ALWAYS look up a game on PCGW: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home especially for older titles.
even 'broken' games usually have great community fixes.

Anything else I should add?
Add better bait games, this one is getting old
Well it's better bait than
for sure.
Only slightly
If this were real I would buy the Ace combat pack and Demon's Souls first day. Maybe the Parasite Eve pack if I still have money.
By the way, the PS2 Ace Combat games will never get ports due to the planes' licenses. .
got any thing similar to west of loathing, sunless sea, sunless skies
an rpg either with a light hearted tone or lots of reading
Ittle Dew 1 and 2.
And from this one I would buy the VP collection just for the Valkyria Profile port; I don't give a single shit about any other VP game.
best game for a guy who is sole crushingly lonely?
How is loneliness crushing your soles?
Jump King is pretty sole-crushing
russian roulette
Haven is cute. Might make you feel better, might make you feel even worse.
persona 4 will make you feel like you have friends for 50-70 hours
No way you can beat Persona 4 in 50 hours unless you skip text or something.
I finished it in 66 hours with 100% s.links
Which has nothing to do with what I said. 100% Social Links doesn't change playtime a lot compared to doing them randomly.
>persona 4
i watched the anime and didn't really like it
Have you watched many video game adaptations? They are really bad, they remove most of the appeal and are basically just soulless summaries.
game adaptions suck
the first silent hill movie was ok
Destiny 2, unironically. That kinda game will carry you through depression with endless repetition with a "purpose" and some amount of socialization to do endgame content as well.
Also Steep which is a israelitebisoft game is really good to lose yourself doing snowboarding and other extreme sports and challenges, the exciting stuff that we all wish we could do really.
A VR headset and EVERYTHIGN except VR chat.
>But I'm lonely
And this will teach you to appreciate it.
Accurate on Destiny. I had a mental breakdown panic disorder fricking thing 5 years ago that never fully went away and Destiny was a huge help in making my way through it -- I still play that game whenever I feel mentally fricky cause the gunplay and grind are just engaging enough for you to get mindlessly stuck into
Subnautica was also unironically a MUH THIS GAME SAVED MY LIFE/GOT ME THROUGH DEPRESSION tier game for me. Something special about that game's immersion.
Is CLANNAD: HD Edition worth it if I'm a Gankergay with refined taste? I'm not into VNs but it seems like everybody points to this as the place to start.
Higurashi Chapter 1 is still free. You could give that a shot and see if you like it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/310360/Higurashi_When_They_Cry_Hou__Ch1_Onikakushi/
>Is CLANNAD: HD Edition worth it if I'm a Gankergay with refined taste? I'm not into VNs
You damn well know the answer. You should stay away from the medium and stick with books

ANY MORE RECS?
By the way, I'm Argentinian
Wouldn't make more sense to ask on an Argentinian imageboard or website, given how Argentinians see non-Argentinians as just animals?
This is an American site. Monkeys together strong
That's my point. By Non-Argentinians, that means Americans too.
It makes no sense for an Argentinian to ask a question in a place where there is the possibility of the one replying to it being someone who isn't an Argentinian.
I say it because other Argentinians will be like "Are you using a VPN you homosexual?". Now rec some games
Well, I'm not Argentinian so to you anything I type will be no different to a monkey throwing his own feces.
God luck, I guess.
it's the other way around. Also chileans are richer than argays
What's the name of your condition? Is it even medicable?
>he doesn't know how to exploit third world currencies to get cheap steam games
have fun paying full price, chump.
Tf you talking about dude? Did you take your pills already?
Every country has xenophobic people, some more than other I guess, but I've met some argentinians and they're nice.
Argentinians are literally monkeys though.
>I'm Argentinian
what's ur monthly income? curious ur shit is cheap as frick
Argentine currency simply isn't worth anything
their inflation rate is insane. 10-20% a year.
Almost nothing. At least the games become "cheaper" each year because of inflation.
Actually it's 60%.
are the god eater games worth playing? not played any monster hunter games before, but they look kinda like that with a more combo-focused combat and less tracking
No. Not only they're vastly worse than the proper MH games, but they're shitty monster hunting games on their own.
Yeah, they are fun and have some nice gameplay gimmicks mechanics that stand out
They dom't have the insane budget and melee moveset but the monsters fight are well designed too
The story and character have also more focus, with better results than MonHun ever did
Any good fantasy games with playable lizardmen or birdmen? I've hit all the major ones like Divinity, Elder Scrolls, Warhammer, and even some blobbers like Grimrock.
Stop it I already spent 200 bucks ahhhhh
is dbz kakarot actually good by itself if I don't really care too much about dragonball anymore?
total war warhammer 2 or should I just wait for 3 to be fixed?
Are giveaways or gift requests allowed here?
Yes.
r8 my haul.
death stranding sux
I'd refund it if I could. It was pretty good in hour 2-3 but it dropped off after.
you can still try, depending on how much more than 2 hours you played
5.9 hours?
probably not
they let you refund no questions if you played less than 2.9 hours but as soon as you hit 3 hours i have never managed to get a refund
>they let you refund no questions if you played less than 2.9 hours
Hopefully I can remember that for the future.
yeah, they say over 2 hours but every single time ive tried a refund under 3 they have given it no questions asked
never got it over 3 though
havent refunded anything in probably a year though so dont take it for a fact, im sure they could have changed it
Deus Ex MD worth it for 5$, is it worth another 2.50 for the dlc??
I think it's worth $5. Didn't play the DLC though, so I dunno how that is.
pixelart style rpgs and/or farming mechanics in a medieval/fantasy setting?
graveyard keeper
I am here to recommend shing!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1103730/Shing/
A decent beatem up style hack n slash for 2 bucks.
>Roguelike
Lmao, the "military first person shooter" of indies
Is it your game, by the way? Looks nice
I play a lot of beatem ups so steam showed it to me.
I added it to my cart, thanks for the rec
why are female designs dogshit, literal sameface pouty ugly nonsense except one wears red and the other blue. lazy ass bullshit.
these good? kinda wanted rogue legacy 2 but
>20% off
>paying $19.99 for A computer game
Skul is great, I don't know about the other game
ended up pirating both to do the starting areas as a demo, thought the core gameplay of MU felt better...not being able to crouch in skul proved to be too subconsciously annoying for me to handle for some reason
skul is great but the start can be shit without the upgrades, though you can max them out with a cheat engine
>Giveaway Thread
Gib Soul Hackers 2 pls
No gifters here
So sad
I'd gift but no one has taken by offer of posting their programming socks yet.
Unfortunately... Or rather fortunately, I'm not one of those
might drop malice & greed and grid slayer. Mostly interested in pzomboid to play with friends and horizon's gate. Ancient is supposed to be a clone of risk of rain 1, the rest are cheap enough to get anyway
Is Creeper World 4 worthy after playing a bunch of CW3?
I felt some changes were jarring but it's still very good
Does this live up to the hype as an autism game you can dump 300+ hours into? Early access for seven years is putting me off. I'm also looking at Rift Wizard, if anybody has played that before.
Probably the best spiritual successor to actual Rogue
>Does this live up to the hype as an autism game you can dump 300+ hours into?
God no, its for redditors that don't play roguelikes.
rift wizard is not that good I need to try again
Yes, and the wokeness is minimal. You can grow a face on the root you grew on your face.
No, it's very dumb. It takes maybe an hour to beat the game, you have to actively handicap yourself to do anything, and the procgen is very repetitive. My favorite roguelikes are nethack, infra arcana, cogmind, ivan, sil-q, and frozen depths. CDDA and UnReal World are better open ended roguelikes, UnReal is on Steam and probably cheap.
Anyone who unironically shills qud is an actual moron and should be ignored.
No, it's awful and that's a shame because I'd really like a game where you can just wander around weird ass caves for hours.
what is the scariest game on steam?
it steals
that's finished, or just at all? because...
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1425760/Pulling_No_Punches/
mainly that's finished
>no massive shlong on the troony
disappointingly shit
I loved the demo for this the artstyle is so gross
Moved my cart around from the other thread…max I want to spend is $75. Any recommendations based on my cart? I am getting my Steam Deck soon which is why I am getting a couple games
why is it an estimated total?
probably has some steam balance or coupons
get original FF8 and mod it, the remaster has several problems and the modding scene is not as big as the original game to fix them all.
get The Alliance Alive https://store.steampowered.com/app/1027250/The_Alliance_Alive_HD_Remastered/
Never played FF8, does it detract from the original experience? (The mods or remaster)
The remaster is infamous for fricking up the entire world map and scenery, they literally only updated the models and changed some designs (like adding clothes to shiva or "censoring" female GFs) but you will find yourself with a very nice modern 3D character in a very weird pixelated world, just get the original, mod the good music back and whatever else you want.
>put games in my cart
>not enough money
>add money to my wallet

God damn it, Steam

Which one bros?
Rhythm games like 'A Dance of Fire and Ice'?
games where you press a single button? Geometry Dash I guess, Muse Dash if you feel like a madman and want to press TWO whole buttons instead of one
>Muse Dash if you feel like a madman and want to press TWO whole buttons instead of one
Spooky.
if you wish to press 3 buttons and the dark souls of rhythm games
PIRATE DONKEY KONGA
Rhythm Doctor
Redone my wishlist after finding a code for noita. Is Demon Turf good or is it just an Uooooh meme game?
its not very good and you will be supporting troony propaganda devs,
>you will be supporting troony propaganda devs,
wat
they are part of that "semi indie dev group" that are all troony supporter, add flags and cameos of shit like AHiT or here comes niko.
but ignoring that schizo talk, the game is really not good
It's an alright platformer, but not too exciting
It's worth 5 dollars at the most. Just pirate it.
Are there any good mega-collections in the vein of Valve Complete Pack?
A couple but most that I know of have a few shit items packed in anyway. Most other multi-game packs are dev/publisher collections or the Star Wars pack.
Here's some of the few multi-developer/publisher game packs I know of. The contents do vary heavily, but in many cases it is actually cheaper to get the bundle than the games someone might want from it alone.

only tried yakuza zero and cookie clicker which i like
urtuk is such an hidden gem, its a shame its not as popular as Battle Brothers
How's Zone of the Enders?
I have only enough money to buy one major game. I have decided on No Man's Sky since I have heard that the game has gotten far better now since it's initial release.
Did I do ok?
No. The game is still dogshit
Just got a Oculus Quest 2, any steam recommendations?
Alyx
Pavlov
Boneworks
Project Wingman
VTOL VR
I got Alyx and RE4, is Boneworks really worth it?
I liked it. You could always wait until later to play it though, it's better if you're used to VR before you play it anyways.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Get the rest of The Room games they're all good and you can see the whole story
>The Room
Fair warning with this, it is a bit off compared to how it handles on Android, but it's a great series. Get the whole set.
Otherwise I can also recommend the Cube Escape and Rusty Lake games, and for a similar "P&C Room Escape" vibe House of Da Vinci and Agent A.
>Cat Quest
Get the cat Quest 1+2 bundle. 2's bigger and has more stuff going on, plus optional co-op. Main downside to either is the plot's a bit stupid but it's fun in a dumb way and riddled with puns.
Might just pirate RDR2 because Rockstar sucks. Any decent online content, that makes it worth a buy?
Also, rate the rest.
nope, online is dead as frick and rockstar only cares about gra online
Very well, pirate it is. Only bought GTA V because a couple of pals wanted to play online as well.
Thoughts on the rest of the cart? Especially on X4, looks great but has mostly positive reviews
only know about inscrytion, its great but hard to say anything with no spoilers,
online is atrocious, definitely not worth it
I lost interest in Inscryption once I got through the first part, but that might just be me.
Games like pic-rel that aren't the new wolfenstenin series
Bioshock and Black Mesa.
Is there a good Souls-inspired game?
Not just Dark Fantasy with high difficulty, Dark Fantasy with dodge mechanics, or a lore-heavy open world arpg because I've seen people claim x are Dark Souls-like but really they're just merely a Dark Fantasy setting.
Closest I can think of a game not by the devs that actually has the right spirit and feel is Hollow Knight.
Code Vein is fun if you skip all the shitty anime cut-scenes and story. It has really good hitboxes so you never get hit by shit that clearly missed you like in real souls games.
Isn't there some kind of connection between God Eater and Code Vein?
I've never played it, but Mortal Shell looks pretty similar
Project Wingman or Ace Combat 7 if one's just getting into flight sims?
Also are mechwarrior 5 or hunt showdown worth it?
Neither one is a flight sim. AC7 is supposedly easier than Project Wingman, but I only just picked it up, so I don't know how they compare yet.
Both Wingman and Ace Combat 7 are great. I'd say about equal. AC7 is more polished with better graphics and setting, but Wingman an edge in gameplay. Also AWACS CBT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2VVuOS46wE
Mechwarrior 5 has some mixed opinions, but I've been playing it after getting it in a Humble Bundle and having a fricking blast.
Neither of those games are flight simulators. If you want a sim go play DCS.
y/n on Hylics 1&2? they look fun
FRICKING YES
frick steam, acquire GOG
Any games that contain as much autism as highfleet?

only a few minutes into re6 and im already thinking of refund.
Do it, it really doesnt get better. Me and a coworker tried playing through and we didnt make it, the boss fights are awful.
you know what you signed up for
bros, what version of Dying Light 2 should I buy?
>It's shit compared to Dying Light!
yeah I know, I want to play it anyway and I'm prepared for disappointment.
Also if I hate Souls shit but I like Devil May Cry's Royal Guard style and MGR Revengeance will I enjoy Sekiro?
Yeah but Sekiro doesn't work like DMC or MGR, it's much snappier
Games with this feeling?
You should check out Tales of Berseria, dragon quest xi, ni no kuni 2, nier automata, final fantasy xv
Trials of Mana. How's Ni No Kuni II?
Recommend some Zelda-like games please
Do you want Zelda 2, LTTP, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, GB-style?
Straight Action-Adventure or more of a pure Puzzle focus? Or Dungeon Crawler?
Because there's examples of everything I listed among indie devs and some AAA titles.
>Do you want Zelda 2, LTTP, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, GB-style?
Yep. Action games that let you explore a little, get some upgrades, collectibles and finish small quests then go to a dungeon with puzzles where you face a boss
>Zelda 2 examples:
The main good one I know of is Super Chibi Knight. Other games include Gunmetal Arcadia, Elliot Quest, and Phoenotopia Awakening.
>LTTP examples:
Generally speaking any SNES-style Action-Adventure like CrossCode, Secrets of Grindea, Hyper Light Drifter, Blossom Tales, Moonlighter, BitDungeon (more Zelda 1 though), Secrets of Bethem...
>Ocarina of Time:
Too many in a similar style, but good examples are Darksiders, Okami, and Fable. Also to some degree Windscape and Supraland.
>Wind Waker:
Only two I can remember this second. Treasure Adventure Game (freeware 2D metroidvania, frick the paid version it's shit) and Oceanhorn (isometric pov).
>GB:
Main examples are Shipwreck and Anodyne 1.
There's also parody/comedic games like Ittle Dew and Evoland.
Stuff I recommend checking out the demos of are Akurra and Arken.
There's also games delisted from Steam but still able to be downloaded like Legends of Owlia.
Thanks so much for the detailed response. I will try to check every single rec I don't know. I was familiar with some already like Okami, Crosscode and Ittle Dew.
I am also a big fan of Metroidvania. Could you recommend some that r not so popular?
I loved Hollow Knight, Guacamelee, I know about Shantai, la-mulana, labyrinth and many more.
>less popular Metroidvania
Depends on whether you want freeware or sales. And how much energy I have for this. Although I did post a list in a previous thread so I can just copy-paste it.
Found it. It's not all lesser known but it is some of the ones I know of.
Rabi-Ribi, Pharaoh Rebirth, La Mulana 1 and 2, Cave Story, Lodoss War, Axiom Verge, Fortune Summoners, Momodora (3 never goes on sale but is $2, Moonlight is on sale), Minoria, Teslagrad, Robot Wants it All, Creepy Castle, Retro Game Crunch, Into The Underdusk, Super Skelemania
Ori, Bloodstained, Yoku's Island Express
Mega Man Zero+ZX, Castlevania, LostWinds
>Freeware:
Treasure Adventure Game, You Have to Win the Game, Janosik, Moonlaw, External Legends
Then there's free ones off Steam I posted in another thread:
Momodora 1 and 2
Iji and Hero/Hero Core
Cuckoo Castle
Skelemania and Super Skeleman
The Ruins of Machi Itcza
Rabbit's Quest
Four Strange Games by Sigil
Dolphin Island 2
Mustache King Adventure
windowframe
Jables's Adventure
Little Ghost
Momo Bomber
>Freeware Originals of Paid Games
Teabat
La Mulana
Treasure Adventure Game
Into the Underdusk
>Incomplete but cool
Anubis And The Buried Bone
No God Up Here (two different builds, same game/devs)
Unlucid
NiTL
Kingdom Shell
Moon Raider
I'm a paranoid frick who refuses to share profile links.
If it helps games I loved on PC include Agent A, Cube Escape, Secrets of Grindea, Hacknet, Shadowrun, KOTOR, Cat Quest, Half Minute Hero (buy 2 for 1st too), Obra Dinn, Rabi-Ribi, Apotheon, Megabyte Punch, Poi, LiEat, and Rivals of Aether (this one is more for mods but it's a very twitchy Smash Bros game).
This sale I got among a few other things Dishonored 1 and FATE.
And stuff I'm bouncing around between as freeware include Siren's Call, Karisvale, Vampire the Masquerade Heartless Lullaby, Time Thief, If On A Winter's Night.
Past favorites include Princess Remedy, Khimera, Helltaker, Find Love or Die, and Spooky's House of Jumpscares.
Thanks bro
Btw send your profile, so I can check what you play as u seem to have a based taste

I just want to play Bloodborne if anyone can give or trade with any game/item I have Id be very thankful
The only game I'm interested in, and it's not on sale
Y/N?
its fun, definetely worth the price, but like always RoR2 is better with friends
But what if im getting RoR2 for the first time and i dont have friends
you'll get like 200 hours unlocking shit and discovering every secret, but after that you'll want to play with friends or mod the game
Thats nice
What do (You) think about OXYGEN NOT INCLUDED and HELL LET LOOSE?
I'll give free You's to any responses.
if anyone has scifi or jrpg rec's go for it.
Between these and an 8 month old child I'll be busy for a long time.
spend the what, $40 on disgaea 1/2/4/5. You'll be busy for a long, long time with those.
Since it's Disgaea it's meant to be played in short bursts of beating stages/item world grinding so definitely compatible with other games/life obligations
>disgaea 1/2/4/5
if I had to choose one, which one should I pick?
>different anon btw
Disgaea 4 is usually seen as being the best so that. I'ts the priciest, though. 5 is significantly cheaper.
So yeah, disgaea 4/5 f you want modern quality of life. 1/2 are way cheaper and have better story than 5
2 is the best, 4 & 5 are good but fricked in their own ways (4 has technical problems, 5 is missing features despite being advertised as the complete version).
1 is great too but barebones and Laharl is pretty homosexual if we're being real.
4 was the last time NIS was actually self-aware.
>DISGAEA STANDS FOR MANLY FANCY
haha man, times have changed. what happened?
always seen this series but never looked into it. I'll check it out.
I did play and beat Prey, that shit was very good. Never heard of void bastards, neat.
>$5
yo.
oh that is pain.
It's really, really based.
I didn't get into it until I say 1/2 available on steam for cheap back in 2017, didn't really get into.
Got a switch and picked up 5 bc I remembered hearing aobut modern quality of life. Got hooked forever.
Prey was made by the same people who made dishonored and ti's pretty good. Neither of these are much like your list but Deus Ex is a classic and void bastards is underrated
Void Bastards is designed pretty well but the art style fricked my eyeballs up and reliably gave me headaches after 20+ minutes playing.
shadows of adam is a good indie rpg
Nab Nocturne HD if you can. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it.
I want some more cool space games like stellaris and Endless Space
Astrox Imperium
Approaching infinity
Approaching infinity will give you hundreds if not thousands of hours
Approaching Infinity looks cool
It's really, really good. Get it.
Is this your game?
No. I'm just a fan and into roguelikes in general. I'm just the anon who shills it/the more recent siralim/warsim in sale rec/hidden gem threads.
Know if anything else in here is good?
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/21546/Independent_Space_Alliance/
Solar settler was kind of fun but I only own that/approaching infinity out of that bundle. sorry!
How's Dead End Re:Quest?
I believe that Mary Skelter, both games, are genuinely good games and apparently Dead End Request is from the same development team.
What should I buy / drop?
drop indie games buy zombie army trilogy its by the sniper elite devs
is dying light 2 or tiny tina even worth buying or should i just wait for a crack
Good lord do people who use this site keep getting worse.

X4 and Dyson Sphere are in my cart. Will I enjoy Dyson Sphere if I haven't tried Factorio or Satisfactory?
Looking at steamdb, I noticed that plenty of games aren't at their historical low this time around. Lots of stuff that had 75%+ discounts the past 2-3 years are only half off max.
Yeah not that many record lows this time, kinda barren cart
Might return to piracy if this keeps up
What do I play first?
Condemned Criminal Origins 🙂
isnt condemned the game where you walk around whacking people with a pipe
Yeah, much like living in Detroit

i can get baldur gate 1 and 2 or one of the following, what is the best pick ?
I can't attest to the Steam ports of Baldur's Gate.
Dishonored's great at that price.
FighterZ is good if you're a DBZ fan.
Heard good things of Outer Wilds and Ender Lilies but I'm waiting for better sale prices myself.
No comment on Zomboid or Sniper Elite 4.
i hate colombians. terrible people. thanks for cumbia but every colombian i've met has been god awful.
get the baldurs gates from gog because there's no point in buying them on steam. you can literally just pirate them.
i've only played dishonored and it's fun, but i think it goes on sale quite often so you won't miss out on it being cheap if you're leaning towards anything else.
im white tho
enhanced edition is awful, just pirate and mod the gog versions
Beamdog is guilty of a number of crimes etc etc
The ~~*enhanced*~~ versions of Baldur's Gate are full of """""diversity""""" changes and overpowered OCs and stuff. Do not reward their homosexualry.

Any recommendations for games that are between 5-10 bucks?
I added Half Life because I remember spending a lot of time playing mods like The Specialists and Vampire Slayer. Are those things still going or should I just remove Half Life from my cart?
>Mirror's edge

It's amazing if you like visual novels and good stories/settings. If you can't sit still for 30+ mins straight and listen to dialogue it isn't for you
Not that anon, how linear is it and is the plot good or just dialogue and interactions? I love VNs, but at the end of the day I'm more of a plot guy, and most of the praise for DE I've seen is for its writing and dialogue, but I've seen basically nothing about the plot.
>30+ mins of dialogue
it's a good thing I avoided this game
10 minutes alone sounds unbearable
Do you not watch/read any form of story based media? Movies, TV, books, anything?
I do but someone blabbering on for 10 minutes with no stops is painful
Pretty common in TV and books. Even some movies.
i don't know what shows or movies you're watching but almost none of them I seen has a character gone on longer than a 5 minute rant
stop interacting with the zoomoid
looking for more games to just play while listening to music. roguelikes tend to be good like FTL or Slay the Spire. Leveling in WoW worked too. basically things that aren't narrative/story heavy.
Just cause 3 the story is a joke and can be ignored entirely while you blast away and explode half of the map
Any fps singleplayer games you guy would recommend that are on sale?
I got a new mouse and it feels really nice, so I wanna test it with some games, it also has a sniper button, which I'm not too crazy about, but I wanna try it still.
DOOM 2016 is five bucks. DOOM Eternal is fifteen bucks. DUSK and AMID EVIL are 9 bucks each.
I completely forgot about DOOM eternal, went to the store to buy it and realized I already bought it at some point lmao, thanks for reminding me. I've already played DOOM 2016 and liked it a lot.
I'll think about getting other kinds of fps games though, maybe Prey or Deathloop (yeah I think it has stealth gameplay too).
RDR2 has an entirely different feel when played in FPS mode.
almost every single fps worth getting is decades old
anything new is early access unless you want me to keep telling you about dusk and amid evil because everything else is trash
MCC. Just bought it for 4 dollar and im having a blast playing Reach
Halo MCC is cheap rn.
Doom Eternal
Titanfall 2 is like 5 euro
tbh Ex + Dishonoreds
Prey
I picked up Arkham bundle, Shadow of Mordor/War bundle, Red Dead Redemption 2, Mafia Definitive Edition, and Dragon's Dogma.
Based.
I unironically like Arkham style combat and I like Lord of the Rings (but not so much as to be bothered by the shit writing/butchering of characters) so the Mordor games were a treat for me.
I got $12.
I usually play 3D Platformers, Metroidvanias, RPGs, and Room Escape and Puzzle games. Past faves include Rabi-Ribi, Obra Dinn, Slime Rancher, Streets of Rogue, and Baba is You.
This sale I got Dishonored 1.
Any recs?
If you can add a couple more dollars you could pick up the Castlevania Advance Collection
Unless there's any cool features involved, I can just emulate them.
Or emulate romhacks of them for the same features.
Rate? This will probably be it for me for this Summer Sale. My budget allowed for either Dishonored series w/ Darq or Trine series & no Darq. I'll get Trine next time it's on Autumn or Winter sale since it gets discounted pretty often. I've been enjoying playing Audiosurf with my FLAC music files more than I thought it would. Ghostbusters is pretty cool but the file size is pretty big because they upscaled the cutscenes to 4K which makes up over ¾ of the game alone which is annoying but it's only gonna be installed till I beat the game. Nolimits 2 is pretty cool for a realistic rollercoaster design CAD editor and some of the Steam Workshop coasters people made are pretty well made.
>realistic rollercoaster design CAD editor
Roller Coaster Tycoon / Planet Coaster without the tycoon?
I already have the RCT trilogy but RCT3P feels a bit outdated with some coaster designs even though it is still fun and nostalgic. Planet Coaster kind of lags on my PC so I'm skipping it for now until I get a better PC in the next 4 years and also the base game plus all the DLC is pretty expensive for my budget so hopefully it gets cheaper over the next few years. NoLimits 2 focuses more on roller coaster making than park management and is a good middle-ground for me with price and spec requirements.
>thrillville off the rails
I thought I was the only guy who played that
I originally played it on the PSP as well as the first thrillville game. Both where really fun games that I made lots of memories with the included coaster maker which is what got me into the RCT series. Funny thing is if you set the graphics on Thrillville Off the Rails to the lowest setting the character models change and look exactly like the ones in the PSP port.
is the port of RCT Deluxe alright? no problems?
It works but you might have some issues here and there being the visuals are a bit fuzzy and some Steam reviews/comments are saying it might have some kind of game-breaking bugs as you progress. However, if you get both RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe & RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack on Steam you can easily install OpenRCT2 (most people recommend this) which adds bug fixes, graphical and gameplay improvements, multiplayer support, and you can also use the RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe files to play the scenarios form the first game. I'm not sure if this works with GOG but it's possible it does.
For World of Final Fantasy, is the Maxima upgrade worth it? It almost doubles the total price and I can't find concrete, concise information on what the frick it even adds.
Yes and no. The stuff it adds apparently doesn't actually count to the 100% Completion.
>Can now carry 12 Mirages instead of 10
>Unlock “Treasure Search” after clearing the game, which makes finding treasure chests easier
>Lots of rare items have been added, mainly battle-related
>New Game+ has been added.
>Can listen to the song “Innocent3” from World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo in Theater Mode
>The “Sandstalker” minigame has been made easier to play
>Catching the three starter Mirages (Fritt, Bablizz, and Zapt) has been made easier
>Hauyn can join the party after clearing the game
>Enna Kros has been added as an extra boss battle
>An EX Dungeon in which Garland appears has been added
>The Immortal Dragon of Darkness appears; an enemy that appears at the beginning of the World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo manga, it is one of the Exnine Knights; it is even stronger than Brandelis
>You can fight Brandelis again
>New “Nightmare” difficulty: even small enemies are significantly stronger
>New, fully-voiced Champion Intervention Quests
>New secret ending
>Can battle Marilith as a boss character in an EX Dungeon
>Avatar Change: By obtaining the “Champion Stone,” you can transform into legendary Final Fantasy characters in battle; each character has their own battle background music and skills
>A minigame where you can fish with Noctis has been added. You can even reel in a Leviathan
>Hauyn’s Archives: Characters that first appeared in World of Final Fantasy have “World of Final Fantasy (Apocrypha)” written in their “First World of Origin” field in the encyclopedia; these Apocrypha can be read as Hauyn’s Archives, which are scattered throughout the game world and must be gathered
>New Mirages and Champions in the encyclopedia; since there is a little more story after clearing the game, additional descriptions have also been added to Lann, Reynn, and Hauyn’s entries
Thanks friend, that really helps put it into perspective.
I don't really save much by getting the DLC right off the bat so I'm going to just get the base game, and then if I ever want to run a New Game+ then I'll get the DLC on sale too.
So in summary:
More mons in your party, some more bosses and dungeons, some more characters, fishing minigame, some useless shit and items, and NG+ stuff and an extra ending.
I'm only thinking about getting half of these, any advice which to keep and which to ditch?
D itch cruelty squad Blood fresh supply void bastards
Pirate blood if you're really interested and use a port instead
EYE is great, but buggy. It has issues with saves sometimes not happening correctly, and sometimes important NPCs don't spawn. It's worth it, though. The shooting is the best of any FPS I've played.
Prey and Mankind Divided were fun. I couldn't really get into Void Bastards though.
Keep Cruelty Squad, check out RealRTCW. Improves Return To Castle Wolfenstein. I don't think you need the original to play it but I might be wrong.
>I don't think you need the original to play it but I might be wrong.
You do. It's also getting a getting an awesome Summer update this month that will add in a lot of cool things like the console version enemies (X-Shepards, Occult Priests), the option to add in more enemies per level, and a ton of optimization. Only thing left would be those. console exclusive missions.
Keep Prey, Dude Sex and Cruelty Squad
Void Bastards is alright for what it is, it's fairly short though and it has a simple gameplay loop. I'd probably put it in the ditch pile, but definitely keep Prey and DX:MD.
Pick blood off a key site, you're paying for convenience, not for game devving.
>never played Call of Duty
>want to play a Call of Duty
Which of the ones available on Steam are good? What's your favorite?
dont but the CODs just pirate them. And pick Infinity War. Its a fresher take on the COD campaign and has some scifi elements. Otherwise Black ops 3 has a multiple ending campaign. Or Modern Warfare 2/3 for some america frick yeah kino schlock. For all its faults, the COD campaigns are almost all pretty good.
Play the originals up to 4/MW1 and then end it there.
The earliest games are probably a little too dated for you, World at War still holds up though and is probably my favorite. Be warned, though, apparently every Japanese soldier in the CoD WWII universe carried approximately two dozen grenades with them at all times
Cant go wrong with any from COD1 to black ops 2 really. But dont buy them. especially dont for multiplayer, it will unironically give you viruses if you dont use an external tool for the old ones.
Best story mode imo is Black ops 1+2.
Modern warfare trilogy starts solid then gets messy at the end writing wise.
COD 1 gives the most "band of brothers" vibe and is one of the few where you don't feel like you're a mary sue (maybe a little)

I didn't play the others.
you forgot to mention MW19
No I didn't.
>I didn't play the others.
well add it to God Tier, I Played it for you.
Everyone has different opinions on what CoD games they consider good. I really like MW2 2009 and CoD2. (IDK if CoD2 is on Steam, I played that alot on 360, like, 15 years ago way back when.)
Opinion on this game and it's steam port?
https://aliveteam.github.io/
here friend you won't need much more to enjoy that game besides well the game itself
What should I buy?
Also please recommend anything, I've checked some of the stuff the store recommended, but I'm sure I missed something.
Forgot image.
Probably get the most bang for your buck with RDR2
Anyone else feels that Steam sales aren't good anymore and Switch/PlayStation sales are better?
I recently bought AI Somnium Files, Capcom Arcade Stadium and Castlevania Advance Collection on Switch, I also have tons of fricking games on the backlog like Pacman Museum+, Astral Chain, SMT V, DOOM 1, DOOM 2, DOOM 3 and 64, Bravely Default II, Aggelos, Blasphemous, Demon Turf, Ion Fury, Hotline Miami 1&2, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Ender Lilies, Steamworld, and other 200 games.
But also I am playing most N64 and Sega Genesis games, I'm currently enjoying Kirby 64, ToeJam & Earl, Ristar and Castlevania: Bloodlines
Honestly, I dunno how you ppl handle your backlog, guess I will stop getting games for a while except for Xeno 3, Bayo 3 and Splatoon 3.
Too many games on the backlog that Sales feels redundant
Mexico is a hellish shithole and that's why that girl left for a civilized country.
Ok switchgay, you may leave the thread now
>Anyone else feels that Steam sales aren't good anymore
Sort of.
>Switch/PlayStation sales are better?
Not for me.
Steam gives me third world prices so literally everything in the store is cheaper than if I lived in the US.
The only downside is, you know, living in the third world.
im pissed Pokken never goes on a discount digitally
>N64
>Splatoon
>XB3

looking for single player games that'll at least keep me busy for at least 2-3 months. not into grinding, but the Monster Hunter games have been piquing my interest the last few months.
should i drop the dough on Iceborne or Sunbreak? or forget all that and go for the Yakuza bundles? are any of the Megaman & Ace Attorney bundles worth it?
Sunbreak has a demo and I think regular Rise does too, try those.
Yakuza series is great, but I really wouldn't recommend to marathon the series. The games from 0 through 6 play basically the same, especially since Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are remakes so the 7 games share basically two variations of the same combat system. And they all share a map.
Monster Hunter is great and much better to play over long periods of time, but the downside is that the story is non-existent to ass. If the game is for you, you'll love it, there's potential for hundreds of hours there.
Ace Attorney games are both very worth it. Ace Attorney Trilogy has the best known games, the original trilogy that came out for the GBA initially but wasn't translated until the DS ports. Most people only played these, and they hold up. The other game (Great Ace Attorney) was actually a 3DS duology that didn't get official translations until a year ago with this version, and only the first game had a fan translation. It's really good too, although slower. I'd recommend getting the Trilogy first to see if you like the style. There's probably 60-70 hours of content in each of them.
What was the name of that game where you explore some factory-like place as a engineer and everyone called it boring. Steam deleted my cart and I have no clue what the name was.
Infra?
Yep, that was it. Thanks.
I don't how you would call that game boring
it's a pretty puzzle game but if you're getting it also play the fan expansion when you're done after you take a break
>Ultimate Fishing Simulator
Should I do it?
Never played it but you can never go wrong with fishing kino.
just go fishing irl
anything to add or remove?
Would like to play something like Megaman, or even Megaman itself. Where do I start? Any other recommendations?
Just bought Journey and Okami HD. I've never played these before, I hope they're the kino that they're hyped up to be.
Why hasn't this shit been torrented yet?
>not on sale
>pirating question
What are you doing here moron?
So I was planning on finally playing Nioh and Nier Automata and they're not on sale and still full price despite being 5 years old.
What in the frick? Do these games ever go on sale?
Nioh had a ten days long sale just before the start of the sale. No idea about Automata.
Don't bother with Nioh if you're a Soulsborne / Sekiro fan tho.
>Don't bother with Nioh if you're a Soulsborne / Sekiro fan tho
Yeah I played it and it felt so bad compared to those games.
japan golden week sale is in october, probably both on sale then
Some of the games I bought this sale:
>Underrail (pic related)
Really fricking fun, I've put 14 hours in over this weekend and I'm already thinking I'll replay once I finish. It's very satisfying locking off areas with molotovs and bursting into panicked muties. Full warning: This game isn't for everybody. It's pretty fricking hard, and the game doesn't do a great job explaining itself to new players. Would highly recommend if you like classic Fallout or CRPGs in general. Invest into crafting, I usually hate that shit but it's pretty good here. Also grenades are awesome and I wish I would've gotten into trapping but I'm too far in to start with it now. I'll probably replay this game 1,000 times so there's plenty of time.
>Halo: Infinite
Long time Halo player, I have to say this is a very soft recommendation. It's the best Halo game from 343 thus far. If you follow Halo, you know that ain't saying much. Game feels like a series of missed opportunities and the world is very hollow. I finished it this morning, it was very underwhelming. Overall, a very 7/10 game. I'd honestly wait for it to be $20-30. The multiplayer fricking sucks, but it's F2P so you probably knew that already.
>Red Dead Redemption 2
Felt no real inclination to play this since I waited this long. The whole thing is cinematic, and I mean that in a bad way. Waaaaay too much story and too little gameplay. I'm probably like halfway through now and I can honestly say if I didn't beat it I wouldn't really hurt too bad over it. Some of the characters are cool, and the shooting feels good. Oh yeah, the wanted system fricking sucks. Insult someone? Wanted level. Get into a bar fight? Wanted level. You get the idea. This game reminds me of the slogan "No Fun Allowed"
What are the best games where you can play as Germany in WW1/2?
company of heroes
CoH 2 is good. Unfortunately the commander system fricking sucks and after you sink a ton of hours in you realize just how much it limits the game. I haven't checked, but I imagine they put all the commanders on sale as well with the game. Skirmishing with the AI is plenty of fun, and the multiplayer is still alive if you feel like getting raped by autists.
Hell Let Loose is really good too. To this day my favorite online vidya memory was holding a village as the Wehrmacht, just me and my squaddies vs the American onslaught. Just be ready to get killed from who the frick knows where a lot until you begin to understand more about the general flow of gameplay and when you're safe and when you're not.
what shmups should i buy? here's my current games
Ikaruga.
Look into Hellsinker. Best 1 word descriptor I can come up with is "technical"
I like Graze Counter. Also, it's only 4$
No darius?
which darius? i already have g-darius on switch
There's several dariuses, including dariusburst (one of my faves, and one of the few games I've legit 1cc'd).
so dariusburst chronicle saviors?
Yes, also the other one pack of games, which includes my other favourite darius.

>Rimworld only 10% off yet again despite it being from 2018
What's the Rimworld devs' fricking problem? They NEVER let their fricking game go on sale for more than 10% off like they're Nintendo or some bullshit.
heads up their ass about how good their game is. same as factorio devs, they've said the game will not go on sale.
Frick em i'm not buying either
>how dare an indie dev want to make money off a niche product
No one's asking for the game to be free but when fricking Bandai Namco and Nintendo are more willing to offer significant discounts than you then we have a problem.
Bandai Namco and Nintendo also charge $60 for games that you play once and then never touch again. These games are literally half that price right out of the gate.
>both games sitting at 98% positive reviews with 100k+ reviews
they stopped being niche a long time ago
kys factorio/rimworld dev
>niche
>over 1 million copies sold
You'd think you'd get more than just floating early access tier sprites with zero animations for the money if this game is the AAAAA shit the devs act like it is
>niche
>3.5 million to 6 million copies sold
shut up moron
I guess I shouldn't expect much from dwarf fortress tier incels.
Shame, cause I'd probably buy it if it was ever 25% off, but I can't see my way to $30+ for this game.
Just pirate it you homosexual.
pirating is for children
Whining too.
whining about a game not having a sale
if you're an adult then you have a job, right? $30 is like 2 hours worth of work at a median salary, quit fricking crying
sorry factorio/rimworld dev, i ain't buying your shit
>i-is that a price higher than 2.49? AAAAAAAAHHHHH HELP ME GABE
Give it a rest already homosexual.
only 2 of those posts were mine but here you are still crying
I'm just a bystander in this, I have absolutely no interest in either of those games, just felt compelled to point out that you are being an obnoxious twat.
It's always funny to watch all the apologist gays come out of the woodwork to defend their autist shit being needlessly overpriced and run by greedy-ass devs
the devs obviously do not fricking care or they'd give you your ~20% discount you got damn idiot
Because it genuinely is that good.
^ and double so for factorio.
How can I get rid of these old betas and shit that I can gift but obviously no one would fricking want?
They are sitting in my inventory and for practical purposes they don't (or shouldn't) affect me at all but just having them there bothers my autism something fierce.
I'll take em, I have a lot of shit in my inventory and I don't mind having more shit. If they're all giftable then you can send them to my email: [email protected]
Jupiter Hell or Cogmind?

Best VR games?
Games you liked?
You already probably know the established classics, so I won't bother you with these.
I have only played Half Life Alyx but am aware of Boneworks and Palov.
Saints and Sinners? Pistol Whip? Ancient Dungeon VR? After the Fall (mp)? Blade and Sorcery? Budget Cuts? Dash Dash World (mario kart clone)? Espire 1? Skyrim? Dirt Rally? Dragon Fist Kung Fu? Synth Riders? Eye of the Temple (requires big room)? Fallout 4? Legendary Tales? The Mage's Tale? Ohshape? Project Wingman? SW Squadrons? Serious Fricking Sam? Tales of Glory? Vengeful Rites? Walkabout Minigolf? VTOL? Vox Machinae? Age of Sigmar? Sisters of Battle? Vox Machinae? The wizards series? Into the Radius (stalker)? Other people may rec other games.
I basically do nothing but play Blade and Sorcery with mods, sometimes I feel like playing Skyrim with VR improving mods, which is also a really great experience.
Then there's Alyx ofc but I spoiled myself before getting a headset so I'm not feeling it as much, still haven't finished it.
Do I?
That's around $35 in the 1st world currency
what the frick is wrong with you?
w-what's the problem, sir?
Help ever since I got a ton of money from crypto I can't stop spending it on games, I've done like three separate purchases on stuff I always kept an eye for and I'm now looking for a 4th looking at what people are buying here. It feels weird to have spent above $200 bucks on games alone at this point.
so you need help controlling your money ? get a wife. hell better yet get an accountant.
based crypto sultan
buy dyson sphere program and brigador
I already have them.
The thing is I don't need to control my money, I can blow an entire thousand and still be ok, but it just feels weird to spend this much.
Poor upbringing? don't worry bro it'll settle in soon.
if you "can blow an entire thousand and still be ok" you're definitely not rich enough to spend a thousand dollars on games
So how is Code Vein? The anime characters with the environment clash hard and puts me off some but it seems like it could be good.
Is it worth 12 dollars?
I played it on Gamepass for ~~*free*~~ and couldn't really see in any value you in it beyond the coom potential. So if you want a dark souls game that you can nut to, sure.
>If you want a dark souls game that you can nut to

Damn it's tempting to be a israelite.
Just get them from the keysite. Publishers are the real israelites for giving their game away for practically free through backchannels, yet then leaving the storefront price high.
If you're one of the complainers: what am I supposed to make of your attitude towards your own work, when I see it got out on a keysite? Respect yourself, take your own game seriously, and I will too.

I look through these threads and see nothing that interests me. I just go back to games I already own that have no end. I'm starting to think I'm tired of video games.
Nothing wrong with replaying things you already know you like. Unless of course you are not actually having fun with those I guess.
Where can I subscribe to your blog?
You are already subbed moron.
I'm too poor to afford anything I want but go to these threads to see recommendations
Same, but sometimes I buy actually buy something and it's always a mistake.
you know every time you replay a game you enjoy you add a value multiplier to that purchase
if those games are mobas, mmorpgs or arps then you have a mental disorder.
otherwise you just need to find the right game to give you a new experience. for me it was ghostunner today
any games like planet coaster or planet zoo where you can have fun without having to buy $500 of DLC? I have RCT already, want something with more modern graphics
Is mafia 1 and 2 kino? I know 3 is woke trash but was wondering if the first two are good
The first one was "redone" so it might be pozzed.

-Chernobylite
-Draugen
-Cave story
-Tormented souls
-Teardown
-HROT
-Ghostrunner
-Kingdom Two Crowns
-A Short Hike
-HighFleet
Teardown is FUN
Nice, okay! It looked fun but I just couldn't tell if it was gonna be fun for maybe a half an hour and then become boring or if it was worth the money.
I'll add that to my cart.
>What from this list are must haves
Teardown is the only must have from that list
Cave Story is good.
I only heard good things about Highfleet. HROT has a demo you can try. Honestly the "must have" in your list is A Short Hike and what the other guy said about Teardown. The rest are still good. Maybe drop Cave Story+ and just download the original free version.
Thanks fellas.
The first Kingdom game was okay, no idea about Two Crowns.
A Short Hike is comfy as frick.
Highfleet is warlord approved, but I am not sure.

Northern Exposure?
Hitman 3 worth its current price?
Hitman 3 has a mmo-grade waiting line for the server on a single player game.
Do you wanna go thru that?
It's good if you get the entire trilogy in one swoop, if you already have Hitman 2 you only need to log into it after buying base Hitman 3 to automatically unlock the DLC on it, buying it is weird, just don't pay more than you need to. Also the VR is fun but very janky and your in game body goes everywhere except where you want it to go.

Total: $26, I have based taste I know
It's alright taste. I used to really like the story of Spec Ops The Line when I was young. Now I just think it's more pretentious than good. Still worth a playthrough. Mad Max is fine. Everything else is good.
No problem
Any game to add/drop from the cart?
you forgot alan wake american nightmare
Thanks anons, I think pretty much these are the games that will keep me occupied till the next big sale.
Sadly I never played Dungeon Keeper, so I don't know if it will be a type of game I might be interested in.
add overlord dlc and overlord 2 like I did. They are like one dollar each don't be a penny pincher
shit
finally lurking this thread pays off
I completely forgot about Bully existing
always wanted to play it
and it's 70% off
based
I love you
Dungeons 3 if you like overlord and wanna go for a Dungeon Keeper approach at the "bad goy" type of game.
Games where I can roam an open world listening to music and randomly fighting shit? FNV, Far Cry 5 etc.
state of decay 2 is underrated from a small studio if you're into zombieshit. If trying to relax with no stakes prototype or saints row
Saints Row, Watch Dogs
Sleeping Dogs? Wait does that have music in it? I don't remember
Is Civ 6 an improvement over Civ 5?
NO.
I'm getting one last cheap game on sale, which one Ganker?
get Recettear instead and pirate bully since it does not work without modding it anyways
Bully port is atrocious even if the game is good.
Listen to
(me)
Don't starve
I feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like Recettear. As far as I can tell it's just a guessing game where you lose if you guess wrong too many times.
I kinda miss the previous sale threads
Sorry, I'm a newbie. What's the difference between then and now? More gifting?
Yeah pretty much but also more interactions
I been wanting cuphead but no one one is willing to gift anymore
Hey. These are hard times kot. Sales are worse and wages aren't increasing. I wish I was there though. I also wish times will be better in the future.
I know a Plague Tale is Sony movie game tier but I really like the setting. It's like nine bucks.
Worth it?
It's one of the better Sony-like movie games, especially for a AA studio. I'd say this and Hellblade are worth the price.
Every other super popular beloved indie game that's on sale. (Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Hades)
I'm sold, thanks dude.
No problem. They're solid games, or should I say "experiences". lol
anything else?
if you're interested i have a code for cuphead you can have it if you get me a 10 dollar game
not that anon but if you could please I been wanting to play it for a while now I'm also
