>Nobody can stop this Juggernaut
Nope. Rebirth will win GOTY almost by default. There just aren't any hard hitters coming out that could challenge it for the crown.
Re:Fantazio looking pretty good from the most recent gameplay trailer.
I've seen way too many people having buyers remorse after the honeymoon period is over for DD2. Tbh, I think DD2 is fricked by its own hype. I don't think Itsuno knows how to design sidequests structure nor write a decent story. The "controversy" and the mixed performance didn't help either. Meanwhile, I think FFVIIRebirth gets slightly overrated because of the reaction towards FFXVI (no party members, no rpg, no fun exploration, no gameplay variety). FFVII Rebirth plugged a lot of XVI's holes but with a weaker narrative consistency.
>How much money did sony pay for the exclusivity
Probably a lot since Sony literally has no 1st party games this year. Like at all. Not one. >and do you think we'll get the pc port immediqtely after the exclusivity deal ends?
If Square isn't moronic, yes. The problem here though is that Square is quite often very, very, moronic.
>Sony lengthened the exclusivity deal for Remake two or three times and they might do it for Rebirth as well, since it is a major GOTY contender.
Yeah good point. Those contracts often do have options for extensions written into them. I imagine there's probably something written in there (or a separate contract) for PS+ extra/premium as well so they might want to try to extend their exclusivity deal as well to try to generate subs.
It sucks but it's kind of a don't hate the player hate the game situation. I really wish there was a PC version out already but it is what it is. Hopefullt when the PC version does drop Square offers the same deal where it comes with Remake Intergrade as well but I doubt it because they're buttholew.
They've extended excl deal for the DLC and forced PS5 integration to help sell some PS5s. I don't think they'll do another deal like that. It depends on how fast can they port and test it. Since they basically used the same engine, it could be pretty fast.
>I don't think they'll do another deal like that.
Who, Sony or Square? Because I could see Square doing it. It's pretty obvious they intend to sell this Remake trilogy to everyone 8 different times if they can.
Oh okay. I don't know, under normal circumstances I could see Sony passing but right now they literally have no games for 2024. Maybe if they weren't shit at planning and didn't allow their 1st party studios to make one game a decade their decision making would be different but that's where they're at right now. It's pretty obvious their first party output went to shit under Jim Ryan so they may need help from their 3rd party partners to carry the brand for awhile.

Wait, seriously? Nothing at all? Tlou2 was like 4 or 5 years ago right? Whats Naughty Dogs doing? Insomniac just released Spiderman 2 last year, I can understand that. Santa Monico? GoW2 was like 2022 game right?

Seriously. Sony isn't going to have a single first party game in 2024. And yeah Naughty Dog has done precisely nothing since tLoU2. Bend Studio? Nothing since Days Gone. What has we seen from Sucker Punch? Nothing since Ghost of Tshushima.
Sony's 1st party situation is a fricking mess. That's why they're throwing out third part exclusive deals (FF7Rb, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin) right and left.

I'm going to play Stellar Blade, so I'll see, but yeah right now Rebirth is GOTY. I fully expected DD2 to be a contender and then unfortunately it came out like a wet fart.
>stellar blade
lol did anyone think that game could surpass rebirth? The demo was not impressive. It gets headlines because of the nice butt the main girl has
barry is ruined by the fact that his baby is a renamed half finished game that had a 10 year development time that still required 5 dlc episodes to finish the “story”, that you can literally hold down circle to win.
helldivers already has it beat
no one cares about this shit as indicated by the fact that no one bought it

Sales don't matter, only scores and Rebirth is much better rated.

How much money did sony pay for the exclusivity and do you think we'll get the pc port immediqtely after the exclusivity deal ends?
Game was literally ignored in favor of DD2

No.
The release of Remake from PS4 to PC was 20 months.
>The release of Remake from PS4 to PC was 20 months.
which proved to be a terrible idea
Was it that long? Or are you ignoring the EGS release?
Eh, the port isn't that good. People who're getting stutters have to force the game to run in DX11 mode.

The exclusivity deal is currently only 3 months, so the Rebirth could potentially be on PC in less than 2 months, but don't hold your breath.
Sony lengthened the exclusivity deal for Remake two or three times and they might do it for Rebirth as well, since it is a major GOTY contender.

Sony. Unless Sony is willing to fork out some millions more, I don't think they'll extend the exclusivity period. They didn't do it for XVI.

What about palworld
Most people havent played It .
Most PS5 users havent played It either

are people forgetting hell divers came out this year?
It's got an 84 meta score, still has got connection and quality of life issues.
>muh live service game will win GOTY
Ok timmy its time for bed you got school tomorrow
>Part 2 of 3 part Remake
>GOTY
grim times
>2m sales
>padded metacritic score

Barry really ruined some of you people.
barry is ruined by the fact that his baby is a renamed half finished game that had a 10 year development time that still required 5 dlc episodes to finish the “story”, that you can literally hold down circle to win.
It's amusing but it appears that Sony games are poised to claim all the awards this year. FF7, Stellar, and Helldivers will sweep away everything.
Still early enough in the year that Xbox could steal GOTY with literally anything.
With what? Hellblade? Does XBox even have anything else to release this year?
>hellblade
No 8 hour walking simulator is going to steal GotY from rebirth.
why are remake fans so insecure?
>potential GOTY has one of the worst ending I ever seen
Grim
Fun game, easy win no doubt unless some indie troon darling game gets push by the media.
>GOTY
>Average American family
Is America not the greatest nation?
You even get some American dance!
>high intensity Black peacetime activities
Dragon dogshit 2 BTFO
Stellar trash BTFO
Ganker BTFO
FF7R reign supreme
DD2 over shadowed this. Paper Mario TTYD will also review higher and sale better.
Go back to your Fire Emblem general tendie
You really gonna seeth that hard when TTYD overshadow it next?
>he thinks tendie sales matter
unless a dark horse comes out of nowhere and is a literal 10/10 for both critics and players, nothing is taking the GOTY from FF7R
helldivers already has it beat
no one cares about this shit as indicated by the fact that no one bought it
