make the effort for non buyers. Same shit as when you complain how devs "bend over" to SJWs demands.
So they're just literal homosexuals? I don't understand the stereotype bullshit reasoning, they said they want to be inclusive but they don't want to do the basic b***h obvious option, then they have a fall-back excuse of 'oh it's too much work' when all the assets are all there. The mKay/fYu would still work and be a fresh experience.
>I don't understand
sounds like a you problem
No really, explain this shit. How is it a stereotype for men to like working on shit and women to be cleaning and cooking?
>How is it a stereotype
You can't be serious.
Also, that's besides the point. If their vision was that of a stereotypical male/female role, then they could leave it at that no problem.
Okay, so they wanted a non-conventional characters sure, I can accept that, but why pretend it was hard to do in the first place, then try to cover up their ass by saying they're all inclusive when the previous statement was anything but?
Blacked? The couple was WMBF if anything it'd be muh BLEACHED
It's just how they wanted their game. And as it seems, they don't see it worth the effort to appease the few who are bothered by the one option not being implemented. Not sure what's hard to understand about this in particular.
>we wanted the original characters to be this certain way
>but muh BLACKED
>representation and inclusion are fundamental beliefs
>while we exclude and refuse to represent a certain group
Yeah okay homosexuals whatever you say.
>BLACKED
no
>HD
>Remaster
>Digital
>Deluxe
>Edition
Lost.
>Digital Deluxe Edition
It's 4 dollars more for DANTE FROM THE DMC SERIES and Raidou and whatever other content to be included. I could emulate the Switch version I guess.
Ok here's my haul, even including some recommendations from you guys probably gonna regret that.
Heat Signature and the Ori games can wait until the xmas sale...
I don't know any of these games. Probably should've just bought the masterpieces that are the Ori games. Guess you went for quantity more than quality, which is fine.
Yeah, I still have lots of backlog stuff to play so this was just a grab bag of cheap stuff that seemed decently interesting.
Understandable. If you want one more super cheap game that's good get picrel.
Other Anon's been talking about that and it actually looks pretty neat. I'll put it on the wishlist.
Caveblazers is great. It's my favorite game.
are there any steam chrome add ons that makes a game's store page have more detail? like player base amount, previous sale prices.
FOREST any good? It is dirty cheap.
anyone from Argentina? i will give away some games under 100 pesos, just post your steam profile
https://steamcommunity.com/id/sircrisp/
taking a chance to see if any bros will gift me persona 4 golden
>300 games
>over half of the games not played
i dont think so
the only unplayed ones are crappy humble bundle ones from before ign bought it ;(
no they are not. you dont play games.
>gifting something to a dumb frogposter
Fat chance.
Noita or Risk of Rain 2? I'm between these two can someone give me opinions, was listening to the ost and I love both
I prefer Noita.
RoR2 is the way more accessible one, that you can also play with friends. Noita has more autistic content and potential for extended game time and exploration (remember you can quit the game at any time, autosaves).
how do Steam's autumn sale compare to the summer sale?
i've got $15. how far along in development is Satisfactory? i revisit the idea of buying it every now and then but it feels like its been years. i almost never buy early access but if all their doing is obsessing over little things then i don't mind jumping in.
either that or the doom eternal dlc
How is Disgaea?
I enjoyed games like XCOM and classic fallout. Is it anything similar?
no it's a grinding game, you just watch numbers go up
I like it. I haven't played either of those other games, though.
Despite the series being known for numberhomosexualry and grinding, the gameplay is actually pretty tactical during the story. They only crank the numbers up in the postgame.
>small maps
>been too long enough to remember the unit cap, but it's something like 8-10 player units on the map at once
>enemy numbers usually around 20ish max
>pickup/throw mechanic lets any humanoid unit pick up any other unit and throw them, with no limit on how many people can get stacked up at once (great for map traversal, or manipulating enemy positions)
>combat formulae are pretty nice, there are very few outright misses: the worse your accuracy roll the less damage you do, rather than full damage on hits and zero damage on misses. Attack and Defence are also pretty soft unless the differences are extreme, and even then there are ways to kill enemies hundreds of levels above your own.
>lots of powergaming possible for movesets and stuff
>cute art, actually good story, has a good balance between parody and serious
>deaths are not permanent
>the gameplay is actually pretty tactical during the story
no it isnt, go play xcom right now and see the difference
>overwatch here
>overwatch there
>overwatch fricking everywhere
I see, I see, pretty tacticool indeed.
It was five years without a summer or winter sale before this one. You have four hours to make the smart chuice.
Thanks to anons in these threads that always shilled this game. I never would have known without them. This has to be one of if not the best game I've ever played that has the price of 1$. Now I know the ways of the Chuchu.
Can anyone recommend me an open world rpg similar to elder scrolls, witcher or fallout? I just wanna get lost in a huge world with character customization
Google Ubisoft, their games is what you look for.
that was hilarious. are you a comedian?
but no, not ubishit garbage
No, I wasn't, from your list you probably meant latest games in their series and they are bad games. Actually, Ubisoft Assassin Creed Odyssey is way more fun than any in your list but you do you, if no then no.
>No last minute surprise santa/gifter
Well that's a shame
Maybe if you post your wishlists one will come 😉
How's Stanley Parable? I never played it so I was thinking of picking up the new version while it's on sale.
>FEAR pack
>Valve pack
>Dragon's Dogma
>Deus Ex
>Brigador
How'd I do?
you overpayed
rate my final haul
Buy Metal Gear Survive while it's cheap as chips. You have been lied to
>check reviews
>This game takes the opposite approach and drains your resources in real time so you have nothing when you start playing again. This means upon returning to the game you must IMMEDIATELY go on supply runs to keep your base at a survivable level, as staff immediately start getting sick.
Yeah, nah. Doesn't sound like fun at all.
I have no idea what you are talking about, that's not how the game works at all. it's the exact opposite in fact
I'm talking about literally the first review on steam page. He is lying then?
yes. it's not a roguelike, you don't just lose all your shit whenever you launch a game. once you get facilities up and running, they constantly gain resources in real-time
there are also daily/weekly login bonuses with daily/weekly missions that give a stupid amount off resources.
Great but it's mostly for post-game
how's co op?
Thoughts on GetsuFumaDen?
I've heard that it has an always online DRM
Good thing i'm always online, r-right?
I'm not really into fighting games but i enjoyed P4G
Should i get P4AU just for the story?
No, it's a dogshit story, watch it on youtube if you must.
t. bought the game twice
sure, it's 40% off here for a very limited time
https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/persona-4-arena-ultimax
It should be getting it's rollback netcode patch fairly soon
Be warned that it spoils the story of Persona 3 too.
another steam sale where I didn't buy anything
>sale ends in less than 4 hours
>still can't decide what to buy
Everything isn't even discounted that much like the old days. I can't find anything good under $10 let alone $5
Sounds like a massive you issue. Buy huntdown, 80s inspired dystopian jump and shooter. Otherwise, monster sanctuary, brigador or what else. Again, you are a homosexual.
don't bully, for whatever reason I'm fine with spending $10 or more on food each day but not for vidya
>Huntdown
Why would anyone recommend Hunt Down the Freeman?
Ha! Jokes on you, I completely forgot about it. Huntdown is a different standalone game.
AAA devs have wised up and reset prices by releasing definitive editions and removing original games to reset the prices and indie devs have gotten too big for their britches and don't give deep discounts. If you can wait anon, prices will drop but there are some good things to find out there.
Not to mention lots of 'raise price before sale and discount back to regular price during sale' shenanigans they always try to pull
buy stalker right now
BUY NITROPLUS BLASTERZ

Good goy
If you end up liking Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy is pretty much more of the same gameplay. Less mazelike levels, though.
The main reason to buy Jedi Academy is to play Movie Battles II, the only good online star wars game
Yeah I had Academy already, just hadn't played it hyet.
I havent bought a steam game in few years
Its not that I pirate games or anything there has just been literally nothing worth playing
the last game I bought was DMC5 on realease

What did you think of Mecha Knights Nightmare anon
Is it in the list? No? There's your answer
thanks for the list
Lost Planet 1 you dimwits.
wanted to check out the pc version after seeing some recent videos of people getting it back online after being abandoned by capcom
better than ea who removed titanfall from store with no message. reason is they killed the servers. so only the tutorial of the game is playable because even campaign is online only.
Anyone want a horror game? GOHOME finally went on sale
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1334840/GOHOME/
Nice thank you. Any other horror gems that you would recommend beside the well known ones?
I'm also thinking of buying fatal frame/project zero but it's still a bit expensive
I haven't sunk my teeth into these yet but i bought them and I'm all ready to go once the summer heat cools off a little

wrong stalker, get Anomoly mod
it's free and standalone

How is Last Epoch ? I already played Grim Dawn and poe.
A shitty wannabe PoE. With weird developer.
>boast about 50+ big team
>update progress is absolutely abysmal, from the look of it game is being done by 2-3 people at most
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1141220/DemonCrawl/
I highly recommend this one for anyone who likes Minesweeper and wouldn't mind extra mechanics. As a forewarning though, the meta-progression system is very grindy.
I just bought Outer Wilds. How badly did I frick up?
i refunded my copy
What annoys me more than the money I wasted is the time I lost that I'll never get back. I was tricked into buying it by Ganker too
If you just want the gameplay it's fine. If you want anything above that the entirety of the story is "Corporations Bad," and all of the actions you see in the game are "Corporations moronic."
still funny seeing people mix up the games
Oh shit yeah, outer wilds is fine
kek
It's the kinda game small brain people play and come away thinking they're big brain
You Black folk are getting your games mixed up, are we talking about the point and click adventure game or the fricking Obsidian flop?
ok ok, sell me on mech mercs company, reading the updates on it and it seems like development has stopped for now, is what's there good to go or should i hold off?
For it's current price it's more than worth it. After development continues it will only be more worth it still
I would pay top dollar to see footage of the people that got filtered by this game playing it.
Any good coomer games with huge breasts
HOLY
bloons
Karryn's Prison.
I need some good multiplayer recommendations.
Any recommendations for a guy with a 5000+ game library?
Fulfilment in the bosom of a woman that loves you, surrounded by 3-4 children (Impossible)
Is Loop Hero worth $5?
Which should I get Battletech or Mechwarrior 5? I think I like controlling the mechs more but which one has better customization?
help
I just went with battletech because I liked the discount better.
So I wanna buy Bug Fables but I heard the developer had a shitty time with the publisher and that he doesn't get any of the money if I buy the game. Does anybody know if this is true or what even happened between the two?
I don't know if it's true and don't care
https://gog-games.com/game/bug_fables_the_everlasting_sapling
This is true for literally every game you buy
The devs have already been paid, money goes to the publisher
Any good/cheap games like Cry of Fear or Nightmare House 2? I feel like playing some old HL2 Horror mods
Any thoughts? I've been on the fence about these throughout this whole sale.
Dorfromantik is comfy as hell but I think it's a bit overpriced. I bought it at 5€ some time ago
I'll hold off on Dorf then. Thanks.
They both play the exact same just different locals. I have both and enjoy playing both of them. It makes for a good little company sim where you can manage employees. Eventually you can forgo driving all together and just treat the game like a spreadsheet where you manage your employees.
In ATS they're slowly releasing all the states going from West to East while ETS seems more or less completed. I believe Texas is up next. I cant wait for that one.
>see No Man's Sky is half off
>hmm maybe ill finally-THE BASE PRICE OF THE GAME IS $60
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAAAA LMAO HAHAA
>releasing a AA game for AAA MSRP
>selling a AA six year old AA game for $60
The lies weren't even Sean Murray's greatest crimes.
It's because he keeps releasing free expansions, rather bold business strategy.
He releases the expansions to make the game into what he said it would be. The expansions aren't a credit, they are there to erase the debt.
The funniest thing is that even now, when NMS reached "his actual vision fulfilled" status, it's STILL just a boring crafting game
this is the shit that always irked me about that pile of shit of a game, you can say whatever moronic arguments defending the overpromising or whatever, but what it comes down it is they basically sold a fricking early access title for 60 FRICKING DOLLARS, the full price of an AAA game, and no, sony or whoever else didn't force them to sell it at this moronic price because there were plenty of other indie releases at a more reasonable price point, it was absolutely on them to set it as high as they did
which culminates into the fact that no, I absolutely do not find it impressive at all that they've been pumping out updates for years at this point, because they're essentially set for life considering all the cash they got from their little scheme, and what amounts to an early access game, if anything they're just finishing the actual development that should've been there day 1, I feel nothing but contempt for those bastards and they'll never see a fricking dime from my money
the only game I want comes out right after the sale ends
based and klonoa pilled
What he said
For me it's that and Stray.
why wait
Monster Hunter Rise good? I am not getting sun till it's on sale, I know it's got mixed reviews atm. I got 83 hours out of MHW.
Also looking at pathfinder: war of righteous. I liked divinity 2 but that was my only real experience of a isometric RPG in recent years.
you know the half-assed grappling hook mechanic in MHW? Rise made it so you can fire them anywhere instead of just in certain spots and there's attacks that use them up for massive damage. it's just more fun as a game than World in general, for better or worse.
>it's just more fun as a game than World in general, for better or worse
>for better or worse
kek
Cool, thanks.
Returning civ 6 because I've never been able to convince myself to play it/buy it over the years. Just need to find out about pathfinder.
About to pull the plug, any last adds or recommendations or removals?
frick I forgot to add Chaos Code but other than that?
I cannot really think of anything to add to that cart or remove myself because I haven't played half of that but if you enjoy classic style platformers volgarr the viking is fun but similar to snes games but more closer to ghost n goblins than castlevania
otherwise VVVVVV
ok added Volgarr and the Rosenkreuzstilette franchise to my list
buy mr driller drillland
buy mega man 11
buy gng resurrection
buy rosenkreuzstilette
there is not much time left for platforming sale kino
>buy rosenkreuzstilette
Based
I bought Roboquest. It's really damn fun, Borderlands without any of the moron humor. Great gun design and feeling. Coop seems to be with steam friends only though and I have none
I think I'll pull the trigger here. homefront is there for the timesplitters 2 port.
Euro Truck Sim 2 or America Truck Sim? What's the most comfy? Best graphical wise? Best Gameplay?
Choice should be what setting do you want. I own both of them and they are both being developed simultaneously - every technical update will be pushed to both games, each game have their own DLC regions in development at the same time.
I like Euro more but it have more regions since it's older game. Without DLC regions just go by setting you want to play.
Never actually played AoE III despite playing most of the other games in the franchise. Is it worth a shot?
For recommendations, BallisticNG is -30% off; shit's a steal for something already modestly-priced.
I'm doing it
Recommendations?
My recommendation is that you don't buy any of that shit
Why not?
Anyone got any last minute "le hidden gems" they mind shilling? Sub $5-$10 range obviously. I have anon's list that he compiled last thread of some general one.

Devil Spire is really good but it'll kick your balls in the beginning. Get used to it and you're golden.
Good sale. Nothing amazing though. Spent about $20 for 8 games. Just indie stuff that looked nice. I already have most of the must-have classics (Max Payne etc.), many of which were cheaper years ago when I got them.
>wasted all of my money and forgot to buy Deep Rock Galactic
Shame, DRG is a must

I never played and was always jelly of those that played when the game came out. I know people shit on it but want to experience first hand how it is.
Wanted to buy Deep Rock Galactic too, but i don't know if i should. Is the base game enough?
Deep Rock's DLCs are all cosmetics that you buy to support the devs, it isn't actual content.
Yes. Especially if you have friends. But I heard with randoms it's fun too.
what do you think bros?
Is it good?
Are you sure you're gonna finish that before the next sale?
soon™
any reason you bought L4D1?
it was in the valva complete bundle.
I bought:
>Roboquest
>EYE Divine Cybermancy
>Hero Siege
>Break Arts II
20€, pretty good
my final buy of the sale, Earth Defense Force 4.1. never played an EDF and i think i convinced my buddy to buy it real quick.
but its not the most recent EDF
EDF 4 is still really solid though.
Good choice, I enjoyed 4.1 more than 5
I would had gone for EDF5, it has more QoL improvements but still a good choice. I hear Iron Rain is bad so at least you avoided it.
Give me your best obscure tactical games.
I enjoy both oldschool strategic ones with millions of guns that differ by nanoseconds of aim time and millimeters of bullet drop curve, and modern puzzle-likes with preset maps that hide clever one-turn solutions, just not a big fan of the middle ground of nucom-likes that try to appear huge and strategic but play like solitaire where perfect outcome is often denided by map rng before the combat even begun.
r8, any games I should add?
That's good enough I think.
>Oh man I have so many games on my backlog! Well anyways, time to buy more games.
