Somebody has to fund them so people like you can pirate them.
Oh boy are you one stupid mother fricker. Stop buying porn games you moronic waste of sperm. Pirate these poor excuses for games off F95 next time.
Did you seriously delete your post just to fix typos? How new are you?
same. I also got a steam deck. feels like I must consoom to fill that void but I dunno which to get since I think I got so many games already
COVID isn't real.
Lol I remember in early 2020 when this was the actual sentiment among the alt-right/joe roganite crowd. Good times
Well it's certainly not real anymore. Everyone just moved on to the next thing.
>implying it still isn't the sentiment
there is no such thing as COVID, it's just a flu variant that people get every year, which is why flu diagnoses plummeted to 0 or near zero in most areas, because they renamed it
Ironic shitposting is still shitposting.
Stop pretending to be moronic.
sorry you are a NPC, and also a newbie, because you cannot "shitpost" on a website with no user registration, accounts, profiles, post count, etc.
well early 2020 /misc/ was going hysterical over it and saying it was airborne aids, then when it was being taken seriously they did a 180 and starting saying it was nothing because /misc/ is really only defined by being contrarian.
Why didn't you just get the vaccine
He did get it, that's what it's killing him.
It's just the flu, anon, so play your new games without fear. Seriously. Most of Rona's younger "victims" actually die from worry, vaccine damage, intubation, and alcohol. Or even some other disease.
Play an arcade game like Galacticon. Its back-to-basics simplicity will reawaken your animal survival instinct.
Want to recommend deus ex to most anons, skipped almost every single rpg back in the day because i though they played like shit compared to regular fps, tried deus ex a while ago and it's awesome, also pretty cheap
Recommend me some horror games or jrpgs Gankerros
>horror games
Alien Isolation, Dead Space 1 & 2, Resident Evil remastered
Now that Steam has porn games, what are some games I can get where I can watch depictions of adult (not underage) [I am attracted to adult women and do not want any suggestions for "stylized" little girls] {I don't want any fricked up inhuman looking moeblob things either} women urinating?
Also how do I hide the porn games in my library and when I start playing them without going offline?
>Also how do I hide the porn games in my library and when I start playing them without going offline?

It would be simple to implement and they'd sell more, come on Gaben you should know this
Recommend me games based of my current cart

Pick the daggers over heavy weapons in Bound by Flame or you are in for a bad time.
Never played a monster hunter game? Which one should I try? Rise or World?
Buy Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Is it still as buggy as it was at release?
Rise is newer, world is prettier.
No if you use the unofficial patch 1.5

Amazing cart. Drop House Party then it's perfect.
You should buy Sleeping Dogs twice
Not that anon. And give Shit Enix more money for not greenlighting a sequel because it performed "below expectations"? No thanks.
True, pirate it twice instead.
Based. That game deserves so much better.
[s]Jackie[/s] deserved better
Well not really but you know what I mean
Haha I do. Man I hate Square.
Wait, I thought you could abbreviate spoiler tags on Ganker, wtf?
Let me try
Did it work?
Hey it does. nice
Guess you have to put in the full spoiler for it to work.
hello kermit the frog here

it's really cheap, you can buy it
True, buy and pirate it twice each.
Speaking of Village, when will Capcom release the 3rd person camera update again? I am waiting for that.
October 28
Huh, guess I'll just get the game during Black Friday then.
If you really want House Party, you'll also need the uncensor DLC
Resident evil god denuvo
ok so apparently some mods decided to block my IP range on Ganker only, which I don't know why because I rarely post on Ganker to begin with.

No shame on that, literally only 0.5% of human beings on Earth have any experience with zero gravity.

if you're really into eurojank get it
Is the Abe's Oddysee steam port alright? How do you guys like that game?
Is this a good cart?
Perfect cart. There's literally nothing wrong with it. Maybe add Half-Life 2 if you haven't played it but that's it.
I have half life 2 already
I was thinking of swapping Hylics 2 for Rain World but I heard that the latter can be frustrating and tedious at times
If you're buying Hylics 1 is best to just buy the sequel too. It's better in every way.
then i'll just pull the trigger right now, thanks anon

Is X4 worth playing now?
Same question, X4 looks neat.
Is it less boring than Elite Dangerous?
Liked parts of Elite, but the constant flying in a straight line to travel got boring fast. Felt like Euro Truck Simulator without roads and varied scenery.
X4 is more like mount and blade or kenshi or something, while you can do it all yourself it's about getting people to do it for you as you grow your power.
Can I fly a big battleship?
You can get big ships but you don't really get the game for the combat, it's an autism sim.
Is there anything else out there that is like it but better?
Starfield I hope.
$6 for turn-BASED monster taming metroidvania kino. You have no excuse.
sorry anon, I only play monster taming metroidvania kino if it's weird schizo shit like beraltors

your game looks like shite m8
it's fricking awful, I love it.
It starts off fun but gets a little too repetitive and meh as it goes on.
how is everspace 2 ?
Sleeping Dogs just honestly was not that good if you're being honest with yourselves
L + no face + got into this business for yourself + go shove a bok choi up your ass + frick you + why don't you have a pork bun in your hand + why don't you show some god damn respect?
It's not like a 10/10 masterpiece or anything, but it absolutely deserves a sequel. Hell even a series.
Better than modern rockstar games.
So here's the final total. Only one i've played so far is a little bit of yakuza zero which I've liked.
As far as recs/stuff i'd shill?

talking about images what games for the feel in that image?
my childhood friend, coworker and teammate of an office lady soccer tomboy with a weak bladder simulator that I'm going to make as soon as the headaches go away
haha
both games seems genuinely fun, and i think the art style is breddy gud. snagging both for $11 seems like a good deal. any anons want to give me a quick review?
Surreal and nonsensical, in a good way. You should probably get your first party member in the first game before trying to do anything else.
If you're not in the mood for something surreal and nonsensical however, there's little reason to play them.
Imagine not liking surreal and nonsensical then deciding to play a quirky Earthbound-inspired indie RPG lmao.
I can see where he's coming from. Most "quirkly lulz Earthbound inspired RPG" games are shit. Hylics is weird as frick and props to the dev for making the graphics out of clay.
Most are shit. But so is most of anything. People only talk about the good ones as they should. And all the good (that's a mouthful so I'll just say) Motherlikes are really, really good. Hylics being one of them.
Knock on wood for Glitched. I enjoyed the demo a while back and revisited it when the demo came to Steam. While it's a bit off and the personality mechanic is odd it was fairly solid overall.
Okay I'm interested. I played like almost every single beloved Motherlike (and loved all of them) so this could be a home run.
Part of the plot is that you are a character assigned to a player character in a manner not unlike OFF with the Batter. But while fiddling with the intro, an eldritch abomination (glitch) fricks things up and deletes the main character from the universe so you're forced to use his second-banana childhood best friend. As per the usual Cosmic Horror concepts and archetypes, said best friend is aware and remembers the former main character because he was present (which is why his personality and powerset changes based on your actions in game).
But you can choose whether to talk with him or not how you answer him.
Great short and sweet surrealist experience, very handcrafted feel. Suprisingly fun RPG maker combat imo, the hand-made animations make it feel snappy and impactful.
Would recommend having a guide at hand, beats dropping the game over obscure hidden progression gates. 1st is short, 2nd a bit longer.
2nd game is legit really good.
It's barely discounted, but looking to pick up Chaos Gate. Came to the realization that instead of hoarding 70% off games that I will probably never play, I should just pay for the games I actually think look interesting to help out the devs of those games. Anyone wanna chime in with how good they found it?
You made me check for Valkyrie Profile you sonnova b***h
Is Dyson Sphere worth playing if I don't have autism? I haven't played Satisfactory or Factorio.
So I got yakuza 0 on ps4 and got the Plat. I want to get into the rest of the series. My autism compels me to also buy yakuza 0 again AND to Plat it again, before moving onto the actual new game for me - kiwami 1. What do?
Can't plat on pc you absolute mongoloid
You know what I mean bro, don't be like that. steam cheevos are the same thing
plat 0 again, it will look fancy on your profile
You're gonna burn the frick out
Just play Kiwami, it's pretty similar
nah lad, just keep playing new games, lots of content there, if you are going only on the mainline, you have 7 more games + other ones if you want to, like Judgement

does the definitive edition of sleeping dogs add anything if I already have the original with all dlc?
I don't think so, maybe some cosmetics. I think I got mine automatically for having the original before a certain date.
I’m supposed to be getting my Steam Deck soon and am looking for something comfy. Thoughts on cart and any recommendations for games with heavy PVE but you can also build a base and gather resources?
Wait for better sale on TMNT.

Never played that but Fight N Rage was fairly popular a while back. Castle Crashers is still fun with a friend. Personal favorite for a similar style of play is Megabyte Punch which is Custom Robo or Medabots crossed with Smash Melee Story Mode.
>Infernax
Never heard of. Ah, metroidvania. Do you have Hollow Knight and Rabi-Ribi?
>Cyber Hook

>Blasphemous
eh.
Thanks anon, I loved castle crashers so I’ll check those out
Cyber Hook is crazily good. Maybe except for some levels, but definitely a 9/10 game.
For that base building pve game, hard to tell. Are you looking for survival craft games? Otherwise I'm looking into something that remotely fits your words, Conan unconquered maybe.
Thanks anon, I found out about these two games called kenshi and project Zomboid. Any thoughts on those?
Haven't played them, but from what you see here they seem popular and like a fair pick. Can't go wrong with it I guess.

bros what is an easy game to pick up and play for 30 minutes while watching videos? I've already played isaac, risk of rain, slay the spire, other popular roguelite
satisfactory is my go-to watch youtube and let my brain melt game
Any Metal Slug games on Steam are worth picking up?
Think i read somewhere here that steam versions are mostly terrible, but i'm not sure.
They're bad and one of them is nigh unplayable.
Is cyberpunk 2077 recommendable right now?
Did they fix the issues the game had at launch?
It's still kinda messy.
Maybe it's not what was promised (to me that was kinda predictable, it was hyped up way too much), but at least the bugs are controlled, right?
But the most important thing, is it fun? Is it objectively a good game in its current state?
yes
I don't find it fun. The problem I had with the game was a lot of what they promised wasn't delivered. This isn't an RPG, your choices don't really matter and the world around you, other than NPCs walking around, is lifeless.
it's a great game, it ran fine on my piece of shit
if by "issues" you mean bugs, mostly yes
if by "issues" you mean the game is not the branching storyline in-depth RPG it was promised, no
It's better than the Witcher 3 and should run fine.
bros any good roguelikes to play? aside from risk of rain 2 and hades
I'm wondering if I should buy Dreamscaper or not, check it out yourself, I haven't decide it yet.
noita is pretty good. very dependent on rng i would say but when it aligns in your favor it's a blast. can't say the same for when it doesn't though
it was the first game i picked up along side sekiro in the sale. I've been trying to get into it but it's got a steep learning curve
I want to buy djmax but I don't know which DLC adds actual content and which ones don't, and there are a shit ton. Is the base game alone worth it? Is the $30 bundle enough to get just the music without the extra crap? Do I need to mix and match?
V Extension pack is worth. There are some other good DLC like Deemo and Respect Original but in the end it just depends on what music you like and getting all of them is very expensive. So just pick up a few of them and decide for yourself if you want more.
The main game is worth it, there's plenty of tracks to start with. In terms of DLC, Extension I and II would be my first picks. I avoid DLC without keynote sounds but that's me. They're often on sale so I'd start with the base game then branch out.
Do not buy this game. It has terrible DRM and basically malware/rootkit on PC but not console.
Man, I'm so miserable lately I don't even know what I want to play. Got $10 in wallet credit and a ton of games in my backlog, just no desire to do anything with myself.
Get your steam account hacked
You need to lose everything to learn to cherish them again
Valve would just give it back to me because I have a photo of my Orange Box CD key. I forgot my PW once and they reset it for me.

Opinions? Will I like it if I've liked pretty much all borderlands games so far?
>redditlands
Forgot to mention I already bought Assault on Dragonkeep, which is like a small game before the actual game (like MSGV ground zeroes), so that should tell me if I should buy the full game I guess.
what are some cool pirate themed games other than risen?
Heard good things about Sid Meier’s Pirates!
Port Royale series(skip the most recent one, 4)
Sea Dogs are a special kind of jank and if you like it you'll love them.
Monkey Island and Sid Meier's Pirates
Sadly, that's about it
Any recommendations at $15?
If I recommend you a game and you like it, gift me a copy too
No.
Have it already but agreed.
well 15 bucks is a quite a range, give us something to work with brother, what are your favourite games?
Off the top of my head I usually enjoy Metroidvanias, 3D Platformers, Mystery/Detective games, Puzzle games, and CRPGs.
I already have stuff like Rabi-Ribi, Hollow Knight, Bloodstained, Ori, and La Mulana.
With 3D Platformers I have Poi, Spyro, A Hat in Time, Psychonauts, RiME, and Portal (I have all of Valve's stuff).
Mystery/Detective games: Obra Dinn, Orwell, Phoenix Wright, Zero Escape and Danganronpa, Whispers of a Machine, Disco Elysium
Puzzle: Hexcells, Agent A, Baba is You, Hook, Lara Croft Go, Obduction and Myst series, The Room series
CRPGs and similar: Shadowrun, Divinity OSE, Obsidian's games, Arcanum, OG Fallout, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, OG Deus Ex
Of these my favorites are Rabi-Ribi, La Mulana 2, Poi, Spyro (while using the character visual overhaul mods because frick their weird art direction choices), Obra Dinn, Zero Escape (but not the ZTD), Agent A, Baba is You, The Room, Shadowrun (tie between Returns and Dragonfall), and VTM Bloodlines (although it needs the unofficial modpack).
yes
Yakuza 0 is always a safe bet

What's a game I can relax and make resource farms in, bros?
Slime Rancher?
have it
bruh that's minecraft
I'm just posting cringecraft screenshots but I have the real Slime Rancher and I didn't really like it. I just want to make contraptions that create or refine resources.
Technically he's not wrong.
It's a farming game with slimes.
God damn it why am I poor? Should I drop Sekiro and just pirate until it goes lower than this ? 70€ is too much especially after I got batman and Witcher collections
>God damn it why am I poor?
>Spaniard
>American education system
kek
Unless you were just pretending to be moronic, in which case that's kind of funny. Kind of.
>after I got batman and Witcher collections
those games are terrible, what are you even doing? refund them.
I thought batman knight had great reviews ?
they are pretty shallow movie games and witcher is just polish batman (except for 1 which is just a mediocre crpg) i would not pay more than a dollar for any batman game.
Sekiro won't go cheaper. Activision does not tend to go below 50% on their prestige games. Especially when there is no oingoing DLC to make it worthwhile.
pirate disco you dumb frick. commies are against capitalism so it okay to pirate it.
Literal third worlder

I want a Steam Deck but I don't think it's worth paying for one
It's definitely not a need. I like it since I have to travel a lot.

What's the differences between Cat Classic and the new one?
No idea. Couldn't find it on the store so I can't say
New one has an extra trap character, it's also not been ported.
I never played Catherine but it should be good.
Heard Styx is good but I'm not much for stealth games.
I'd wait for a lower price on Sekiro.
Toss Disco, it's an interesting idea but got fricker over.
Ni No Kuni is great if you love Studio Ghibli and Mon JRPGs.
>Divinity
Get the twofer pack Source Saga. It's the same price with the sequel.
>Pathfinder
No.
>Slay the Spire
It appears in bundles.
Not sure how well Fallout 3 runs on current computers.
Kenshi is good if you like OG Fallout and similar games.
Phoenix Wright... I recommend getting the Trilogy+Great Ace pack. Otherwise just emulate the DS games.
Grim's been in bundles.
Okami's good.
Never played Helldiver, Observer, or Domina.
Not sure what the Japanese text is. Let's see what the image leads to... Ah. Realm of the Mad Gods: Touhou edition.
>Not sure how well Fallout 3 runs on current computers.
From what I understand, the latest update removed all GFWL content from the game so that you don't need to download it ever again, but apparently it also broke mod support, removed achievements/chromes, and if you're on win11 it gets pretty unstable at times
I'd buy the trilogy+great ace pack but as I said before, I only have about 25 bucks to spare total
>did you check the forum if helldiver is still alive?
Actually no, I probably should
>Kenshi is good if you like OG Fallout and similar games.
on what planet is kenshi remotely like og fallout

?
Second half of my cart, I originally had 50$ total but I already spent one half of it, these are the ones I'm currently interested for my second half
I own Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 but having to redownload my profile again and again every time I turn it on is really tiring me out, heard the PC port was decent but due to the new update, mod support is broken (hell it doesn't even have cheevos like 4 or NV either)
Friend of mine recommended Kenshi to me
Never played Ace Attorney but I figure the trilogy collection is a good place to start
Never played Helldivers or Okami before either
Observer is a game I'm interested because of Rutger Hauer alone, just that.
I remember playing Grim Fandango in the past but I'm not sure how the remaster holds up.
I own Gensokyo Night Festival and I'm kinda expecting Endless Dream to be similar as well
I only care about Domina because the devs are based
I can only spend 25 bucks for this cart alone, thoughts? Suggestions? What goes and what doesn't?
did you check the forum if helldiver is still alive? clones of this game exist and multiplayer might be more active
anon from here
is the fallout 3 port botched or stable?
I don't wanna buy something that i'll regret later
No idea about the base version, but it works well modded, as with all Bethesda games. Definitely better than on consoles.
How long has it been since you played it? The devs released a "patch" some months ago to "fix" some of the problems with Fallout 3, like Windows Games, but it bricked most mods and the game still didn't run properly
Ages ago, so no idea about that patch.
They might have updated the mods now, but I am not sure. I had a good running version of Fallout 3 and had played my save for quite some time. Suddenly the game got updated and it got fricked.
Sell me on Ganker rising
No one rated my cart from last night, where the FRICK is my (you)'s... bought Subnautica earlier in the sale plus the song pack dlc for Hatsune Miku.
>Slender
It's just a dollar though.
Cool dude. Me in the back by the way
It garbage game. Do you not have any self control when it comes to spending money.
Didn't realize I was talking to a poorgay/ESL/rabbi, sorry. Doesn't matter if I play it for an hour, fifteen minutes or not at all because the one hundred pennies makes this purchase pretty inconsequential.
Yakuza, Portal, L4D, and Catherine are good.
No idea why you'd bother with Slender or Garfield Kart when you could get something actually good for a couple bucks instead.
For now it's this. Any more recs?
Actual Argentinian by the way
>key seller price
scarlet nexus = $13.10 - might be fun, i don't know. $13 is a lot of money. how many hours could I get out of this if I end up liking it?
dead estate = $4.59 - looks like an okay roguelike. worried about it seeming to be a bit slow paced so not sure if it would keep my attention for long but the nice big booba witch girl makes my dick want it more than anything but i'm liking roguelikes right now so there's that also.
nigate tale = $2.76 - the graphic style looks like shit and the gameplay probably isn't that great. the 2d lewds make my dick want it though. i should probably just watch porn instead and avoid this.
starblast = $1.58 - looks like an old starship troopers game that i played in the late 90s or early 2000s. makes me want this if it's populated enough.
>steam price
tokyo dark = $4.49 - i played it pirated partially and enjoyed it but got stuck with what i assume may have been a bug. thinking i'd be able to play all the way through if that were the case if i got it legit but from what i read, it's a short game anyways so may not be worth my $5.
428 shibuya scramble = $9.99 - it's not 2d and i'm not sure if i'm even in the mood for a vn and $10 is a lot for me.
should I get any of these?
>how many hours could I get out of this if I end up liking it?
It's very replayable with the extra modes/difficulty, and the dlcs add lots of content
It's a character action game with 2 characters, lasts about 20 hours per character
Scarlet Nexus is easily the GOTY 2021 and you can get easily 40 hours out of it.
>Scarlet Nexus
It's a Bandai Namco Anime Action-RPG with all the flaws inherent in it. It's not bad but it's not great, think of it like popcorn. Great timewaster, better if you get it as part of a bundle like I did. But there's better games with the same kind of gameplay style.
Hell if you want an anime arpg, I recommend picking up Kakarot if you love Dragon Ball or Gocco of War if you don't.
>Gocco of War
isn't this meant to be played online but the player base is completely non existent?
Yeah but it's a fun game even if co-op's dead.
You can play offline.
>$13 is a lot of money.
Stop posting and get a job/pirate all games you play instead
Just Cause 3 worth it
I remember vaguely enjoying the repetitive second one until maybe 20 hours
Anyone?
autistic people are the most prone to being subverted by propaganda
3D platformers! name them all.
third person preferred.
Just get Poi.

I got you
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1057640/Onirism/
I'm $4 too poor to afford this little brat
Start selling steam cards then. You got 4 days.
i own it haven't played yet because its apparently missing stuff like voice acting in half of the game
I might get Poi
You can still mess around in the arcade modes if you don't want to do the story until it's finished.
Is the game actually good or am I being rused?
It's early access shit aimed at pedos.
the dev is doing some self-shilling
Demon Turf
What's tunic like?
it zelda clone. it falls slat to what it trying to plagiarize.
Amazing.
I recommend you beat it first then lookup a completion guide for the fairies and all the page collectibles so you can savescum and see both endings.
The game has an amazing soundtrack and plays amazingly. I'm this anon
P.S.: the best part about the game is looking at the digital guidebook for clues on how to proceed and where to go next. You'll get stuck a few times. Avoid internet guides until you beat the game.
P.P.S.: offer items from your inventory on the teleport statues to evolve. It changes the game from hardcore into normal mode easily. Thank me later.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1103730/Shing/
Bought this for 2 bucks, it's pretty fun hack n slash for the price. It has this gimmick where you attack with the right analog stick and it sort of works, but it seems like the dev patched in a more standard controls scheme recently so I switched to that.
I know this is the steam thread but any recs on shit to get for the PS5 or switch that might be on sale for someone who hasn't really played any games at all since the PS3/Xbox 360 era? I know they have a sale going as well.
I've done nothing but okay fighting games for like 5 years
You won't like anything we recommend you, so why waste our time and yours?
you don't know that, I just wanted to know if there's any killer deals on must play games on consoles
Why are you even here? Go make a thread for this question.
didn't feel like it was something worth making it's own thread over, don't be such a sourpuss
>you don't know that
You spent five years playing nothing but fighting games, and you are so disconnected from gaming as a whole you have no idea what has been released during the those five years that can be interesting to you and would justify scoop for a sale.
You won't enjoy anything outside that niche.
i lost my job and didn't have any money for a good chunk of that
So? you could still keep an eye on releases and news so when your finances recovered you already knew what to buy.
Last (you) I'm giving you. Stop wasting my time, other anons' time and more importantly your time.
basedest post I've read in a really long time. have a nice day
Rate, hate and post recommendations/things to remove
I remember thinking Condemned was one of the scariest games ever back when I played it in 2006 on the 360. Hopefully it holds up well... I remember enjoying the combat too you really feel like you're connecting with those lead pipes.
I tried replaying original Bloodrayne 2 a few years ago and was disappointed. The fun part of the first game is zooming through hapless fodder like a cleaver tornado and blasting fools with powerful guns. The sequel tries to be DMC, but it felt very stilted and sluggish. At least it's pretty, and environmental kills are neat.
If you're into retro fps I'd say redneck rampage (GOG version) and blood
This all I bought.
i also got toree and toree 2 and neo aquarium
I'm sucker for marine life games and neo aquarium was buck.
You just bought the soundtrack though.
I bought it to play on audiosurf. I bought the game in different sale.
Is audiosurf 2 worth getting?
I have a bunch of music on my ipod classic. Just need to reverse add the music to my desktop as all the pirated music is on my old run down desktop.
Any good games that i can sink many hours in?
homie I can't speak against any of those because I used to dream about owning them as a kid.
That said, the only ones I can revisit and not bore quit are DMMM and Duke. XIII was amazing when I was 13 but I always quit after 30 min now.
Is there any reason to get this over just pirating the originals and emulating?
gaming lobbyists are trying to get emulation made illegal.
And? NTA but I'll still pirate and emulate, lmao.
That won't stop me from downloading them right now though.
idk achievements and tracking your hours?
I don't really care about that stuff. The speedrun mode seemed neat, but I saw some reviews say you can't change the controls so that's a big con.
no, its worse than emulating it. the only reason to have collections is if you have some sort of attachment to mega man, but presumably if you did then you'd have bought it already. get takkoman instead, its a zero clone.
how's hellgate london? no idea what it's about but i remember staring at the physical boxes at gamestop as a kid.
the steam version is a botched single player version, too bad because it looks interesting
Terrible. Watch the CGI cinematics and avoid the rest.
It would have been fun if it had multiplayer
any rpg games where I can interact with companions?
fallout 4
Get the Pathfinder games, at least one of them.
I've already played both pathfinder games, was thinking of maybe getting something less AAA since I've played most of them
Im close to actually buy something but I have that idiotic feeling that I need to buy something big or waste sale. But this is stupid, isn't it?
Overall, cart have:
>Deep Rock Galactic
>Nimbus Infinity (will sit on EA shelf until release)
>expansions for Solasta and Fantasy General II (I actually liked those games)
Any suggestion for something to add? Was thinking about "Oxygen Not Included" but I have doubts
I mean, I would love some team based tactical game with rpg elements but played XCOMs already a lot and Phoenix Point seem to still be broken, according to community. Im starving for games like this. Or like Valkyria Chronicles. Please help!
Buy only Deep Rock Galactic. Stop giving money to unfinished games in EA.
Oxygen Not Included isn't worth it?
>Oxygen Not Included isn't worth it?
not him but the game made me want to play rimworld instead. It has interesting ideas and concepts
Rimworld is still expensive. I thought I could try similar concept but for much lower.
I you haven't tried the gold etalon yet feel free to try oxygen not included, rimworld really destroyed the colony sim genre for me.
How else are EA games supposed to be finished if you don't give them money, dummy?
What exactly is percentage of EA that get completed. I hear horror stories of many being left abandoned or not fulfilling all the promised features.
You aren't supposed to buy them on the promise of future stuff. You buy them for what they are, to support future plans. But if you are buying a game because they said they'd so something and you aren't interested in the game's current state, you are being dumb.
I dunno, but it's usually easy to tell which ones are likely never going to make it to any kind of finish line.
Anybody else?
Frick, Im close to saying "frick sales and frick consumerism" and simply buy that Deep Rock and those two expansions but there is still that feeling inside, telling me to break and buy something more expensive like Wartales or King Arthur Knight Tale.
Deep Rock is good, it's worth picking up.
I don't have a problem with buying EA stuff if you're fine with playing it in its current state, but don't buy that game if you're not going to play it yet. Don't buy more expensive stuff just because it's on sale either.
if you want turn based tactics rpg get shadowrun dragonfall or hong kong (returns is fine as well, but imo the other 2 are better)
theres also satellite reign but thats not turn based
Good choice on games anon, unfortunately I played (and really enjoyed) all of those. Thanks anyway.
Yes, yes, I shouldn't. I feel like Im being trained by corporations to consume without second thought...
>Yunyun
>buying multiplayer games
heh
I heard that Deep Rock is still fun even alone and yes, I don't have friends ;_;
Can SOMEONE, anyone PLEASE recommend me a comfy/good strategy game. Anything. Please. I'm begging.
BloonsTD6
homie
Funnily enough the non-stop wienersucking is why I never bothered with Deep Rock Galactic.
I'm always wary of when Ganker worships a game so hard; it always ends being either a gimmicky piece of shit or a gimmicking piece of shit with anime graphics.
any recs for about a tenner? not necessarily looking for an rpg (action/fps games are good too) but was thinking maybe disco elysium since i hear it's good
Games you should get:
Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen
Defense Grid
>Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen
I still don't get the love. I felt underwhelmed playing it.
Buy Sims 4!
Any dungeon crawlers to give me something similar to Etrian Odyssey experience? So many games but I cant find anything.
Etrian Odyssey is heavily based on Wizardry. When Wizardry was ported to Japan, the developement team, Starfish, continued making Wizardry games and they sold quite well, and are largely responsible for the existence of games like EO. After they lost the IP they continued making Wizardry games under the new title of Elminage and of the two on Steam the one you want to get is Elminage Gothic.
Another option is to just play Wizardry itself, you might enjoy Wizardry 7 and/or 8. There is also a ton of generic combat blobbers in general on Steam of varying quality, some western, some japanese.
It beyond me why the Etrian Odyssey games haven't been ported to the PC with how big the dungeon crawlers scene is with PC players.
Probably because they are dual screen and I don't know if they are conceptually deeper or better than what's already available, their success is largely due to cornering the handheld market.
Already played Wizardry 8 and Elminage Gothic but thanks for suggestions.
Labyrinth of something
Paper Sorcerer is great at the current price.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/263560/Paper_Sorcerer/
undernauts, labyrinth of galleria, demon gaze extra, mary skelter 2 etc. etc.
Wait a sec, Galleria is coming to PC after all? Wow, hell froze over.
Too bad that Demon Gaze is so fricking expensive.
thoughts? considering dropping crush the castle.
>Sid Meier's Pirates
aaaah good ol' shit, brings back memories
Keep vampire survivors. Drop the rest. Don't buy LEMEMESXD games for youtubers
drop vampire survivors
get holocure, it's the same game but better and it's free
I highly recommend this game if anyone hasn't played it yet. It's a fun tower defense that you can turn your brain off and just play. Plus it's only $3 and offers many many hours of gameplay.
This game was fun when it had an active userbase and people were still puzzling things out, not so sure about now.
(repost because wrong image)
I used to fricking love this thing, incredible value for the price.
Shame about the sequel though; I actually kinda like the aesthetic they used for it but the gameplay feels all wrong.
Sell me on Battle Brothers or convince me not to buy it. The DLC is so expensive.
its great until the RNG decides that your MVP misses three times in a row at a critical moment, worth pirating.
What other games should I get to play on my toaster?
what are your specs

explain this meme to me, it looks like dogshit
It looks like exactly like the old games.
Its looks like an asset flip, but plays very competently and has the right atmosphere.
noita is lots of fun although itll lag from time to time
I am about to start on SSRIs for my anxiety, is Third Crisis a good last porn game to play?
Just have sex bro
I had a panic attack in the supermarket that's why I need the drugs
I hope they don't castrate me so I'm able to talk to girls
HAVE SEX
HAVE SEEEEEEEEEEEX
Unless you are like 40 years old SSRIs aren't going to affect your libido and quite frankly if you are unironically playing porns games then you are better off if they do. Stop being a homosexual.
>Unless you are like 40 years old SSRIs aren't going to affect your libido
not him but i took prozac in my twenties and that completely eliminated my libido.
ssri impact potency or libido ? anyway, don't play a weg as your last
the only porn game ive ever jerked it to was monmusu quest
homie just take some shrooms instead
anyone play songs of conquest? worth getting?
wait until its out of EA
I have mixed feeling. Pretty much force you to build heroes toward larger armies and magic, otherwise you will get ass kicked hard. And battles lack wait function for units, holy shit. But somehow feels good to play. Perhaps the hunger for this type of games is too strong.
interesting, never really played a game of this type of genre and it seems pretty fun im gonna check it out
>the amount of people baited into buying yakuza: like a dragon
jej
I was already going to buy it, all you could have done was try to talk me out of it.
Any games like Risk of Rain 2, Gunfire Reborn and Binding of Isaac?
Roboquest might be what you are looking for. Is gunfire reborn good ?
Is roboquest any good? It's been on my radar for a while.
haven't tried it yet, I'm waiting for the end of EA
I really like it. The characters feel different enough and the weapons are nice, the maps may get kinda repetitive, though.
Immortal Redneck for Gunfire Reborn, there's also a Curator that recommends similar games but it's a bit out of date.
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38508109-First-Person-Roguelites/
Rec 3D platformer/collectathons for me please.
So looking past teh whole shitty writing I have friends who want to play Borderlands 3 with me. What should I get if I just want to Story Add-ons and maybe those extra abilities. But I don't care about the cosmetics. Probably gonna end up getting Tiny Tin'as as well but not until payday which is after the sale. But it's not on that good of a sale anyways.
You're fricked then because the ability tree and max level upgrade is in season pass 2 and the story stuff is in season pass 1, so you're looking at 45$ plus right off the bat. You also can't play the story addons with friends unless EVERYONE in the party has it, so keep that in mind. I'd just get the Base Game or that digital deluxe pack unless you don't mind spending, since you probably won't even grind up to max level for a while.
Honestly I would've got the Ultimate edition but payday is Friday. Sale ends Thursday... Just gonna get the basic edition then if my friends follow through and we actually play together I'll get the DLC's during winter sale. Also the extra skill tree isn't what I want for Moz(Iron Bear one?) so I can wait for that as well.
>Anon, it won't work.
my computer can just about get 30 FPS out of AAA games from around 2012-2014 if I run them on low quality, providing they're good ports. it isn't like a third world laptop kind of toaster but a fairly outdated rig.
To the Anon who suggested me Gunfire Reborn, I can't thank you enough.
Is Banner of the Maid worth it? Seems to have an FF Tactics vibe to it and I loved that game.
Asked the same question few threads ago and sadly - game is not good, pretty much one solution to each map and a lot of "read guide or die" moments, like enemy reinforcements.
If you want FFT stuff, I would suggest either Fell Seal (VERY good, despite a bit odd sprites/portraits, FFTA clone) or one of Mercenaries games (latest one being Mercenaries Rebirth).
>Mercenaries Rebirth
Any good? Both caught my attention
Didnt try yet, gameplay vids suggests they are okay.
Refrain. Played, liked but holy shit, post game was grindy as frick.
That's a shame. I prefer BotM's art style over Fell's which looks pretty generic but if it's the better game, I'll concede. I'll wait for another sale on Mercenaries since it's only 10% off. Thanks, anon.
Previous Mercenaries game is going for much cheaper and seems to be very similar so you might try it instead.
Which one do I get, Jupiter Hell or Cogmind?
I have my eye on Jupiter Hell too.
I tried Cogmind a couple years ago and got filtered hard. I think it's fantastic on multiple levels and I plan to give it another try sometime. But I found it quite difficult and struggled with the hacking and some other mechanics.
Cogmind is unironically big brained.
Just got my steam deck, kinda want to keep it under $50, what should I nuke?
not familiar with third crisis or crumble but noita is a safe nuke. game already isn't amazing on good pcs, and dogshit with console controls.
I love noita on desktop with a controller (pirated it) is it really that bad on deck?
>I love noita on desktop with a controller
how.
have played noita for 274.9 hours on steam
would never play on controller
Disco Elysium is the Rick & Morty of video games. It pretends to have a level of dept it simply never had. It's fans don't get the bullying they deserve.
>It pretends to have a level of dept it simply never had.
huh
>Disco Elysium is the Rick & Morty of video games
holy shit it all makes sense now
I was wondering why the fans were insufferable homosexuals
They even have a cameo
did you really just reply to yourself so you could post that
it's good
fug. meant for
this looks cool, but reviews are telling me platforming is awful and a big part of the game
Basic movement got updated a few months ago. It's pretty good now. The only thing about it that really needs fixing now is the high jump being finicky to pull off, and some quirks with jump pads/bars.
I like the platforming. Those reviews might be old, movement has been completely reworked in the last few months.
>Those reviews might be old
They surly are. The movement used to be one of the game's weakest points, even after they added some new and extra animations. It helped, but it still felt stiff. Now just moving around feels good, and the addition of the 2 extra kinds of jumps and the dive make it so that playing without the double jump or air dash upgrades isn't as much of a drag as it was before.
Nice try
all me
Third Crisis probably
Noita, Crumble and especially Disco Elysium are great
Dragon's Dogma is down 84%
Is it worth it?
yea dude, esp. with dark arisen changes to fast travel and shit
Can't wait to see what I've been missing out on, always wanted to try it.
Yes. Very fun.
Is the Skyrim anniversary upgrade worth it? I was gonna play the game again soon.
Its creation club (paid mods) shit but instead of being in the in-game store they packaged a few of them and put them on steam store
Fave games are LOL, Dishonored 1, Spellforce 1, Borderlands 2 and MH3.
I have 16 eurobucks and a shit PC (can run BF3)
Please rec something good for the steam sale.
Metal Gear Solid 5.
Should I cop and try it? Or would I just waste time?
You can run it at 30fps, but at minimum graphics.
The game is known for being well optimized, despite good visuals for the time.
Thanks for the help, just copped it!
gross
gay
sauce on right??
new doom still requires bethshit account?
Lol Yes. Old Doom 2 still has pop ups from their shitty.
>their shitty service
Fixed
can't remember if it was required but I did not have any problems with it or it was noninvasive
any one doing the "Clorthax's Paradox Party"?
what's that?
Any good quality arcade games? Something I can hop in and out of without much thought or time investment. Don't recommend TMNT, as I don't want another beat em up right now.
The Steamworld series is great and cheap. Just mash through the story
There’s a couple digging games and a 2D Xcom.
I just bought windjammers 2 and I'm enjoying it.
Although you do need to concentrate and think about your actions, it's not totally mindless.
I never buy arcade games, but this one compelled me somehow.
D&D Chronicles of Mystara or Dragon's Crown or other games like that. Basically Golden Axe. Shit you could just get golden axe.
Any survival horror recs? I’ve played:
FEAR
Alan Wake
Resident Evil
Evil Within
Dead Space
Control
Lost in Vivo but it's not on sale right now
That shit is never on sale. It just another game that copies too much from games that inspire it.
Pretty cheap anyway and seems spoofs. Nice
Tormented Soul
Evil Tonight
Nightmare of Decay.
nightmare of decay if you enjoyed re1
Alien Isolation/Prey if you like sci-fi
Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth if you're ok with jank
Cold Fear
Condemned Criminal Origins
I think you'd enjoy Prey.
Not Survival Horror but I think you'd enjoy STASIS.

What the frick?
Nice recs, have saved and will check out ty
Spin Rhythm XD or DJMAX Respect V?
I want an rpg where talk and interact with companions
something like mass effect or dragon age
Dragon Quest party chat is best
KOTOR and Jade Empire obviously
I have plenty of intense games like Prey, Dishonored, and Dusk.
Any recs on something low energy along the lines of Alchemy Garden, Flower, or Alba?
Is Cyberflop worth $30 or wait?
wait
will do.
How is Phoenix Point? Good or shitty?
it's "not even worth a pirate because they sold out to chinks with epic exclusivity deals" tier
But it's on Steam since year or something. I just want good XCOM like game.
honestly just play some of the openxcom mods, x-com files is very very long and difficult but completely changes how the game starts and has a ton of new content, x-piratez is a total conversion where you play as a squad of giant naked amazon pirate women (it's not a porn game, there's just nudity). if you like warhammer 40k there is a full 40k conversion for openxcom. if you like terror from the deep, there is an expansion called world of terrifying silence that makes it even harder and adds more content. i wouldn't bother with any of the modern x-com games, that includes the firaxis ones, none of them play like the originals.
rate and recommend? i dont know what other games to add
some games that i played and enjoyed include
>monster hunter series
>fallout series
>elder scrolls series
>xcom series
>metro 2033 series
>minecraft
>divinity original sin 1/2
>legend of grimrock
>souls games
>return of the obra dinn
>subnautica
>valheim
>darkest dungeon
>undertale
>night in the woods
i was thinking about world of horror but i heard its not finished yet
not a big fan of jrpgs unless they are well written, are "le heckin subverting the genre" in some way or have an interesting aesthetic
same for shooters
I was going to give you suggestions but you are a le poster so I wont.
anon it was two letters and it was in quotes
FF8
Dishonored 1 / 2
Mad Max
No Man's Buy
We Happy Few
FF9
Deliver Us The Moon
Chrono Trigger
Sable
AI: The Somnium Files
Halo: MCC
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Death Stranding
>Are any of these worth buying? I'm kind of just diggin through the sci-fi games on sale first and then will check out other categories.
Mad Max is underrated as frick imo. If it's cheap go for it.
Avoid Death Stranding
It's $5. Done.
Halo MCC is always worth it just for the campaigns and Mad Max is fun but I don't know what it's priced at, should be low though.
First Dishonored is quite fun if you like stealth games and probably pretty cheap right now. Second is good as well but some people didnt like female protag (you can still play as Corvo, this time not silent - and his comments on named characters kills are sometimes pretty cold).
>FF8 (not the remaster)
>Mad Max
>FF9
>Halo: MCC
>Death Stranding
Get those
I played the first Dishonored and it was pretty good I think, I liked the art style a lot and it offered some fun ways to escape, hide from and kill my enemies.
People whine a lot about how the game punishes you for going full lethal but that's kind of a dumb complaint, the "bad" ending wasn't even that bad.
Chrono Trigger is also a great choice if you like JRPGs, it is very simple but in a good way.
Got:
>Expedition Viking
>Rise of the TR
>Shadow of the TR
>Capybara Spa
>Age of Empires 2 definitive edition
>Zetria
>Claire's Quest Gold
>Defense Grid Awakening
>Loop Hero
Pretty satisfied!
Is yomawari as bad as htol#niq?
No, it's completely different, top-down comfy survival horror open world exploration. Loved Yomawari, hated Hotaru no Nikki, kinda liked A Rose in the Twilight
give it to me straight
is terraria actually, unironically a fun game or is it just an autismo farming loop sim? i hate the art syle
also pls recommend some fun rpgs for a shit PC
i meant stardew valley my bad
they're only fun if you enjoy farming autism. this is why dwarf fortress is better, because you can spend your brain working on stupid dwarf megaprojects like turning a volcano into a weaponized magma cannon, instead of tending to crops all day.
Did I do okay, Ganker?
So far i've refunded she will punish them and slay the spire.
>Nobeta
>he fell for the meme
>not buying all e-girl games on principle
why are you even on Ganker? are you lost?
I only buy the kino-est e-girl games to keep the e-girl genre pure
For 10 bucks, nobeta is perfectly fine, might even be a great deal depending on how the finished game ends up.
>Nobeta
>how the finished game ends up
>Nobeta
>ends up
>finished
good one
I mean, it has an expected release date and the dev has gone all in with vtuber related bonuses depending what platform you buy it for. I don't expect it to be that much improved over the demo, I just expect it to be finished.
aoe2 and risk of rain 2 are winners, not so sure about the rest
>Scarlet nexus
What a moron
cringed hard
Can't go wrong with AoE 2
If you like Muse Dash get the DLC.
>want to buy Age of Empires remasters
>have Arxan Anti-Tamper, dropped
>want to buy Halo MCC
>have Easy Anti-Cheat, dropped
>tons of games comes with forced Epic Online Services bundled in (included but not limited to - Cities Skylines, Bannerlord, Civ VI and lot more)
Frick modern gaming.
Don't listen to the people recommending Evil Tonight as a straightforward Resident Evil clone.
It's pretty much an anime-themed top-down Zelda clone without a map and backtracking up the ass.
If you're curious just watch a youtube playthrough; the game is a couple hours long in fact.
yeah I was gunna get it but I didnt because someone here said not to, wish there was more good RE clones
RE clones were prominent only during the PS1 and PS2 eras so your only choice is emulation, looking at all the consoles released during that era and their titles (even Nintendo consoles got proper survival horror titles). But on Steam? only RPG maker indie dogshit pretending to be a proper Capcom-tier survival horror.
Hell, not even the classic Resident Evil games got a Steam release.
Maybe this game will interest you
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1367590/Tormented_Souls/
Translation can be off at times, but I liked the demo enough to buy it myself.
