Can I get indie or lesser-known games where you use your powers/grapple/jetpack to explore, find secret rooms and alternative solutions?
The perfect exemple is Deus Ex (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT7sjoH8Sqc) and I also love Arkane games and Control.
How is Cruelty Squad?

got picrel only
this sale is severely lacking, none of my wishlisted stuff got put on a sale bigger than 35%
>svetlov >panelki
HOLY SHIT those look good, as a babbdi fan I thank you for posting this haul bro
I was craving some more casual eastern blok urban exploration
999 is more serious but if you've played 1 Uchikoshi game, you've played them all, but 999 is were he perfected his formula so if you're gonna play one of his games, play that one, because every game you play after will feel worse due to his reuse of these tropes. He has a bad habit of reusing the same twists over and over his most egregious twist is (I wouldn't recommend reading these if you want to play though) we weren't here, we were here, all along he's used that one 4 times already along with I'm not playing as this person, I'm playing as this person. 999 though is probably the one where he perfected it, Virtues last Reward is when he out right tries to break some writing rules which I think he did fairly well, still, his old habit creeps in here as well, Zero Time Dilemma is SO BAD but I would buy a 4th just for how much fun I had shitting on it, so go into that one with low expectations alright.
VLR just doesn't work if you're aware of how writers hype up empty promises. It's 999 again, but BIGGER and pointing at another game that will exist some day.
What I liked though was how he had an in game note show all the wrong ways to write a story, amnesia, twin twist, etc, and he uses all of them in VLR without it being as bad as breaking all those rules should make it. and while he does fall back on his ole reliable twists, it was nice he was willing to use my meta view of his works to trick me there, sadly he hasn't been able to do it again after that, yet again falling back on his 4 times used twist for even his newer games.
I got >Palworld but refunded for Monster Hunter World + Iceborne >Left4Dead 1 & 2 >Fallout New Vegas
Was never a PCgay so i'm trying to catch up on some of the cheaper classics.
Play or watch a recap of: 3/4/5
Definitely play: 6 and Gaiden
I don't know why people like this game: 7
Can play at any time and are kino: Judgment and Lost Judgment
4,5, and 6 are definitely worth playing, even if you'll skip 3. If you plan on playing 7, play it before Gaiden. Definitely check out Judgement and Lost Judgement at some point too
Kingdom Come is great if you mesh with the combat
Descenders is kinda meh. I mean it's decent, but it's no Tony Hawk if you're looking for something like that. Kind of repetitive despite the procedural generation. You should probably try playing that one first and see if you like it so you can refund it if you dont see yourself playing a lot of it
>Lost Judgement on -66% >Still a high price and its DLC costs as much as a full game and locks a style behind it
Nothing is on an actual good sale. Its all like -20%, expensive once you factor DLC or expensive intentionally so even on a high sale it costs a ton
Already returned Noctuary. It sounds and looks amazing, but seems like the story sucks. Had my first harvest in Sakuna, it is very fun so far and plays perfectly on Deck.
Nothing probably.
There is always a sale if you buy from keysellers.
Besides, it's either the same deal that has been offered the past 2 years or a recent game that is full of bugs.
Maybe i'll just get something from the square enix e-shop deals.
Is it worth it?
And I mean the time investment more than anything, I just want to have a good time.
I have never played a game of this genre but I'm curious about it.
It's fun. Bit of a learning curve at first, since it's the most mechanically compex civ game, but you can download some mods that make learning the ins and outs easier. I recommend Extended Policy Cards.
You only buy shit you're immediately looking to play. For everything else there's bundles and shit. This only works if you're into a variety of genres and games, though.
Any game that'll make me evade from my daily life? I haven't played a JRPG for years but I'm chasing that feeling that FFX gave me the first time I played it.
A sense of adventure, wonder with secrets and stuff to unlock.
I'm thinking about DQ11 but that's it. Bonus point for comfyness.
Of course I'm getting it, I played the first one like at least 15 times, huge fan. Oldgay from /ddg/ even.
No I want something comfy and turn based. Like a Final Fantasy game but less corny if you will. Or just different, I don't even know myself. I just want some sense of wonder.
Man I feel like I miss every steam sale but in recent years it's been harder and harder to get into Vidya. I genuinely don't know what to get. all FPS games have kinda felt boring to me and I'm not into strategy or simulation autism. I've got a lot of rogue likes and don't know if I need anymore even though I love them. Is there some game out there I'm missing that I could get? Like is their an action RPG with good combat, cute girls and character customization? That's kinda what I want rn. Last game I truly loved was Armored Core 6.
go back and play older games. at some point everything homogenized to identical couple of molds every game seems to fit into. they're just wearing different skins now.
One of the earlier missions has you go hunting with a bro in the woods and it's pretty good for that. Most paths make you go into the woods too. It only sucks that hunting is illegal a lot of the times, but you can circumvent that easily by just eating the meat and avoiding guards which is very easy to do
>"At the request of the publisher, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction™ Deluxe Edition is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search."
Did they removed the game?
It does appear in the bundle but listed as N/A.
Yes, but buy it through fanatical, it's cheaper ($16.79).
Don't buy the deluxe editions, some of the items are cosmetics and the rest are useless (you'll get better gear during the game).
severed steel is one of those random games that caught my eye and I wound up playing it for 30 hours. wildly fun and innovative. if you like it the studio has a demo out for the next game called echo point nova which is possibly even more fun. whoever the guy was who designed the movement in those games absolutely killed it
titanfall 2 is also great but it was more fun when the multiplayer was popular. some very fun run and gun mechanics in it though. wish we got a titanfall 3 instead of 10 more CoDs but whatcha gonna do
Going to pick up the rest of the Astro Saga now that its on sale. Also going t look for other rare titles that only go on sale with Steam Sales direct
Also anons may want to remember that Humble has their Leap Year Sale still going on and for anything sold there it may be a better price epecially if you have Choice discounts. Won't cover everything, but do the comparison.
Day's Gone is one of the best games released in recent years, mostly on the back of its story and characters. It's not brilliant, but it was at least written by adults for adults, and not over grown babies sick with irony and politics. The gameplay is solid too if you play with the difficulty up and the assists down.
I got Bureau for free and I still want a refund.
If Valdis is the game I'm thinking of, I dropped it because it had animation cancel button as the core of the combat, but didn't even bother explaining it in-universe. Just call it the "eight-fold way" or some bullshit.
Both are equally amazing and essentially the same. One's traditional medieval fantasy and the other is sci-fi. If you can only pick one, choose the game which uses a setting you find dearest to your heart.
i bought post void because I got a notification that it was on sale. it was like, 80 cents off. totally forgot I wishlisted it but it's pretty fun, absolutely worth $3
>See turn based JRPG on sale >buy it because the music/art style looks cool >get bored after like 10 hours. >repeat
How do I escape this vicious cycle?
>See turn based JRPG on sale >buy it because the music/art style looks cool >get bored after like 10 hours. >repeat
How do I escape this vicious cycle?
>if I just wanna shoot stuff
yes. it's fun but it falls into a few of the pitfalls of other linear FPS games of the early 2000s. your commlink or whatever never shuts up and the downtime between missions is a touch long but the core shooting is damn solid
I still preferred F.E.A.R. which I could not stop comparing it to but if you wanna run around like a maniac and just blast shit it's flashy enough to keep your attention for some time
I got The Void yesterday. Don't really understand what's going on yet, I know he game explains things to an extent. But I just ended up planting blue and green trees only and running out of gold.
my wishlist is pretty barren.
not only its like 9 games, most arent even out.
What im mostly waiting rn is GoG sale for phantom liberty.
As for steam sale.
Might buy fast beat loop racer GT
even though its rated borked on proton db
jet set radio and aor australia are low priority games
>After all these year buying games on steam sale...
i add stuff to my wishlist that I have no intention to buy just so i can watch the sale price and imagine buying something
Gee I love cart rate threads! Let's see all the same fricking people posting again! >moronic burnout who whines about his inability to enjoy video games >Pirategays who don't actually play the games they pirate joining a thread they do not like and are now surrounded by people they don't agree with. How could this be happening to them? >Idiot living under a rock asking if shit like Human Revolution is worth it???? to farm replies from dumber people saying "WOAH IT'S SO GOOD" >Hey guys, here's my cart filled with eight shovelware animu~~~desu!!!! slop games that NOBODY has ever heard of and are garbage!! I'm asking for recommendations despite the fact that I'm only playing these to jerk off and never actually cared about their quality!! Should I buy Suwari Space Advance Collapse::Future Unreal:Love 00? >Effortposters offering reviews and recommendations to games that aren't popular (based!) >Droolcuppers wondering why flavor of the months and continually successful new and quasi-new games either have no sale or a shitty sale >morons asking for sale status because gg.deals is too hard of a url for them to remember
It's okayyyy. It's a frustrating game because it has so many little hints of being incredible but it's drowned out by the rest of the mediocrity. The first real boss in LOTF is one of my favorite Souls bosses of all but the rest of the game can't live up to it.
The enemy variety is just bad. You probably don't know how hard Souls games get carried by enemy variety until you play LOTF and you've been fighting demon-guy twinaxes and flaming dogs the ENTIRE game. Especially in the Dark World (Umbral), which features a comically shitty enemy variety suite when it's a mode you're in for half the game.
It's also easy after the first two zones. Builds become too powerful and you need to tell yourself to never use the Soulrip move the Umbral Lantern has because it trivializes every boss worse than Mimic Tear did.
I suggest you follow a guide for the sidequests. The developers are idiots and thought obscurity was a virtue so the questlines are fricking terrible, including such "joys" as forced boss summonings, incredibly restrictive fail requirements, and zero-signposting backtracks.
I'm dumping on it but it has upsides. Some gorgeous visuals, some great music, some really cool design decisions (block chip turns into Bloodborne rally which kicks ass, throwing weapons are a weapon class to give quality builds functional magic, parries are fun).
I don't like the way the protagonist looks and how he moves. Something about it just rubs me the wrong way.

Lords of the fallen is OK at best. I got annoyed by a few things like quest design, but they fixed a fair amount of shit over patches.
I have heard about the same as [...] says. Lords of the fallen is okay at best, but if you really like Soulstype then you will have to play some okay games
Thanks, sounds like it's just not for me then. Enemy and world designs are the main reasons I played the FromSoftware stuff.
Undecided on Lords of the Fallen. I like designs of what I've seen from it but don't know much more since I try to avoid spoilers.
Also recommend Lies of P. If you don't like looking at Timothy Chalamet just put on the Donkey head you get like half an hour into the game
Though the Jedi game is pretty good too
Can't decide whether I should by something expensive or a bunch of cheap stuff. Help me out here bros -
Option 1 : Just BG3
Option 2 : Just Cyberpunk+expansion
Option 3 : Dead Space+Re : Village
Option 4 : Hades + Nier + DMC 5 + Project Zomboid + Jedi Fallen Order
Any good metroidvanias or roguelikes in that style? Looking for ones with magic or ranged weapons as an option
So far playing bloodstained, dead cells and Blaspheomus
>Any good metroidvanias or roguelikes in that style?
This implies you are referring to something specific, like you forgot to post a pic of a game or quote a post about a game.
Tomb raider anniversary sucks. It's the one game I own that I regret. Spend your time playing either the original emulated or the recent remaster/remake
HROT is like Quake, Prodeus is more like modernized Doom. HROT is much harder and has a pistol start mode. Prodeus has a smoother difficulty curve, uses the -shock series "vita chamber" style checkpoints but the game awards you a star for beating the levels without dying. Prodeus also has a map editor and there's a bunch of usermade maps available.
Prodeus combat is milquetoast, especially with the moronic respawn business, think vita chamber in Bioshock/System Shock, except no monsters respawn. Has some striking looking levels and fun guns, and I enjoyed the collectaphon aspect, looking around levels for secrets to get upgrades, but overall underwhelming.

The most unforgettable horror porn game I've ever played. No other game had a bunch of elementary schoolers gangbang a teenage girl against a wall. And the teenage girl loved it. No other game I've played had a 17 year old bishonen guy drink a 14 year old girl's piss and chase her down the hall to rape her, only to wind up getting anally raped by a 32 year old fat man. I still remember the scene where a 16-17 girl was hiding under a bed as her same age best friend was having sex with that same 32 year old fat guy on top. She heard every moan, bed shake and sound. In the wrong end she was discovered under the bed by her friend and made to join. A most terrifying scene was when an unwilling girl relives another girl's sex memories. The girl in the memory consented but the reliving girl didn't. It didn't matter that she was mentally screaming, her body in the memory did all the motions and actions as in history. It's like mind control rape except the victim was fully aware. Another scene the same girl and a friend were almost raped in a magic sex ritual, saved by the girl's older sister, and the backlash made the older sister want to rape her younger sister and friend.
The e-girl in this pic is freakishly lewd and once disguised herself as a teenage girl, fricked a boy until he nearly came, transformed back saying >You thought you were having sex with a highschooler weren't you? I'm an elementary schooler all along!
And leglocks that boy, forcing him to cum inside her unprotected, when he screams in fear upon learning this. This isn't even getting into the tentacles, the gay sex, the lesbian sex, the incest, the sequel's mother/daughter lesbian scene, etc. The first chapter alone contains lots of lesbian sex scenes with an unavoidable girl jerking off in the bathroom. Truly horror is intrinsically connected with sexuality.
I'm still on the lookout for some games where demons and angels beat each other appart from Darksiders and Bayonetta. I also looked at some gamepaly of SMT and it looked terrible no wonder I never play jarpigs. I also wish Hellgate London wasn't fricked on Steam
In wonder boy the character is stiff and feels heavy, some platforming set pieces are guaranteed to get you damaged but who gives a frick, items boost defence. Overall it's nice
Darksiders Genesis is pretty fun, I played an hour leaned back with my xbox controller which is something I normally don't do.
that's kind of a israeli price for how old it is now but it's probably still worth it. I liked it a lot i just wasnt autistic enough to power through to the end
depend on what you want exactly?
this game is straight cade port to pc
doesnt get more arcadey than that.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/633110/FAST_BEAT_LOOP_RACER_GT__GT/
I appreciate the rec, but I listed all 2D mostly single screen type games, and that's more what I'm looking for. Something retro in its simplicity and look but made recently, so maybe has some newer mechanics introduced. Infinitely replayable, maybe score attackey, I don't know. The pacman championship games and Antonball are good examples, but I have them already.
Seems alright, I remember it being a streamer favorite for a while. That's more like a multiplayer flash game, I want something I can play alone on the go, multiplayer would just be a cool bonus.
Any good monster collecting games THAT ARE NOT PALWORLD on sale? I'm playing through Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince on my Switch but I'm going to be itching for more monster collectan when I'm done.
Isn't this a game similar to Dwarf Fortress? Where the whole point is to build up to an inevitable catastrophe? What'd be the point of minmaxing if watching a colony collapse is a major point of fun?
Crosscode is great. Crystal Project is also great, but it's a game all about exploration with barely any story. Great game if "oh nice I can get to this place now" sounds good to you
>Crosscode is fricking excellent >Crosscode is great.
Why is Ganker full of pathological liars? That game is pure shit.
Most of Ganker has no standards for writing and values quantity over quality. Crosscode fans are like Golden Sun and Trails fans, where good presentation and the game's insistence of its supposed scope and depth means it's good.

not into 2d games so best i can suggest is Gris
though i doubt its something you might want since its a platformer
>Age of Decadence? (i cant vouch for this one)
I can, great game made for multiple playthroughs >Inquisitor(le hidden gem, flawed but unique)
Based. Just make sure to actually get the game called Inquisitor, search is gonna probably find Inquisitor: Martyr first
It's okay to not play vidya for a while and then come back to it. You could also be losing interest in what you usually enjoy because you are putting off important shit in your life.
ender lilies is apparently a 2d soulslike
vallgalla is a good vn about drink mixing
[...]
bloodrayne is decent games
Ender Lilies is a Metroidvania, the only "soulslike" it has is that you can make "builds" with the spirits you unlock, plus some bosses may filter you if you don't know what you're doing but it's a pretty good game thought, i finished it recently and it was very fun
thoughts on any of the following games? i'm looking for something to sink hours into but is also light to pick up and drop. kind of like x-com games. >Rimworld >Dwarf Fortress
most likely keeping but learning curve seems wayy up higher than i want to bother right now. >Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
have non-definitive so will probably be dropped unless it's worth it >CIV: VI
want to keep but on the fence. >The Forest >Project Zomboid >7 Days to Die
three zombie games i'm looking into. may get one or none. i want a fun zombie game. >Steamworld Dig 2 >seems nice, keeping prob
>DF and Rimworld
Very similar games. I'd pick DF over Rimworld if you can only do one. But Rimworld is slightly "simpler" >Civ VI
Civ V is better in almost every way. >The Forest, Zomboid, 7DtD
Of these, The Forest is probably my favourite, but its a story focused experience that has an end point. I like it the best of these, but I personally don't like Top Down games. Zomboid is the best of the bunch if you do, its mechanics and systems are just better than the others in every way once you learn them. 7DtD is dated, extremely so. Its the epitomy of Early Access jankfest that will never be finished.
Very ironic post since I dumped the original game for being yet another roguelite. This one is just what, a fighting game? Arguably worse since it's also a non traditional fighting game meaning it'll have a single digit playerbase.
What's poppin' sisters!
Talos Principal 2 is half price and I love my first person puzzle games (I'm not smart enough to understand the pseud "are robots human" dialogue so I just let the message logs play while not getting angry) Is it worth a buy?

it's a pretty good time, just don't expect a super serious fps because it's quite zany and kill times are microscopic
the smaller playercount modes are more tactical, and the bigger ones are just a fricking circus
it's definitely worth $7.50
The Citadel (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1378290/The_Citadel/) is on a pretty nice sale. I've seen a few threads for it. I like the aesthetic of running around a giant facility.
But I've never played old Doom games or other fps of that era, or even any boomer shooter revivals. I'm basicaly a zoomer when it comes to shooters. Would I enjoy it? Outside of the ryona/guro
Maybe. Honestly not the best showcase of boomer shooters, the sparse geometry and repetitive textures can get annoying after a while and it still somehow has slowdowns because it's actually Unreal Engine pretending to be retro, and it doesn't really go deep enough with the gun/operator autismo. Still if you've never played shooters before maybe you'll find it challenging enough to be interesting.
Is the setting interesting enough to hold it up?
I first saw it in a "recommend me games like Blame!" thread, which is primarily why I'm interested. Love me giant unknown architectural mazes.
I'm not sure I would say it's like Blame!, the visuals are too simple to sell the whole endless megastructure feel and I think lorewise there's no such thing either. I guess it has interesting lore but like 90% of it is outside the actual game.
It's not so much about change but added content. It basically offers a side campaign with branching story lines in a different "overworld", and also new weapon types, skills and higher level cap.
Lots of discussion online will presume you have the dlc installed.
It might not really be necessary for a first playthrough (the base game is already massive), but I recommend it.
if you like the previous one i guess you will enjoy it i had to run off gearscore mechanic and most of the hud elements to enjoy it pretty good to just wander around and kill shit
>depth and customization
only for clothes
the characters just level up a bit and unlock some extra moves in their moveset
the best one imo is estival versus as it has lots of levels and characters but some of the others that came to steam later might look a bit better graphically
they don't play like typical musou either, you kill mobs until some other ninja girls come out to fight, there's no real tactics to the map at all
i thought peach beach splash was garbage and i can't recommend that one at all
What was the last game that absorbed you into another world? I feel like I need to care about the story and I haven't played a game like that for a long time
God of War 3 but that's not on steam kek
Yakuza Gaiden I got pretty into the story too
Dead Space remake I was into the world but not the story so much
Koei Tecmo are honestly really israelites with what games will go on sale or not. I was hoping to pick up the PC port of Toukiden 2, but the damn thing has not been on a sale for like a year now.
It's just the bundle for 1, they probably fricked up and did it for 2 accidentally. I don't want the shitty walking life or whatever, so frick the japs I'll just pirate it.
NTA
Chosen are fine. They can be an ass to deal with but the game gives you the tools to deal with them. Even if they abduct a soldier you can get them back.
Even the Rulers are fun to play against, but maybe not for your first time around. They're designed to be fought over the course of multiple missions, because they retreat. Any damage you do to them carries over until the next time they show up. They also give some sweet gear once you finally finish them off.
I might be in the minority, but I think XCom 2 is great and the Chosen are a nice addition. They keep you on your toes and make you change up some tactics you might fall back on.
But you should always keep in mind the game expects you to lose occasionally. Losing a soldier here and there, or even a whole mission is not usually a game ending setback.
>scroll down to recommended vidya >get this
looks putrid to look at, but they're probably totally fair recommendations for having 100s of hours in Quake 3, Trackmania, Dawn of War and Dark Souls PTDE
Sale prices are mid.
So I've been adding games to my ignore list like crazy.
Then commenting in their discussion section that I just added it to my ignore list and watching the devs sperg out at me
I already had the mobile version of VI on steam, now I have the pixel remaster one too. I missed the mobile version of V though, now those are removed from the store. XII is great.
What is the laptop/PC model for the person who hates Steam, hates the PC gaming, hates Gabe Newell, hates Valve, hates the Steam Deck and wants an anti-steam and anti-gaming laptop/PC?
Do you like base building? Managing your characters? Do you like feeling self sufficient, building and developing everything yourself? Do you like having to deal with random issues like the flu, parasites, and more? If so you might like Rimworld. or you watch Reggie's Rimworld videos and let those convince you.
Drop Dark Sector, it's not on sale
Original Assassin's Creed isn't as good as 2 or Black Flag, but it feels more like you're actually an assassin. I think it's worth playing, but if you're on the fence I might drop it.
Chrono Trigger port supposedly still has issues, just emulate it
Monkey Island is great
Bulletstorm was kinda overrated, but I still had fun with it
Got no no Kuni 1 & 2. Always wanted to play these two. Haven't started them yet but I'm a bit afraid they, like most jrpgs, might be too easy even on the hardest difficulty. Are there well know balance mods for this game or if theyr even necessary?
>wants a challenging game >buys Ni no Kuni
m8 these games are ridiculously easy, even for jrpgs. I suspect it was made to be super easy because it’s meant to be played specifically by younger children and not adults.
I don't know what to get. I'm burnt out on games. Recommend me a game that will repair my love for games again anons. Something so special and unique that you think should be played by everyone.
CD:DA Bright Nights fork
Install UNDEAD_PEOPLE as your tileset, and @'s soundpack.
And don't fricking whine about the controls or graphics. It's free and fun, and you morons for some reason despise getting over the learning curve of controls when they come in handy long term.
Enjoy building your own deathmobiles and shooting the piss out of lovecraftian monsters (Mi-Go's, Krecks, etc) and zombies.
And if this isn't "enjoyable" then you got filtered to be a moron with shit taste.
>inb4 "muh shill" despite the game costing nothing and being free.
That's not a menu. That's a BCU ICU Monitor, as clearly stated in the upper left corner. Basically a bunch of telemetry/stats/info on your character. Which you would have known had you played Scum. But you didn't. How many games let you shit your pants? Well, in Scum you can while playing the banjo.
you know it's bad when one of SCUM's selling points is toilet humour and their "supporter pack" allowing you to shit out a dildo and attach it to a spear.
Anonymous
I assure you, shitting your pants in your sleep is far from humorous if it happens to you.
SCUM's been garbage since 2021 and I've owned it since 2019.
The game's just digging its own grave at this point and its fricking spending more money on making DLC milking content and trailers/advertising then actually fixing bugs or their god awful "immersive" horde spawning.
I've witnessed 3-4 shitshows that Jagex has had since acquiring the game, including them trying to sell players data from a survey.
>buying games
I'd rather just spend the money on better internet and torrent shit homosexual.
I haven't found a game that's worth its pricetag, and most are overpriced slop. What happened to games just being made for fun and not profit? It's just all gay "indie" (they in fact have a team of 12 people but call themselves indie for the luls), with most of the money dumped into looks/marketing instead of having a actually playable game..
Normies are so fricking gullible it's annoying, take Project Zomboid as a example, 2019 it was a "literal who" game I only found via youtube luck, was simple and enjoyable.
Post 2021 it's flooded with 60k+ children, redditors, and other morons due to "muh graphiks and muh B41 MP!!"
Now the game sits at 20k+ users and the multiplayer side of the game has turned into absolute shit compared to the 1-2 stable high pop servers that were decent to play on. Get banned from a literalwho server and you'll be banned by the fricking owner of a different server cause they share a "collective ban-list". Vahalla is unironic redditor garbage.
Post B41 MP every server is now just sanitized and fricking gay, the flood of morons also has brought some of the most poorly made mods (snake's "modpack" in particular which is coded by a thirdie Columbian) to the front page.
frick I hate having what used to be a good game flooded by children and fricking reddit/normie morons to the point that multiplayer is just not even worth your time cause it's all sanitized garbage with moronic server owners and admins that'll boot you off if you have the slightest "rude" tone or talk about something that they don't like.
I use steam as low-cost retail therapy because games are pretty cheap and shopping for and trying out new games even if for a couple of hours keeps the anxiety at bay.
When I have a period of high stress I browse the discovery queue, shop around for prices on some cheap game I like, buy and play for a few hours. It distracts me from my severe health anxiety
Thanks. My latest thing is that my throat decided to get what is known as a "globus sensation" where it feels like my throat has something stuck in it and is closing. Docs think it's anxiety.
Dude wtf you have an issue seek fricking help you goddamn freak your not normal
I am don't worry anon.
If you want cheap memorable fun I would recommend the classic lucas arts point & click adventures like "Day of the Tentacle" and "Full Throttle".
Don't be silly, I've done "just say the opposite of the previous anon" shitposts for years and the IP counter wouldn't matter since I already posted in the thread anyway
I tried C&C 1 recently and man, it really expects you to know every map ahead of time. Basically every mission involves trial & error
Dunno how I ever beat that as an impatient kid
>I don't like how the new shopping cart makes it harder to take a screenshot
open your browser
go to steam
then go to your cart
hit ctrl + mwheel down
take screencap when everything fits
Taiwan funbucks, wish the games were cheaper to be honest
30ntd is like one us dollar
>I don't like how the new shopping cart makes it harder to take a screenshot
open your browser
go to steam
then go to your cart
hit ctrl + mwheel down
take screencap when everything fits
based third world currency shopper.
the fricking "price adjustment" bullshit that steam and developers pulled off is moronic.
Sweden which is a very rich country gets reduced prices, but some buttfrick poor country like Indonesia or Poland gets massively increased rape in the ass prices.
yeah, taiwan is a mix of both to be honest, indie games are extra cheap, AAA games are equally expensive as the west, and Japan seems to think we're a first world country and prices our games extra expensive, which is bullshit
dude, save yourself 60 bucks and just use duckstation/pcsx2 to emulate it yourself. Those MGS master collections are literally just isos and a shitty emulator. It works well emulated on the Steam Deck with pcsx2 and duckstation.
Liberal Crime Squad
download and guide are at http://lcs.wikidot.com/ >inb4 someone whines about politics on a political satire game
hard to beat, and will keep you occupied for hours, I haven't beat it personally even with constantly printing newspapers to maintain public opinion while having my hacking group swap safehouses to cool off heat.
Frankly I don't like vidiot games at all
have a nice day.
Don't have a nice day
I had no idea you could do that, neat
You're in the right place
Buy an ad, troony
i boughted 4-10 copies of
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2699520/_3/
ok, why?
i feel the need to financially support japanese indie developers
i dont even play the games
but we should buy it :)!
Give me it
What game has the cute anime girl with the cat ear hat? I'll buy that one.
Got these
Babbdi
Sludge life
Broken reality
Drop Road Redemption, absolute trash game. Just play Road Rash for 15 minutes instead.
got picrel only
this sale is severely lacking, none of my wishlisted stuff got put on a sale bigger than 35%
>svetlov
>panelki
HOLY SHIT those look good, as a babbdi fan I thank you for posting this haul bro
I was craving some more casual eastern blok urban exploration
Hell yeah. Loved babbdi
Ctrl-Alt-Ego
I bought ready or not.
Should I ?
I have 10€ left in my steam wallet if you have any ideas~
I found SubaHibi to be trash.
>Killer7
You're being rused.
Will I enjoy the Zero Escape games if I absolutely hated Danganronpa?
No.
>Playing the demastered 999
>Not playing it on the ds or emulating on phone
I hated DR but rather liked 999, the sequel is also fine, the last one is a disappointment. More than with it at that price as far as I'm concerned
His motives were… complex.
Are there any good slampig meat games?
sekiro
dragons dogma
good shit
FFXV, I played for 45 min but I think I am refunding
nothing
haven't bought a game since forza horizon 5
anything that looked interesting was also available cracked or plain free
I got
>Palworld but refunded for Monster Hunter World + Iceborne
>Left4Dead 1 & 2
>Fallout New Vegas
Was never a PCgay so i'm trying to catch up on some of the cheaper classics.
Got a 4070 TI super this month together with my 4k HDR tv.
What games should I play? Dead Space is top of my list.
Yakuza-gays,
What to do if I finished
> Yakuza: 0
> Kiwami 1 and 2
But not finished
> 3
Never played
> 4/5/6
Play or watch a recap of: 3/4/5
Definitely play: 6 and Gaiden
I don't know why people like this game: 7
Can play at any time and are kino: Judgment and Lost Judgment
Finish 3 and buy the bundle for 4/5/6.
I haven't played any of the other games, but Kingdom Coom is a 10/10 game if you don't get filtered by the combat.
4,5, and 6 are definitely worth playing, even if you'll skip 3. If you plan on playing 7, play it before Gaiden. Definitely check out Judgement and Lost Judgement at some point too
r8
Backlog filler detected
You will forever see them in your list of games but never make significant progress.
Just buy 1 bro, sales happen weekly
Kingdom Come is great if you mesh with the combat
Descenders is kinda meh. I mean it's decent, but it's no Tony Hawk if you're looking for something like that. Kind of repetitive despite the procedural generation. You should probably try playing that one first and see if you like it so you can refund it if you dont see yourself playing a lot of it
Hollow Knight is great
Inscryption is very fun but very le edgy indie analog horror meta game
Very trans
obsessed
no xister I mean it in the most positive way.
you're valid and strong and brave and stunning
>Lost Judgement on -66%
>Still a high price and its DLC costs as much as a full game and locks a style behind it
Nothing is on an actual good sale. Its all like -20%, expensive once you factor DLC or expensive intentionally so even on a high sale it costs a ton
Already returned Noctuary. It sounds and looks amazing, but seems like the story sucks. Had my first harvest in Sakuna, it is very fun so far and plays perfectly on Deck.
weeb shit
>Ys Origin
Excellent
Bought this game for my pussy
Are you a red haired female?
None, I already bought all the good ones
Nothing probably.
There is always a sale if you buy from keysellers.
Besides, it's either the same deal that has been offered the past 2 years or a recent game that is full of bugs.
Maybe i'll just get something from the square enix e-shop deals.
Is it worth it?
And I mean the time investment more than anything, I just want to have a good time.
I have never played a game of this genre but I'm curious about it.
It's fun. Bit of a learning curve at first, since it's the most mechanically compex civ game, but you can download some mods that make learning the ins and outs easier. I recommend Extended Policy Cards.
my goodness
P5 royal
What's the point in getting games on sale? They're just gonna sit in my library unplayed.
You only buy shit you're immediately looking to play. For everything else there's bundles and shit. This only works if you're into a variety of genres and games, though.
Buy and immediately start playing. Don't wait.
Gaming is for boys. Men become what the israelites and the tv call "addicts"."
I quit videogaming once I turned 20 and have been a heroin addict for 15 years.
Dragons dogma 2 (arrives in a week)
>troony's dogma featuring literal troony eceln
rent free
Of course I'm getting it, I played the first one like at least 15 times, huge fan. Oldgay from /ddg/ even.
No I want something comfy and turn based. Like a Final Fantasy game but less corny if you will. Or just different, I don't even know myself. I just want some sense of wonder.
Is it any good?
>the darkside detective
it's that 4th wall breaking humorous sort but also short and plays it safe with puzzles
Last game I truly loved was Armored Core 6.
go back and play older games. at some point everything homogenized to identical couple of molds every game seems to fit into. they're just wearing different skins now.
>kingdom come deliverance is just 8€
Should I get it if I just want to walk around in the woods and look at shit lol
One of the earlier missions has you go hunting with a bro in the woods and it's pretty good for that. Most paths make you go into the woods too. It only sucks that hunting is illegal a lot of the times, but you can circumvent that easily by just eating the meat and avoiding guards which is very easy to do
Almost bought a stock trading game, luckily someone I know bit the bullet and found out it was very buggy.
None
Sale fking sucks, nothing i want is over 50% i will a pizza instead
Haven't played either, want to play one of them.
Protips on picking?
Is there a 3rd option?
Is Graveyard Keeper good? Is it worth picking up the DLC?
anyone?
Yes, but it's very grindy. No idea about the DLC.
>nazi zombie army 4 is -88%
BASED
>Has $177.47 dollars in DLC
Poorgay
>"At the request of the publisher, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction™ Deluxe Edition is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search."
Did they removed the game?
It does appear in the bundle but listed as N/A.
For MonHun World, I want the Iceborne Master edition, right?
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/13013/Monster_Hunter_World_Iceborne_Master_Edition/
Yes, but buy it through fanatical, it's cheaper ($16.79).
Don't buy the deluxe editions, some of the items are cosmetics and the rest are useless (you'll get better gear during the game).
>Yes, but buy it through fanatical
No thanks, I don't like getting my steam account banned when the credit card scams on key sites get investigated
I will only get one but which one? I can't decide.
Fanatical is an official retailer and not a key site.
Thoughts?
Is Blasphemous worth it?
Hollow Knight is great. Condemned is not as good as you remember, I think it is not worth it.
Killer freq is good for what it is.
severed steel is one of those random games that caught my eye and I wound up playing it for 30 hours. wildly fun and innovative. if you like it the studio has a demo out for the next game called echo point nova which is possibly even more fun. whoever the guy was who designed the movement in those games absolutely killed it
titanfall 2 is also great but it was more fun when the multiplayer was popular. some very fun run and gun mechanics in it though. wish we got a titanfall 3 instead of 10 more CoDs but whatcha gonna do
Fanatical is owned by WB or some other big publisher. They're an authorized key seller.
Any new cute girl games since the last sale?
I already have Nobeta and all the usual suspects.
got some to recommend that you have already played?
>What games you getting?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1062110/UNSIGHTED/
Going to pick up the rest of the Astro Saga now that its on sale. Also going t look for other rare titles that only go on sale with Steam Sales direct
Also anons may want to remember that Humble has their Leap Year Sale still going on and for anything sold there it may be a better price epecially if you have Choice discounts. Won't cover everything, but do the comparison.
What are some games with girls to fall in love with?
A Space for the Unbound.
How's this?
would drop days gone. Not very good.
gay, it's great.
It's fine for $12.50 but I wouldn't pay more than that for it.
Day's Gone is one of the best games released in recent years, mostly on the back of its story and characters. It's not brilliant, but it was at least written by adults for adults, and not over grown babies sick with irony and politics. The gameplay is solid too if you play with the difficulty up and the assists down.
>What games you getting?
hrt and Ganker pass
Not liking how much wasted space there is on the cart site now, makes it much worse for screenshots
Anyway, r8 my shit
I got Bureau for free and I still want a refund.
If Valdis is the game I'm thinking of, I dropped it because it had animation cancel button as the core of the combat, but didn't even bother explaining it in-universe. Just call it the "eight-fold way" or some bullshit.
I know Bureau is shit but I played it ages ago and wanna do it again
Duelists of Eden
WHY YHE FRICK IS CIV 5 NOT ON SALE BUT CIV 6 IS?!?! AAAAHHHHHHH
Civ VI is better
i have played the same 4 games over and over for the past 8 years
Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress?
Dorf
Rimworld good too though
Rimworld.
Rimworld!
Rimworld first and then get Dwarf if you liked Rimworld
Both are equally amazing and essentially the same. One's traditional medieval fantasy and the other is sci-fi. If you can only pick one, choose the game which uses a setting you find dearest to your heart.
i bought post void because I got a notification that it was on sale. it was like, 80 cents off. totally forgot I wishlisted it but it's pretty fun, absolutely worth $3
Yeah Post Void is great. You better actually fricking clear it though, and not b***h out. Should only take you 2 hours to beat once.
I just impulse bought Ginga Force/Natsuki Chronicles bundle because it was ~2.60
considering NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered
Might as well throw in a COD game too, normalgay
Posting recommendations again.
Sorry for the long list. I really like games.
Forgot my damn image.
>liking video games
look at this pretentious homosexual
>Ghost Master
Hot damn, I should play that again.
Based vidya enjoyer.
>elden ring not on sale
>granblue not on sale
>persona 3 not on sale
what the FRICK are these Black folk waiting for
might get rdr2 though
>See turn based JRPG on sale
>buy it because the music/art style looks cool
>get bored after like 10 hours.
>repeat
How do I escape this vicious cycle?
Play a non-turn based one
play Ys games
Nah
Buy good gamed. There are good jrpgs.
No there aren't
You are wrong.
Nope.
Incorrect.
Name a single one
Because I'm a weeb and keep telling myself I should like jrpgs.
Meant for
maybe try out a different genre?
Why do you insist on playing games you so obviously do not enjoy?
Because Ganker keeps shilling them to me
the deals are kind of bad, I guess I'll pick up VVVVVV since it's already cheap
What's Trepang2 like? Should I get if I just wanna shoot stuff
>if I just wanna shoot stuff
yes. it's fun but it falls into a few of the pitfalls of other linear FPS games of the early 2000s. your commlink or whatever never shuts up and the downtime between missions is a touch long but the core shooting is damn solid
>After all these year buying games on steam sale...
i add stuff to my wishlist that I have no intention to buy just so i can watch the sale price and imagine buying something
are you me? I also do that
i am also year 19
Gee I love cart rate threads! Let's see all the same fricking people posting again!
>moronic burnout who whines about his inability to enjoy video games
>Pirategays who don't actually play the games they pirate joining a thread they do not like and are now surrounded by people they don't agree with. How could this be happening to them?
>Idiot living under a rock asking if shit like Human Revolution is worth it???? to farm replies from dumber people saying "WOAH IT'S SO GOOD"
>Hey guys, here's my cart filled with eight shovelware animu~~~desu!!!! slop games that NOBODY has ever heard of and are garbage!! I'm asking for recommendations despite the fact that I'm only playing these to jerk off and never actually cared about their quality!! Should I buy Suwari Space Advance Collapse::Future Unreal:Love 00?
>Effortposters offering reviews and recommendations to games that aren't popular (based!)
>Droolcuppers wondering why flavor of the months and continually successful new and quasi-new games either have no sale or a shitty sale
>morons asking for sale status because gg.deals is too hard of a url for them to remember
trigger status: triggered
Undecided on Lords of the Fallen. I like designs of what I've seen from it but don't know much more since I try to avoid spoilers.
Lords of the fallen is OK at best. I got annoyed by a few things like quest design, but they fixed a fair amount of shit over patches.
I have heard about the same as
says. Lords of the fallen is okay at best, but if you really like Soulstype then you will have to play some okay games
Get Lies of P instead
I don't like the way the protagonist looks and how he moves. Something about it just rubs me the wrong way.
Thanks, sounds like it's just not for me then. Enemy and world designs are the main reasons I played the FromSoftware stuff.
Have you played Sekiro?
Yeah, on Isshin at the moment. Haven't done Hatred yet but his fight's monotonous enough I got bored after a few attempts.
Also recommend Lies of P. If you don't like looking at Timothy Chalamet just put on the Donkey head you get like half an hour into the game
Though the Jedi game is pretty good too
all the SNK gaems
I bought all the SBI games on the steam just to make chuds seethe.
May get octopath 2
Can't decide whether I should by something expensive or a bunch of cheap stuff. Help me out here bros -
Option 1 : Just BG3
Option 2 : Just Cyberpunk+expansion
Option 3 : Dead Space+Re : Village
Option 4 : Hades + Nier + DMC 5 + Project Zomboid + Jedi Fallen Order
Zomboid isn't worth it imo
Zomboid's fun with mods.
Zomboid is kino with some qol mods. Content mods are usually unbalanced as shit
option 3, especially if you have a good pc. RE looks amazing even today, it's the most stunning game I have ever played
Frick, I know we are not supposed to buy remakes or remasters, but System Shock looks right up my alley
>we are not supposed to
Stop spending your life trying to live up to the expectations of a hivemind you fricking Black person
Why are you talking to yourself like that? There are just you here. Ganker is literally one person
thoughts? need Steam Deck games
Can't speak about how it works on modern systems but Saboteur is immensely great. A must-play
Saboteur was really shit.
w-who do I believe?
me
him
Probably only gonna get two or maybe three of them at best, and then wait til next time.
Though which ones to pick is the question.
keep katamari and migu.
Any good metroidvanias or roguelikes in that style? Looking for ones with magic or ranged weapons as an option
So far playing bloodstained, dead cells and Blaspheomus
>Looking for ones with magic or ranged weapons as an option
Are you saying that just to avoid Hollow Knight?
Oh no, I have that too. But I'm not really enjoying it. It seems sort of too fast paced for me
Ori, your only weapon is ranged
This, but Ori isnt about the combat really
what
CAPTCHA:GOYPMR
In what style?
That one.
Um. any? I don't get what you mean
>Any good metroidvanias or roguelikes in that style?
This implies you are referring to something specific, like you forgot to post a pic of a game or quote a post about a game.
Anon, I'm pretty sure he meant a roguelike in the style of a metroidvania
should have put a comma after "metroidvanias"
>comma before or if it isn't a dependent phrase
>isn't a dependent
>Any good roguelikes in that style?
He meant a roguelike in the style of a metroidvania
JRPGs with a good story?
Trails, Nier, or emulate something
Astalibra dlc worth getting?
Also how is Blasphemous?
recommend me a game that looks like shit but is good
Fell Seal
Jesus Christ did nobody think the contrast was TOO harsh here
Ratuz
thoughts?
10/10
Doom eternal is vastly different from doom2016. I personally really liked doom2016 and was disapointed with doom eternal
any objections?
TR:A is kinda boring, but for that price, who cares.
Tomb raider anniversary sucks. It's the one game I own that I regret. Spend your time playing either the original emulated or the recent remaster/remake
tell me something to buy PLEASE
Buy Northern Journey
Not sure about Doom Eternal
Recomend me a good jrpg that can run in a toaster with no graphic card
Tactics Ogre maybe? if not just emulate some older games.
The remake is too demanding
I played the snes ver. years ago and barely remember anything
10 bucks for a PS1 game?
Never played prodeus but HROT in max difficult was really fun
Saga Frontier could run on my graphic cardless thinkpad
Prodeus or HROT?
Neither, both are boring as frick.
which corpse party is the good one, i see there's a remake?
>that VN
The e-girl in this pic is freakishly lewd and once disguised herself as a teenage girl, fricked a boy until he nearly came, transformed back saying
>You thought you were having sex with a highschooler weren't you? I'm an elementary schooler all along!
And leglocks that boy, forcing him to cum inside her unprotected, when he screams in fear upon learning this. This isn't even getting into the tentacles, the gay sex, the lesbian sex, the incest, the sequel's mother/daughter lesbian scene, etc. The first chapter alone contains lots of lesbian sex scenes with an unavoidable girl jerking off in the bathroom. Truly horror is intrinsically connected with sexuality.
i asked which version to get you homosexual not an entire spoiler of the game
corpse party is an eroge? the frick??
Tomboy idols!
i really wish we didn't let pedo weebs make video games
It's a meme you dip
Only bough pic related will play it whilst waiting for Dragons dogma 2 to release
have fun looking for clues to unlock the extra classes until you give up and look up a guide
buy or no
Desperados 3 dev died, in case you care about that kinda stuff
idk, is there anything to care about? all i know is they seem(ed?) very passionate about the genre. was there any drama about them shutting down?
Didn't sell enough to keep going, basically
I just gifted 10 people Suicide Squad in the anti SBI curator group.
>look at my wishlist
>see all kinds of weird indie games and AAA goyslop
I really wonder why I added some of those games
>see interesting game
>"I guess I'll add it to check it out later"
>323 games on wishlist
997 on mine but i probably wont buy any
I'm dangerously close to buying diablo iv rn
>diablo iv
Dont buy blizzslop. Just be prepared to pony up $100 for a dlc and even more boring gameplay.
I'm still on the lookout for some games where demons and angels beat each other appart from Darksiders and Bayonetta. I also looked at some gamepaly of SMT and it looked terrible no wonder I never play jarpigs. I also wish Hellgate London wasn't fricked on Steam
bumping this
In wonder boy the character is stiff and feels heavy, some platforming set pieces are guaranteed to get you damaged but who gives a frick, items boost defence. Overall it's nice
Darksiders Genesis is pretty fun, I played an hour leaned back with my xbox controller which is something I normally don't do.
DS1 I'll probably play in a few days.
Any other reccs?
i'm not a weeb at all and played SMT 1 last year and it was pretty neat
the maze map shit gets really old though
Noita for 9,50, yay or nay?
that's kind of a israeli price for how old it is now but it's probably still worth it. I liked it a lot i just wasnt autistic enough to power through to the end
Can I get some arcadey recs? Stuff like Frogger, Mario Bros arcade, Donkey Kong arcade, Joust, Balloon Fight, etc?
depend on what you want exactly?
this game is straight cade port to pc
doesnt get more arcadey than that.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/633110/FAST_BEAT_LOOP_RACER_GT__GT/
I appreciate the rec, but I listed all 2D mostly single screen type games, and that's more what I'm looking for. Something retro in its simplicity and look but made recently, so maybe has some newer mechanics introduced. Infinitely replayable, maybe score attackey, I don't know. The pacman championship games and Antonball are good examples, but I have them already.
Duck Game
Seems alright, I remember it being a streamer favorite for a while. That's more like a multiplayer flash game, I want something I can play alone on the go, multiplayer would just be a cool bonus.
>load cart with early 1990s MS-DOS kusoge published by Ziggurat
>buy it
>never play it
What should I drop?
Anita Sarkeesian was involved in Crypt of the Necrodancer.
kakarot
it wasnt that fun honestly
drop FF7R
keep FF7R
out of the cart
and into your car
removed SMAC and call to power 2 since i had both om gog
pull thre trigger?
>Lunatic Dawn
This is you.
This is a picture of you.
I am posting your picture right here, Anon.
Alright. Pulled the trigger.
Anon why, there's no way you'll play all those before the next sale
the $10 bundle is the only way to buy any of the command and conquer games on steam, anon
anyways, it was only 6 different items
My mistake. Good deal then.
You're posting a picture of Slayer you fricking moron
literally who?
CnC
fricken based lad
Any good monster collecting games THAT ARE NOT PALWORLD on sale? I'm playing through Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince on my Switch but I'm going to be itching for more monster collectan when I'm done.
Monster Sanctuary
Any kind of jrpg/weeb dungeon crawler type games like .hack?
do I have to be a minmaxing autist to enjoy this?
Isn't this a game similar to Dwarf Fortress? Where the whole point is to build up to an inevitable catastrophe? What'd be the point of minmaxing if watching a colony collapse is a major point of fun?
Not at all
The steam page on my phone is in a weird language, and I don't know why...
That's what you get for buying Huawei.
Yeah, guess it's something to do with it being a chink brand. Still, Valve should fix this.
Been skipping on the Chairman Xi's daily veneration time.
Bro your credit score...
Get it or forget it?
get it
kino kino kino
I heard Crystal Project was FFV but better and I'm willing to give it a try. I don't know about the other 2 but they were on my wishlist.
Crosscode is fricking excellent
>Crosscode is fricking excellent
>Crosscode is great.
Why is Ganker full of pathological liars? That game is pure shit.
Why are you lying?
Why is your mother a fat prostitute?
My mother is scrawny af.
Most of Ganker has no standards for writing and values quantity over quality. Crosscode fans are like Golden Sun and Trails fans, where good presentation and the game's insistence of its supposed scope and depth means it's good.
Crosscode is great. Crystal Project is also great, but it's a game all about exploration with barely any story. Great game if "oh nice I can get to this place now" sounds good to you
I'm in the mood for some ubislop to play while turning my brain off
Should I go for Far Cry 4, 5 or 6?
3 is widely accepted to be the best option
not into 2d games so best i can suggest is Gris
though i doubt its something you might want since its a platformer
I already played FC3 (and 2 and 1) over a decade ago
Platformers are great, I mentioned at least three...
Get 5 and then mod it
Think I'll be getting these
Is the Dead Space remake any good? How does it run? I remember hearing it had problems at release.
Don't know why steam changed its mobile cart layout but thanks, I hate it.
These will be all unless someone can convince me No more heroes trilogy is good and worth the money.
meh no more heroes is style over substance
They changed web cart layout too
I've also got Arx Fatalis, BG1, and Disco Elysium. Any other good RPG's i'm missing out on?
Just going through all the classics, huh?
Dragon Age Origin
KotOR
Witcher
Played KotoR, but i'll grab DA:O
Shadowrun looks neat, i'll grab it
Shit man that blows, i appreciate the heads-up. Might be a pirate situation for ME then
Completely blanked on Arcanum, appreciate the reminder anon. Will check out Age and Inquisitor, both look interesting.
Cheers lads! Enjoy the sale
Something more modern I'd throw in Shadowrun Hong Kong, or Divinity OS
I wouldn’t get the ME collection, you need to create an Origin account and login every time you wanna play.
Arcanum?
Age of Decadence? (i cant vouch for this one)
Inquisitor(le hidden gem, flawed but unique)
>Age of Decadence? (i cant vouch for this one)
I can, great game made for multiple playthroughs
>Inquisitor(le hidden gem, flawed but unique)
Based. Just make sure to actually get the game called Inquisitor, search is gonna probably find Inquisitor: Martyr first
been losing the drive to play vidya the last few weeks bros...
Go back to some old classics you used to play a lot.
Happened to me for like a year.
is right. I started playing PS2 emulator and felt joy again.
It's okay to not play vidya for a while and then come back to it. You could also be losing interest in what you usually enjoy because you are putting off important shit in your life.
I don't allow myself to buy new games because I barely touch a tenth of what I buy during these sales
Ender Lilies
Undertale
Bloodstained
Cave Story
Dyson Sphere Program
VA-11 HALL-A
Axiom Verge
Can anyone give me the rundown on those games?
ender lilies is apparently a 2d soulslike
vallgalla is a good vn about drink mixing
bloodrayne is decent games
>soulslike
aw hell naw
Ender Lilies is a Metroidvania, the only "soulslike" it has is that you can make "builds" with the spirits you unlock, plus some bosses may filter you if you don't know what you're doing but it's a pretty good game thought, i finished it recently and it was very fun
>turn on Steam
>see this
cuckold exposed
Good taste spotted
Are the MGS games on Steam good ports?
That means you’re a mentally ill chud.
If you are being recommended a cuckold game it is because an algorithm has mathematically determined you to be a cuckold.
>Stigmatized Property
Chilla's Art is pretty decent, and if you don't like one of their games you can usually beat it in under 2 hours and refund kek
thoughts on any of the following games? i'm looking for something to sink hours into but is also light to pick up and drop. kind of like x-com games.
>Rimworld
>Dwarf Fortress
most likely keeping but learning curve seems wayy up higher than i want to bother right now.
>Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition
have non-definitive so will probably be dropped unless it's worth it
>CIV: VI
want to keep but on the fence.
>The Forest
>Project Zomboid
>7 Days to Die
three zombie games i'm looking into. may get one or none. i want a fun zombie game.
>Steamworld Dig 2
>seems nice, keeping prob
>DF and Rimworld
Very similar games. I'd pick DF over Rimworld if you can only do one. But Rimworld is slightly "simpler"
>Civ VI
Civ V is better in almost every way.
>The Forest, Zomboid, 7DtD
Of these, The Forest is probably my favourite, but its a story focused experience that has an end point. I like it the best of these, but I personally don't like Top Down games. Zomboid is the best of the bunch if you do, its mechanics and systems are just better than the others in every way once you learn them. 7DtD is dated, extremely so. Its the epitomy of Early Access jankfest that will never be finished.
Rimworld is much better than Dwarf gaytress.
hard agree
i like both but if i HAD to pick one it's rimworld easily
it just has such a big mod scene that it never ever gets boring
Rimworld doesn't have zlevels so DF wins.
>muh z-levels
You never run out of building space in Rimworld since the game isn't bloated with a bunch of useless crap
>Civ V is better in almost every way.
It's also the only civ game not on sale...
Why not?
jews
Always them.
When will augmented steam get fixed to work with the new add to cart button?
Bros.. I'm so tired of roguelites... Do indie devs make real games anymore?
You should try Duelists of Eden
Very ironic post since I dumped the original game for being yet another roguelite. This one is just what, a fighting game? Arguably worse since it's also a non traditional fighting game meaning it'll have a single digit playerbase.
Is that inspired by Mega Man Battle Network?
Did anyone here dislike this game or the first? Why?
Too pseud.
Got dragons dogma and am taking my sweet time with it. Hope I don't get rekt by DD2 spolers next week
p fun so far
What's poppin' sisters!
Talos Principal 2 is half price and I love my first person puzzle games (I'm not smart enough to understand the pseud "are robots human" dialogue so I just let the message logs play while not getting angry) Is it worth a buy?
Is there anything worth getting that can't be pirated? Not mmorpgs but like games where online component is important or cool like dark souls
hmm maybe BattleBit
Is it good?
it's a pretty good time, just don't expect a super serious fps because it's quite zany and kill times are microscopic
the smaller playercount modes are more tactical, and the bigger ones are just a fricking circus
it's definitely worth $7.50
Thanks for the input, anon. Might wait on it, or at least give the demo a shot to see if it turns me off
SF6 hard to get into? I really like Juri but have never played fighting games before.
It's never been easier to get into fighting games than SF6 and there's still a large playerbase in every major region.
If you’ve never played fighting games before how come Steam recommended you two fighting games. Both of them are piss easy to learn.
It got recommended via steam tags, which are notoriously shit. If he played anything that included fighting then that would get recommended.
I downloaded a granblue demo a couple months ago and never went further than starting one of the tutorials because the visuals put me off
The visuals are beautiful, you have bad taste
It's incredibly easy to get into and still has a decent amount of low rank players you could learn against. Highly recommend it.
Yes
Thinking of dropping fairy fencer f.
Drop everything, it’s all trash.
Drop?
Add?
Add Expedition dlc for UnderRail, it will make the whole game better.
Brigador and Silent Storm are great.
How much does it change? I was thinking to get vanilla and if I liked it get the expansion, is really that much of a difference?
It's not so much about change but added content. It basically offers a side campaign with branching story lines in a different "overworld", and also new weapon types, skills and higher level cap.
Lots of discussion online will presume you have the dlc installed.
It might not really be necessary for a first playthrough (the base game is already massive), but I recommend it.
Thoughts?
lil bro is using scifi credits to buy his steam games
Oh shit I was spotted
if you like the previous one i guess you will enjoy it i had to run off gearscore mechanic and most of the hud elements to enjoy it pretty good to just wander around and kill shit
Are there any games I get to drive a Sturmgeschütz III besides online slops like world of tanks and warthunder?
i need a good single player game to sink some hours into
can anyone recommend me something
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1127700/Reverse_Collapse_Code_Name_Bakery/
The next fest demo for this one was really good
this guy
Are the senran kagura games any good? I like huge anime breasts and can tolerate musou shit if there's some depth and customization.
>depth and customization
only for clothes
the characters just level up a bit and unlock some extra moves in their moveset
the best one imo is estival versus as it has lots of levels and characters but some of the others that came to steam later might look a bit better graphically
they don't play like typical musou either, you kill mobs until some other ninja girls come out to fight, there's no real tactics to the map at all
i thought peach beach splash was garbage and i can't recommend that one at all
What was the last game that absorbed you into another world? I feel like I need to care about the story and I haven't played a game like that for a long time
I got pretty invested in Rise of a Third Power.
Lies of P nailed atmosphere for me. Felt like playing a modern bioshock 1 for the first time.
God of War 3 but that's not on steam kek
Yakuza Gaiden I got pretty into the story too
Dead Space remake I was into the world but not the story so much
Do you NEED a story? I got absorbed into Kenshi but it doesn't really have a plot.
Did that indie Japanese robot game where you explore some sinking ruins with the weird ass title ever get released?
I wanted Nights of Azure 2 but it's not on sale
Koei Tecmo are honestly really israelites with what games will go on sale or not. I was hoping to pick up the PC port of Toukiden 2, but the damn thing has not been on a sale for like a year now.
>Octopath 2 randomly not on sale anymore
All right
It's just the bundle for 1, they probably fricked up and did it for 2 accidentally. I don't want the shitty walking life or whatever, so frick the japs I'll just pirate it.
Yeah, may buy Live a Live instead
Octopath 1 and 2 have insane prices on steam for what they are.
Yeah, they should be more expensive, way too much content for that price.
No I meant the opposite!!!!!!!!
Thinking about it.
Bought XCom 2 complete collection, which DLC I shouldn't install?
Also, any opinions of The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante? Some people have 100 hours in the game, how long and replayable is it?
the only debatable one is alien hunters because the alien rules are Black folk who have the potential to be far more disruptive than the chosen
Should I play with the Chosen on my first playthrough? The store page makes them sound like b***hes too.
Have you played any of the nu-com games before? If you haven't it might be best to do a zero DLC run to get into the swing of things.
Losing a soldier here and there, or even a whole mission is not usually a game ending setback.
>scroll down to recommended vidya
>get this
looks putrid to look at, but they're probably totally fair recommendations for having 100s of hours in Quake 3, Trackmania, Dawn of War and Dark Souls PTDE
Brigador is great.
Thoughts on these?
Definitely getting Katamari
I wouldn't pay for Chrono Trigger, emulate it
I ain’t moron like you
I'll buy Chrono Trigger and play it for the first time in my life in memory of Master Toriyama!
I'll just do that, was already on the fence about getting the port anyways.
Is nier replicant worth buying or should I just emulate the original instead?
it's better in every way compared to the original.
except kaine looks like michael jackson
Plays and looks better than the original, plus it has some added content. I think it's worth it.
>not posting the webm
>not posting the cuter webm
where's her game
>her
America moment
Sale prices are mid.
So I've been adding games to my ignore list like crazy.
Then commenting in their discussion section that I just added it to my ignore list and watching the devs sperg out at me
Wait is final fantasy xvi seriously not on steam yet?
it's not even on pc
Any good indie racing games?
I've played Slipstream, Horizon Chase, BeamNG, BallisticNG
I just bought every Final Fantasy game except 11 and 14
if you bought the 13-2 and 3 you fricked up
I already had those and liked them
oh boy, since you liked those you'd like any game you'd ever play
god bless, i'd love to be like that
Whatever, buddy.
i'm complimenting you on your ability to enjoy anything regardless of its quality. It's amazing and i'm impressed
I was about to say "GAWD" but then realized you bought FF13 and 15 which ruins your mighty deed.
I kinda want to buy XII and maybe VI
XII is trash.
I already had the mobile version of VI on steam, now I have the pixel remaster one too. I missed the mobile version of V though, now those are removed from the store. XII is great.
What is the laptop/PC model for the person who hates Steam, hates the PC gaming, hates Gabe Newell, hates Valve, hates the Steam Deck and wants an anti-steam and anti-gaming laptop/PC?
apple silicon macbook
reasons why A macbook is the ideal laptop/pc for the person who hates steam and hates gaming PC?
Just some weird indie stuff from my wishlist, nothing else caught my eye tbqh
I bought every Sonic game on there now I'm the real Michael Jackson
>now I'm the real Michael Jackson
whose kid did you touch
>Resonance of fate not on sale
Damn, it really looks interesting
it's not good. The combat is dumb as shit and the customization makes no sense. The world is neat, though.
>the world is neat
That's enough for me nowadays tbh. I hope the combat is at least serviceable.
got RPGmaker 2003 because this time ill finally make my game, surely this time. 100% finally gonna do it.
maybe.
I'm on the fence with rimworld, can anyone convince me to get it or not?
Do you like base building? Managing your characters? Do you like feeling self sufficient, building and developing everything yourself? Do you like having to deal with random issues like the flu, parasites, and more? If so you might like Rimworld.
or you watch Reggie's Rimworld videos and let those convince you.
It's a game where you wrangle a bunch of morons while shit constantly hits the fan
Spelunky 2 isn't on sale again...
Slay the Princess $1 off from what it was yesterday,
Hijacking for the fanatical sale, but is the alien isolation collection and lost judgment collection worth picking up? I like yakuza
Im kinda tempted, please help me bros i dont want to give blizzard money
don't
how much is that in American
There are far better ARPGs out there, if you really want to play a diablo game go get the second one.
>Requires 3rd-Party Account: Battle.net Account
if that isn't a red flag telling you not to get it, then you've already failed
kek jedi fallen order is on sale 90% and i still wont buy that slop cause what disney did to the franchise
any better deals in key resellers sites?
i bought
deus ex 1$
helldivers 4$
katamari reroll like 7$
any harem or game where you can date big titted girls? Please no weg scams reccs
I want to frick that anime girl.
This worth picking up for $40? the only Star Ocean games Ive played were Till the End of Time and The Last Hope
>last cope
how the FRICK do i change the resolution on my cart page
i cant fit everything in 1 screenshot
alright i fixed it
what goes in and what goes out?
only have 30$ to spend
Drop Dark Sector, it's not on sale
Original Assassin's Creed isn't as good as 2 or Black Flag, but it feels more like you're actually an assassin. I think it's worth playing, but if you're on the fence I might drop it.
Chrono Trigger port supposedly still has issues, just emulate it
Monkey Island is great
Bulletstorm was kinda overrated, but I still had fun with it
was debating getting Deus ex. Ganker boomers convinced me that they're moronic nostalgiatards tho.
will probably definitely get RE5 to play with an anon I promised id play with
If you assume people like something just because of "nostalgia", you are the one being moronic.
out of all of the torture star/ puppet combo games on steam, which 2 would you guys recommend I get as a person who hasn't played them before?
Got no no Kuni 1 & 2. Always wanted to play these two. Haven't started them yet but I'm a bit afraid they, like most jrpgs, might be too easy even on the hardest difficulty. Are there well know balance mods for this game or if theyr even necessary?
>wants a challenging game
>buys Ni no Kuni
m8 these games are ridiculously easy, even for jrpgs. I suspect it was made to be super easy because it’s meant to be played specifically by younger children and not adults.
Eh, it is what it is. I prefer challenging games. But it's not a deal breaker. I like a decent hero's journey story too.
I don't know what to get. I'm burnt out on games. Recommend me a game that will repair my love for games again anons. Something so special and unique that you think should be played by everyone.
FFXV
CD:DA Bright Nights fork
Install UNDEAD_PEOPLE as your tileset, and @'s soundpack.
And don't fricking whine about the controls or graphics. It's free and fun, and you morons for some reason despise getting over the learning curve of controls when they come in handy long term.
Enjoy building your own deathmobiles and shooting the piss out of lovecraftian monsters (Mi-Go's, Krecks, etc) and zombies.
And if this isn't "enjoyable" then you got filtered to be a moron with shit taste.
>inb4 "muh shill" despite the game costing nothing and being free.
hmpf.. looks like shit. thanks anyway
>looks like shit
hello homosexual, sorry that you need bingbing wahoo graphics to have any form of fun.
the menu is fricking simple, like it should be, so why the frick are you complaining? Do you want some "immersive graphiks" mess of a menu like this?
fricking yappington city over here
That's not a menu. That's a BCU ICU Monitor, as clearly stated in the upper left corner. Basically a bunch of telemetry/stats/info on your character. Which you would have known had you played Scum. But you didn't. How many games let you shit your pants? Well, in Scum you can while playing the banjo.
Shut the frick up, nerd
I hope you shit your pants in your sleep
you know it's bad when one of SCUM's selling points is toilet humour and their "supporter pack" allowing you to shit out a dildo and attach it to a spear.
Finished up my Final Fantasy collection (so far) and bought Bamham Origins. Spent about 50 bucks.
I bought $70 of vidya during winter sales didnt play a single one cuz samegayging on /v is x100 more entertaining
Why is Hat Kid always so expensive? I just want some dickyge dammit
How many games do you guys have on Steam?
Yes
About 700, why?
Damn, and here I am feeling bad for having 300.
I use steam as low-cost retail therapy because games are pretty cheap and shopping for and trying out new games even if for a couple of hours keeps the anxiety at bay.
How so?
When I have a period of high stress I browse the discovery queue, shop around for prices on some cheap game I like, buy and play for a few hours. It distracts me from my severe health anxiety
dude, i can relate.
good luck to you.
Thanks.
My latest thing is that my throat decided to get what is known as a "globus sensation" where it feels like my throat has something stuck in it and is closing. Docs think it's anxiety.
I am don't worry anon.
I love day of the tentacle
If you want cheap memorable fun I would recommend the classic lucas arts point & click adventures like "Day of the Tentacle" and "Full Throttle".
Dude wtf you have an issue seek fricking help you goddamn freak your not normal

just pirate them homosexual.
if you like either then you pay the sloppa price.
worth for 26.79 USD?
it can wait
How'd I do?
I'm really on the fence about command and conquer and I don't know why. I remember the single player actually being decently fun.
I tried C&C 1 recently and man, it really expects you to know every map ahead of time. Basically every mission involves trial & error
Dunno how I ever beat that as an impatient kid
I noticed that as children we were both way more moronic and way more patient.
any gay guys want to erp and play add me

Jesus what hyperinflated currency is that?
Taiwan funbucks, wish the games were cheaper to be honest
30ntd is like one us dollar
I know how to zoom out, it just looks UGLEH
based third world currency shopper.
the fricking "price adjustment" bullshit that steam and developers pulled off is moronic.
Is Stray worth it? I need something comfy to play at night.
>when you have a 1000 game library and nothing is on sale for you
I'm close to this point. It seems kind of liberating.
Master Collection work fine on Deck without mods? Know it need mods on Desktop for a real resolution.
dude, save yourself 60 bucks and just use duckstation/pcsx2 to emulate it yourself. Those MGS master collections are literally just isos and a shitty emulator. It works well emulated on the Steam Deck with pcsx2 and duckstation.
Give me your maximum autism recommendations. And yes, I already have Factorio, From the Depths, and Stormworks
