Well, I pulled the trigger and bought all 3. Maybe this will give me the push I need to finish Patho 1. Should I use a guide? I loved the atmosphere when I tried it but the time limit was a bit stressful.
Devil_Slayer__Raksasi - Action Roguelite
Top-down camera (like Hotline Miami), stamina-based combat. Attacks doesn't drain stamina, only dodging and running. You will only have stamina for 2 dodges for the majority of runs, and the iframes are fairly short, definitely not a dodge spam type of game. 7 Chapters (7th can't be accessed early on), at least 3 different bosses per chapter (but you only fight 1 per run). 7 characters with its unique spell and passives. 7 base-type weapons with a few variant versions. Difficulty system that makes things harder like being invaded by your own clone (items included), thunderbolts on the screen and 50% increased number of rooms on a chapter, among others. Demonic difficulty is intended for late game when you have unlocked a fair share of meta progression stuff.
Roboquest - FPS, "roguelite" (somewhat tacked on, feels more like a standard game as there is little randomization on the maps)
About 50 guns that takes inspiration from all sorts of game, beam laser, chainsaw, flamethrower, boxing gloves, kunai, bow, sticky bombs and probably a few more, not to mention the standard stuff. Game has 6 chapters, with the first 3 having different pathings, some of them having fun gimmicks that aren't exactly standard FPS gameplay but that you probably will just visit it once or twice. Last 3 chapters are fixed maps. Great gunplay, great mobility that ressembles Ultrakill in some aspects, with grappling hook, triple jump, goomba stomp, jetpack (all unlockables). Enemies are all projectiles, with only 2 being hitscans that charges before shooting (easy to see). Respectable roster of regular enemies, okay roster of bosses. 6 playable robots (classes). Item upgrades are pretty small increments and really safe, you can't really become OP through it. Leveling upgrades are still safe, but less so, allows you for different playstyles. Has 2 players coop. 20 to 30 hours until most people will get bored of it.

(Correction on the review: There are 11 characters with free DLC 1, 12 with paid DLC 2. There is PvP. Not mentioned but worthy of note, there is no permadeath mode)
Dragon's Dogma.
It'll either be your new favorite game or you'll be baffled that anybody could like it but it's definitely its own thing and fits your criteria plus only a few bucks. Then if you do like it the sequel's only a few months out.
Fair enough, I love it but you can feel its troubled development throughout. DD2's biggest pull is getting all the ideas DD had in a fully completed and iterated game.
Probably just Slay the Spire without Backpack Hero and EDF5.
The only other one's I've played are Stardew Valley which bored me to tears and Zomboid which is trial and error shit that gets outshined by 20 year old free roguelikes.
EDF5 and SV are probably the best on the list if you have a friend or two to play them with you, otherwise you will be forced to play with randos in the first one and might get bored eventually with the second one.
Wait on Stardew Valley for 2 days, usually the "dev" drops keys for the game every Christmas. Loads of them so you might be able to get one. Would wait for the 1.6 update before playing it which is suppose to come out soon.
For how cheap it is right now I'd say probably, but it's nowhere near essential. If you haven't played Reassembly before I'd spend like a half hour playing it and then figure out if you want more, and if you do then get the DLC.
tbh this game was one of my favorites of the year. I consider myself a low to mid level star wars fan. there is minor jank but I don't really agree with any of the major complaints about it. my biggest beef was some bug that prevented a questline from happening
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on Zed Zone but it's somewhat pricey and I'm not 100% sure I'll like it. And nobody seems to know anything about it to recommend or shit on it.
UnderRail is a great but it's a VERY hard rpg, prepare for min/maxing and number crunching or getting filtered hard.
But if you are into that stuff it's really solid.
As far as I remember, no there is no respec, it's very oldschool and hardcore in that regard.
Playing without a guide is possible but starting out might not be if you don't know what you are doing, you really have to come up with a great build from the start of the game or you might just not be able to finish it so it's advised to look up some builds that work.
Sounds like the dev is either a moron or a homosexual. Too bad I bought it a month ago and there are no takesy backsies, Black folk that do shit game design to pretend to be oldschool should be raped to death.
Superhot is not really a puzzle game. Superliminal is short, but fun. Witness is frustrating at some parts. Manifold is confusing unless you really like nonequlidian shit. Not saying you shouldnt buy them, just be warned. Talos 1 is not too bad for a "beginner"
Get Portal 1 and 2 and Antichamber. Might want to check out Infra later. The Room series is a nice warm up for the harder puzzle games. There are non-fps puzzle games too. You interested?
I completely forgot that Portal and Portal 2 are puzzle games. >There are non-fps puzzle games too. You interested?
You can name them, but I'm gonna give my wallet a break after buying these ones.
Probably a strange question but how's the PvP in Civilization VI? I've never really played much 4X stuff and never in multiplayer but the idea of it in a game like Civ sounds really fun. I'm assuming if I grab it I should stick to the base game since all the reviews for the DLC are total shit.
It's hard to find good looter style RPGs that aren't the same ones over a decade old, like Diablo or Borderlands. I was thinking of giving that a try as well.
I got this for free and even as a big fan of beatem ups and character action games that shit was possibly most boring game ive ever played and keep in mind I completed Gotham Knights with 3 characters for example. Imagine if nu God Of War was designed by toddlers and made with 10 dollar budget and everything went into graphics that are shiny like dogs nuts all the time.
This game is only one step above Babylon's Fall and that's mostly on the armor sets looking cool than anything. For reference Babylon's Fall is by far the worst thing Platinum has ever made, at least twice as bad as their next-worst game.
Maybe my expectations for BF were too high but I hated it much more than Godfall in the handful of hours I gave each (thankfully not spending money on either). It's also obvious that somebody up top at either Square or Platinum told the team to just rip off MHWorld's progression down to a hub on the doc, a quest board, 4-player max party size, and a period after a completed quest to run around that in MH is meant for carving but in BF serves no real purpose.
I agree that Godfall when it comes to everything thats not core combat is better than Babylons Fall which shows it was babys first attempt at online/GaaS game but thats saying like big ass turd is better than diarrhea lol.
I was thinking of getting Dominions 5 because it's finally an acceptable price but now I see that Dominions 6 is coming out in 3 weeks and knowing these games 5 is going to be completely outdated seeing as each "game" is a glorified update.
How is Conquest of Elysium 5 instead? From what I'm seeing it's more suitable for single player and doesn't look like it's going to become obsolete within a month.
CoE and Dominions are extremely different gameplay wise, so if you're interested in Dominions gameplay you're better off waiting for 6. If you don't mind playing something a little more like HoMM, CoE 5 is the best of the bunch and as far as I know, 6 is not very close to release.
>How is Conquest of Elysium 5 instead? From what I'm seeing it's more suitable for single player and doesn't look like it's going to become obsolete within a month.
You got that right. Dominions is basically gimped if you intend to play it in SP since AI can't really make use of all the features. CoE is the better alternative unless MP is your thing.
Not really playable but "Monster Girls and the Mysterious Adventure" 1 and 2 are both really good mystery dungeon games where you can have cute catgirls in your party.
Help me please!
What do you think my cart? I removed Days Gone and Horizon and added the Marvel game and Dragon's Dogma. It was a good swap?
And what do you think about Aliens: Dark Descent?
>I'm skeptical of simulator games
what? they are simulator games anon, you want to fly? drive a truck? clean a house? build a house? people play them to relax and to have fun
>I removed Days Gone and Horizon and added the Marvel game and Dragon's Dogma. It was a good swap?
I'd say so. Dragon's Dogma is a great game and GotG can scratch the AAA-adjacent linear shooter itch with more creativity than anything Sony's been putting out. Darksiders Genesis is also an enjoyable time solo or co-op that doesn't overstay its welcome, plus it has Dis in it.
like day z proper? no, it's closer to a ubisoft game (but not in a bad way) there's outposts, zombie nests, zombie caves stuffed with zombies and massive horde clearing activities
>haha i tricked you into... giving advice and recommendations!! you earnest fool!! serves you right for helping fellow anons
i will never understand what goes through the minds of people that post those bait fake carts
Dead Cells, while competent in execution, feels nowhere near worth its absurd price. The core of the game is pretty short, and the "replayability" comes from NG+ which is the same game with maybe a new enemy or a few per layer of NG+. And it's not side content for autists either, beating more layers of NG+ is the meat of the game. It got repetetive for me already by the time I beat +2, and there are EIGHT layers of that shite.
Progression is done by finding a recipe and grinding metacurrency to unlock it, only to realize that it's shit and lock it down from ever spawning because it's a "build" game and you want to be able to pick the weapons for your build. Recipes are found rarely by doing some exciting secret gimmick in a map or, more commonly, by randomly getting it as a drop from an enemy, which depending on what you're looking for you might have to grind for relentlessly.
Maybe if it was like 5 bucks, 10 with DLCs, I'd begrusgingly recommend it, but I can't fathom paying all that money for this little content.
Factorio is the ideal example of "tap the autistic audience". Niche can support a game just fine. Hell, didn't Dwarf Fortress creator(s) become a millionaire recently?
they're dumb nerds worshipping this game because it gives "purpose" to their shitty lives
they're spending thousands of hours alone rotting on their computer but the idea of autistically optimizing their bases gives them a false sense of accomplishment to act like they're epic engineers that work for free and don't actually do anything irl
factorio's target audience is subhuman autists. No sane person is gonna get into it. Dev figured this out and is exploiting it. And to add insult to injury, the fricking morons defend it.
As others have pointed out, the dev's pricing strategy is based on exploiting autists who are made uncomfortable by the notion that people will at some point be able to purchase the game for less than they did.
Joke's on him though; my particular autism means I cannot spend money on a game that has ever been cheaper in the past, and therefore I will never purchase it.
Rogue Trader is too buggy atm wait for the definitive edition.

Dawn of War 1 is good. My favorite DoW1 is Dark Crusade.
Dawn of War it is then. The only reason i listed Gladius over it is because i already got it on timmy's store for free.
It was free on steam as well at some point. Yoinked it myself. But ye, getting all the DoW1 games is a good idea. Very intuitive RPGs that don't get too far into 40k's loregaygorry, but still get far enough to give you an idea of what it's like. + it is ancient, so Game Workshop hasn't shitten up the setting yet at that time.

I just put everything that caught my eye on sale into my cart, give me reasons to keep them in rather than remove them, since I don't need to spend any more money to add to my backlog. Basically, tell me what's actually worth getting/playing now.
Omnia is a kusoge. I wish it was good,it's not, but I love it nonetheless. Wish it was more popular and I wish it had rollback.
Sol cresta is a hit or miss, there are better shmups out there
I do enjoy a kusoge from time to time but if there's no good way to play online I'll drop it. Only really had my eye on it from a couple combos and pic related appealing to my fetish. I liked the Sol Cresta demo but that shit's been too expensive forever, even now well over a year out the $18 price tag seems high when you realize that doesn't include DLC. Removed both.
I love Ria, she plays nice. But yeah, if you don't mind using discord to get matches then I would say go for it.
I can pray that someday it will have a proper community.
About Sol Cresta, yeah, the game is really expensive. Played the demo but wasn't really that convinced
As much as I hate to say it, The Ascent sucks. It's a very pretty game but that's the literal only thing it has going for it.
I'm mostly looking for stuff for my steam deck. Any suggestions?

I still wonder if Inscryption is worth it. It was shit on release because that good game you played a demo for gets ditched a third of the way through for inferior placeholder card games and a whole lot of homosexual metanarrative. Someone told me it got some kind of free DLC that makes it worth it but I can't for the lifw of me get anyone to fricking tell me about it.

Don't get Forspoken. That game isn't even worth pirating let alone buying. Not a big fan of the LE version of Mass Effect, or their shitty launcher but for $6 that is quite a deal.
but she's so fricking hot. must have it at this price, it's a steal
You don't have to buy something just because it's discounted, anon. Don't be a middle aged housewife ordering from TV sales. You can also just play the demo first.
yeah it's definetly a steal...
[...]
First, get better taste in women. Second, Mass Effect is easily worth it at that price. Geometry Dash is a fun time waster and $2 is hardly a bad asking price. Baldur's Gate 3 is Baldur's Gate 3. If you end up liking it, you'll probably get tens of hours out of it at least. But also that sale kinda frickin sucks so maybe you don't need it yet. Forspoken is obviously garbage and shouldn't be purchased for any reason.
That guy buying Forspoken with his dick is no different to when you buy trash like Senran Kagura or Gravity Rush with your dicks.

It's a shitty visual novel with braindead gameplay to break up the monotony but the gameplay is also monotonous. Only coomers grasp onto this fricking series. There's a reason it's dead.

Let's just say this selection is so repulsive I thought for a moment this was a bait image like the one that gets constantly posted with GTA 5, Fallout 4 and some other game.

Fricking hate double DRM in general. Why do I need fricking two launchers to play a game? What does EA even get out of forcing the use of their stupid shit? They already got the money from the purchase, what difference does it make?
can get death stranding+ evil within or just replicant. Barely know anything about this games, except for the comments i've read here. >Death stranding = walking sim, movie game, kojima slop >Evil within = cluncky and shit pc port >Replicant = old one was better
EW's PC port should be ok now, the only thing that was really truly awful about it were the black bars on your screen, can remove that with a mod.
Death Stranding is more like a walking sim+sandbox, the movie shit is only really at the beginning and end, the rest of the game is fat chunks of gameplay.
I like Gestalt more but if you like Nier I don't think you can go wrong with this.
I liked Death Stranding so definitely recommend it.
Evil Within is decent, but a bit janky. Sequel is an overall improvement.
Replicant I haven't played, but I've read at it feels a bit dated for an action rpg, can't comment. I enjoyed Automata though.
I have all the big C games, AHiT, Nobeta, Frogun, etc. Anything I'm missing that came out this year and is on sale? I don't like going in the thread because of the goblin creeps.
I don't know if there is genre for those games but I want something similar to Yakuza, Disaster Report, Way of the Samurai, Akiba's Trip. Some japanese kusoge with a bunch of side quests.
Yes. I played all mainline Yakuza games + Judgment. Don't want to touch Ishin yet because I heard there is a lot of grinding
Mixed bag as in bad story, bad writing, or bad mystery?
Would I be missing much?
I found cases longer and less engaging. But I only finished 2 of them (I still want to finish the game so I didn't drop it because it was bad) so I might be wrong
It's like (the equivalent) of three bucks. I want it for Solange and Umihara Kawase

Thanks! I've played it (cracked) to like Gaul, but by then I was really bored of the game, and the Gauls were tedious to fight. I still liked it a lot though
That's a shame, I liked the booba I saw. Which would you recommend? I played the Curse of the Moons, Shovel Knight, Bloodstained. I don't really have any interest in the bug one, which everyone says is the best one
NTA but you should play Ender Lilies if you haven't yet, I liked it a lot. Another good one is Astalon Tears of the Earth, which is a ittle more similar to Curse of the Moon. Another metroidvania that is not talked about much is Steamworld Dig 2, it's an amazing game all around.
Currrently have
Warriors Orochi 3
Strangers of Paradise
EDF 5
Is Xenoverse 2 any good? I played the first one on 360 back in the day and it was kind of janky but had its moments.

Well first, I still haven't gotten an answer about Inscryption and whether it was made into a real videogame or if it's still just a third of a videogame and then the rest is ARG metashit.
Second, Zed Zone interests me. I don't wanna play Zomboid because aside from pretentious devs I just hate pure zombie apocalypse, and Zed Zone seems to have mechs and mutants. But it's chinaman-made and Early Access, so I don't know.
Then there's Atom RPG + Trudograd. I know it's teeming with cringy internet references, but maybe it has good writing aside from that? And how about roleplaying? Can I kill every NPC for example?
I'm also curious about Astrox Imperium. I got about 9001 answers that it's "EvE Offline" but none of these wretched thrice accursed EvE players are ever able to tell me what it is they actually fricking DO in their games. I presume it's just a space miner game where you shoot at rocks and truck the rock bits to sell for sharper rock shooters.
I guess I'm also curious about Gloomwood. Is it a videogame right now, or is it still EAslop? And who do you play as in it, a predefined character, a custom one, or someone of completely ambiguous identity?
Lastly there's Planet Centauri. I don't think I've ever seen a Terraria-like that was truly worth its salt, and at this point not even Terraria itself is anymore, but still.
>Inscryption
I've had this wishlisted for a long time, I've not heard anyone say to not get it. >Zed Zone
I have it wishlisted but I still wouldn't trust a Chinaman with my money. I'm waiting for more concrete answers. >Atom RPG
It's janky as frick when I pirated it, I don't think it's better than the games it's taking its inspiration from. If you're thirsty in a desert, this will look like an oasis however. >Astrox Imperium
Idk, EVE is a bunch of economy management and shit, sounds like X4, which is another "offline EVE". There's also Space Bourne 2, and that's a one-man project but he's nailing everything that needs to be nailed in a space game at the moment, he just has no budget. >Gloomwood and Planet Centauri
After Lunacid, I would say keep a close eye on EAslop that you're buying from now on. Just don't buy it till it comes out or you hear someone say it's genuinely good and even then, investigate that shit.

>I've had this wishlisted for a long time, I've not heard anyone say to not get it.
I've heard plenty. From people like me who were disgusted with the ARG dogshit. I pirated it on release and beat it, and I only liked the first third/quarter of the game, with Leshy and his card game, but there wasn't enough content for that alone. Now someone gave me dubious info regarding exactly that and I can't confirm it despite how popular this thing was. >It's janky as frick when I pirated it, I don't think it's better than the games it's taking its inspiration from. If you're thirsty in a desert, this will look like an oasis however.
I'm not a CRPG fanatic, but I would indeed like a good proper RPG, with emphasis on RP. I grew out of railroaded games like Dragon Age, and haven't been able to satisfy my itch with anything but New Vegas replays ever since. >After Lunacid, I would say keep a close eye on EAslop that you're buying from now on. Just don't buy it till it comes out or you hear someone say it's genuinely good and even then, investigate that shit.
Ye I don't buy EA slop unless it already has enough content to justify its pricetag.
Lunacid did make me feel like from now on I'd have to rven go as far as to background check the fricking devs because they might rug pull in the last moment before release and thank you for the money, sucker. >Man, chill out, we have the entire thread, you made a long ass post and it's gonna take as long to frickin read through it.
It's not my first time, nobody gives advice on them even if the post is small.

Yeah idk anything about the ARG stuff, I just heard it was a horror deck builder, usually not my thing but it sounded like a banger combo. >good RPG
Arcanum is really, really, good, made by Troika. It's got problems, sure, but it should scratch that RP itch. >not my first time
Just keep trying, maybe the people you're looking for are just sleeping or are in a different thread, from what I've seen in these threads, there's a lot of poor homies just trying to play the top shelf stuff. Maybe keep an eye on hidden gems threads too, that's usually where the greybeard people lurk, we had one yesterday, but it got ruined cause someone recommended Mass Effect LE lmfao.

>Yeah idk anything about the ARG stuff, I just heard it was a horror deck builder, usually not my thing but it sounded like a banger combo.
Basically, it is a deck builder that gets sidetracked with a meta narrative and gets turned into a different much much much worse deck builder twice over the course of the game because of that meta narrative. The actual good part that you see everywhere, with the dark cabin and a table and the two eyes in the darkness, is only a fraction of Isncryption. >Arcanum is really, really, good, made by Troika. It's got problems, sure, but it should scratch that RP itch.
I'll take a look, thanks. Heard the gameplay is horrendous, hope I can handle it. >Just keep trying, maybe the people you're looking for are just sleeping or are in a different thread, from what I've seen in these threads, there's a lot of poor homies just trying to play the top shelf stuff. I do keep trying, have been since the Fall sale, just had a short lapse in resolve for a moment. I do also try to visit the hidden gem threads when I can, but no luck so far.
It is less of a DLC and more of just an update. It isnt something you buy.
"Kaycee's Mod is a free mini-expansion for Inscryption that hacks Leshy’s Cabin into an endless, and increasingly challenging, roguelike. [...] >Inscryption
its extremely difficult to talk about the game without spoiling anything but to put it in words, "Inscryption" is a game... *about* a card game, the card game being Inscryption. Does that make sense? Inscryption is *about* Inscryption, the card game. It's ostensibly a roguelite deckbuilder. whatever though, i don't have the funds to check it out right now, I'll keep deliberating on it for now >Gameplay is horrendous
Only that you can break the combat really easily, there's a spell that you can cast by mouseclick speed which almost fricked up my pointer finger cause it was the only move I used for one playthrough.
I would believe you... if I had ever seen a thread, a single one, discussing those "stellar" gravity mechanics and combat.
You're just saying that so you can "win" this argument but we know that the cute anime waifu is the only reason to bother with those games. Meanwhile I'm above that and I only play good games so I know that GR isn't worth my time even when I have a working PS4 collecting dust on my closet
>if I had ever seen a thread, a single one, discussing those "stellar" gravity mechanics and combat.
I pressed X to doubt, just now.
Ganker is Ganker, it's gonna waifugay after a certain point in the game's lifetime, especially after it died a horrible death seriously frick Sony for pulling the plug on multiplayer, if that's all it takes to stop you from trying games then I would suggest you go to a different website or board, maybe r/patientgamers will be more your speed and hopefully, serious against that waifushit that you so despise.

[...]

Man, chill out, we have the entire thread, you made a long ass post and it's gonna take as long to frickin read through it.
>Inscryption
its extremely difficult to talk about the game without spoiling anything but to put it in words, "Inscryption" is a game... *about* a card game, the card game being Inscryption. Does that make sense? Inscryption is *about* Inscryption, the card game. It's ostensibly a roguelite deckbuilder. Its not a game you play if you want to play slay the spire or some shit, its a game you play for the story and if you're a fan of trading card games

Just go ahead and spoil the frick out of it if you consider it necessary for people to understand how it plays.
A genuinely good game stands on its own regardless of plot.

I only liked Leshy's part of Inscryption. Everything else felt like garbage. But that's just a small part of the game. Someone told me there was some kind of free DLC that expanded it, but I've no idea what that lad meant cause he was acting like a Black person.
gloomwood offers plenty of content for the money, imo. i am just reaching the main city and still feel satisfied with my purchase. development is SLOW however, so don’t expect it to be finished anytime soon.
What about that protagonist question?
drop any?
My very first crew recruit in Sunless Sky was a troony. Make of that what you will. Personally I dropped it on the spot.
I think he meant that they added a DLC that allows you to just play Leshys part or something. Havent played it after I beat it

It is less of a DLC and more of just an update. It isnt something you buy.
"Kaycee's Mod is a free mini-expansion for Inscryption that hacks Leshy’s Cabin into an endless, and increasingly challenging, roguelike. Apply different skulls to your run to ascend the Challenge Levels. Reaching new levels unlocks new cards, challenges, and dev logs inscribed by the late Kaycee Hobbes as she uncovered the secrets on the disk."
"Kaycee's Mod unlocks when you beat Inscryption for the first time. It can also be accessed via a cheat code: Shift+K+M on the Start Menu screen." is what steam said
gloomwood offers plenty of content for the money, imo. i am just reaching the main city and still feel satisfied with my purchase. development is SLOW however, so don’t expect it to be finished anytime soon.
>Starbound >Overwhelmingly Positive >Tarnishing of Juxtia, a game I genuinely liked >Can't even get out of Mixed
I don't trust Steam reviews even when they're talking about the game.

If you didn't like the remake you won't like the original or System Shock 2.
Deus Ex and the System Shock games are the equivalent of Dark Souls and Nioh: they're superficially similar but at their core are very different so fans of one don't like the other.
Well, it's your money and time. Don't say I didn't warn you.

that wasn’t me replying. my issue with the remake was how goofy and cartoonish the enemy designs were. really took me out of the experience. the gameplay itself wasn’t an issue for me.

Clearly I'm not the person who needs explaining how SS2 and DX compare. But saying that there is some kind of well known schism between either DS and Nioh players, or DX and SS2 players is totally outlandish.
NTA but Chronicles writing really needs a script doctor because it reaches Kojima levels of repeating same things over and over again, it gets tiresome. Story reaches absurd levels once or twice in the games but the mysteries are pretty good. >Would I be missing much?
If you never played Ace Attorney first play trilogy to see if it's your thing because it's absolutely best games in the series and if you like them and feel like you can tolerate something on a bit worse level then consider Chronicles.
So while I have a cart I keep rummaging through, I've actually gotten a couple games via a bundle and Epic/GOG giveaways. >Humble Bundle: Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, Dark Deity, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, Nexomon: Extinction, Edge of Eternity, Mato Anomalies. >$15 instead of $56 dropped from $150. >GOG: Lost Ruins, Caveblazers. >$0 instead of $11 from $30. >Epic: Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, Melvor Idle, Art of Rally, Fallout 3 GOTY >$0 instead of $47 from $115.
So not counting price drops I've so far paid $15 for $114 current sale price from $295 current base price.
Played it at a friend's house like old times, holy frick it's got like no soul, even typing of the dead overkill was better, also cheaper for about 3 dollars on a keysite.
Literally only reason I use Epic is for free shit.
This also got me Death Stranding.
>epic >gog
uhhh sweaty this is the steam sale thread why don't you go to the epic or gog sale threa- oh
Pay attention instead of focusing on just two words, dumbass.
I'm pointing out I paid $15 for what I would've paid close to $120 on Steam right now vs just under $300 outside of the sale.
I also have a cart. Because of the other deals I feel more comfortable springing for some more costly items or sales that aren't as good as I'd like.
It's not a "keep paying or we'll take your games away" like PS+ or GamePass. You get a key and you redeem it on Steam, sir. It comes down to whether you like the games offered, but it's almost always a better deal than buying the game itself.
No one with a brain has Humble bundle. There is only garbage on there.
No one with a brain uses Humble Choice.
Bundles vary heavily but sometimes are worth it. Rarely anymore though.
Fricking BundleStars/Fanatical and itch.io have better bundles than Humble outside of the giant frickoff ones.
Midnight sun's is shallow and not really like xcom other than being turn based. There is a research system and item system, but the game is more card based. There are environmental things that you can interact to like barrels and boxes, but they don't provide cover. Instead you use them for extra damage. I only finished chapter 1 or like 3 or 4, but there just wasn't enough There to keep my attention. The battle system lacks depth and the hub area is just words words words. Character list is also a little lame.
Here are games under consideration. Please help me decide, I have loads of fotm indie stuff you probably already played this year >Dave the Diver -20% >Rain World Downpour -25% (expected better, they did 60% off for Fall) >Book of Hours -10% >Chants of Sennaar -20% >Void Stranger -15% >Bugsnax -60%
and finally, not on sale at all >Pseudoregalia >Armored Core VI >Library of Ruina
Chants of Sennaar and Rain World are both very good. Rain World plus the expansion also has a good amount of content for the price, even without a big discount
I think Bugsnax depends entirely how much you like the characters, if it doesn't click in an hour just refund it because it doesn't get more interesting
I liked Rainworld but there is no way in hell I'd be paying for Downpour even at 60% off. I'm not saying you shouldn't, but if they're willing to do 60% off - I say you should wait for 60% off. Think about it - it's just additional content for Rainworld, you really think it's worth that much to pay now instead of waiting for a bit?
>anon gifts me a game 3 years ago >adds me on steam >had fun with them >want to return the favor >feel like it would feel cringe
it's been 3 fricking years...
Gratitude is always appreciated, anon. Personally I'd respect the person for holding to that sentiment for so long, which is the reason I'm even bothering replying to your post. I don't see how it'd feel cringe, unless he strongly refuses (assuming you will ask what he wants beforehand) and you keep being pushy, in which case it'll seem like you're trying to get even with his favor, in other words pretty cringe.
Postal 4 is fricking rancid shit. And I know "hurr durr Postal is supposed to be shit" but 4 is just a fricking boring ass scam that uses a ton of unmodified unreal store assets. I genuinely had more fun playing Postal 3, because that game is at least broken in a funny way.
Part 1 of probably my final cart (I still have a huge backlog lol)
Part 2
I played Second Sight on a steam deck, if that means anything. Controls were awkward as ever but it worked.
Hatred is short even for that price, maybe just pirate it.
Marc Ecko's and Knights of the Temple are pretty good.
Evil God Korone is fricking short as hell, and Tsuginohi games are already pretty tight on content for their price.
Other than that pretty based for a 2004-2006 games enjoyer
Pulled the trigger on this last night.
Played a little of Spaceport Trading company and that's fun. Installed From Jianghu, tried that for a few minute. Reminds me kinda of a mix between Warsim and amazing cultivation simulator, so gonna give it a try.
No way in hell Soulash 2 is already good enough to be worth its money. The demo sucked ass back during Next Fest and it's EA so it's bound to have little more to offer.
Have you played it? Is it good? Does it still have shitty gay little potrait coins instead of comfy sprites?
haven't had time to play it yet. I treat EA games as 10-15% chance of getting something legitimitely good and like 40% chance of getting something that's indiejank/mildly amusing but "ok" as oppsoed to actually good.

yeah it didn't even run at a stable 60fps, basically unplayable
Why are you still posting this? I've seen you post this several times already in multiple threads. I'm wondering if you are the same guy posting the same cart in every thread in past sales just to have "fun" as a weird hobby.
>Pirate all games >Need to spend money on storage space for all of them since you have no easy way of just reinstalling games whenever you wanna play them
You're not saving money no matter what you do.
Basically: if you pirate you need to spend money on external drives and the like to store the games you downloaded, when purchased games don't have that issue (you just download them from the store's internet page when you're going to play them or they come on their own disks if they're physical) so you're still spending money one way or the other.
>Pirate all games >Need to spend money on storage space for all of them since you have no easy way of just reinstalling games whenever you wanna play them

using torrents is exactly like using digital store, the only hassle is manually disabling 14 preorder DLCs if you'd rather not spoil early game. Even if you use a tracker that checks your ratios (why though), you can seed for a bit and get rid of it.
Is Titanfall 2 worth it for singleplayer alone? Does it really need fricking piece of shit Origin to work? Can I play singleplayer without an EA account like I did Dead Space 2? I suspect "Ultimate" Edition means frick all given that there are DLCs for the same price as the game itself?
>Is Titanfall 2 worth it for singleplayer alone?
Yes, though a recent update brought the multiplayer back to life. The campaign is pretty compact but fits a lot of good ideas into it though the enemy design is just okay. Whether you want to frick around with Origin to play it is another thing entirely but I loved it.
Campaign is short but legitimately one of the best if not the best fps campaign out there. I believe it uses like an origin thin client I don't think you need a dedicated account anymore. Ultimate doesn't mean shit I think you just get a couple of titan skins.
>Campaign is short but legitimately one of the best if not the best fps campaign out there

I used to like Vesperia, then I played it again like 10 years later and hated it. The combat is so fricking bad, the story goes to complete shit halfway through and the characters I hated more than half the cast.
Berseria is among my favorite games. Combat isn't exactly top tier, dungeons are garbage, but it has the best cast of characters ever seen in a jrpg.
Play Berseria first so you can get the shitty combat out of the way first. Vesperia doesn't have bad combat as much as people like to say it does. It does, however, unfortunately take some time to actually get good. Early Vesperia combat is very simple and very dull. I generally really like the cast of Berseria more, but Vesperia's cast is fun too, even if largely carried by its protagonist. The story in Berseria is probably objectively better, especially in terms of pacing, but it's a revenge story and it has a few contrivances along the way. Vesperia's story kinda just feels more like an episodic shounen world adventure, which also makes it more lighthearted in general, so do with that what you will.

Am I missing any other old game that had/has modding communities (I already got quake, doom etc)
I'm fascinated by the format of this thing but I have zero connection to Karateka. Is it worth $15? The Atari 50th Collection is a similar format but for a whole company and also like twice as expensive so I'm waiting on that to be cheaper to touch it.
I almost want to support it just so more things can be made like it, an interactive Documentary of a classic game that has both the original and a remaster within it, but again I don't think I'd even heard of Karateka before I saw this thing announced.
Only consider P5 if you've already played Persona 3 and 4. It's a step down in many aspects and a 7/10 game for me but perhaps worth playing if you are into the franchise.
DA: Origins yay or nay?
It's been a while since I played it but it was a great game, even if it was already outdated by then.

Sure, it's pretty decent but a bit barebones isometric tactical RPG. I'd skip the first one and go right for Dragonfall, then Hong Kong, I like those two a lot, most of the characters are fun (not the deckers, never the deckers), the stories are pretty good and the music is fantastic

I haven't played it but general consensus is that it has bad writing, protagonists don't have any personality, gameplay is too easy and boring and the only good things it has is visuals and music, but that's enough to impress the critics it seems. Chained Echoes should be better.
Well shit. Do you know any similar turn-based RPGs that have been released in the last decade or so that is actually worth playing?
Try Age of Decadence. It also requires you to play your character eg. if you play as speech character you are not gonna survive any fights, but the game allows you to actually beat entire game without engaging in any fight at all. It's pretty short and it encourages you to beat it multiple times as different types of builds.

If you want classic-like games there's not much to choose but you can try Chained Echoes, 8-Bit Adventures , Doom & Destiny (Not joking. Gameplay is basic but it's very fun), Bug Fables. There's also the Square Enix classics like FFVI, Chrono Trigger or any of their modern remasters. Or you can play Dragon Quest XI, it is in essence a classic JRPG with modern presentation and is amazing.

Yeah, he should've said Americlap Bones or Leafzakistan's Pants money.
No it isn't. It's another run-of-the-mill anime game.
That is literally where you are wrong. You can talk shit about Senran Kagura or Gal-Gun like you did last time aaaaalll day long but no one except you will actually believe that Gravity Rush is trash. Anyone's who's ever touched it or gonna touch it will immediately see why it's fun.
>That is literally where you are wrong.
Nah, I'm right and you know it. You pretend it is fun because you like the brown anime waifu and that's the end of it.
Would you still praise and defend the game if the main character were a rugged-looking dude, whit everything else unchanged?
Yeah, I'd still play it if it was a 2010 brown and bloom rugged man with his face and gun being the only thing shown on the game cover because the gravity mechanics and combat is stellar.

I played the first game for shits and giggles and holy shit its fricking awful.
The second one actually took me by surprise. It's not gonna beat L4D2 but it's about as good as a weebshit zombie horde shooter with anime girls is gonna get. There's an actual cohesive story now, the game isn't just a wave-based shooter and you can aim with sights. It's an enjoyable ride. If you gotta coom to zombies raping your girls and shit, sure install the patch, I just think I didn't need it, it's the most jarring part about the game for me, especially cause you're a different protag from the first game and they reference him multiple times and I know and SEEN that homie bust into these girls like 5 times each. Anyway. It's good.

Needy Streamer Overload
Seed of the Dead 2 (don't install the uncesor patch, it ruins the game tbh)
Anyway. It's good.
Both, just got a Deck and I've been installing weebshit like the filthy fricking weeb I am since yesterday

Many thanks, fren
Okay, so you said animeslop so I just gave you a bunch shit that's anime and good but what about games that are good but also anime? >Xanadu Next >Spirit Hunter: Death Mark, Spirit Hunter: NG >Paranormasight >Resonance of Fate >.hack//GU Last Recode >Gnosia >Kowloon Highschool Chronicle >Any of the Persona games >You ME and HER (might need to patch this iirc) >The Vagrant >SHOGO: Mobile Armor Division >World of Horror
You better not miss this one, be sure to fill the cart up, it's Christmas! you do want a good Christmas don't you? fill that cart up, there's so many good deals. Don't forget a single thing you want this year.
It's about having a fulfilling holiday this year, you deserve it. So make sure to get everything you want, don't think, just make yourself happy, fill your cart, do not miss out.
Funnily enough that's Argentinians in a nutshell.
They could just pirate to their heart's content because by being on LATAM they will never be prosecuted for pirating; instead they b***h about having to pay high prices on Steam.
Which Seven Days, there's like 5 results.
Killer Frequency is decent, maybe like 5-8 hours but it's only good for one playthrough unless you fricked up and got people killed, then it's two.
>Which Seven Days, there's like 5 results.
Frick, didnt realize that. The VN with the anime girls. It looks kind of comfy, no R18 patch either
Maybe keep an eye on hidden gems threads too, that's usually where the greybeard people lurk, we had one yesterday, but it got ruined cause someone recommended Mass Effect LE lmfao.
I do keep trying, have been since the Fall sale, just had a short lapse in resolve for a moment. I do also try to visit the hidden gem threads when I can, but no luck so far.
[...] >new cards
Oh shit, so it might be worth trying then. Finally some progress, thanks for the information.
Np, I spoonfed you since it is christmas, but dont expect me to do it again!
>Never gave into the breach a try though.
Not him but do so at your earliest convenience. It looks like dogshit from the screenshots, and it's really hard to tell about it without it sounding like dogshit too, but I swear I had a frickload of fun playing that game. It's like if doing chess puzzles was actually fun for people who aren't autistic enough to like chess. I do recommend that you play without advanced edition at first because while it's not necessarily bad, it is of noticeably lower quality compared to the base game.
its barely mediocre at BEST. Elder Scrolls: Bored Housewife edition. Artstyle aged poorly, combat sucks, moronic levels of microtransactions, timegated crafting and mount improvement, mandatory subscription if you dont want to be a second class citizen because you have no inventory space, cant decorate your house with more than a couple of objects unless you have the subscription, fanfiction tier writing, CANON LOOTBOXES
it just fricking sucks dick anon. Same for Fallout 76, before some idiot comes asking and wanting someone to go "dude its great they actually fixed the game now"
moron. Theres a huge difference in how each genre plays. RogueLITES can be fricking anything from risk of rain to hades to eogue legacy where rogueLIKES have certain rules

I see, do you believe Final Fantasy XIV is a better alternative for an MMO? Or should I just go back to WoW?
>I enjoy both really, so anything goes (love ToMe for example)
For trad roguelikes - my favorite ever is >Rogue's Tale.
It's very nice looking, kinda simplistic, but very smooth to play. Has metaprogression but it's (mostly) fun where you get tangible benefits for doing specific achievements. The downside is it's supremely cruel, almost like it genuinely hates, which it honestly might. Personally I love it more than ToME because it has nowhere near the amount of informational and visual vomit, and is much more pleasant to navigate. I don't care if I don't have autoexplore since the maps aren't as shitty as in ToME to the point where I'd kill myself without it.
Then for lites I could point to >Wizard of Legend
Nothing special but overall pretty comfy and satisfying to play. Like a battlemage sim. >Savage Vessels
Hearr of Teleglitch? This is its smarter more handsome but underachieving younger brother. 30 fricking reviews that thing has. >Convoy
FTL's less mechanically deep younger cousin but with cars. Very comfy, and only slightly buggy. >Dome Keeper
2D mining + wave defense. Supremely high quality of execution and polish, but a bit light on content. 100%ed it in 36 or so hours, but I would recommend it at a 50% discount for sure. >Boneraiser Minions
Vampire Survivors like but surprisingly not shit and doesn't feel like a casino slotmachine preying on your shiny-chasing monkeybrain instincts.
Mind if I asked which ones you're actually going to check out or have already checked out (and what the outcome might have been)? Just wanna have some feedback.
>Soulash2
i suggest you keep and eye out for the updates then >keeper rl
It tries to be kinda like dwarf fortress but more manageable without using df hack scrips. Best way i seen this game get describes is rimworld + dungeon keeper >Stoneshard
Yup still only preset chars
>suggest you keep and eye out for the updates then
I'll assume it's not ready yet, then. >It tries to be kinda like dwarf fortress but more manageable without using df hack scrips. Best way i seen this game get describes is rimworld + dungeon keeper
Is it as smooth as Rimworld? Also, how is the actual customization? Far as I recall, you make your keeper and you get minions based on his faction. Does the keeper get name, appearance, trait options? >Yup still only preset chars
Thise lazy hacks, I swear to frick.
Thanks for the response, lad.
>a better alternative for an MMO? Or should I just go back to WoW?
MMOs are on life support, unless you are hardcore addicted just let them go
XIV is like a visual novel where you happen to see other people occasionally, its not what most people are looking for in an MMO where you group up and hang out from level 1 to 100 even though i had fun with it for a little bit
maybe try old school runescape just because its so radically different from the other extant big mmos but its very grindy and the simple gameplay and graphics will filter a lot of people
posts like these and knowing newbies get tricked into wasting their time.
>newbies wasting time
except morons keep making new ones, not even with fake items, real carts that they just happen to post over and over again to get (You)s
Not him but have you played all of those? Therr are several of those titles I'm curious about.
Yes, but there is a difference between digging up an old update post on steam and giving out some general impressions of a game

Yeah, that one. It is fun. Good variety in the mechs and enemies
>Yes, but there is a difference between digging up an old update post on steam and giving out some general impressions of a game
Well since you wanna talk about it - I was asking with the intentions of knowing whether that update makes the game worth buying just for Leshy's card game alone. Could be surface-level garbage for all I know. But I was too tired of asking questions and you seemed like a good sport trying to help, so I just thanked you and called it a day.
Was gonna give the chess comparison too, but was afraid he might be turned off by that
He should be turned off by that, but the thing about ItB is it somehow makes chess fun. I hate the absolute shit out of puzzle games but ItB is an exception. I'm trying to frame it as a testament to the game's quality that it managed to make chess feel fun.
Wanted to know if Soulash2 is anywhere near passable right now. Gay dev overprices his shitty roguelikes, SA1 was trash, this one looks like it's got a TON of potential, but it's EA and the demo was trash too. Just wanna know if it's good. Also if he still has those horrendous portraits instead of comfy creature sprites like the first one did. >KeeperRL
Another one I wanted to know about. Just in general. Worth the money? >Stoneshard
Still no character creator I presume?
Inscryption... what could have been a fantastic game turned into shit by ARG elements. Act 1 is amazing. Everything after is trash.
Precisely. I just want more of act 1. Act 1 is the real game.
If I said under $100 mxn people wouldn't bother doing the conversion.

Got Vampire the Masquerade and trying to get it to run on my deck with the patch.
I'm following a tutorial on YouTube but if anyone has any experience with doing this and has any tips I'd greatly appreciate it.
didn't work? I'm gonna say something controversial here but try the True Patch Gold, I played it with that on and am having zero issues so far aside from only having the basics of the basics, like the patch doesn't add anything, it just fixes the issues. I'm gonna dig out my deck and post a screen.
Any games like Hollow Knight? Not just Metroidvania, but some nice areas and some exploration to do. Played both Ori games already. I would call them similiar even if Ori doesnt have that much combat
Frick yes, I've been shilling them every steam sale thread. Get 4. Get 3 later if you enjoyed it and want more. The only DLCs truly worth it for 4 are the Shinsengumi and Where Are They Now? If you want to get into the endgame grind with 4, the Demon DLC is how you'll get easy smithing materials. But yeah just play the fricking game and enjoy Acquire's best formula and one of most unique games in vidya tbh.
I played them way back in the day. Think the last one was either 4 or 5. I'm willing to take a chance for only ten dollars to see if I still like it or not.
It is kino. You are an engineer on a mission and alot of stuff go to shit. You have to fix and document building violations. You travel through the city. It is fun
>I am pretty sure that is not meant to look like that
I'll never forgive Paradox for being such stingy fricking israelites that every single god damn strategy game now price gouges the shit out of the player.
Why the frick do I need to spend 30 dollars on a fricking indie strategy game?
the amount of normalgays here is genuinely oustanding. borderlands, mass effect, days gone, open world shit, etc. saying Ganker or Ganker is some underground place now is insane

get a load of this dumb Black person lmao
people in thread on Ganker are always shitting on reddit people or twitter for their taste but theyre all the same people playing the same games. or they arent playing games and just get dopamine from posts like mine or newbies getting upset and wrapped in a dumb argument. its crazy to me i used to do this shit daily lol

No really lots, but I took classes when I was younger and stopped after a while. Whenever I play now it just makes me remember how I shouldn't have quit and how good I could've become instead.
Recently Ganker started shilling the frick out of Days Gone because the story revolves around a white man and his marriage with a white woman so they're using it as a weapon against the current big budget Sony games.
It's pretty funny when you think about it.
A bent shekel says you haven't even taken a look at all the games I listed in

It's gotta be made by one autist with a pure vision so trannies won't sneak in and corrupt the whole project. Is it gonna be you? If not then go find someone. We got lucky this year and got a homie to set up Based mods and save us, for something niche like yours I doubt we'll get another autist like that, so you gotta do it mang.

Well, I pulled the trigger and bought all 3. Maybe this will give me the push I need to finish Patho 1. Should I use a guide? I loved the atmosphere when I tried it but the time limit was a bit stressful.
I tried to play Patho 1, but it was too fricking much to figure out the slavic logic. Probably should use a guide when stuck and try your best
That price is way too high for GTA V and Fallout.
I'm mostly looking for stuff for my steam deck. Any suggestions?
All of these are too much $$$ for what you get
I would keep Katamari but that's about it
This reminds me to add pizza tower to my cart thanks

The dev's a massive fricking homosexual
buy BG3 from somewhere else for no DRM unless you really want to play on deck
Why is this f### reposted every f### sale threads? Get lost
i've been seeing this every year, turns out it's been posted since 2015. Is this some kind of inside joke i'm not getting or one autist
Not quite sure yet
Give some opinions on these games
I am for sure getting Doom, Dusk and Nier. Want Dead Space 2, but a bit hesitant since it has been cheaper before. Train seems comfy
I would drop Plague. Hyped walking sim from what I have seen
re4 and katamari are really good. Talos is of course goated too.
>chained echoes
not a jrpg, western made and full of woke shit
get just astlibra
If you actually want good vidya keep:
Astlibra, RE4 and Katamari
Plague Tale is a shit movie game for women. Unless you like babysitting a moronic boy, stay far away.
I tried to warn him about it, but nobody listens
Nobody here listens anyway. You'll see the same cart five more times until someone says "Plague Tale is great" and then he buys it.
RE4 and Katamari are great
drop chained echos, it was so lackluster near the end i dropped it
1/2

Recommend me some good RPG.
Hard mode: not turn based, not anime, not DnD
I've also already played Morrowind,Fallout,Gothic,Witcher etc so nothing obvious.
>Morrowind,Fallout,Gothic,Witcher
Those aren't RPGs.
Okay jarpigger
The only one that comes to mind in the fantasy genre is
Arx Fatalis
Alternatively, stuff like this
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Deus Ex
Mass Effect
>not turn based,not anime,not DnD
You could also think outside the box and consider an ARPG.
Dragon's Dogma.
It'll either be your new favorite game or you'll be baffled that anybody could like it but it's definitely its own thing and fits your criteria plus only a few bucks. Then if you do like it the sequel's only a few months out.
>baffled that anybody could like it
This
I tried it twice. It's like a bad mix of Dark Souls+Korean MMO
Fair enough, I love it but you can feel its troubled development throughout. DD2's biggest pull is getting all the ideas DD had in a fully completed and iterated game.
Rate my cart. Any thoughts? Which two of these games would you pick?
Siralim Ultimate and Brotato are both great games. Gnorp Apologue gets old fast, and I found Backpack Hero very underwhelming.
Removed some superflous stuff and added some more. Any more thoughts? Anyone wanna be the anti-shill for these games?
Cosmoteer is pretty good, if you like the idea of that look into Reassembly as well.
Should i get the dlc? I already have reassembly on my library.
For how cheap it is right now I'd say probably, but it's nowhere near essential. If you haven't played Reassembly before I'd spend like a half hour playing it and then figure out if you want more, and if you do then get the DLC.
yes or no?
is is halfway fixed?
tbh this game was one of my favorites of the year. I consider myself a low to mid level star wars fan. there is minor jank but I don't really agree with any of the major complaints about it. my biggest beef was some bug that prevented a questline from happening
so its not too bad then? got a 5800x /3080 should be enouch right?
Yeah, that is a dickless setup
thinking this is a solid haul
Quasimorph feels pretty half-baked at the moment, FYI
does it?
thats sad. im tired of playing qud
Does it allow for respecs? Is it at all possible to play it without a guide?
As far as I remember, no there is no respec, it's very oldschool and hardcore in that regard.
Playing without a guide is possible but starting out might not be if you don't know what you are doing, you really have to come up with a great build from the start of the game or you might just not be able to finish it so it's advised to look up some builds that work.
Sounds like the dev is either a moron or a homosexual. Too bad I bought it a month ago and there are no takesy backsies, Black folk that do shit game design to pretend to be oldschool should be raped to death.
You've got three potential +100 hour games in that cart. Are you sure you're going to be able to go through them all?
I haven't really played puzzle games before (aside from Baba Is You but it's harder stuff filtered me)
But now I want to EXPAND my BRAIN
Aight, fair enough. The Pedestrian for instance. Agent A and Puzzle Agent (both point and click)
Hey, do you guys know if there's a Steam curator that lists games with any amount of LGBT content in them?
kys
You're just gonna have to post your cart here or google around about individual games.
Bg3 lets you be gay or a troony, also has a nonbinary option.
Hella Yuri (self explanatory). Don't know about curators specialized on Gay / Transgender games.
any good 40k games on sale?
I enjoyed this one, it's like xcom
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1611910/Warhammer_40000_Chaos_Gate__Daemonhunters/
I had a decent time with Shootas Blood & Teef, it's an Orkz run & gun with co-op.
Installing the steamdb extension was a mistake or actually a great thing to do
>game is 60% off
>steamdb shows me it was 65% off before
>don't buy
Probably a strange question but how's the PvP in Civilization VI? I've never really played much 4X stuff and never in multiplayer but the idea of it in a game like Civ sounds really fun. I'm assuming if I grab it I should stick to the base game since all the reviews for the DLC are total shit.
am I crazy for wanting to pick this up
I liked Outriders and that was shit on too
It's hard to find good looter style RPGs that aren't the same ones over a decade old, like Diablo or Borderlands. I was thinking of giving that a try as well.
>Godfall
Why? That game got killed.
I played both and Babylons Fall at least has better combat system. Godfall really is walmart nu GoW like its really fricking bad.
Any games that have playable cat girls? I don't want to give Todd money after what happened with Starfield
Fuga 1 & 2 has playable underage cat girls at 40% and 20% discount respectively
Not really playable but "Monster Girls and the Mysterious Adventure" 1 and 2 are both really good mystery dungeon games where you can have cute catgirls in your party.
Give me games with good modding scenes please
rimworld
skyrim
terraria
Help me please!
What do you think my cart? I removed Days Gone and Horizon and added the Marvel game and Dragon's Dogma. It was a good swap?
And what do you think about Aliens: Dark Descent?
Dragon's Dogma is an excellent pick, definitely keep it in your cart. Dunno about the rest sorry.
I'm skeptical of simulator games
I feel like Aliens DD will get a bigger discount later
Days Gone is good if you like zombie games and the story isn't bad even if it drops in quality for the final quarter story wise
is it a proper zombie game with hordes and stuff or just a story linear shit?
like day z proper? no, it's closer to a ubisoft game (but not in a bad way) there's outposts, zombie nests, zombie caves stuffed with zombies and massive horde clearing activities
>Adding a cape game just because Ganker told you
Grim
That is Eidos' best since they got zombified after Mankind Divided. It's decent enough if he likes that capeshit.
>Ganker shills cape-themed mediocrity
Grim
Meh, not like you've played it, or have high standards just cause you criticize his pick.
opinions on these?
Scourgebringer is extremely mediocre
>steals your games and money if you have a 'wrong' OS
no, thanks
I just upgraded from 3600/RX 580 to 5800x3d/RTX 4070, give me some games to push them, only one I have really is RDR2
Is System Shock worth it brehs?
Should I pull the trigger?
Remove dead cells
how are you finding final fantasy tactics?
i didnt even know there was a pc port
why is it not showing when i search?
There's a King's Bounty 2? WTF?
that's an old as frick bait image anon
Ironically some of these already made it to Steam
Actually, it's at minimum only 3 years old since it has the Demon's Souls remake on it. It really feels like it has been around forever though.
That's the original DS, not the remake.
>haha i tricked you into... giving advice and recommendations!! you earnest fool!! serves you right for helping fellow anons
i will never understand what goes through the minds of people that post those bait fake carts
posts like these and knowing newbies get tricked into wasting their time.
hahaha newbie newbie
Frick you.
Maybe if it was like 5 bucks, 10 with DLCs, I'd begrusgingly recommend it, but I can't fathom paying all that money for this little content.
>parasite eve
Search for it
>no results
How?
They say the most convincing lies have a bit of truth mixed in, and clearly that is correct.
>indie game is 3 years old
>30% off
they can't keep getting away with it
>never gets a sale
>actually increases the game price after years
jews can get away with that and more
Factorio is the ideal example of "tap the autistic audience". Niche can support a game just fine. Hell, didn't Dwarf Fortress creator(s) become a millionaire recently?
>points this out
>neckbeards come crawlings from their caves to defend this
frick this shit
they're dumb nerds worshipping this game because it gives "purpose" to their shitty lives
they're spending thousands of hours alone rotting on their computer but the idea of autistically optimizing their bases gives them a false sense of accomplishment to act like they're epic engineers that work for free and don't actually do anything irl
I've been mass reported and banned for speaking this out.
factorio's target audience is subhuman autists. No sane person is gonna get into it. Dev figured this out and is exploiting it. And to add insult to injury, the fricking morons defend it.
ong I totes want dis game, plz homie man save me
As others have pointed out, the dev's pricing strategy is based on exploiting autists who are made uncomfortable by the notion that people will at some point be able to purchase the game for less than they did.
Joke's on him though; my particular autism means I cannot spend money on a game that has ever been cheaper in the past, and therefore I will never purchase it.
>mfw finding out there's a non-VR mod for HL: Alyx
Last I heard it was still very rudimentary and a lot of the more involved set pieces were still borderline unplayable
reminder these three games have leaked ahead of time for january humble choice if you were looking to buy them
>Marvel’s Midnight Suns
>Two Point Campus
>Aragami 2
Stop me from buying this Idea Factory slop
It's azur lane. That should be enough
What's a good game to get into 40k: Gladius, Mechanicus, Daemonhunters, Space Marine or Boltgun?
Might also consider getting Rogue Trader on gog
Space Marine or Dawn of War 1
Rogue Trader is too buggy to recommend
t. beta tester
Prepare for one of the most kino VA and Soundtrack
Rogue Trader is too buggy atm wait for the definitive edition.
Spess Mreen (Gears like)
Dawn of War (GOAT RTS)
Inquisitor Martyr (Diablo like)
Daemonhunters (Xcom like)
Boltgun (Boomer shooter)
Blood and Teef (Run n Gun platformer)
Dawn of War 1 is good. My favorite DoW1 is Dark Crusade.
Don't.
>Mechanicus
it has a killer ost, but its brand of tactical rpg might not appeal to everyone
Should I get Tales of Arise or Fate Extella?
Recommend me some good jrpgs
Any game with pretty women (non anime) where the pretty women are just a bonus and not the selling point?
How's she looking?
As much as I hate to say it, The Ascent sucks. It's a very pretty game but that's the literal only thing it has going for it.
Pan'orama > Dorfromantik IMO
>Pan'orama
I'll check it out thanks anon
Carrion is underwhelming. Sure it's a cheap short indie, but it still felt like it could've done way more and way better with its concept.
Carrion got boring after an hour or two.
I still wonder if Inscryption is worth it. It was shit on release because that good game you played a demo for gets ditched a third of the way through for inferior placeholder card games and a whole lot of homosexual metanarrative. Someone told me it got some kind of free DLC that makes it worth it but I can't for the lifw of me get anyone to fricking tell me about it.
should i pull the trigger on this?
>mass effect trilogy for $6
I'd pull the trigger on that alone
Keep ME, remove the rest
Keep GD, remove the slop
>forspoken
This game sucks balls anon. I completed it on pirate because im a sucker for games that get shitted on by everyone else but damn this time redditor homosexuals were right.
but she's so fricking hot. must have it at this price, it's a steal
Then why did you ask if you were gonna buy it anyway? Just embrace your homosexualry and stop looling for validation.
That guy buying Forspoken with his dick is no different to when you buy trash like Senran Kagura or Gravity Rush with your dicks.
thank God, I don't buy shovelware either
>strawman
This is not a political bait thread, I'm not looking to accept your concession, so stop doing it.
I don't buy anything with my dick.
>Gravity Rush
A genuinely fun game with fun ideas, please don't even try to put it alongside breasts with a side of beat-em up.
>"I don't buy anything with my dick"
>proceeds to shill Gravity Rush
You're a moron thougheverbeit.
Oh wait, this is that homie that really hates SK for some reason.
You can maintain willful ignorance for the sake of your moronic argument, but I'm not really interested in humoring you any further. Good luck out there, bud.
I've never seen any internet discussion about Gravity Rush talking about or discussing the game itself; it's either yuri posting or fetish discussion about the player character's smell.
That's all I need to know.
>wallalalalalala i cant hear you
Too bad. It IS a great series.
No it isn't. It's another run-of-the-mill anime game.
ok, ok, relax already, you fit in
>game
It's a shitty visual novel with braindead gameplay to break up the monotony but the gameplay is also monotonous. Only coomers grasp onto this fricking series. There's a reason it's dead.
You don't have to buy something just because it's discounted, anon. Don't be a middle aged housewife ordering from TV sales. You can also just play the demo first.
yeah it's definetly a steal...
This prompted me to look up Freya on r34 and I'm e-girlng for real now.
this is unironically what taboo/incest porn dialogue is like, at least the POV stuff
It's how she constantly talks in the game
It is a good feeling to just cum inside a girls throat without warning. Bad manners, but w/e
>giving money to modern Bioware
Just pirate ME, that way you can get the actual good version of 1
>forspoken
over how many layers of bait are we here my man
Don't get Forspoken. That game isn't even worth pirating let alone buying. Not a big fan of the LE version of Mass Effect, or their shitty launcher but for $6 that is quite a deal.
Let's just say this selection is so repulsive I thought for a moment this was a bait image like the one that gets constantly posted with GTA 5, Fallout 4 and some other game.
if you're fine playing on the EA launcher with ME, sure
First, get better taste in women. Second, Mass Effect is easily worth it at that price. Geometry Dash is a fun time waster and $2 is hardly a bad asking price. Baldur's Gate 3 is Baldur's Gate 3. If you end up liking it, you'll probably get tens of hours out of it at least. But also that sale kinda frickin sucks so maybe you don't need it yet. Forspoken is obviously garbage and shouldn't be purchased for any reason.
Shame about ME being on the EA app though
Fricking hate double DRM in general. Why do I need fricking two launchers to play a game? What does EA even get out of forcing the use of their stupid shit? They already got the money from the purchase, what difference does it make?
Yeah, it is bullshit. According to some reviews it seems to bug the game as well, not allowing them to play it
Dont get your hope up too high now
Recommend me some JRPG games videogames to play
What have you already played and/or what do you like?
There are no good games to buy that I haven't already bought and then later installed without DRM spyware.
can get death stranding+ evil within or just replicant. Barely know anything about this games, except for the comments i've read here.
>Death stranding = walking sim, movie game, kojima slop
>Evil within = cluncky and shit pc port
>Replicant = old one was better
DS is the best one if you don't get filtered
>Replicant = old one was better
Don't know if this is true but old OST was better for sure. New game added new ending and new cool boss.
RE6 - TPS, sometimes with a lot of chaotic shit on the screen
RE7 - FPS survival horror (yes, basically classic RE but FPS)
Muestra de donde eres, cobarde
Resident evil 7 or RE6 ? please help bros..
6 is an action game that pretends to be RE. 7 is a FPS that's got a decent horror mood for the first bits and then it just becomes RE but FPS.
I have all the big C games, AHiT, Nobeta, Frogun, etc. Anything I'm missing that came out this year and is on sale? I don't like going in the thread because of the goblin creeps.
Otherwise looking for H games with good gameplay.
Marchen forest, yamafuda, Harmony's odyssey.
Marchen forest looks cute but dang no sale
Oh, just saw it, a shame. You can get the "legacy"/old version if you want. 90% off.
I don't know if there is genre for those games but I want something similar to Yakuza, Disaster Report, Way of the Samurai, Akiba's Trip. Some japanese kusoge with a bunch of side quests.
have you played judgment yet
Yes. I played all mainline Yakuza games + Judgment. Don't want to touch Ishin yet because I heard there is a lot of grinding
I found cases longer and less engaging. But I only finished 2 of them (I still want to finish the game so I didn't drop it because it was bad) so I might be wrong
I'll grab them up then
You know, if you really like mystery games then grab both of them.
Games I'm considering
Blade Strangers 80%
Expeditions: Rome 60%
Lost Ruins 50%
Waiting for a better sale
Gal Guardians 30%
The Ninja Survivors 20%
>Blade Strangers
I forgot this was a thing. I might get it just for Solange
It's like (the equivalent) of three bucks. I want it for Solange and Umihara Kawase
Thanks! I've played it (cracked) to like Gaul, but by then I was really bored of the game, and the Gauls were tedious to fight. I still liked it a lot though
>Expeditions: Rome 60%
Check out Humble Choice
https://www.humblebundle.com/membership
Lost Ruins gets boring pretty quickly, it's got great visuals but the gameplay is meh, there are much better indie metroidvanias on steam
If you're keen on Lost Ruins I have an unused code for it.
>All the games I was 100% sure on I have already bought
>All the games I am on the fence about nobody plays or nobody wants to talk about and give advice on
Read reviews, anon. It's why they're there. Even if only 10-20% are actually useful.
>Starbound
>Overwhelmingly Positive
>Tarnishing of Juxtia, a game I genuinely liked
>Can't even get out of Mixed
I don't trust Steam reviews even when they're talking about the game.
Man, chill out, we have the entire thread, you made a long ass post and it's gonna take as long to frickin read through it.
>Inscryption
I do also try to visit the hidden gem threads when I can, but no luck so far.
>new cards
Oh shit, so it might be worth trying then. Finally some progress, thanks for the information.
man what the frick
whatever though, i don't have the funds to check it out right now, I'll keep deliberating on it for now
>Gameplay is horrendous
Only that you can break the combat really easily, there's a spell that you can cast by mouseclick speed which almost fricked up my pointer finger cause it was the only move I used for one playthrough.
>if I had ever seen a thread, a single one, discussing those "stellar" gravity mechanics and combat.
Good evening.
>Inscryption
its extremely difficult to talk about the game without spoiling anything but to put it in words, "Inscryption" is a game... *about* a card game, the card game being Inscryption. Does that make sense? Inscryption is *about* Inscryption, the card game. It's ostensibly a roguelite deckbuilder. Its not a game you play if you want to play slay the spire or some shit, its a game you play for the story and if you're a fan of trading card games
>its extremely difficult to talk about the game without spoiling anything but to put it in words
Just go ahead and spoil the frick out of it if you consider it necessary for people to understand how it plays.
A genuinely good game stands on its own regardless of plot.
> if you consider it necessary for people to understand how it plays.
anon you're playing the same game heh throughout the entire thing
Turns out I lied anon. I had played some of these.
I have no clue what you mean about Inscryption. It is a decent game and I enjoyed it.
I only liked Leshy's part of Inscryption. Everything else felt like garbage. But that's just a small part of the game. Someone told me there was some kind of free DLC that expanded it, but I've no idea what that lad meant cause he was acting like a Black person.
What about that protagonist question?
My very first crew recruit in Sunless Sky was a troony. Make of that what you will. Personally I dropped it on the spot.
Boneraiser Minions, perhaps?
I think he meant that they added a DLC that allows you to just play Leshys part or something. Havent played it after I beat it
Was there any extra content added with that DLC?
Inscryption... what could have been a fantastic game turned into shit by ARG elements. Act 1 is amazing. Everything after is trash.
list the games then anon maybe i'll have played some of them
post them
>Can't get any input on games
>"Post them, maybe we can help"
>Post them
>Can't get any input on games
I would help you but I don't play indie games. Sorry.
Ree...
>Fricking moron, you listed them in the most annoying way possible. Nobody is reading that block of text
Well frick you too then, c**t, should've made your zoomer formatting preferences clear before you asked
>inb4 I didn't ask
Well then double frick you.
Calm down pls.
Fricking moron, you listed them in the most annoying way possible. Nobody is reading that block of text
I am blanking, what is DX1?
No wonder I didnt remember since it was dishonest recommending
>I am blanking, what is DX1?
Deus Ex.
If you didn't like the remake you won't like the original or System Shock 2.
Deus Ex and the System Shock games are the equivalent of Dark Souls and Nioh: they're superficially similar but at their core are very different so fans of one don't like the other.
>so fans of one don't like the other
works cited:
Well, it's your money and time. Don't say I didn't warn you.
that wasn’t me replying. my issue with the remake was how goofy and cartoonish the enemy designs were. really took me out of the experience. the gameplay itself wasn’t an issue for me.
Clearly I'm not the person who needs explaining how SS2 and DX compare. But saying that there is some kind of well known schism between either DS and Nioh players, or DX and SS2 players is totally outlandish.
deus ex. should’ve clarified
Should I?
Trilogy is cool.
Chronicles is mixed bag.
Mixed bag as in bad story, bad writing, or bad mystery?
Would I be missing much?
>Epic: Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, Melvor Idle, Art of Rally, Fallout 3 GOTY
>$0 instead of $47 from $115.
So not counting price drops I've so far paid $15 for $114 current sale price from $295 current base price.
>epic
>gog
uhhh sweaty this is the steam sale thread why don't you go to the epic or gog sale threa- oh
>code of princess
>code of princess ex
which one should I buy? is the ex version a straight upgrade? if so, why is it cheaper?
Updated graphics, changed skill system, and limited Bursts.
Get the original or just emulate the game.
YOU'RE LAUGHING
PEOPLE ARE BUYING INDIE GAMES FOR MORE THAN $10
AND YOU'RE LAUGHING
Is the house of the dead remake really THAT bad?
same for panzer dragoon
I think I should clean up.
Played it at a friend's house like old times, holy frick it's got like no soul, even typing of the dead overkill was better, also cheaper for about 3 dollars on a keysite.
>Armored Core isn't on sale
Frick you FromSoftware!
You aren't missing anything; it was so bad the Armored Core fanbase disowned it even when they've been through a 10 years drought.
Is Shadow Empire any good or is it one of those "play for 400 hours to grasp how to play it" 4X games?
Literally only reason I use Epic is for free shit.
This also got me Death Stranding.
MIDNIGHT SUNS ON THE HUMBLE CHOICE NEXT MONTH, CAREFUL IF YOU WERE PLANNING ON BUYING
https://twitter.com/billbil_kun/status/1738531855912079452
No one with a brain has Humble bundle. There is only garbage on there.
It's not a "keep paying or we'll take your games away" like PS+ or GamePass. You get a key and you redeem it on Steam, sir. It comes down to whether you like the games offered, but it's almost always a better deal than buying the game itself.
Regionalprice bros do after getting cucked by steam
No one with a brain uses Humble Choice.
Bundles vary heavily but sometimes are worth it. Rarely anymore though.
Fricking BundleStars/Fanatical and itch.io have better bundles than Humble outside of the giant frickoff ones.
Not worth buying. I got it last sale
elaborate? I like xcom and turn based
Play troubleshooter then
Midnight sun's is shallow and not really like xcom other than being turn based. Character list is also a little lame.
do you have the DLC? not sure how much does it add
Any game where I can create and cast spells like in Morrowind? Basically an RPG with advanced magic system. I know of Arx. is there anything else?
Any good games with insert songs/vocal tracks like Metal Gear Rising?
Here are games under consideration. Please help me decide, I have loads of fotm indie stuff you probably already played this year
>Dave the Diver -20%
>Rain World Downpour -25% (expected better, they did 60% off for Fall)
>Book of Hours -10%
>Chants of Sennaar -20%
>Void Stranger -15%
>Bugsnax -60%
and finally, not on sale at all
>Pseudoregalia
>Armored Core VI
>Library of Ruina
Best deal is Bugsnax. Other games can go lower after this sale.
I'd suggest just skipping them all and looking at something else.
Dunno what to buy for a friend who is a jRPG fan, particularly of SMT and Tales of.
Star Ocean 2? Astlibra? Chained Echoes? Octopath II?
Your best bet is Octopath or one of the Persona games.
Alternately get him Dragon Quest XI S.
Does he like touhou?
If yes Touhou artificial dream in arcadia is literally a SMT with Touhou
>anon gifts me a game 3 years ago
>adds me on steam
>had fun with them
>want to return the favor
>feel like it would feel cringe
it's been 3 fricking years...
Part 1 of probably my final cart (I still have a huge backlog lol)
Part 2
Postal 4 is fricking rancid shit. And I know "hurr durr Postal is supposed to be shit" but 4 is just a fricking boring ass scam that uses a ton of unmodified unreal store assets. I genuinely had more fun playing Postal 3, because that game is at least broken in a funny way.
qrd on second sight and hatred?
they been on my wishlist
Does 2nd sight run well on modern hardware?
I played Second Sight on a steam deck, if that means anything. Controls were awkward as ever but it worked.
Hatred is short even for that price, maybe just pirate it.
Marc Ecko's and Knights of the Temple are pretty good.
Evil God Korone is fricking short as hell, and Tsuginohi games are already pretty tight on content for their price.
Other than that pretty based for a 2004-2006 games enjoyer
I have over 600 games to finish XD
Now this is what a school shooter steam cart looks like.
What other game besides Hatred made you think that?
all the tranime and reddit games like brutal legend probably
I treat EA games as 10-15% chance of getting something legitimitely good and like 40% chance of getting something that's indiejank/mildly amusing but "ok" as oppsoed to actually good.
good chance of it, yeah. Worlds and Dyeus both at least seem interesting.
>haven't had time to play it yet. I treat EA games as 10-15% chance of getting something legitimitely good and like 40% chance of getting something that's indiejank/mildly amusing but "ok" as oppsoed to actually good.
Play it before the 2 weeks run out so you can refund it until he makes something proper of it.
Had to check worlds and now I remember seeing it being recommended, but I think the dev got called out for the shilling and it went nowhere
Frick, I didnt see the inb4 before I had typed out "I didnt ask". I read the text, but I havent played any of the games
Just check out the Oneyplays. The game is shit and the writing might as well be AI
Got any other examples? I have learned to trust Ganker, in these threads at least
>Got any other examples?
Pic related
. Name is Code of Princess, it's Nintendo 3DS shovelware and still gets semi-daily threads where Ganker praises the frick out of it.
That is the trick. You got to avoid non-sale threads
Nah, people are equally malicious on sales threads. See:
I saw a couple posts where someone wants to buy Blade Strangers but no one warns that anon how its community is literally non-existent and therefore he won't find a match.
How the frick is that malicious?
Recommending an absolutely terrible game is malicous.
I didn't even recommend it I just explained why it gets so much praise here without being like hey this is dogshit. I should know better than to expect anyone on Ganker to have any sort of reading comprehension though.
By saying "it's not amazing" you indirectly called it good, recommending it.
I can read between the lines.
Its not amazing but it came out in a time when we were in a major beat em up drought so it gets a lot of praise just because of that.
I have no idea there was a Code of Princess talk going on, I just posted it because I was in my Umehara folder, and I got CoP stuff there too.
I remember when it released on 3ds, and people hated it, the framerate was apparently horribly bad. I played it on Steam, and it was ok.
>I remember when it released on 3ds, and people hated it, the framerate was apparently horribly bad.
yeah it didn't even run at a stable 60fps, basically unplayable
What's the best and sexist Lara Croft game?
sexiest is lara croft underworld but the game is kinda meh.
Did anyone played shadow of the tomb raider tho?
Drop which one?
Drop Remnant 2
Damn, I was leaning towards that one. What's the reasoning, still too buggy?
Nah it's just mediocre like every game that tries to copy Souls.
what's a good fps soulslike?
Understood, thanks anons
Too poorly optimized even after several months of patches
Too short even for the asking price
What do you think?
You've been posting this for 3 days, buy it or frick off already you annoying c**t
Sales duration is 14 days.
Why are you still posting this? I've seen you post this several times already in multiple threads. I'm wondering if you are the same guy posting the same cart in every thread in past sales just to have "fun" as a weird hobby.
Sorry, I have to perform this ritual.
Also I'm a weirdo by the way and a neet
Thoughts? also recommend me something to round it up to a nice hundred was thinking of blood and teef or pathfinder
Inquisitor is a mediocre aprg and I say that as positively as possible. Try to look up how it plays so you know what you're getting yourself into.
How mediocre? I'm a guy that actually liked Diablo 4 for what it was
I really like 40k and I was meaning to buy this one back then but people's opinion on this game were mixed
If you actually liked Diablo 4 you will probably like Inquisitor just fine
I would only get Inquisitor if you really like 40k and you really like Diabe-girlkes.
I don't think I'll buy anything, I only play the same 2-3 multiplayers games
I just had a profound realization that I could just pirate games instead of buying them.
Ok poorgay
>he says in a SALE thread
lol
lmao perchance
Sales give us the illusion of being able to afford things.
Let me live in delusion, this is hell
I'm a cheapskate , ok pumpkin?
>Pirate all games
>Need to spend money on storage space for all of them since you have no easy way of just reinstalling games whenever you wanna play them
You're not saving money no matter what you do.
>Need to spend money on storage space for all of them since you have no easy way of just reinstalling games whenever you wanna play them
wut
I knew the state of Ganker's average reading comprehension was bad, but I didn't know things were this dire.
>I knew the state of Ganker's average reading comprehension was bad, but I didn't know things were this dire.
wut
Basically: if you pirate you need to spend money on external drives and the like to store the games you downloaded, when purchased games don't have that issue (you just download them from the store's internet page when you're going to play them or they come on their own disks if they're physical) so you're still spending money one way or the other.
What if I'll only download the games I'm going to actually play in the immediate future, like I'd do with Steam?
Then you are defeating the purpose of pirating given how you aren't taking possession of the software.
The purpose of pirating is not to pay money for something that is free.
>The purpose of pirating is not to pay money for something that is free.
Tell that to the Denuvo cracking scene
That's not the comeback you think it is
using torrents is exactly like using digital store, the only hassle is manually disabling 14 preorder DLCs if you'd rather not spoil early game. Even if you use a tracker that checks your ratios (why though), you can seed for a bit and get rid of it.
How's Against the Storm? Looks dank enough to keep the void away
It's amazing. I highly recommend it.
Etrian Odyssey 3 Y/N?
Even on sale the price is kind of fricktarded for what it is but I hate DS emulation so much I'm actually considering paying.
Just pirate it?
Play IV instead
Is Tales of Vesperia better than Berseria? I own it its already on my backlog, wanna know which one I should play first as a Tales virgin.
I can't tell you about anything else but the campaign was great.
>Is Titanfall 2 worth it for singleplayer alone?
No. Like most modern first person shooters they're all about the multiplayer.
>Does it really need fricking piece of shit Origin to work?
Yes
>Can I play singleplayer without an EA account like I did Dead Space 2?
No
Dropped, thanks for saving me the time, lad, 'preciate it.
Campaign is short but legitimately one of the best if not the best fps campaign out there. I believe it uses like an origin thin client I don't think you need a dedicated account anymore. Ultimate doesn't mean shit I think you just get a couple of titan skins.
>Campaign is short but legitimately one of the best if not the best fps campaign out there
This insane wienersucking is why I put Titanfall 2 on ignore.
I'm always wary of a game Ganker fellates way way too much.
Thanks for the laugh anon, I needed that.
So what is this sale's hidden gem that gets recommended? Last winter I believe it was Northern Journey and before that it was Infra in the summer.
blood west
It isnt even on sale though. You can get it for 33% off in the bundle with crossbow. Have had my eye on it since EA. Is it fun?
last year some anon was shilling worlds/the end of dyeus constantly
pretty sure it was the dev
>Neverwinter nights EE
>baldurs gate 1 2
>freedom force
>ghost master
>arcanum
>icewind dale
Am I missing any other old game that had/has modding communities (I already got quake, doom etc)
Skyrim
looks interesting but which one fren ? skyrim 5 or 4
I'm fascinated by the format of this thing but I have zero connection to Karateka.
Rogue trader or persona 5?
Rogue Trader
Rogue trader only if you dont mind dealing with bugs like youre on klendathu
Only consider P5 if you've already played Persona 3 and 4. It's a step down in many aspects and a 7/10 game for me but perhaps worth playing if you are into the franchise.
It's been a while since I played it but it was a great game, even if it was already outdated by then.
If you want something not by SQEnix you might like the Disgaea series. Start with 1 and if you like it, continue chronologically (preferable) or jump to 5.
how do I stop being a cheapass
convince me to buy this game
Don't. Just pirate it.
Im serious.
Don't. The developers pulled a Barkley 2 and dropped the sequel indefinitely after getting all the money from the fans.
Try the prologue demo.
I don't really rec it but it's still better than similar games like Coffee Talk.
DA: Origins yay or nay?
games like pic related, please bros
Symphony of War The Nephilim Saga
Ogre Battle squad building put into a grid-based SRPG rather than the pseudo-RTS format Ogre Battle has.
really enjoyed this game, had a lot of replay value for me just trying out different squad builds and whatnot especially on the hard difficulty
I bought dead space.
I'm probably going to play it after a nap.
rate my cart
just finished dx1, probably best game i’ve ever played. pure ludokino. heard i might like thief and system shock. didn’t like the remaster of ss so trying ss2 this time. hoping it clicks with me.
any other recs? is turok worth a grab?
Decent picks?
I got the kagura games package.
Every single game they have bros.
I'm going to fap until I die.
It's going to be a white christmas @_@
Recommend me some good party games (local/couch co-op) to get
BattleBlock Theater.
Tricky Towers.
Ultimate Chicken Horse.
Duck Game
Duck game
Yes or no?
Sure, it's pretty decent but a bit barebones isometric tactical RPG. I'd skip the first one and go right for Dragonfall, then Hong Kong, I like those two a lot, most of the characters are fun (not the deckers, never the deckers), the stories are pretty good and the music is fantastic
I played Ender Lilies a year ago, and I liked it a lot, but it got put on hold. I'll check out Tears, thanks
Seconding on Astalon, one of the best vanias on steam, get it if you haven't played it
Returns is mediocre, only really notable for being in the vanguard of classic kickstarter RPGs.
Hong Kong alone is worth it.
Looking to spend money but I pirate most stuff so I only buy MP stuff
But then I thought with the current crack situatuon I thought I will buy some Denuvo game instead of waiting for a crack
Then I looked into them and they are all pozzed (dead space remake, nsf unboud)
so I guess I will keep my money
Hi Fi Rush? Pretty sure it has Denuvo
Yeah but the smaller studio usually get Denuvo for a year only so it should get cracked soon after they remove it
>Yeah but the smaller studio usually get Denuvo for a year only so it should get cracked soon after they remove it
Not really; plenty of small games never get Denuvo removed.
So you think Hifi Rush is worth the 20 euro price?
Games with good panty shot content from the past year or two?
Bros, what are some good games that ALSO have casinos / slots in them? I frickin love when I can just waste time in a game and do some slice of life gambling bullshit. No, I'm not talking about games that just have texas holdem at random tables. Think: Pokemon Game Corner, but in a not shitty game
cough^
Bros is Need for Speed Rivals a good choice ? Im aware of the 30fps cap
>a good choice
>30fps cap
fricking wat
You can fix it with some console command, but I get your frustration
I might as well give up and get titanfall 2, ea its pretty soulless
do what I did.
>wait till there is a deal on ea play
>play all those singleplayer ea games
I'll probably do it again next year to play dead space.
Heat and payback are cheap but I'll probably play them on that month too
Is Sea of Stars actually any good?
No.
Well shit. Do you know any similar turn-based RPGs that have been released in the last decade or so that is actually worth playing?
Broad as frick request. Underrail and Resonance of Fate are good so have those reqs
Anything like Underrail that isn't dickpunchingly difficult? already went through the Fallouts multiple times
Try Age of Decadence. It also requires you to play your character eg. if you play as speech character you are not gonna survive any fights, but the game allows you to actually beat entire game without engaging in any fight at all. It's pretty short and it encourages you to beat it multiple times as different types of builds.
This sounds cool af, thanks anon
It's short and unfinished, don't bother.
It's not cool anon. It's not cool at all.
It's a puzzle pretending to be a game.
didn't choose to get 6 engineering when you levelled? GG game over.
Cosmic Star Heroine
I haven't played it but general consensus is that it has bad writing, protagonists don't have any personality, gameplay is too easy and boring and the only good things it has is visuals and music, but that's enough to impress the critics it seems. Chained Echoes should be better.
donations?
Yes, don't listen to Ganker contrarians
It won Best Indie for a reason.
drop any?
Deliver us the Meme
idk what people see in Deliver Us the Moon, but your list is pretty alright
No one lives under the lighthouse. Keep Short Hike
I have to agree with the the other guy. Not really malicious, but I get your point.
Grim Fandango is shit. Pirate it on gog if you must.
Any recs under $5 clapistan shekels?
>$5 clapistan shekels
people really think in buzzword phrases like this
sad
Yeah, he should've said Americlap Bones or Leafzakistan's Pants money.
If I said under $100 mxn people wouldn't bother doing the conversion.
Boneraiser looks cool but ended up getting the DLC for Dead Cells, will add to wishlist.
Is Skyrim VR worth it even though Bethesda is a shit company? I'm wanting to turn it into a porn game with mods.
idk about porn but you can turn it into comfykino, especially if it's only your fifth playthrough or so
you can sit in a tavern and just read books and shit
Mods transform the game into a top-tier VR experience
I just bought:
Webbed
Octopath Traveler 2
Jusant
Forgotten City
Refunct
Mini Ninjas
Crystal Project
Superflight
The Upturned
should i get er or mh rise
Is there any good space RPG you'd recommend? Outside of the obvious ones ME, Starfield, Outer Worlds etc.
I like the KOTOR games a lot, but they're probably too obvious
Give me your best animeslop.
Just bought Tales of Berseria, Arise, and Ryza's game.
Valkyria Chronicles remastered and Valkyria chronicles 4
Best as "genuinely good game that happens to be anime" or just "it has hot anime girls"
Both, just got a Deck and I've been installing weebshit like the filthy fricking weeb I am since yesterday
Many thanks, fren
I see; so anything is fair game.
I have a Code Vein key; do you want it?
Sure! I'd really appreciate that anon if you could.
Post a photo of your deck with this thread on its screen to know it's you, along with either your Steam account or a temporary e-mail, the one you feel more comfortable with.
[email protected]
Many thanks anon!
Post hand
Sorry, I don't swing that way, buddy.
Just doing regular FAT checks.
Sent.
Please post here if you received it.
Nothing yet, is this a ruse? Emails from myself show up no prob. Hmm...
I'm seeing an error message. I'll try a different temporary mail website.
I'll create a new temp email as well
Scarlet Nexus then , easy
Many, many thanks anons, and have a Merry Christmas!
Akiba's Trip 2
Attack on Titan 2
Ed-0: Zombie Uprising
Love Love School Days
Final Fantasy Type-0
Kaede the Eliminator
Needy Streamer Overload
Seed of the Dead 2 (don't install the uncesor patch, it ruins the game tbh)
>Seed of the Dead
Is this one genuinely decent or just a "play and fap" game.
From your list I've played Ed-0 and I think it's pretty good.
Anyway. It's good.
Okay, so you said animeslop so I just gave you a bunch shit that's anime and good but what about games that are good but also anime?
>Xanadu Next

>Resonance of Fate
>.hack//GU Last Recode
>Gnosia
>Kowloon Highschool Chronicle
>Any of the Persona games
>You ME and HER (might need to patch this iirc)
>The Vagrant
>SHOGO: Mobile Armor Division
>World of Horror
Got some pretty good deals this year, make sure to fill that cart up. Sales like this only come once a year after all.
>Sales like this only come once a year after all.
Steam sales happen 4 times a year like this you sneaky israelite
You better not miss this one, be sure to fill the cart up, it's Christmas! you do want a good Christmas don't you? fill that cart up, there's so many good deals. Don't forget a single thing you want this year.
yes master... must consume... pls take all my $$$ good sir you deserve it not me
It's about having a fulfilling holiday this year, you deserve it.
Yeah why should they complain about getting raped in the butthole, when they're gay.
Anybody played Killer Frequency or Seven Days???
Which Seven Days, there's like 5 results.
Killer Frequency is decent, maybe like 5-8 hours but it's only good for one playthrough unless you fricked up and got people killed, then it's two.
>Which Seven Days, there's like 5 results.
Frick, didnt realize that. The VN with the anime girls. It looks kind of comfy, no R18 patch either
Np, I spoonfed you since it is christmas, but dont expect me to do it again!
>Np, I spoonfed you since it is christmas, but dont expect me to do it again!
Isn't that what we're here for? To share information about videogames?
Yes, but there is a difference between digging up an old update post on steam and giving out some general impressions of a game
Yeah, that one. It is fun. Good variety in the mechs and enemies
Dont lynch me please
Don't worry, lad, I only got my Bethesdaslop this year as well.
honestly not loving this list too much
can anyone recommend any fun roguelikes or colony sims?
FTL. The other game from the FTL dev that I cant remember
into the breach
>ESO
please dont
Already have FTL, did quite enjoy it.
Never gave into the breach a try though.
>please dont
I'm getting that MMO itch, is it that bad?
>Never gave into the breach a try though.
Not him but do so at your earliest convenience. It looks like dogshit from the screenshots, and it's really hard to tell about it without it sounding like dogshit too, but I swear I had a frickload of fun playing that game. It's like if doing chess puzzles was actually fun for people who aren't autistic enough to like chess. I do recommend that you play without advanced edition at first because while it's not necessarily bad, it is of noticeably lower quality compared to the base game.
Was gonna give the chess comparison too, but was afraid he might be turned off by that
its barely mediocre at BEST.
Same for Fallout 76, before some idiot comes asking and wanting someone to go "dude its great they actually fixed the game now"
RogueliKes or rogueliTes? You want a traditional turn-based grid-based dungeon crawler, or just a game with permadeath?
nobody cares about this distinction besides pedantic nerds
Dum bichniga I'm asking him so I can give him better recommendations. What do I know if he wants a Hades or an ADOM?
moron. Theres a huge difference in how each genre plays. RogueLITES can be fricking anything from risk of rain to hades to eogue legacy where rogueLIKES have certain rules
I enjoy both really, so anything goes (love ToMe for example)
Some of these look fun, thanks
Interesting description, I'll give a try, thanks
I see, do you believe Final Fantasy XIV is a better alternative for an MMO? Or should I just go back to WoW?
>I enjoy both really, so anything goes (love ToMe for example)
For trad roguelikes - my favorite ever is
>Rogue's Tale.
Then for lites I could point to
>Wizard of Legend
These look pretty great, thanks!
Mind if I asked which ones you're actually going to check out or have already checked out (and what the outcome might have been)? Just wanna have some feedback.
>suggest you keep and eye out for the updates then
I'll assume it's not ready yet, then.
MMOs are on life support, unless you are hardcore addicted just let them go
XIV is like a visual novel where you happen to see other people occasionally, its not what most people are looking for in an MMO where you group up and hang out from level 1 to 100 even though i had fun with it for a little bit
maybe try old school runescape just because its so radically different from the other extant big mmos but its very grindy and the simple gameplay and graphics will filter a lot of people
>newbies wasting time
except morons keep making new ones, not even with fake items, real carts that they just happen to post over and over again to get (You)s
Soullash 2, adom, stoneshard, coves of qud, df adventure mode, quasimorph, keeper rl, low magic age, neo scavanger,
Not him but have you played all of those? Therr are several of those titles I'm curious about.
>Yes, but there is a difference between digging up an old update post on steam and giving out some general impressions of a game
He should be turned off by that, but the thing about ItB is it somehow makes chess fun. I hate the absolute shit out of puzzle games but ItB is an exception. I'm trying to frame it as a testament to the game's quality that it managed to make chess feel fun.
I have played most of them (soulash 2 + quasimorph only picked up recently), which ones intrest you?
Wanted to know if Soulash2 is anywhere near passable right now. Gay dev overprices his shitty roguelikes, SA1 was trash, this one looks like it's got a TON of potential, but it's EA and the demo was trash too. Just wanna know if it's good. Also if he still has those horrendous portraits instead of comfy creature sprites like the first one did.
>KeeperRL
Another one I wanted to know about. Just in general. Worth the money?
>Stoneshard
Still no character creator I presume?
Precisely. I just want more of act 1. Act 1 is the real game.
>DLC for Dead Cells
My condolences
>Yeah yeah, I am sorry for being such a grumpy guy. You didnt ask to be spoonfed and you even said thanks so there was no need for me to be like that
It ite, lad, you still did more for me regarding Inscryption than I was hoping for at that point.
>Soulash2
i suggest you keep and eye out for the updates then
>keeper rl
It tries to be kinda like dwarf fortress but more manageable without using df hack scrips. Best way i seen this game get describes is rimworld + dungeon keeper

Fair enough. I kind of like chess puzzles
> But I was too tired of asking questions and you seemed like a good sport trying to help, so I just thanked you and called it a day.
Yeah yeah, I am sorry for being such a grumpy guy. You didnt ask to be spoonfed and you even said thanks so there was no need for me to be like that
Drop Necrom. Cut your losses. Stop playing ESO. Hack devs hack balancing hack world design
is farcry 6 any good?
Guild Wars is playable totally solo, right?
A little over 12 bucks for hundreds of hours of game seems pretty nice.
These are all in the maybe pile.
lmao, Borderlands
I played it for the first time last year and I found it pretty fun.
Why get bl1 goty? Isnt the collection cheaper? Amd you get more bl games
Why get collections when 2 and its derivatives are trash? 1 is the only game worth buying unless complete 3 will be on 75+% discount
Pretty sure the bl1+2+prequal collection goes on slae for like 5 bucks
Got Vampire the Masquerade and trying to get it to run on my deck with the patch.
I'm following a tutorial on YouTube but if anyone has any experience with doing this and has any tips I'd greatly appreciate it.
didn't work? I'm gonna say something controversial here but try the True Patch Gold, I played it with that on and am having zero issues so far aside from only having the basics of the basics, like the patch doesn't add anything, it just fixes the issues. I'm gonna dig out my deck and post a screen.
Here’s my proof anon, excuse the nude bodies, it’s part of a different mod.
File didn’t attach
Any games like lunacid/dread delusion?
are tropico 5 or 6 worth checking out on sale? i played 4 a lot years ago.
Is Riftbreaker any good?
>Buy a game on fanatical and get a free "mystery" game in addition
>Click on reveal and it's ALIEN RAMPAGE, a DOS game from 1996
Holy crap
t-thanks…
>ALIEN RAMPAGE
Hey, it's worth like a dollar
https://store.steampowered.com/app/516440/Alien_Rampage/
Considering the huge amount of trash in those mystery games, I'd say you've won the lottery.
I want japanese games
silly girls
cute girls
girls
anime girls
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
deliver them!!
Any games like Hollow Knight? Not just Metroidvania, but some nice areas and some exploration to do. Played both Ori games already. I would call them similiar even if Ori doesnt have that much combat
What are some good PVE valheim like games and or Diablo like games on steam that are worth picking up?
For arpg part you can go with last epoch, grim dawn, titan quest, torchlight 2
Grim Dawn has a lot of build variety and the combat feels nice and crunchy.
these any good?
never heard of them /10
Frick yes, I've been shilling them every steam sale thread.
Ace Combat 7 is 84% off
Appreciated.
Have you ever played an Ace Combat game before? those games aren't for everyone
I played them way back in the day. Think the last one was either 4 or 5. I'm willing to take a chance for only ten dollars to see if I still like it or not.
Any cool exploration games?
INFRA
sell me on infra
It is kino. You are an engineer on a mission and alot of stuff go to shit. You have to fix and document building violations. You travel through the city. It is fun
>I am pretty sure that is not meant to look like that
Northen Journey. Outer Wilds. Infra. Subnautica
Scanner Sombre
I'll never forgive Paradox for being such stingy fricking israelites that every single god damn strategy game now price gouges the shit out of the player.
Why the frick do I need to spend 30 dollars on a fricking indie strategy game?
the amount of normalgays here is genuinely oustanding. borderlands, mass effect, days gone, open world shit, etc. saying Ganker or Ganker is some underground place now is insane
Nobody ever says that though
people in thread on Ganker are always shitting on reddit people or twitter for their taste but theyre all the same people playing the same games. or they arent playing games and just get dopamine from posts like mine or newbies getting upset and wrapped in a dumb argument. its crazy to me i used to do this shit daily lol
dopamine addiction just like social media
it wasnt until i started learning an instrument and music at 26 that i found out you can just get dopamine from doing stuff on your own.
Man, I wish playing the gutar gave me as much dopamine as shitposting on Ganker
i got a piano and a few books. doing it this way is fun but im at the very start. im guessing you already have lots of experience
>except morons keep making new ones, not even with fake items, real carts that they just happen to post over and over again to get (You)s
if something is a guarnteed reply they will post it for their dopamine. its not a hard concept to get
No really lots, but I took classes when I was younger and stopped after a while. Whenever I play now it just makes me remember how I shouldn't have quit and how good I could've become instead.
>4cucks
>being considered underground in 2023
get a load of this dumb Black person lmao
maybe try getting TOPPED?
Recently Ganker started shilling the frick out of Days Gone because the story revolves around a white man and his marriage with a white woman so they're using it as a weapon against the current big budget Sony games.
It's pretty funny when you think about it.
it's not the taste
it's the fact those games are positively ancient
Anybody played Mortie College? Seems pretty good imo
Devil Daggers any good? Thinking of gifting it to my bro
Frick yeah.
someone bake
My coomer brain thought she was bending over showing us her ass on top of the dinosaur
what game is this and can i catch more dinosaurs and can i feed them oversized apples and meats and
>not a single interesting game posted in the thread, only shit everyone owns already or low effort trolling
I would suggest games but my tastes range between mundane and shit.
A bent shekel says you haven't even taken a look at all the games I listed in
>basedmods
Is that lovely bastard still kicking?
>decades old shit like convoy and garbage like boneraiser and dome keeper
no your post is literally what i said
I'm sorry you have such shit taste, lad.
There needs to be a database where you can look up a game to find if its full of woke moralizing or not.
just find the dev's twatter
It's gotta be made by one autist with a pure vision so trannies won't sneak in and corrupt the whole project. Is it gonna be you? If not then go find someone. We got lucky this year and got a homie to set up Based mods and save us, for something niche like yours I doubt we'll get another autist like that, so you gotta do it mang.
just read negative metacritic user reviews
