DMT Has Friends For Me Shirt $21.68 |
Recommend me some Y2K-core games.
It's a vague term, so something with hectic gameplay, bright colors, cool music, simple graphics, overall retro aesthetic. Like stuff you would see on the Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, N64.
Here's some games that caught my eye and kind of fit my description.
Dinkum
YIIK is really good if you haven't heard of it
Gun Metal
https://store.steampowered.com/app/267920/Gun_Metal/
spark the electric jester, all the games are good
crosscode
boomerang x
broken reality, if you're ok with a chill adventure game instead of hectic gameplay
Is that Sonic Adventure DX port even good? I read a review that said you need a mod. I've only played Sonic Mania and liked it, I was never really into Sonic.
Spark looks fun and has a cute mascot, I will give it a look. Good recs, thank you.
>74 cents
I had some dim sum earlier that was more expensive than this, sure why the frick not
Looks cool, will give it a look. Never played an RTS before though.
Lol yeah I'm aware the dialogue sucks ass but the gameplay looked nice
Playing the demo right now. Cute character. Human men.
>neon white
Deadass bussin fr fr on God no cap slaps
It not even at good price because interplay is filled with israelites and the guy who ruined it in the first place.
Try Lunistice
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1701800/Lunistice/
Got Severed Steel. It's good, but a bulk of its content is in score attack stages and just replaying the game, don't go into it expecting a lengthy campaign mode(About 2-2 1/2 hours).
Vividlope is actually pretty good even though it didn't get much attention outside of Ganker. I enjoyed it at least.
Vividlope has Y2K-Core all over it. Sad we do not get enough games like that.
I just finished the demo and it was fun. It honestly felt a bit hard for a casual looking game, I didn't get anything better than C in the last few stages. But to be fair that's on me.
The aesthetic is really good, I wonder how different is the actual game.
Only 20% off, but a cool game

REMINDER TO PIRATE DISCO ELYSIUM! DEVS HAD THEIR GAME STOLEM FROM THEM.
I bought it after reading this.
It worked : )
good frick those commie homosexuals
qrd?
Games where you play as the Nazis?
Any ww2 game

best DLCs for djmax?
most core DJ MAX is good so get all the previous games' packs, primarily the first game, clazziquai, black square, and all the technika ones. 2&3 if you played those games and liked them
How hard is DJ MAX? I thought I was pretty good at rhythm games, but then Project DIVA broke my soul.
Depends on your scale
If you actually have played bemani games it's mid to hard, you'll most likely be playing on keyboard and having a dedicated finger for each note shifts the difficulty
the in-game hard maps are mid and maximum/SC are the actual hard ones
Seems like you're coming from rhythm games with limited inputs so the hard maps will be actually hard for you. The cool part is that all songs have different modes (4/5/6/8 buttons), with each individual mode having several difficulties. So there's something for everyone even if you play with controller
Overall, low entry point with a relatively high ceilling
Any RPG,JRPG,ARPG,Tactical RPG recommendations?
don't care if 4 homies, or action homies, or click homies.
just want something where I can get gear, do side quest, and shit like that.

have a nice day.
He's not wrong, there is not a single person on Earth that likes KCD that isn't a complete moron. It's basically the white equivalent of blaxploitation, an extremely low quality piece of media made by a fat israelite for people who've been sold a fake identity by said fat israelites.
>It's basically the white equivalent of blaxploitation
so it's based?
There is absolutely nothing based about being degraded and made into a bad stereotype.
Yeah this b***h never played afro samurai and it shows
>bad stereotype
bad as in good?
Bad as in everyone acts like something in between an evangelical Christian and that one npc in Oblivion with down syndrome that needs to tell you how much he really loves dogs.
I will now but KCD that sounds like ludokino
I really hope you're samegayging, because the alternative is that we have more than one person this blindingly moronic in the thread. And you really need to try to stand out with some of the dogshit taste people have in these threads.
What is good about KCD, you absolute moron? It's completely historically inaccurate, the gameplay is terrible, the writing is terrible, it's a buggy mess, it's boring and braindead, so PLEASE tell me how this game is not an absolute piece of shit?
>It's completely historically inaccurate
Based on what? Either you're complaining that it isn't 1:1 a retelling of events that happened which the game never pretends to do (as explicitly stated in the codex) which would make you moronic, or you're one of those gays mad that there weren't black Moor rape babies which would also make you moronic.
>the gameplay is terrible
The only part of the gameplay that you could say is bad is the swordplay balance.
>the writing is terrible
The writing and quest design is fantastic.
>it's a buggy mess
You haven't played the game. Post a screenshot to prove you've played the game or I'll ignore your worthless attempts at criticism and just call you a cum gargling Black person homosexual.
>Based on what
I'm not writing a massive historical essay on how absurdly wrong everything is.
>The writing and quest design is fantastic.
Sounds like you enjoy the taste of shit. What is your bar for good quests, oblivion and witcher?
>You haven't played the game. Post a screenshot to prove you've played the game
I'm not even home.
Good excuse homosexual your opinion can be thrown in the trash
Nice dodge dumb /misc/ Black person
>cites a homosexual youtuber who goes off pictures he looked up instead of actual historical records or real articles of clothing from the time period that still exist
>literally hasn't even played the game
You're a cum guzzling Black person homosexual, your favorite youtuber is a moron who knows less than nothing about history, and you're a literal (not metaphorical) moron for getting mad about a game you haven't played because some gay who's videos you watch incorrectly b***hed about its historical accuracy.
>cites a homosexual youtuber who goes off pictures he looked up instead of actual historical records or real articles of clothing from the time period that still exist
That's a professional historical reenactor/history major.
>some autistic historyBlack person on youtube nitpicked over some minor inaccuracies adopted for the sake of narrative and gameplay
>REEEEEEEE SHIT GAME SHIT GAME!
>minor inaccuracies

I'm posting again because it was at the end of the last thread.

Planet Zoo
Should I buy Dark Soul 1 or wait for further discount
Its not going to go any lower, this is the first time its been discounted in years
Probably never going lower than this, try looking for a key if anything or pirate PTDE and use DSFix if you don't care about multiplayer
Grabbed a few things, anything I should drop and anything else I should grab? Thinking of waiting on system shock until it goes on sale for more than 20%
Also, is it worth getting the original version of Jagged Alliance 2 as well?
Death stranding is shit take it off
im here just to say that you are a stupid homosexual
It's a game that you couldn't even pay me to play it's so fricking boring and tedious and the story is stuck up so far up it's own ass it isn't even funny
Also my English has gotten much worse after high school, its*
didn't ask, didn't read, you're gay.
>Also, is it worth getting the original version of Jagged Alliance 2 as well?
Yes that is the one version you actually should get. How did not a single person know the answer to this? This used to be a Ganker game.
huntdown for $4 is a good deal
How autistic do you need to be to get into X4: Foundations? And do you need the expansions?
What to buy?
DS1 will probably get a deeper discount in the winter sale.
You stupid b***h. You had several people post their recs from your wishlist earlier this morning. Frick you and don't post again.
I just want a few good games that aren't either fifty hours long or endless roguelikes or whatever.
Just something with a solid and memorable begining, middle, and end that's like 8-12 hours maybe.
gone home
I highly recommend Gurumin and Mulaka
Recommend me good fps games that aren't boomer shooters (already played most of them) or modern AAA garbage
battlebit
onirism
These French gays had to go and ruin the thread with their kusoge that plays like a unity asset flip
Uhhh bros, what did they mean by putting those two first tags like that?
It’s a dicky game :))
was gonna say medal of honor airborne but apparently it's not on steam anymore unless you subscribe to EA's steam thing
Any recommended recent boomer shooters to try?
citadel lol
if you decide to buy citadel get it off fanatical in bundle instead of paying 8 dollars for one game
https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/fight-shoot-survive-bundle
The other games look like straight shit that I'd never play lmao
Why are you trying to start shit for no reason. The bundle has well liked shooters is 7.99 compared to 8.24 from steam.
>I will pay you extra to NOT bundle the game I actually want with garbage
This is why steam is successful.
it works for itch.io with those Celeste + Baba is You + 500 other games you've never heard about bundles
I did. Golden light is a gem as well.
slayers x is a good build engine-like, but it's pretty short
HROT, Trepang2 is a lot like FEAR if you consider that a boomer game to begin with.
Looks like brown dirt everywhere, very unappealing
Yeah I thought it looked a bit too drab myself, but could be worth a look. I see Prodeus in a lot of carts lately so that might interest you if you haven't heard of it. I'm also on the fence with it.
Sekiro is a short single player action game with one weapon and a bunch of skills, Elden Ring is open world Dark Souls so you have builds and different weapons to pick. Very different games, depends on what you want.
onirism
troonyism even though there nothing troony about it lol
yes I'm obsessed with
Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath Vengance of the Slayer is a glorious shitpost that will only make sense if you were of a certain age in the early 2000’s
Cultic is an amazingly solid game that’s like a hybrid of Blood and Resident Evil 4
Prodeus looks and plays amazing, has fantastic weapons, has some excellent community-made maps, but the checkpoint system almost ruins it
Selaco seems like a fun hybrid of Doom and FEAR, only played the demo though
If you only get one I’d recommend Cultic.
cannot wait to gift slayers x to my tryhard bartender older brother
Maybe pick up Hypnospace Outlaw for yourself alongside that. Slayers X is implied to have been made in that game’s universe.
Since everyone appears to be asking for recs I'll ask as well.
I'm looking for a spine-chilling story rich, character development driven, slow-burn type game
outer wilds unironically
I already played that thoughever
What remains of edith finch sounds right up your alley for a boring shit fest that works in movies but not as a game
I just need you to go ahead and recommend something that isn't coal
Quit shilling this French pedo game you're going to ruin this fricking thread
How about you don't get your panties in a wad over someone recommending a game in a steam shill thread.
I don't respect pedophiles and that shit game already has a containment thread in the catty
>I don't respect pedophiles
Why not?
Because they're flamboyant homosexuals, they insist upon themselves, and they want to frick children which is incredibly evil...alright go ahead and defend fricking children I know you want to since you play pedorism
>they insist upon themselves
So they're New Vegas players?
New vegas if they're a troon pedo, and fallout 3 if they're a brown poojeet pedo
Have you ever heard of a movie
Who's Lila is the only story-driven that has caught my attention in a long time
ghost trick
somnium files
Disco Elysium.
Anyone got some good VN recs? Maybe some horror themed ones.
Sekiro or Elden Ring?
That’s a real quality vs quantity debate. I think personally if I could only have one I’d pick Sekiro, but it’s absolutely not a game for everyone. There’s no weapon or build variety, it’s like a FromSoft take on a character action game. It‘s also a game where you’ll either click with the gameplay or you won’t, it demands a lot from the player in terms of reactions and timing and there aren’t really ways to cheese or outlevel bosses and enemies like in the Souls games. I’m currently on my fourth playthrough of Sekiro, NG+3, charmless, and with the demon bell active, which is the game’s actual hard mode so I think it’s fair to say it hit the spot for me but it might not for you. A first playthrough of Sekiro might run about 50 hours if you try to explore everything.
Elden Ring on the other hand, while not being the polished and flawless gem that Sekiro is, does offer a frankly absurd amount of content. It’s a massive open world to explore with great diversity in the environments you visit, some excellent self-contained locations, massive build variety, massive weapon variety, multiple magic systems, AI summons, magic abilities that slot to weapons, and more besides. There’s some memorable characters and encounters, a few genuinely challenging late-game bosses, a massive amount of secrets and hidden areas to uncover, and the gameplay is a solid refinement of the Dark Souls formula. My first playthrough lasted around 200 hours.
So really it comes down to whether you want a tight, focused, perfectly-crafted experience at the risk of the gameplay maybe not being for you, or a massive sprawl of content that you can generally bend to your preferred playstyle.
This post makes Elden Ring sound like the better sale. Personally I love both but ER is much more replayable too. Sekiro feels like a game you'd really appreciate if you already like the Souls formula and want to see From twist it a bit, not to mention it is probably their most polished game ever. It is probably the best not-Souls you can play.
But yeah very different games too in many ways. One has builds, the other has skill trees. One has multiplayer and PvP, the other is strictly SP. One has a vague story, the other has distinct characters and an actual plot.
any other /agdg/ games?
Deepfake is a whole 25% off
refunding it 'cause it sucks lol
Drop NMH series; shit ports and 3 sucks.
No particular reason to pay that much for SMT3 AND 4 fricking other lengthy JRPG's at once the actual frick are you doing.
Get 1 or 2 of those. Then by the time you're done, it'll be near christmas and they'll be the same price or cheaper.
Fate/Extella is overpriced. Super short game with very little content and very basic movesets. It is however unlikely to ever be cheap, so you do you.
Tales of Vesperia is missables: The game. Only play it if you don't care about that or are fine following a walkthrough. Combat is also only particularly fun in the endgame and story is full of missed opportunities; very meh game.
No. Zest is the second worst Tales on steam (ToS is the best then they're mediocre or bad).
Yes. You kind of need the DLC for pretty much any atually fun mod.
4: Fine but just kind of outdated
5: You constantly get knocked out by invisible snipers making the story trash but it plays better than 4
6: didnt play
Primal: Very limited options for taking down anything, throwing simulator
I'd say 5, but they're all just worse than 3 tbqh
Thoughts? I've played and enjoyed most other Yakuza/Judgement games.
I already went ahead and bought Pac-Man Re-Pac and Stranger of Paradise.
Picked up Children of Morta. Fun little roguelike diablo type game.
How much will I regret buying the $500 Steam Deck if I don't leave my home outside of going to work?
Thinking about buying this, not pictured Ishin and Ryza 2.
Good taste bro but you forgot that neon white uses zoomer ebonics phrases
NMH1/2 are some fricking shitty ports.
After looking into it, yeah I'm probably going to pirate the switch ports.
You should also play Travis strikes again before 3.
was also on the fence about ishin, i don't care that there's shitty eceleb dlc
Mastering redout 2's mechanics is pretty fun but holy shit this game's campaign not even including DLCs is ridiculously long. Picrel has my hour count in that game and I am only about 3/4ths of the way through the game's main set of events.
>NMH
Like the other guy said and you realized, switch port emulation.
Also do play TSA
Bloodstained is fun
Never buy denuvo games (wienerturne, just emulate the switch version)
Neon white is fun but a 2/10 story
Haven't heard good stuff from tales games but I never played them in the first place
Cyber Sleuth is fun, at least for the "first" part. Dont bother with hacker's memory
Resonance of fate is pure ludo, don't bother thinking about the story unless you have the motivation to talk to all NPC around you after every story beat
Is there any gimmick shit for this sale besides the usual discovery queue trading card shit?
I'm completing the brat pack
How are you guys buying so many games? I'm buying 2-3 that are heavily discounted and I feel like I'm wasting money.
I have a job.
So you waste money just because you can instead of donating it to worthy causes?
What worthy cause could outshine my own personal enjoyment and luxury?
Girls That Code
Will they have sex with me? I sacrifice so much of my life, can I at least get laid? You know what I mean? Can I at least get a blowjob?
If you pay them enough, like a couple million, they can code you a game where you get a handshake after a date
donating to the poor or homeless, perhaps? The wealth needs to be more equally distributed because it’s only becoming more unequal
And what care do I have for them? Do I know these people?
It's called being a decent human being.
Decent human beings would kick the poor and homeless in the head until their heads started leaking tears/blood/brain and I really mean that
Unconvincing. I like my games.
>The wealth needs to be more equally distributed because it’s only becoming more unequal
>donate to the poor, sick, homeless
>they use said money to buy medicine, food and other stuff from the big corpos
We did it Reddit!
I have a job that pays well
Who cares lol
Having a ton of games just means an enormous backlog, having to keep track of what games you own, what games you are motivated to play, whether you decide to put it on hold or drop it completely
I’ve dropped a few games that i bought that I regret, and if the other anon buy too many games and then change their mind about them in the future, well that’s not our problem is it
I have an appreciable number of shares in several multinational corporations
I just lurk the threads for recs on games I then pirate
I wouldn't mind giving recommendations to pirates just the financial part Steam sales makes you think more critically about decisions and the people who actually get your recommendations are more likely to play it since there was an investment.
I also can't be assed to keep track of denuvo cracks being available or not.
I just add things to my huge list of 300+ games that seem interesting and pick from that at random when I finish whatever I'm already playing. That way I always have something new to play but without any of the inconvenience that comes with an actual backlog of owned games.
Hey, if that works for you great. I'm the kind of person who would spend all my time pirating games and setting them up just to never actually play them. Paying for them helps me focus.
I live in a third world country where they are cheap as shit but they have been relentlessly increasing in price, i'm stocking up out of FOMO
I expect to refund at least 1 of them
Just buy games that are dirt cheap and that you are interested in trying out at least in the near future. There is almost no point in ever buying video games outside a sale. My backlog is 100 games, and I've finished 105. God knows how many I tried out but shelved after a while.
I have a job and refuse to buy gf.
What Metroidlikes do I need to play?
Buy the Castlevania collections if you haven't already.
rabi ribi
monster boy and the cursed kingdom
touhou luna nights
la-mulana 1 and 2
the ori games
Dead Cells with all DLC including the Castlevania DLC.
Any games with cute girls, without being straight up h games?
ECHO
do i do it
I don't have an opinion on tales of zestiria but NFS unbound is not that great imho. I enjoyed it because it has better driving physics than any NFS game since Rivals, but the soundtrack has some pretty shit tracks and the online is a bit grindy with the amount of cars locked behind specific challenges.
Bought Fatal Frame 4. The movements are REALLY sluggish even compared to 5 and the combat takes something to get a hang off but the atmosphere is really solid imo.
Why the frick are we talking about pedos?

im really high and it's unlkely to get lower from here. what should i buy and/or play
pic rel.
Based pic. Resident Evil 2 remake is on sale for $10. That game is fun.
Do you have any games made in america?
hey don't pretend to be me
however i also have this question
I do. What kind of games do you prefer? Rpgs, shooters, action, open world etc?
Yeah, but they're not very good.
You still want them?
Far cry 4, 5, 6 or primal? I heard there's loads of negatives about the maps or something fricky.
Far Cry 4 and Primal use the same map, but the games are so dramatically different that it doesn't really matter.
Far Cry 3, 4, 5, and 6 are all basically the same game, so unless you care about the story just get 6.
5 actually feels different since the setting is rural america. The other games just blend together since they're all set in exotic jungle islands.
SUP homie they call me
FAR CRY FRANK
i play every far cry game and i frickin love that shit.people say "hur dur all you is x" thats right homie you do. i jumping outta planes shootin brown skins and then grenading a homie in a hut why because it's got damn fun. far cry is as fun as you make it and yeah homie if you lookn for a story go read a book.
Far Cry Primal and 6 are the best.
3 was great for it's time and felt fresh and exciting before the ubisoft formula was established. 5 came close to recapturing that magic with a unique setting. The rest are skippable imo.
5 for running and gunning, primal if you would rather going around bonking people in the head and throwing massive clubs at people
Mostly looking for shit to play on the steam deck. Have a 7 month old so not on my main pc much. Rpgs or crpg recommendations or something to pick up and play in bursts would be good recommendations
Dragon Quest XI and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne are some good turn based RPGs so you can just pick them up and put them down whenever.
Might click, might not. Not really sure why you're getting the XIII trilogy but maybe you have some nostalgia. You do you.
Trails series is also turn based and runs great on a deck but it depends if you mind a slow RPG with a lot of dialogue that doesn't push the plot forward but fleshes out the world.
Is V Rising decent or another shitty arpg?
It's a meme flavor of the month, and that month was May 2022. Don't bother with it at this point. Dead and not fun at all if you're playing alone or on empty servers. Barely even fun with friends because the gameplay was shit imo.
what are some open world survival craft games where the endgame is getting a shitton of guns and mowing down everything (with hordes of things to mow down)
the only game that really scratches that itch for me is 7 days to die
Mostly trying to look for shit that isn't racing/FPS to play right now. What does Ganker think of these (aside from the DLC)?
>Mostly trying to look for shit that isn't racing/FPS to play right now
homie you got like 15 fps games on there
OK fair enough but I also do not own any of the half life games or the original portal.
Would I enjoy Endless Space 2? I have about 200 hours in Civ 4 and 6 and about 600 hours in Civ 5. That is really the limit of my experience with strategy games as a whole besides a handful of SRPGs. I'm horrible at RTS and never played a GS, but I know ES2 is a 4X like Civ.
As fun as the simulator part in Hardspace:Shipbreaker is, be aware it has one of the most god-awful, ham-fisted story I've experienced in a game. It is middle-schooler level writing and is unskippable.
Octopath Traveler 2 is my GOTY. Each individual characters story is separate until the last act. If you have to play in bursts, it wouldn't be hard to get back into as their is a journal to recap stuff and each individual characters story is not very long. You do not need to play the first game if you are wondering, 2 does everything better.
Return of the Obra Dinn, Disco Elysium, Pentiment
If you have civ 4 experience you will take to endless space 2 like a duck to water. Look up starts, starting correctly is important on harder difficulties, but the game itself is not very hard imo
>Would I enjoy Endless Space 2
with that much civ experience you'll be fine. protip: almost everything in that game is color coded and/or has an icon relating to what it does (green means food, orange means production).
fun part of endless space (and legends) is how different the factions play from one another.
i am once again coming to you to recommend steep. a very good game that is comfy and fun and cheap
I got this for my stoner little brother years ago but I think he never played it. I just wanted him to be comfy while hes high as frick
Got it on sale years ago when the 30gb install was more significant.
Installed it, tried to boot it up, the Ubisoft client popped up and I couldn't remember my password. Closed it, a week later I uninstalled it for other things I got during a sale. Never went back.
It's probably good, don't think I was actually itching for a downhill game as much as I thought.
does it use the ubisoft launcher? I refuse to go through that shit. otherwise it seems sick.
Recommend me a game with extremely high replay value.

It's really not that hard. Just buy crowns and move your units around properly.
are those monster prom/roadtrip games any good? asking for a friend
Looks alright to me, some of the reviews suggest it's pretty short but I'm getting some arousal off the character designs. Can't imagine getting the game if you aren't into Monster girls or baras.
Looks like they have demos, I'd try those before deciding. They do appear to have capitalized on the lack of Monster Girl stuff on Steam before the porn flooded in.
Recommend me touhou games/fangames
Touhou Mystia's Izakaya.
Are there any good games with weird/unusual settings like Planescape/Pathologic/The Void?
All of them, if you aren't a soulless drone.
Dread Delusion, Brigand: Oaxaca?
ACE Team got good surreal games like Zeno Clash. 2 is horribly optimized though so not toaster friendly.
I see all these games I want to buy. Then I realize I have no time to play them.
Why are you homosexuals arguing about KCD? Shut the frick up, you're shitting up the thread with your little slap fight.
Etrian odyssey like games?
Or party rpgs to hold me over until bg3?
Already played wotr,dos2,solasta,Dao, all souls, labyrinth of refrain
Dave the Diver
Pizza Tower
Hardspace: Shipbreaker
PowerWash Simulator
Riftbreaker
I can get one, but which?
Only one of those I've played is Pizza Tower and I really like Pizza Tower.
Play the demo or pirate it to get a feel for if you like the controls or not. It'll also go on a deeper discount eventually so there's no rush.
>Riftbreaker
Someone give opinions on this it looks fun I love fat mechs
>Would I enjoy Endless Space 2? I have about 200 hours in Civ 4 and 6 and about 600 hours in Civ 5
Its very lacking in terms of QoL and a lot of mechanics are very simplistic (like do 1 favor for a minor faction, they instantly fold and join you, all at once, perfectly unified, with no delay) so I'd say it may be kind of too stupid for you. If you like space though you can do worse. I'd say get base game and see if you like it, rather than jump all in on DLC.
Berseria is added to bundles or super cheap all the time but also fricking sucks with a fairly moronic story and broken combat system that just boils down to spamming your op moves because the game actively rewards you for doing so.
Arise costs much more and is okay.
Do you want an okay game or a cheap shit one
Fate extella you will finish within a day
Good list bro very cute
Riftbreaker is very fun. Like Factorio mixed with am RTS and Diablo.
do you need the dlc to play it? like is it unplayable without it?
I played it at launch before any DLC, so I'd say no. No idea what they add, but it was fun on its own
thx u cutie
>Its very lacking in terms of QoL and a lot of mechanics are very simplistic (like do 1 favor for a minor faction, they instantly fold and join you, all at once, perfectly unified, with no delay)
This poster plays paraslop and does not understand 4x, what an absurd complaint.
Okay brainlet
Some of us play real space games with real mechanics
I don't know what paraslop is, but it sounds dumb, like these mechanics.
>Some of us play real space games with real mechanics
Literally endless space 2, it does literally everything MoO2 does, but with better mechanics, more interesting factions, and a dynamic economy. I have no idea how you can complain about minors, like that isn't exactly how minors work in Civ.
just because a x4 doesn't require you watching 5 different youtube videos outside of the tutorial to understand mechanics doesn't mean it's not good
sins of a solar empire is a good x4 lite thats underrated
>endless space is too easy
>also I don't know how to play it
Why is there so many normalgays shitting up Ganker now
>sins of a solar empire
A damn shame Sins 2 is locked behind Epic.
>Its very lacking in terms of QoL and a lot of mechanics are very simplistic
Why would you just make things up?
Oh it's a moronic dbz Hispanic. Rangeban SA when?
You can pirate all of those.

Will I really get banned if I use Flawless Widescreen? I want to play online in these games with my Dell Alienware AW3423DW.
Alright
tales of berseria

neither but if you have to choose berseria better fap bait
how are the ff pixel remakes?
Fine, I just wish the color palette in 6 wasn't so bright.
Decent, but they are easily moddable to get back original fonts, SNES, soundtracks, etc if you want.
They're far and away the best versions of 3, 5 and 6.
why not 4? is it the toned down one difficulty wise?
Not them, but you can tweak the difficulty up and down using mods on the Pixel Remaster.
I think it's more that the other ports of 4 can offer you a lot so it's not quite clean cut like the others. I mean there's the 3D one with voice acting, that one or another one might let you change your party endgame and the PSP one that comes with the After Years in case you really want to keep playing.
Pixel Remaster is the best version if you're trying to stay faithful to vanilla though.
4 has a PSP version that has all of the content and higher detail sprites. The content is pretty decent (unlike 5 and 6) so it's a toss up on what's more important to you.
They're great ways to play the games depending on how autistic you are with emulation and how much you care about content added in other ports.
Some of them are the ideal way to play the game but you'll have to get specific on which ones you care about to get that feedback.
Ff10 port worth playing?
the game looks better but the characters faces are worse which sucks. if you don't mind older games i'd emulate but otherwise just play the hd,it's fine
Yeah, been out a long time and I've never heard anyone have major complaints with it.
good
make sure to get the mods to change font
>every hitman game is on sale
>except the nu-trilogy
for frick sake it's the one i want, i knew i should've bought when it was on sale during march
Anyone want to redpill me on DBZ games?
Any game that lets you make your own OC DonutSteel insert to kick Vegeta in the balls with.?
Xenoverse/2. The combat mechanics are super weak, but they're pretty much the peak for self-inserting mary sue shit.
Otherwise the good DBZ games aren't on PC.
This. Be sure to check out DBZ: Dokkan Battle. 8th anni is coming up in a few days!~
>Otherwise the good DBZ games aren't on PC.
arent on Steam* you can emulate them
what the best DBZ game then?
DBZ: Dokkan Battle!!
Is that the gacha shit one on the phone?
Yes! My Boy! You know of it!
DBZ Dokkan is fricking terrible.
Wrong.
Budokai 3 by a mile from what I've played, but they make so many of these things.
Its okay when Civ does it because its not in space duuh
>All of africa agrees to bow to the guy who fixed some guys dogs ballsack
Based and true to life
>Entire planet spanning society that doesn't even have the tech to communicate on a global scale bow to the guy who fixed some guys space dogs ballsack
Fricking stupid
>Budokai 3 by a mile from what I've played, but they make so many of these things.
Yeah, I'm not in deep on DBZ games but it's probably Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4. It's a hack of the PS2 version of 3 that adds a shitload of stuff and is still in active development.
The tenkaichi games don't have mid-battle soulful transformations so they're inferior by default.
Objectivley speaking

Recommend me Roman Empire games
Expeditions Rome
Frog = no buy, I get to make the rules
Total War Rome 2 is pretty good as long as you haven't played more modern total wars. The improvements Warhammer makes are too noticeable to ever go back.
TWR is vomit. There are a gorillion better Rome games and it's extremely unfortunate it has become the face of that setting.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/277460/Praetorians/
This is basically Dawn of War but Rome. Don't buy the remaster.
hoarder bros wya?
Dragon Quest or a combination of the other 3?
DQ
I love DS1 but it has no business being at that price these days.
hey it's a classic heh heh heh don't you want to replay this genre defining souls-like? oh how about you also buy elden ring, and dark souls 3? they are separate games trust me and plays very differently oh and don't worry we have a new game coming out that will be very different since it has robots
How do you know the price if the thirdie won't post currency?
I am basing it off of the master(my) country's price. The lesser nations usually follow suit.
I kneel
All good games. Dragon Quest.
I enjoyed DQ11 but damn Judgment and Lost Judgment are some of the best RGG has to offer. Judgment arguably has the best RGG story, Lost Judgment has the best combat of any RGG game. Lost Judgment's story is a bit of a slow burn but the final act is the best thing RGG has ever written.
Judgment having DLC near the same price as the actual game kills my urge to buy it. Shame.
I got SoP on sale and I'm pretty disappointed. Nioh and 2 are so much better. Combat is just mashing X or (if they're just completely immune to standard hitstun) mashing Y. Its not methodical combat like in Nioh where I'd know
>Human guy here will lose all stamina in one XXY combo with tonfa, so I can cancel into R1-Flurry to double status him and stunlock to death
Its
>Just do whatever lol, half your moves will be ignored and halfstunlock everything to death
Its so fricking easy too. Hardest mode it lets me play, died once ever, right near the start. It doesn't feel like a game that can be made hard in any fun or fair way with how poorly balanced it is.
Maps are boring and absurdly linear, story is just everyone wanking off Jack while he forgets to have a personality to react with, party members but they barely have any customization and have to unlock jobs 1 at a time when the story says so, if you play anyone but Jack your animations get turned to shit, no npc in blacksmith shop at all, no context for most sidequests, etc etc
It feels like they didn't even try, at all, with anything but the combat and the combat isn't even good. Even the classes are boring. You unlock like 2 attacks and maybe 1 special per class then its all just passives.
The way skills are equipped being like
X>Y
XX>Y
etc and the lack of any dodge offset is absurdly limiting too.
I'd rec Nioh or 2 over this easily.
Literally all SoP does better is magic.
Different weapons have their special skills mapped to different input combos and have different abilities, but yeah, stranger of paradise is much more of an RPG than an action game. The comparisons to nioh really aren't that apt at all, outside of the fact that they share a developer and use a similar camera and gear system they really have almost nothing in common.
SOP apparently turns into a Diablo 3 rift style game in the postgame with absolutely enormous build variety and depth, however. There is probably more to it than what you are currently seeing, but it might not be what you were expecting or something you will enjoy.
DLC is to Lost Judgment. Yeah it is overpriced, the price now is what it should be when its not on sale. However, I very much enjoyed it and both games + dlc is definitely worth the $70 for the bundle.
Was interested in steel rising
Looked it up to see more about it

Welp nevermind

Saiyans would not last 2 seconds against the vodyani.
How's the Ninja Gaiden Collection? I've heard that the games are ballbustingly hard, is it true?
Also, what's the difference between Sigma 1 and 2?
Get Mechabellum you dumb c**ts its so fricking good
>mech
Sounds coo-
>early access
Nevermind, I'll keep waiting for AC6.
One day you will understand.
No I understand enough. The last early access game I bought was MAV, a Chromehounds ripoff that never got anywhere and the devs REFUSED to give me a refund despite me meeting the requirements. They of course ran off with the money and the project has long been can'd.
Frick early access. Not doing it again.
Mechabellum could have shipped months ago. Its balanced and has no bugs.
Well rec it again when it fricking SHIPS.
No, just buy it now. It's better than whatever you're playing.
No, I think not. Now FRICK OFF.
You know I'm right, why can't you just admit it.
Mechabellum is going to be the biggest game, you're just to dumb to see it.
I will.
Looks decent but I never take advice from frogposters so I'm going to have to Hide it like I'm about to Hide you.

Utawarerumono
Someone sell me on stranger in paradise. I enjoy fromsoft, had an alright time with nioh but didn't finish. Think I found the level designs kinda dull.
Now that it's a couple of years old, what do you guys think about age of empires iv? Does it offer much over the AOEII remake apart from modern graphics?
Anything similar to Slay the Spire that doesn't lean too hard into deckbuilding autism? Roguelikes are kinda neat but there's something that has really hooked me with Slay the Spire in particular.
Indies' Lies is like a more casual Slay the Spire, you don't have to worry about deckbuilding too much in that.
>want a space game
>endless space 2 is apparently fricking broken and full of fricking bugs and has been ignored by the devs

will these 2 be enjoyable ? gameplay wise.
Pass on FFXV.
I also do not care for FFXV.
I'm a sick freak who actually likes FFXV and I would not recommend spending actual money on it

No you're not, you're on here. I've seen this song and dance before. You're going to tell us the game before you leave, you wouldn't've brought it up if you weren't going to.

post it and ill buy
Ok..... it's called "Forspoken", you may have heard of it?
I would argue you are not a shill if its a game you developed and openly admit its yours. Post it before thread dies.
Does wartales have controller support?
It looks kino
how is harry potter legacy?
Fun. If it’s on sale it’s a no brainer
can you reduce or remove gay shit with mods?
you can't remove the entire game so no, what would posess you to buy an open world slop harry potter game
underage female witches
they are quite cute e-girls
i know for a fact there are mods to fix the troony and other stuff, change the voice pitch
they're british so they look like they are in their 30s by the time they 12
Good thing the first years are eleven!
I played most of it and the only obvious gay shit is the troony innkeeper. You can mod her out or play another language beside English and it will sound like an actual girl instead of an “it”. But if you like the Harry Potter franchise then yeah it’s fun.

>Prey
>Darks Souls Remastered
>Sekiro
Did I make the right choice?
I feel Dark Souls 1 is still too high and will likely get a better sale come Winter. Is fine other than that.
Has it ever been lower? I've gotten tired of waithing and just pulled the trigger. I haven't played it since I was a console gay and have been getting a massive itch to experience that magic again. No Fromsoft game has ever come close to the exploration and comfyness DS1. For me, anyways.
No but DS2 and 3 usually get better sales in winter, I'm just assuming DS1 will follow suit. I love DS1 too but I feel like the current sale price should just be the base price.
Make sure to get Mooncrash for Prey. Incredibly underrated.
I did. I got the Deluxe edition with all the DLC.
>Persona martial arts

I saw this in the hidden gems thread. Is this game fully translated? Or is it just year 1?
after hours of staring i have landed on this, r8 m8s
start over unironically
South Park is goood. Good value too.
Based on this cart I think you know what you want better than we do.
I'd say go for it if it's what you want and you're going to play the games.
I feel like I can't be bothered to pick anything up on the sales anymore as I already have a backlog I'm struggling to get through. By the time I could get through it the next sale will have rolled around.
Is Wasteland 3 worth it?
It's pretty good
r8, h8, appreci8
Not listed: No More Heroes, Battlebit Remastered, Gal Guardians, Mortal Kombat 9 (from G2A),
I only have Aliens on there because I'm spending money anyways so I might as well get some cards from it
streets of rogue is great with bros. went in blind as doctor, got raped to death by a cannibal who was hiding in the bushes. 10/10
Does anybody know if Rain World is worth it? It's 60% off at the moment. I don't like super difficult games, so if it's gonna give me a headache trying to play it, I'm not interested. It's main draw to me seems to be the ecosystem simulation stuff.
It’s hard. But slug cats are cute. I was playing with a friend and she was hard carrying me the whole time. I could barely do the advanced jumps.
I wouldn't necessarily call it super difficult, it's just that it's very unforgiving and it doesn't pull punches with the whole simulation element. There will be a lot of objectively unfair deaths in your playthrough but if you're able to accept that you're not at the top of the food chain and sometimes the predators are just going to be better than you / luckier than you then it's no big deal. Most of the really hyped-up difficulty is just learning the controls and being patient enough to get through a few of the trickier sections that are the most hostile to the creature you're playing as. With that being said, it's 100% worth it.
Only buy it if you're willing to spend a lot of time on it.
Wartales supports co-op, you split your party members in half with your friend. It supports a lot of people
>Touhou Shoujo Tale of Beautiful Memories
Is it good?
If you remotely liked SMRPG and you like seeing the Touhous I'd definitely pick it up, extremely solid game. Character artist really liked drawing massive boobs though. Not a hentai game!
Should I get Mortal Kombat 11 and Soul Calibur VI? I'm not very good at fighting games. I already spend all my time trying to git gud at Tekken 7. I think adding more fighting games is just going to dilute my focus.
Sounds like you answered your own question.
r8 h8 love :3
Drop Remember me and Tiny Tina. Mediocre trash.
i want a looter shooter tho :c
and boderlands settings is unappealing to me
Its fricking shit. I warned you.
any looter shooter recs?
Buy Roboquest and thank me later.
If you want something kind of similar to ECHO's aesthetic, check out NaissanceE.
roboquest looks fun thanks
ye I know about naissanceE im a huge blame fan :3
ECHO, as much as I like it, is not worth more than $12.
With that being said, you might not actually be able to find it for that cheap in the future since the studio collapsed and nobody really cares about it so idk if the publisher will even bother putting it on a deeper sale.
I see I see thank you anon :3
I would love to try out tiny Tina, but it is so fricking expensive even during a sale. And it's most likely a case of buy the complete edition or don't bother.
anything here worth ignoring?
is tactics ogre on sale?
Yes
Should I get EDF 5?
Yes and if you have friends to play with Very Yes.
>Total War Warhammer 3
>40% discount
Should I? I played a ton of WH1 and WH2 and didn't bought WH3 because I heard it was buggy as shit. Is it decent now?
Not really. They haven’t improved the campaign AI or the sieges at all
It's smoothed out a lot since launch. The realms of chaos campaign is not very replayable but immortal empires is pretty good.
>bought an 'eck from the sale
>now feel bad spending more on games
Should I just say frick it and buy a few 50% off grabs or can the deck play ill-gotten games just fine
it can play them fine. But can your soul and conscious bear such a burden?
I already own most of them on other platforms, so I've judged myself NOT guilty
You can lie to yourself. But you will never escape the gaze of GOD.
You can definitely just pirate or play emulators on it if you want.
For me getting a deck actually made me take a second look at some of the games that were already in my Steam library. Some things are just nicer with that form factor.
I'd just think of a couple smaller things you'd be interested in playing on it when it arrives. There's plenty to do with it regardless and you'll probably have a better idea what games you'd like for it next sale.
Thank you for the recommendations

Ninja Gaiden Collection, Wo Long, or Nioh 2?
Personally, Nioh 2 is the best of those with NG in a very close second, but that's down to taste. Essentially, the rating is like
Nioh 2 >= NG >>>>>> Wo Long
What's wrong with Wo Long?
Shit port and it's mechanically inferior to Nioh, as well as less replayable.
>AC Odyssey
It's the first and only AC Reboot game that I'm interested in. Not sure why Valhalla is a downgrade is so many ways, plus a lot of people seem very skeptical of Mirage.
>Tyranny (you read this as troony didn't you)
Loved PoE 1. Want more PoE1. PoE2 is not like PoE1. Simple as.
I also purchased and quickly refunded Wartales earlier today. I watched the Mortismal review and it seemed like everything I wanted in a game (basically an Anglo-Saxon evil bastard simulator) but good lord is it slow. I'll keep an open mind since it's still in EA and hopefully they can speed the pace of the early game up by 200% or something.
do you need ubishit third party software to play the latest AC games?
Yes, but I already play Division 2 so I had the Ubislop launcher for years. You basically forget it's there because you can boot games directly from Start and it doesn't even bring up the launcher.
>that better be the Gold version, Anon.
Of courshe
Tyranny is pretty cool (that better be the Gold version, Anon.)
One of the few games where you've got a silly amount of freedom and the game actually puts in some effort towards having the world react to what you do.
Hell, kill all your potential party members and solo the game if you want, then kill literally everyone you meet, too.
Either of the spiderman games worth getting?
worse combat than the batman games only buy the first one if you're really into spiderman games
Is the swinging fun at least?
its the best part of the game
Thanks, I'll pick it up later then.
it is, I enjoyed the game overall, the main missions were fun enough minus the mary jane and miles ones.
how do you not gotten gta5 for free by now

Can I skip the first three Trails into SC and jump right into the rest of the series? The first three Trails don't look like they have interesting waifus.

Both p4 and p5 is good. But p4 has an absolute slog of an early game. P5 pacing is much better imo
Slog is an over-exaggeration, it's mainly cutscenes which are still fun to watch. Considering the amount of movie games out there today, it's not a big deal. 4 is still better though especially for newcomers.
Already refunded like five games. Frick indie games are trash.
Which ones to avoid?
Forgot to ask if you knew any more like that. Sonic Adventure is probably the best game in my list since it actually comes from the actual era.
Are the Crysis games worth getting?
1 and warhead are on gog-games and you should get them for free there because frick EA
2 is kinda shit but I got it for like $5 years ago and for that price it's fine
I've heard 3 is better than 2 but I never played it.
What do I trim down?
bpm is a mediocre game and the rhythm gimmick doesn't add much
HL: Source is mediocre and the original Half-Life, if you somehow don't have it is better.
BPM is very mediocre as well.
Stop playing Grim Dawn and buy Chronicon instead.
>overgrowth in 2023
lol, lmao even
Also yeah BPM sucks but there's a sequel thing they made that's apparently better. I'm just not a fan of the concept overall.
HL: Source is shit and abandonware, do not ever buy it under any circumstances if you can already play HL1. If you want a modernized HL1 just play Black Mesa
BPM is shit, but Metal Hellsinger instead
Which one should I get? Or definitely not get?
Pathfinders for 12$??
That’s easily a 100+hr playthru and it has a ton of replayability
First Torchlight is way too simplistic and not worth it unless you want to get into the genre and it's your first game.
What are some games if I like games like GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2, I like charging into NPCs and watching them flail around, I want to frick around with NPCs, any recommendations?
Sleeping Dogs
Played it already, probably should have mentioned that
This game looks fricking hilarious, don't usually play roguelites but I'll try this one out. 'ppreciate this anon
Not that guy, but Street of Rogue is one of the best games I've ever played. I genuinely put in about 200 hours unlocking absolutely everything and getting every achievement because it's just so fun once it clicks. It's like Deus Ex Lite mixed with a crazy top down brawler. Words really don't do it justice, the sheer variety is insane, you can win without killing a single person or be a genocidal maniac and they're both viable.
Streets of Rogue, that entire game is basically formalizing fricking around with NPCS
Any good xcom-likes?
You know it
I like Mainframe Defenders a lot but it's more like OG X-COM than new XCOM
Are Ubisoft and EA still forcing the use of their terrible steam clones on steam games?
Spent way too much, but here are some smaller games I want to shill:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/542050/Forgotton_Anne/
>Puzzle-adventure reminiscent of Studio Ghibli. A mix of Another World-esque platforming (minus the fatal trial and error gameplay), puzzle-solving, and moral choices
https://store.steampowered.com/app/488730/Gods_Trigger/
>Hotline Miami with co-op and customizable abilities, great level variety
https://store.steampowered.com/app/720350/Mundaun/
>Unique horror game, I hesitate to call it survival horror, though there are a few similar elements. Enemies aren't that threatening because it's possible to finish the game without killing, but the story and atmosphere are still standouts
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1170060/Boomerang_X/
>Short pseudo-arena shooter, fantastic level variety and style
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1885750/Betrayal_At_Club_Low/
>Simple skill-check RPG with a surreal premise, multiple endings. The developer's other walking sims are recommended too because the world is connected
https://store.steampowered.com/app/274350/Dropsy/
>The developer is known for Hypnospace Outlaw, but this older game is great if you like point-and-click adventures
Does Anno's launcher failures really make it a pain to play? It sounds like a game I'd like, but going all-in on a game that takes an hour to launch would piss me off.
Wat gaem to play
Battlebit.
Final Fantasy XIII
I mostly play retro games so I only look for open world games and metroidvanias to play on PC. Any good open world games under $20 I can get? Mostly ubisoft games.
