Play Scarlet Nexus
Are you only recommending it because of pretty anime girls? How is the gameplay etc
I was highlighting a funny moment, the gameplay is you + 3 Ai party members in an action game where you as the MC (there's two) use psychokinesis to throw anything you can to the enemy while each party member's power can be shared
A youtube video can explain things just by displaying but the gig is that you need levels to acquire stuff that gives you moment moves and more "mana"
As a final note, pick Yuito first for the story
I like it, though it's pretty basic action rpg stuff. You have your standard light and heavy buttons and they can be chained together in simple ways for combos. Since the MCs use psychokinesis they can throw objects in the environment at enemies, which can be chained between combo attacks if the item is light enough, like a street light or vending machine. Your AI companions have various abilities that are useful and some enemies are weak to, like some enemies are weak to electricity so you can break a water barrel and use the lightning guys ability. AI companion abilities are called the SAS system and you can boost power, length, up time, and availability by bonding with the characters.
I also really like the story. It has it's standard anime jokey moments but it's otherwise keeps a relatively serious tone. I can't say I dislike any of the characters too much.
no
i rather play code vein.
Is Tiny Tina's complete edition worth it now that it is discounted?
no, it's legit fricking trash. get bl2 if you want a bl itch. if you already have bl2 get bl3.
That game is so fricking bad my friend who simps for blands games Uninstalled it within 15 minutes. The constant dogshit jokes that the average millennial made game has is moronic.
the funny thing is the jokes were shit in BL2 too yet for some reason zoomers will unironically shill that just because they were 5 when it came out
Don't really care for the story. I'm in for the gameplay.
Played BL1/2 to death and BL3 had some weird crashes last time I tried it.
the humor was shit in 2 but it got way worse
The game itself is fun, but Borderlands as a whole is the epitome of "with friends". Don't think I'd ever play one solo personally. About 5h in with my friend group and it's the same shit you'd expect from bl2 and bl3
Alright, guess I'll have to wait a bit longer then. My friends simply dropped BL for what ever reason a long time ago, and we used to have good sessions with 2 back then. But today they are all overwatch addicts who don't even seem to have a good time with the game ever, lol.
My condolences. OW is fricking trash
>want another atmospheric exploration game like death stranding
>everythings fricking trash
Let me introduce you.
Thanks anon. Never heard of this and just bought it

Why do zoomers do this
Instead of googling they ask dumbass questions like this for others to give them answers
Because they are literally boomer-tier apes with IT.
>Why do zoomers do this
Most don't know how to do IT related stuff since they grew up with smartphones and tablets, where the systems and apps are made for braindead people, they almost never had to troubleshoot something.
When you give a kid a smartphone and a tablet, and never give them a Desktop and teach them how to use the internet to search for things they would like to see or answers to their questions that is what you see. Trust me in I.T you get calls from these types everyday. Especially those who do not know what a emulator is or a rom and think those have virus's and are bad lol.
Thoughts on Front Mission 1st Remake?
I bought lobotomy corporation and I'm not sure I get it. My employees just randomly seem to die and there's no explanation for it. I'll see a monster with a high succees rate on insight, I'll send a guy in there with insight, and sometimes he'll live other times he'll die. Not sure if I like this kind of game design.
each monster has its gimmicks all the info and read it homie.

Nitroplus Blasterz
>everything I'm somewhat interested in is still too expensive for me to jump on it.
Post them. I'll buy you one if there's a good game in there.
Honestly buy someone else something. I'm not even remotely strapped for cash I'm just israeli as frick.
Not that other anon but for me personally, I wanted Octopath Traveler II and since it's been almost 6 months since release, I was hoping it would be half off instead of just 25% off. Same thing with Jack's game (Stranger of Paradise). Square seems super stingy lately
This shit and companies thinking a PC port of a years old game somehow warrants full price has really been chapping my ass.
Isn’t it cheaper in the bundle? With the lifestyle game
Yeah, actually (very stupidly I guess) it's a couple bucks cheaper. Still not half off but it's funny that they give you a freebie game for buying that bundle with Various Daylife in it.
Still shoeing love for Huntdown. It's 4 bucks and really good.

Oy vey this is anudda shoah! My lamp is literary shaking.
I'm going to vouch (shill) for Ubisoft just a tiny bit more.
Like I said with my last post,
the games I have purchased through Ubisoft don't even interact with the launcher.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a solid B-Tier game when you turn off all HUD elements and treat it like a tacsim shooter. I've never even played the game the original way, but after seeing videos of people playing the realism mode, I knew it would scratch that chokepoint shooter itch that I've had for ages. I've done maybe 4 story missions in all of my time played, and instead I've been trying to solo every base in the game.
The game obviously has it's flaws and I wouldn't even recommend it if you were gonna play it normally but if you want to larp as Wagner or some shit then you'll have a blast. The modding scene is also really helping turn the game into even more of a tacsim shooter.
I would only shill breakpoint if you've already played wildlands and want more. The gameplay is basically the same but wildlands has more of a personality.
Thanks I'll check it out
Is Kingsway any good?
Yeah and it's 2 dollars you can't go wrong
Is there any sense in picking up the Trails in the Sky trilogy if I only pick up the first one?
No.
But if you are wondering about sales chances are you will finish it when a new one comes out
Also make sure to mod in the voices
Shit, guess I'll pick up a different anime game then until the next sale since I only have $30 and I keep seeing people talking about the series all the time.
Its ok, they are long as frick anyway
And I would only recommend playing the first 3
You got a suggestion for an anime game then?
Depends on what you like/have already played.
Is EDF5 fun by urself?
4.1 has much better mission design.
Any useful programs, especially for gamedev, e.g. sprite editors, texturing, mapping, etc?
I got Blood West. It's decent enough if you're looking for something similar to Stalker, except has some serious balance issues. Like using firearms is not fun at all, especially because sneak melee attacks annihilate almost everything in one hit. Also, the inventory system is pretty limiting, considering how much loot you get. Nevertheless, the game is worth it. Now I there was some weird West mod for RDR2.
This is $4, which is a steal. I thought this game was great although frustrating at times
Recommend me anime games

Disgaea is a series very fun tactical rpgs. You can also grind forever for unreasonably large numbers if you feel like it.
Danganronpa Trilogy(easy recommend)
Persona 4 Golden(start out on this if you are going into the Persona series)
Katamari Reroll 1 + 2 Royal Reverie(Get on sale)
Senran Kagura Estival, Shinovi, Burst Re:Newal.
I bought valve complete pack to have ALL OF THE TEXTURES in gm
Anything I should drop?
Lunacid is early access and not finished, just wait. Also, drop Prey. Awful game.
drop NitW
NitW is literal tumblr garbage, also the devs drove one of their own to suicide over a false rape accusation by zoe quinn
Might as well drop signalis and prey and just do a month of xgp?
drop lunacid as the other anon said it's not even done and nobody knows if the troon making it will 41% before completing it
the rest of the games look solid although i don't think signalis or pentiment are big enough sales but that's up to you, the games themselves are great
Drop Furryhomosexualry in the woods and Pentiment. I think the former's dev is dead anyways, so why pay the publisher?
Don't drop Prey, it's one of the best games of the last decade.
Also if I remember correctly the price of Lunacid will double when it comes out of early access so it may not be a good idea to wait. Just be sure it's your kind of game.
I don't know if the game is good but know that it is irrationally hated here for schizo reasons. That's the dev of Lost in Vivo, you know the game will be at least ok.
Forgot to add that Signalis is just the type of game best played in late autumn or winter, so you might want to wait for another sale to get it, and there's a chance it will be cheaper by then.
Only the first one and maybe the third, if you have someone to play it with. 2 is absolute dogshit, and a short ghost sex scene doesn't redeem it. 3 is the worst if you've no one to play it with, but it's okay as a coop FPS.
god, hypnospace outlaw is so fricking comfy
>check to see what it is
>as soon as I've typed hypn steam is recommending hypnosis pornime

I remember the 90s internet fondly and love it when creators pander to my nostalgia but I'm not even certain that what I'm reading describes a game. Help me out here, anon.
You're a hynospace enforcer (internet janny) that works to protect (censor) users. you navigate through it like old fashioned internet and you end up uncovering some wild shit about the hypnospace itself.
i dorked out about it because of the old internet feel, and the customization is fun too.
Remember shitty Power tripping forum mods? You basically play as one of those guys but for an entire internet platform meanwhile the webzones you moderate are full of 90's/early childhood internet nostalgia ranging from pokemon esque brand advertising to edgy teenage angst all while you do so on an nostalgic looking OS that you can even download those silly old digital pets that hover around your desktop. Its pretty funny and captures the era pretty decently you do a little sleuthing with in-game mechanics etc.etc.
If you do get it be sure to shake your mouse to make webpages load faster.
Drop most of those games, then add the DLC for Golden Idol.
The Night in the Woods guy killed himself. And the people who made him do it will get the money instead.
Based!!! Gaslight, gatekeeper, girlboss.
stupid moid
>The Night in the Woods guy killed himself.
It was the guy who did the music, I think. Not the actual dev. Probably figured there was no way out after his own sister turned on him too. Pretty vile shit.
Ah it was the composer. Still, all those people who made that game and are now making the sequel despite how they treated him with no good evidence shouldn't receive any money.
Alec was an actual programmer and game developer who co-developed and composed music for NitW and has developed several of his own games. He was the guy who actually did the work.
Prey's brilliant, ignore the contrarian.
YOU TAKE THE HOT BUTTER
MIX IT WITH THE ICE CREAM
Prey is overrated and nowhere near as good as the original, just a shitty watered down system shock clone. And it was free on gog a few days ago, you missed it.
Signalis is gay weeb shit
I tried reading this book once. Everyone was a boring homosexual, a overly stoic mary sue boring homosexual, or an obnoxious homosexual you'd want to punch in the face. Except raistlin who was a gigachad, even if he was a prototypical ebin meme character before the archtype existed.
drop night in the woods. tumblr garbage.
your best purchase here is Signalis
If you have twitch/amazon prime you can get prey for "free".
I'd drop lunacid, never buy ea games. Ever
I just bought Skyrim and am done with the summer sale.
Ok Todd
Is there anything worth grabbing specifically to play on a steam deck? I was given one recently by my spouse. Was thinking maybe an RPG or something. Something I can play in different spots around the house throughout the day. While I'm waiting on dinner to finish cooking, waiting on laundry or laying in bed or watching stuff.
If You've never played them the Half-Minute Hero Games are good fun. Go to the Half-Minute Hero: The Second Coming page though it has a bundle to get both games for 10 bucks.
Even though its not on sale its a good value imo.
I can really only afford one + mainframe def but might make an exception for troubleshooters. I've played like 90% of pyre and loved it but didnt actually beat it. Thoughts?
you can drop cloudpunk. setting is intersting but the main gameplay is basically just a walking sim
commentary and further recommendations requested
I'm aiming to spend around $100 pretax
I've legitimately never heard of a single one of these games. Are they in a niche genre?
uuuuuh I don't think any two of them are the same genre
Aeterna Noctis and Crystal Project both have the metroidvania tag but they don't appear to be anything alike gameplay-wise.
I want crystal project too but it needs a bigger sale.
Are the F.E.A.R games worth it?
Only the first game and its expansion packs are good, though the second game might interest you if you're interested in ghost sex. The third is absolute trash.
the first two sure, def not the third one
First Is Pure Kino Gameplay
Second is decent
The Third we dont talk about
The third is what you play with a friend to laugh at how bad it is
Which Tower Defense games would you guys recommend? I already own
>Sanctum 1
>Super Sanctum TD
>Defense Grid: The Awakening
>Gensokyo Defenders
>X-Morph: Defense
>Dungeon Warfare 1 & 2
>Orcs Must Die 1
>Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate
>Anomaly 1
Might like Mindustry.
Super Sanctum TD is fun
My fav other td's:
Deathtrap
Kingdom Rush series
Alien Shooter TD
Is Ready or Not fun in singleplayer?
Maybe with a few more updates
It shines in multi/coop though I will say if your matching with randoms it'll be hard to get a good lobby, Not necessarily that the players are bad in any sense but half the playerbase wants to play MGSV Opening Simulator where you execute literally anything that moves (which IS good fun tbf) and the other half want to play it more or less as intended and from there you have your usual sstruggle of then finding a competent enough lobby.
Decent fun but it's most fun when you have friends to communicate with and who can pull their weight instead of the meatshield bots.
What I got
>vermintide 2
my homie hope you enjoy it
thanks anon, looking forward to play it, my friends have started the Warhammer fantasy tabletop rpg so I thought I'd give it a try since the setting is really cool .
Rat Clicker 2 was literally free for the taking some time ago.
Homeworld is great. Comfy space game.
Is Soul Hacker 2 really as bad as people say it is for a JRPG?
Play it on gamepass
It's alright but there are better games out there.
It's not horrible really. It's just mediocre which is a good thing considering TMS was awful and slowly paced of the previous effort.
My recommendation for this sale: Monster Sanctuary
I already have like 15 hours since i bought and its really fun. Pokemon, 3homies in a row and metroidvania, the only thing i didnt like is that doesnt have many evolutions for the monsters u control
Fear and Hunger + 2
Y/N?
Just get the first one first to see if you're fine with the kind of ridiculously punishing gameplay it has. The sale just started so if you play right away, you should be able to play enough to know if you want the second game too.
Hell nah. It’s europoor jank slop.
Is Solar Ash good or is it just Journey but in space?
the game is really beautiful but the gameplay itself is not great, it's just speedrunning shit and bad combat
i'd still say get it if you think the aesthetics will carry the game
Is this worth getting without DLC?
bumping cause i actually bought this without DLC and trying to figure out the same thing.
I played it on gamepass, which I dont think has DLC, and thought it was a blast. It was my first real paradox game though so I might not know what I dont know. But it definitely didnt feel incomplete or anything
thanks anon.
It is, but I'd recommend getting it with DLC.
Cart so far. Not sure if I'll actually pick anything up, though.
if you're buying trails in the sky, buy SC as well, they complement each other, they're both enjoyable jrpg if you enjoy the oldschool feeling of them
recommending Supraland
it's cozy and fun first-person metroidvania
Is Scarlet Nexus worth picking up? Looking for a fun action game, don't get to play that much vidya these days and will be getting a few days off soon so I'm looking to grind something. Thoughts?
I never played Scarlet Nexus but if it's anything like Namco's Tales games the story will be so garbage it might turn you off from it altogether. Why not just play the Ys games instead if you haven't? Ys 8 and 9 are both great.
Its a mediocre souls clone
Yes as long as you look at it like a AA title and not a AAA one you will be happy. It's good soul food especially if you like some action aspects of Nier Automata and DMC.
He is talking about Scarlet Nexus not Code Vein which was pretty bad and slow despite having a great world and a character creator. It's like Freedom Wars but none of the faster aspects of it.
There's no such fricking thing as a "AA title," you fricking moron. A "triple A" game isn't called that because it has more A's than other games. They're not fricking Michelin stars.
nta but calm down. AA/AAA shit just refers to the level of production value and polish.
AAA refers to the level of production value and polish. "AA" is not a fricking thing.
The term has been in use forever though so idk what you're autistic problem is.
>"AA" is not a fricking thing.
My collection of AA games begs to differ.
I reckon "AAA" comes from security credit ratings, where AAA is the highest, and means that you are virtually guaranteed to get your interest and principal back. So, in the game market, you are virtually guaranteed to get your money's worth. The second highest rating is, in fact, "AA". So, no, you fricking autistic moron. kys
lol it is dude. It's a commonly used term in the Gaming Industry to help people understand the status of gaming companies. I swear you are one of those types that thinks every game needs to sell 5 million otherwise the company is going to crash or burn or something without realizing what budgets and profits are.
You have autism.
Are you fricking dumb?
AAA- Big name studios and production values
AA-Midrange Studios and Production values
A/Indie-Low end studios and low production values. Or a small group of people making a game.
>tfw nobody makes games in the genres you're interested in
Which genere?
Any single-player adventure suggestions, like Subnautica and Outer Wilds
Uhh Volcano Princess is no good and drop Dave the Diver
Only heard good things about Northern Journey
SOMA might be up your alley.
Which should I get, and which shouldn't I?
Torchlight is good, if a bit unbalanced. Don't expect to play it for very long since it's just focused on the one dungeon with a final boss at the bottom. There is a postgame infinite dungeon but you'll probably be bored of your character by then.
i really liked sudeki when i was a kid, idk if it holds up. type o was incredibly mid. the artsyle is great but functionally it’s still only good for a psp game. imo try the psp version first to see if you even like it
Sacred is bretty gud but a bit older
FFType-0 pc port is subpar so take that in mind
anything else I should add?
>Fatum Betula
You sure you want a game made by a guy who interacts with trannies on his Twitter?
have a nice day troon
Not a troon. I hate troons. I’m just a troll and you took the bait moron!!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1249480/ExZodiac/
Ex Zodiac for 8$
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1285020/Flipon/
Flip On if you like Panel De Pon/Tetris Attack(2$ is a steal)
>Ex Zodiac
It's pretty great but it should be known that the game is still only early access and only has like 4 levels finished. That's a pretty reasonable deal breaker for many.
8 levels, and also 8 bonus levels. Plus it's on sale. No need to be a buzzkill.
As someone who enjoys those PS1 style horror games. Fatum Betula was pretty damn disappointing.
Main enjoyment comes from exploring, but getting to endings resets you to the start. It gets tedious trying to explore because it's tied to the various endings and what combination of potion you decide to run around with. The endings themselves aren't particularly special either.
I think I bought well
You did anon
What are some good western fantasy action rpg that are relatively short (compared to 100s of hours) and not open-world?
Like Witcher 1-2, Dark Messiah, VtmB, Gothic games and Game of Thrones by Cyanide.
Was thinking about checking out The Dwarves but reviews are not great.
Are Risen games good?
Mass effect/Dragon Age games?
Fable is open world but I think you can skip most of it
Greedfall maybe??
Seven: Enhanced Edition was pretty good, I got 51 hours out of it and it's only $6 right now.
Fable I guess?
Nothing else in my library hits all your criteria.
>Seven: Enhanced Edition was pretty good
I loved that game, but it's definitely more of a stealth game than an action RPG.
Fair, but I would argue it can be both. I never skipped a fight by stealthing out of it, I would stealth in and out of combat to improve my odds and enhance my enjoyment of it. Also it looked like you build to forgo stealth entirely if you wanted to, but I never tried that playstyle.
>Hi-fi Rush
>Signalis
>Deedlit in Wonder Labryinth
>Neon White
>Sakuna
>Bug Fables
>Library of Ruina
>Code Vein
>Wasteland 3
Any of these worth scooping up, or alternatively should be dumped from my wishlist?
Bro half of that list is trash.
which half
These are all decent depending on what you like to play or what you want to play at the moment. We need more info man.
I heard that Wasteland 3 is utter shit. The rest are ok
What are games that give me the feeling of pic related?
Smash Ultimate being in that picture is moronic. Nier Automata and Xenoblade Chronicles X are also a stretch
https://store.steampowered.com/app/966330/Flower/
mario if he unreal
What's the top left and the one above ffxv?
top left is tales of berseria. Don't know the other one.
The one above FFXV is Edge of Eternity
https://store.steampowered.com/app/269190/Edge_Of_Eternity/
Oh I played that for like 1 hour and refunded it. Game is doo doo.
Gedonia
Is that one good?
It feels almost like you're playing some kind of runescape spinoff rpg. It's fun in that way.
Ys VIII
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2139300/Redemption_Reapers/
Definitely would recommend this game on a sale. It's worth it if you like Fire Emblem games which funny enough is by former Fire Emblem staff and the writer is the one from MGS2. The only reason why it's mixed in reviews is because you need to use your head and actually think before moving at points and people felt it was not worth full price but definitely on sale.
I want a game with nice looking females, some fan service and costume changes, anything like that released in the last few years ?
I do not know anon. But i could say Senran Kagura if you have not played it or if you are interested in Emulation Hot Shots Tennis Get A Grip for PSP.
>Senran Kagura
I've only played the first one, any other worth it ?
Yes! Shinovi Versus, Estival Versus and Burst Re:Newal should be on your list completely. Those 3 games are worth your time if you liked anyone of them.
Signalis, unironically
Meant for
as well
Can someone buy me kenshi? i've been waiting for it to be on sale for a while but i'm broke now T_T
https://store.steampowered.com/wishlist/id/JohnfromTenessee/#sort=discount
Can anyone recommend some nostalgic, depressing, melancholic, sad or just plain miserable games?
I've been trying to replicate the feelings SOMA left in me since last steam sale and so far i found nothing.
Stop trying to be depressed anon.
Never, I'm chasing those misery feelings because is the only thing that makes me feel something
Give Outer Wilds a try.
Just listen to some Nine Inch Nails or something.
If you already have Shyrim, install Enderal. It's pure misery porn.
Pathologic HD + 2
The Void
LISA
Signalis (kinda weeby)
Fear & Hunger 1/2
Inside + Limbo pack is dirt cheap if you like puzzle platformers
To the Moon. As a game, it's actually kind of shit, but it genuinely has one of the best stories in video games. The fact that I'll readily admit it's a shit game, but still recommend it anyway should say something. It's like if Charlie Kaufman wrote a video game.
>just plain miserable
Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy
If you like point and click adventure games the first four Blackwell games are very atmospheric. I think I end up shilling these every steam sale. If you like slow games with poor gameplay Sunless Seas has that mood (I haven't played Skies yet).
Oneshot
Planetarian
Please recommend me some indie cyberpunk games bros.
the ascent is the best cyberpunk world ive ever seen. absolute kino
EYE: Divine Cybermancy. It's pure jank but it's also ridiculously fun.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/746850/Cloudpunk/
Cyberpunk Delivery.
R8
Dex
Neon Chrome
Satellite Reign
Brigador I guess counts, it's a great game regardless
Binary Domain isn't indie, but it's great, same with Ghostrunner
Thanks bro. I like Dex and Binary Domain
Vampyr is really fun until you get to the insane bosses that are like 100000x harder than anything else in the game.
Phantom Doctrine is also fantastic. Its really slow at times which made me lose focus, and gets really hard at times for no reason, but it creates tension and stress more than any other game in the genre save for xcom IMO. Its just really slow paced.
I really enjoyed Weird West, but it's not for everyone. Really wish they did more of the "immersive sim" stuff, since all you can really do is climb in through the chimney of a shop and steal their shit. Also, don't play Phantom Doctrine like you would X-COM, or you'll have a bad time. And get silencers and agents with the ability to blend in as soon as you can.
What a fun cart. Don't listen to the haters PoP 2008 is an amazing game, the story and interactions between the Prince and Elika are still some of my favorites in vidya to this day. I also liked Forgotten Sands a lot, underrated game minus the repetitive hack n slash combat, the platforming is top notch. Not much to say about the original trilogy that hasn't already been said, classics. Also if you don't mind me asking, why Dark? vampire itch?
Not him but how are the PC ports of those older PoP games?
Need to do any tweaking or do they work out of the box?
I don't remember having technical issues when I played Sands of Time a few years ago but I eventually just emulated them using Dolphin so I could use my controller + it looked nicer.
PoP 2008 worked out of the box without any issues
I see, thank you. I will just do the same then.
>why Dark? Vampire itch?
Ye, been feeling the vampire mood lately, just replayed the Lords of Shadow Castlevania games and Blood&Wine which started it. Most likely gonna replay VtMB soon too.
Dark is one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Please, save yourself.
Play Momodora.
I think I'm set. I'm not getting Ys 9 yet since the entire thing is still too expensive.
I always wonder if Grandia is one of these old games that still worth playing
Recommend me a game to buy as a gift to a friend
He plays a lot of World of Tanks
Max 25€
gunner heat pc I think is just under that
if he plays a ton of world of tanks why not gift him like premo currency in that game
He is trying to save his friend
Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries
Big stompy robots that drive like tanks.
I'll recommend Seven: Enhanced Edition to you as well.
Also Ruiner, and any of the Shadowrun games from Harebrained Schemes.
Can't decide if I should get Persona 5 Royal or Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.
Other 4 homies in a row game suggestions are also welcome.
ff12 is good, Chained Echoes had some positive coverage a few months ago, no idea how it is.
Honest thoughts on sonic frontiers and if it's worth the sale price?
It's fricking garbage. No I haven't played it I only saw the first trailer. Empty open world, re-used animations. Shit gameplay. And many more problems. Wait until it's 5 dollars max
It's interesting to me that Valve completely ceased to do any side content for sales. There is nothing for this sale, not even shitty point shop. I remember them doing shit like a clicker game for one of previous summer sales.
The mascot race was last summer, right? You're right, it is weird that Valve didn't do anything this year. Did they have an "event" for this past Christmas sale?
Nah, previous one was probably some riddles shit.
I miss them too. After the shitshow that was The Grand Prix in 2019, I think they are afraid of doing another event again. SOMEONE will find a way to exploit it and frick over others. Remember the $5 coupon duplication trick?
Fricking hell, that was 2019? I could have sworn it was last year. I don't remember the coupon duplication trick; was that the same Christmas event with the coal that Russians fricked up for everyone?
r8 my purchase
minion masters and little racers street i had in my inventory, and in finally assigned it to my account
Should I buy Persona 5 Royal? I know I'd enjoy it, and the price is fair but I just don't know if I have the time. Recently I've been stressing about my "backlog" and starting a 100 hour game kind of gives me anxiety even if it'd be really fun, how do you working people deal with this. Even worse because Armored Core and Baldur's Gate are coming soon too.
Only get it if you will be playing it in a few months, if not wait for Winter sale. It's not like Persona 5 Royal is going anywhere and Persona 6 will be released anytime soon.
If I buy it I'd probably start playing it TODAY.
do it
Well if you are going to play it and have 2 weeks to spare do it. It's on the highest sell it's ever been.
I never really have two weeks to spare but maybe I can beat it before august (0% chance, it'll probably take me the full year)
PSA if you're going to recommend any game you need to post an image a video and a QRD and only 1 at a time. Nobody wants to read your wall of shitty games and do the footwork you should've done if you wanted people interested in your stupid shit. Frick you
What are some simple games with nice loot? Ideally not roguelikes I kind of want my shit to stick around.
What game should I get if I want the definitive vampire survivor like game ? out of the swarm, which are the bests ?

those 3 look the best, in the mean time, I will try hall of torment and Striving for Light
Feels to me that at this point Sekiro (rest of the souls game too) need to go cheaper
Recommend me Call of Duty games since I've never played one before and wonder where all the hype for the series came from?
>wonder where all the hype for the series came from
Did you just get here from 2008?
I never had the chance to play them before so that's why I'm asking.
It's pretty crucial to start playing them after school when you are 12-14. the campaigns have jumped the shark multiple times a game for quite some time, the multiplayer is barely populated except for the newest ones.
it's just the most accessible FPS game out there. No tactics involved whatsoever, that's why it's so popular. It's only played by kids and normies. I used to play COD 1,2,MW1 and MW2 and then I grew up and I stopped playing them.
Hmm, alright in that case what FPS games would you suggest I play then?
I guess I'll try them out.
I'm done with milsim in general and multiplayer shooters are just full of toxic toddlers, I'm too old for that shit nowadays.
Titanfall 2 has a good single player and great multiplayer if you are willing to download a mod.
Battlebit has the same kind of energy that CoD did. You can also play the new TDM mode in Valorant. Different energy but it's free and pretty fast paced.
COD has been dead for years, the only thing that has kept it alive is normalgays and kids.
All the hype came from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) all the way to Black Ops 2, but those games' multiplayers are riddled with hackers, especially on PC. Only play these old cods for their singleplayer content (which is just 8 hour campaigns and zombies).
MW2 multiplayer was shit. I stopped playing after like 30 hours while I had hundreds in MW1. I don't understand how everyone forgot how steaming mad we all were that there were no custom servers. 50 player mayhem in MW1 was the shit.
Black ops 3 and Infinite warfare
1, 2, Black Ops 1, and World At War. Maybe Black Ops 2.
Bought these. For years I've been looking for a comfy space exploration game. Fighting is okay as long as its optional. Just wanna fly around and see new planets and shit. Is No Mans Sky really my only option?
Ganker is gonna cry about Deathloop but it's an enjoyable time, the PvP is very tense at times too. If you really want to get a good time out of it turn off objective markers, more immersive and makes you have to pay attention
Ganker can suck my nuts, bunch of triggered /misc/tards mad that the main character is black no doubt. It was 15 bucks and I like player single player games so why not.
Enjoy my friend, the soundtrack kicks ass and the main characters have real personality
I'm 2 hours in, not really convinced yet honestly. The stealth is choppy at best, these dumbasses walk right up to me and still need 5 seconds to see me.
>he actually bought it
Oh no no no no pffftttt
You got memed bro
Tbh the stealth is a little busted as you mentioned, going head on might just be the move, the game doesn't restrict you for doing so like Dishonored. Stick with it a little longer and take your time checking out some of optional stuff, I liked it overall
It seemed like the right tactic considering the numbers and turrets and stuff in the Library. I walked around for 10 minutes looking for a stealthy way to take them out then I just started shooting and all of them were dead in 10 seconds.
Almost like people hate the game because it's mediocre trash that got high reviews because it featured black characters. You'll have to admit /misc/ is right yet again. : )
/misc/ is always wrong. Delusional paranoid scared morons.
>he says seething about how they're always right.
Kek refund the trash game and you admit /misc/ is right, don't refund and you wasted your money. The leftypol autist's conundrum
X4 foundations might be what you're looking for.
It's basically a space capitalism simulator where you start as a hobo with fighter and build up to an economic powerhouse with an empire of space stations and entire fleets of warships, traders, and miners under your control, any of which you can pilot any time you want. You can't explore planets, but you can walk around on any station and you just get out of your ship and frick around in a spacesuit if you want.
You will almost certainly have to fight early on before you have subordinates to do the fighting for you, but if you're clever and lucky you can other factions to defend you by leading hostiles to their ships and stations, or just acquiesce to pirates and drop your cargo. And the AI isn't great at combat, so later in the game if it's important to you that something gets dead fast you'll probably be better off doing it yourself. But mostly avoiding combat is certainly an option and you'll definitely spend most of your time doing other stuff even if you go looking for fights.
So base X4 good or do you need DLC to make it so?
Base game can keep you busy for hundreds of hours, but Cradle of Humanity and Split Vendetta are both really good. Maybe not essential but it's certainly debatable.
I was very meh on Tides of Avarice, but there is content there worth exploring if you really get into it.
Kingdom's End just came out a month or two ago and I haven't played it yet, but it looks excellent.
I'll note as well that there's a robust modding community and Egosoft has a good relationship with them, so there's a good amount of high quality free content out there too.
meant for
Thanks anon, I think I'll pick it up.
Cool, I hope you like it.
Something I wish I knew my first 15ish hours playing: you'll get a mission early on that instructs you to do something like "scan a signal leak". I recommend you do it early, it leads into a questline that unlocks some content and QoL features. It isn't signposted as prominently as it could be and is easy to ignore with all the info coming your way as you learn the game systems.
Recommend me any games to play on my steam dick
>Dead Rising
>REmake
>Valkyria Chronicles
>Fight n' Rage
>Darkwood
>Gurumin
>Knights of The Old Republic 2
>Red Faction Guerilla
>Umihara Kawase
All games I have had installed on mine that ran and played very well.
>Fight n' Rage
no shit that game runs on a phone, it better run on a fricking steam deck
sexo power
sexo kobeni
Should I buy this?
Get the DLC and O2 as well. The sequel relies more on the shock factor compared to O1, but it's a pretty fun ride nonetheless.
I have read plenty of bad reviews about outlast 2.
The game is not without its flaws, but like I said, I find it pretty fun. Especially because its scenery is really diverse: some redneck villages, mines, forests, cornfields, rivers and creeks, churches.
It doesn't handle its pacing too good, however, what with the constant hallucinations of the MC's school. Plus it reaches and surpasses the Cannibal Holocaust levels of edgy cringe: burnt babies, crucified people, shit pits; and the RELIGION BAD message is repeated too frequently.
Once again, if you don't take the game too seriously, it has its moments. The chases are intense, sneaking around and hiding in barrels only to get pulled out by your collar really makes your heart jump. It's like O1 but more in this regard.
Yes, Outlast is genuinly a great game
I didn't like it. It's fine if you like that Haunted House kinda game, where it's all about the set pieces and things shouting at you, but I got really bored playing it.
You have so little to do in the game, so little choice in how to deal with enemies, so little to do between enemies. You can run and hide, that's pretty much it. No distracting enemies, no locking doors, no luring them into fighting each other, no stunning them, no nothing. Amnesia had deeper gameplay than this.
But there are some neat moments and characters. If you don't mind the simplistic gameplay you'll probably enjoy it.
Any good 3D platformers on sale? Been looking to get into one lately.
cant go wrong with Spyro or Crash
>remake
yeah theres that as well

I picked those up last sale. they were fun though.
My haul (60$)

What's a game that's good for $5?
SYNTHETIK
Kino isometric roguelite shooter
While I commend you for your impeccable taste, I have already had both Synthetik titles for forever now.
Momodora
I don't like the artstyle
Sissy
>Muh pixel shit with heckin' cute girlos!!!
Go back.
Bayonetta
No.
Yes.
Scavenger SV-4
Is Pizza Tower worth buying?
do you like going fast?
yeah
what do you mean?
>what do you mean?
It. Is. Meme. Garbage.
what "memes" does it have? how is it garbage?
It's a "meme" that it's even popular in the first place.
If you like 2D platformers and going fast as frick it's an easy recommend.
Good replay value if you're willing to chase after P ranks for achievements too.
sick. I've been replaying Sonic games lately
>It's platforming Ultrakill
What does that even mean? I never played that game
>all the way down to its obnoxious fanbase
why should I care? this is a singleplayer game
true
No. Its meme trash.
It's platforming Ultrakill, all the way down to its obnoxious fanbase.
Make of that, what you will.
Don't listen to homosexuals like this
who hate things because of the fanbase rather than the game itself.
Yes, but the game is popular so the contrarians on this board will tell you no.
whats good game for my mom? she is low iq, doesnt speak english and plays hayday on mobile (a predatory farmville like shit game). stardew valley seems like the obvious one. i will set up a pc for her
vampire survivors
sims 3
katamari damacy
I am thinking of pulling the trigger, thoughts?
Persona 5 was my first persona game and one of my first jrpgs, as weird as it is, i ended up really enjoying it. its repetitive and grindy but everytime i was going to quit because it was too boring it moved on.
P5R is good, Scarlet Nexus not worth it at that price. It's going for $10 on other stores and it's a mediocre game imo.
Any cool chinese rpgs?
Planning to buy Command and conquer collection on steam, are you forced to pay for an EA play subscription if you wanna play online?do tou need EA launcher to play online?
It's the best Diablo game since 20 years and only costs 4 €
looks like a vampire survivors type game
what's it got to do with diablo?
Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Digital Deluxe Edition worth it at $16.65?
It's a great game if you like older JRPGs and random encounters don't make you want to un-alive
Yes. It's worth it. If you like Nocturne would definitely recommend the rest of the main series.
Yes. I paid twice that for it and didn't regret it.
I've played Myst and Riven, but never bothered with the rest of the series. are any of them worth playing?
Bought TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children, DOOM, Control Ultimate Edition, Tactics Ogre: Reborn, DEATHLOOP, Bloons TD 6, Dark Deity and am planning on adding Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition to the list.
It's been a decade since I bought so many games in a single steam sale.
I'm thinking about getting Disgaea 5 Complete but I see a review about missing content making me reconsider.
I think only the online features were left out.
Are they a big part of the game?
I never got to try those features but they seem to mainly be about creating and sharing maps. I don't think it's a big deal, the main campaign alone is like 50 hours long, then there's the post game which supposedly is over a hundred hours long.
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Disgaea_5_Complete
According to the wiki it's missing online shit
Rate my cart Gankerros
Anything I should remove?
Never played against the storm but the other games are great
Against the storm is amazing
>Amazing Cultivation Simulator
I hope your autism is nigh crippling, because that's pretty much the level of autistic you'd have to be to enjoy that shit.
I played Rimworld and I enjoyed it, I didn't find it that autistic (but maybe I lack self-awareness)
Isn't Cultivation Sim just chinese Rimworld?
Its Daoist Rimworld. Watch the Sseth video about it to decide whether it's your kind of thing. I guarantee that its faaaaar more autistic than what you're probably used to.
Should I play Stranger of Paradise on hard? I just played up to this first boss on "action" and it felt too easy
nice ‘sale’
there’s fricking nothing to buy
all senran kagura are 70% off. buy them now its a steal.
They're trash. I got tricked into buying shinovi versus. I like the characters but the actual games are garbage dynasty warriors clones.
Agreed! That is fully worth it!
The only one I enjoyed was Peach Beach Splash, because it was essentially some kind of Vanquish - Unreal Tournament mix with breasts. The story and characters are shit though, and for a fanservice game there's not nearly enough sexual content. In fact there isn't any.
>No summer event
The pixel art scene is nice and comfy, 10/10 there, but I miss the days of moronic cookie clicker knock offs and even the sticker album thing they did once.
I'm not going to be buying anything anyway, why not make the even enjoyable for those of us who already have what we want?
what do you guys recommend based on my fave list and I might buy it next sale
>serious sam
>sakuna
I got you
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1057640/Onirism/
very cute and funny, anon
fricking loved Jack's game and played the shit out of it for free since uncle timmy already bought all of us a copy
I kneel
Toukiden and FF strange of paradise
how's Hero Must Die, again?
I'm on the fence about pretty much everything in the cart minus dark messiah and chaos theory. Any opinions?
Axiom Verge is a lot of fun
anyone played Aliens Fireteam Elite? How is it?
I finished Dark Descent and still got the itch, but I'm not too keen on playing with randos online and I have no friends.
Should I buy the Prince of Persia collection?
It's just $9.5
what are some smol games (less than 1gb or so) under 5 bucks
The Treehouse Man
Solid gameplay, good soundtrack, and an artstyle that is inexplicably expressive despite being monochromatic pixel art. 6-10 hours. $1, or get it with the sountrack for less than $2.
Devil Spire is a cool dungeon crawler.
>standalone Devil May Cry 3 special edition isn't on sale
hunt showdown? would you recommend this? im leaning towards no, because friends wont play it with me
It's a good game, but playing solo kind of restricts you to the shittier modes
You could always play with randoms
Is Outer Wilds DLC good? I've only played the base game.
Very good
Very good. More linear than the base game, but the puzzles and storytelling are better.
Is Bannerlord good?
I played Warband for 25 hours and then I dropped it, it didn't hook me that much, so I kinda fear I'll have the same experience with Bannerlord. Does it feel different enough to justify trying it if I wasn't a big fan of the first one?
I have like a couple hundred hours on it but I don’t know how tbh. I just roleplay as a trader or a merc get a big ass sword and cleave. Or I get my ghengis khan on and horsemen all day
>Is Bannerlord good?
It fricking better be, I'd hate to find out I've spent 700 hours of my life on a shit game.
/mbg/ says it's shit but half of them have played it more than I have
bannerlord is probably my favorite game and I never played warband
Same shit, different graphics, the game is overhyped in this site for some reason, you do the same boring gameplay loop for dozens of hours.
Wtf is this shit? I own none of the games I'm about to buy
Show cart
You have a game in your cart that is also included in a separate bundle that is also in your cart, dumbass.
It was Hard Reset Redux and Hard Reset Extended edition. I removed Extended edition and it ended up working. Which is weird, because they are not the same game...
>They aren't the same game
Yes, they are. moron.
I read online that Hard Reset Redux has different enemy placement. Doesn't that make it different? Why are both on Steam if I can't own both of them?
>Different enemy placement
>Makes it an entirely different game
Did you even read what you just wrote? Are you moronic?
You're not that smart are you?
It's the SAME GAME you DENSE MOTHERFRICKER.
iirc if you buy one you automatically get the other one.
You are correct. I just checked my library. That clears it up.
Well anon, it seems like I found a glitch in the matrix. I own the exact same Steam game twice c:
anything under 10 euros I could milk a decent amount of hours from?
Slay the Spire
Hollow Knight
Rain World
Into the Breach
Dragon's Dogma.
Worms Armageddon is also like 2 bucks right now.
Bloons
Phantom Brigade Y/N?
>Mostly negative
Gee, I dunno anon..

Jokes aside you're in for a good time, 2 filters pseudo-intellectuals on Ganker who ape out at pop culture references
So I payed 90% of my purchase with my wallet, and only like 5 euro of it with paypal, but the money in my wallet didn't disappear... did I luck out? Lmao
Gabe is coming to collect tonight.
Yeah it only looked like it. A shame
I don't feel like buying anything at all, everything available is just so bland and boring. What's wrong with me.
Depression or burnout. Go do something else for a bit and come back to gaming later
Any puzzle games I should know about? I'm a big zachtronics fan
Have you played Baba is You?
Yeah, baba was great
Do I need all the DLC if I want to play X4?
What do I buy?
No westslop, no remake/remasterslop, only actual video games.
You want the emulation thread, not the steam store thread.
>btfos nothing good in the sale gays
Nothing personal kid
Woops pic related. It's kino
>wanna buy some games
>but bank requires confirming most online transactions via their app (but not their actual banking app, a SEPARATE app)
>but also they're moronic Black person apes and their app doesn't fricking work for a lot of users (myself included)
>wanna set up paypal instead
>can't because bank doesn't trust them either and requires confirmation (which I can't do)
If it wasn't saturday I would have switched my bank already.
This fricking app craze is a crime worse than holobunga.
I kinda get it, it's a way to do 2fa for online purchases because something like banking really needs that. But a) maintain your fricking apps if you're a financial institution and b) they should probably offer an alternative for people who don't want to use smartphones, something like those old OTP generators they used to give out
Recommendations for singleplayer games welcome.
Games I like:
>Hitman Blood Money
>Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
>FEAR
>Deus Ex
>No One Lives Forever
>Fallout New Vegas
I am looking for good single-player FPS experiences.
NO ELECTRONIC ARTS. Thank you and I appreciate it in advance.
Unironically Cruelty Squad, even moreso if you also like Mario 64
I have unironically been really interested in it but got worried when Ganker really liked it, I will give it a shot. Thanks.
You may not "get" it at first. Save up money to buy the grappling hook and it'll start to make sense.
Any multiplayer game that works great with a controller? anything coop or a MOBA even?
>MOBA
theres only lol, smite or dota lol
You can play Dota with a controller? Must be a pain in the ass.
what i mean is: the MOBA scenary is fricking dead bc no one have balls to compete against lol, dota or smite, they are the only games alive, theres nothing new coming out
>Any multiplayer game that works great with a controller?
But if u want multiplayer games to play with controller, try FFXIV (mmorpg) and rocket league, everything they do is with a controler in mind first, dead by daylight too, FPS games like COD, Fortnite etc
rec. some GOOD co-op games i can sink many hours into, already have
>L4D
>Ratclick
>DRG
>Payday
Zombie Army.
>GOOD
Darktide in a few years.
Is chrono trigger any good or should I just emulate snes?
>chrono trigger any good
Best JRPG imo. Steam version has some extra cutscenes during story moments but other than that it's the same as the original release
alright, rate my steam haul (plus tetris effect: connected) for this summer
You're a Black person
>Celeste
Hello, troony.
>Just NOW getting Half-Life
How do you people have Steam but not have Half-Life until now?
Shallow and pedantic
I wanna grab Ostranauts but I'd like to hear some opinions about it if anyone here plays it
What's good for the Deck, specifically? Something pick-up-and-play, arcade-like, short comfy sessions on my corner sofa while my wife is watching her shitty Netflix bullshit.
I got 62 bucks, how man I doing so far?
Does Recettear hold up?
It does.
>hold up?
it's not for you
Is Atelier Ryza (or the Atelier series as a whole) actually fun or is it just anime fapbait?
It's shit coombait ok if you like crafting or comfy anime games
Not much fapbait, but it's comfy tier.
wat do?
Drop Pizza Tower
Drop Dorfort
Drop Judgment until you've played through that Yakuza series, because otherwise you're just inflating your backlog for no good reason. Judgment will be on sale in the future.
Yakuza will too, but you might as well do that now.
Drop Riceuna: Rice and Rice.
drop pizza and autist fortress
drop judgment collection for this same reason
pick yakuza 6 and 7 instead, you can also play yakuza 7 bc theres no major spoilers imo
i would also drop chained echoes and wait for a better discount, yakuza alone will give hundred of hours
wrong tag lmao, i meant this reason

Got Metro Exodus and Sunbreak.
Two major timesinks, see ya back on the christmas sale.
What are the best homies in a row games on sale? Hidden gems are appreciated
Worth it? Do they run well these days?
Yeah, totally worth it, got them on the last sale myself.
first one is great
What was the last game you lost yourself in and were truly immersed^tm?
My most recent game like this was kindom come deliverance. I will upvote any recommendations. Thank you
Unmetal. It was hilarious and fun.
Last time I got really immersed was the last time I replayed RDR2, I put 200 hours into it.
A replay of dragons dogma, for a new game probably darkest dungeon 2
>What was the last game you lost yourself in and were truly immersed^tm?
Outer Wilds
Any good fighting games for people whose brains can't process fast enough to be autistically good at fighting games?
the new guilty gear, everyone in the FGC agrees is the easiest and most braindead game
theres a turn based fighting game my autistic friend was talking to me about but I tuned out his beta voice automatically so I don't know the name sorry
SIFU if you want a singleplayer one. Strive if you want multiplayer
Thanks for reminding me, picked up some smaller things:
- Civ 6 expansions (for 2 fricking euros, wth)
- Rain World
- Deep Rock Galactic
And figured I might aswell buy FF XIV
>None of the FF pixel remakes are on sale
Did square forget about them? They put everything else on sale.
i was also looking to buy them, frick square enix
got Tactics Ogre reborn, fricking square enix got my money anyway

You made a better purchase.
how's gtfo? it's got that payday fella on the soundtrack so it's interested me. still a bit steep for me to blindly purchase
shill me a fricking game right now
Dragon's Dogma, it's the best game ever made.
How does Dragon's Dogma make you feel when playing it?
it's the only game i've played that captures that 'adventure' feel.
beware it's a very love or hate kinda game.
Exactly the feeling im looking for right now. I'll get it, thanks
Vermintide 2
cheap left 4 dead clone with soul in spades also this
Dave the diver is fricking shit why are people raving about it?
Have you played it?
yeah I harpooned a few fish and knifed a sea urchin.
I will receive my ultrawide oled display next week, what game should I get to test it well ? I was thinking doom eternal
Got Sonic Adventure and downloaded SADXbetter
What's the SA2 version of this?
There really isn't one for SA2 because the gamecube version the Steam version was on looked almost identical to the Dreamcast version. The GC/Steam versions have worse lighting than the Dreamcast version. Here is a mod that restores it: https://gamebanana.com/mods/14737
Any modern games not filled with esg?
