If I had to guess they just patched it across regions so they didn't have to release separate SKU's across regions and have to go through the patch approval process Sony has twice per update. If I had to guess they just patched it across regions so they didn't have to release separate SKU's across regions and have to go through the patch approval process Sony has twice per update. From what I hear it can be somewhat of an annoying process, so they could have done it so save themselves the headache and assumed it wouldn't cause much of a stir.

As far as I'm seeing this is a gray area, on one hand, the game promised to be uncensored but quietly release a censorship patch even if it's small it doesn't matter, they promised. making it a marketing lie, but on the other, xittergays and journalists seethe at the mere sight of any attractive female design, so they'll make sure the game flops to prove a point of "SEE!? GAMES LIKE THIS DON'T SELL". Now, for the average culture-war cultist they have two options: 1.- Refund the game and prove the side they don't like right. or 2.- Keep promoting the game but the other side will find ways to claim that censorship is justified, after all, even with the patch the game sold well. I wouldn't like to be in their shoes, to be honest. But at the end of the day, either side will mock your likes and appearance.
I'll choose the option that lets me save my 70 dollars and principles, if they want it that bad, they could revert the censorship, if not, I'll wait till the inevitable PC release, who cares what twittards/redditards think.
