I played the demo on friday, then the 1.0 game, and maybe it's my imagination, but something feels off with 1.0. Like getting the kind of nausea or headaches I usually get with Bloodborne.
How long does it take to unlock the rabbit outfit since you start playing? I'm tempted to update once I have seen the original outfits. If the savegame keeps being compatible with 1.0, I can always delete and reinstall offline with the disc later.
When it comes to latency, I'm more worried about about playing on a 2013 TV that probably has around 60-80ms of latency than Bluetooth (I'm replacing it this year).

Story question: Why did Adam go to the nursery instead of Xion when Raven was attacking it? Did he figure Raven was having a woman moment and it's too late to stop the bloodshed via bike (or just didn't care as maybe he wanted Eve to grow attached to Xion and once that was said and done he didn't need it intact anymore), so he'd just leave things be as he may have hoped that Eve would've finished up in space and gone back to Xion to deal with her?
Not sure, especially when he gives Lily the Hyper Core at the end to save the people of Xion, he really cared about helping them. On top of that if you don't take his hand he vaporizes Lily's mecha frame, how did he expect her to carry the Hyper Core back then? It would have made more sense if he was stopped by Raven while travelling on his way back to save Xion and forced to retreat and recover/hope Eve could stop her in his stead. At least that's how I would headcanon it. But his bike was left in a linear corridor path probably for gameplay reasons. They should have kept the nursery gate in the Wasteland area and just made it unopenable. until the ending
Perhaps Adam gave them the hyper tube to try convince them he means well, though if they're not willing to work with him they're a threat and there'd be no reason to help Xion recover if they're not going to be led by someone willing to cooperate.
In a way it'd make sense that he can't stop Raven as while she's occupying the body of an alpha, she doesn't have the core herself so she's probably uncontrollable. He'd probably only be able to subdue her using his elder powers which risks exposing him to Xion before he can explain himself to Eve which isn't ideal.
I agree that they should've made the passage to the nursery reachable as the gate's locked without the master core's formed, could've made it run off the map for extra suspense.

Story question: Why did Adam go to the nursery instead of Xion when Raven was attacking it? Did he figure Raven was having a woman moment and it's too late to stop the bloodshed via bike (or just didn't care as maybe he wanted Eve to grow attached to Xion and once that was said and done he didn't need it intact anymore), so he'd just leave things be as he may have hoped that Eve would've finished up in space and gone back to Xion to deal with her?
Not sure, especially when he gives Lily the Hyper Core at the end to save the people of Xion, he really cared about helping them. On top of that if you don't take his hand he vaporizes Lily's mecha frame, how did he expect her to carry the Hyper Core back then?
It would have made more sense if he was stopped by Raven while travelling on his way back to save Xion and forced to retreat and recover/hope Eve could stop her in his stead. At least that's how I would headcanon it. But his bike was left in a linear corridor path probably for gameplay reasons. They should have kept the nursery gate in the Wasteland area and just made it unopenable. until the ending
Perhaps Adam gave them the hyper tube to try convince them he means well, though if they're not willing to work with him they're a threat and there'd be no reason to help Xion recover if they're not going to be led by someone willing to cooperate.
In a way it'd make sense that he can't stop Raven as while she's occupying the body of an alpha, she doesn't have the core herself so she's probably uncontrollable. He'd probably only be able to subdue her using his elder powers which risks exposing him to Xion before he can explain himself to Eve which isn't ideal.
I agree that they should've made the passage to the nursery reachable as the gate's locked without the master core's formed, could've made it run off the map for extra suspense.

Balanced if you have vrr on your monitor or tv, performance if you do not have vrr. Digital Foundry made a video on it. Graphical you do not use at all.
There's no reason not to use balanced. It's basically 60fps and looks considerably better.

Absolutely. Could have been a great classic, but instead relegated to just kind of okay because it's entire identity is "I want to be Nier, but only completely superficially". Actual writing effort could have been a huge boost.

A few costumes are toned down, which sucks, but the game is still heavily marketed as "that hack and slash game with the great breasts and ass" and the dumb execs who asked to tone the game down because they were worried they took the sexualization too far. The game failing to sell would just signal to them that this kind of thing doesn't sell in a modern market, they absolutely will not associate the failure with their own decisions.

I'm surprised by the amount of exploration in this game, I discovered a ton of hidden stuff just in the Wastelands alone. None of it spelled out for you either like a ubisoft checklist game
I didnt enjoy exploring the wasteland all that much.
The actual levels where you don't have access to a map were more enjoyable to me.
Plus there was so much backtracking with later upgrades or simply blocking you until you accept a quest.
Some later crates I didn't even bother opening after finding the passcodes for them unless they were somewhat en route to what I was actually going to do.
Eve is forced. 2B was naturally cool and accepted. Eve's dumb face can get blade fricked.
