As an actual fightinggay it never fails to make me laugh at how many console cucks are ass ravaged that no one wants to play their ports.
Stay mad cuck, I'll stick to the games people actually enjoy and play. Maybe stop being a baby and realize that those things that everyone supposedly "hate" is what people enjoy about the game.
>I'll stick to the games people actually enjoy and play.
Not a fgcgay, but "because everyone else does" has never been a valid justification for anything.
No, but be an autistic gay on Ganker to try and convince everyone single handedly to switch to (game I want people to play instead) has never been a valid strategy yet people try it constantly. No one has ever changed their mind because someone spammed them with (you)s

That's literally the only reason people still play vanilla Alpha 3. Because "everyone else" plays it (in reality the game has lost 90%+ of its historic players, with v-ism dominance and crouch canceling playing a large part in that). There's no actual argument in favor of the game being superior to play. Since fightcade supports Dreamcast games now there are no reasons to stick to the CPS2 version other than appeal to popularity and resistance to change.

But they do, and you arent going to drag the crowd, one person at a time through /vr/ whinging, to play the version you want. That's the point I'm making, it's outisde of your control.

It's like CVS2, the game was fixed on Xbox and Gamecube, but no one plays those versions.

It will be quite interesting if to see how that game gets re-released (if it ever does).

You are moronic, top tiers are even stronger without the existence of roll cancels. So many mid and lower characters can have a niche thanks to roll cancels, without them top tiers dominate even harder then they already do.

Don't care.
Ban Sagat and Blanka if needed.
Roll canceling is moronic.
Alpha 3 tards playing vanilla A3 after Capcom released multiple revisions and upgrades to the game is like if SF2 players rejected everything after World Warrior.
The arguments about access to the later revisions don't hold up in 2023.
No, it isn't.
This is the same kind of thing where people claim 2nd-tier characters are actually good but those characters almost never win tournaments. They get like fifth to seventh place being played by a guy who has absolutely mastered that character.
So when some guy gets 3rd in an A3 tourney with X-ism Dhalsim that does not make X-ism "strong". It means a guy who would probably do much better with a different ism or character managed to overcome huge obstacles to get a high placing. And then still lost the tournament.
The theme of the FGC is "evolution".
They're always crowing about this adapt or die mindset.
But when it came to Alpha 3 the community failed the game because they wouldn't evolve and move on from the arcade standard even when everyone else was.
Alpha 3 organizers should have en masse adopted the newer revisions and told the whiners to git gud and adapt to the newer games and buy the systems they were running on but other games like CVS2 came along and drew attention away.
Alpha 3 players should have campaigned for a more perfect version of their game on newer and easily accessible platforms.
But they didn't, and the 30th anniversary collection doesn't include anything other than the vanilla arcade game.
Alpha 3 should have remained as popular as Super Turbo and Third Strike.
It should have been an evergreen game.
But it isn't.
eh.
Alpha 3 on PS1 was my first Street Fighter game and it had so many extra characters and unlockables that it made the arcade version really lacking in comparison (outside of load times). World Tour mode on PS1 is so much better than on Dreamcast and PSP. I remember when the Saturn port was still $70. Should have bought it I guess. I'm happy having it on PS1 and PSP.
That's Edayan, I got confused too where I thought it was Bengus, I have a Capcom artbook which is how I even know their names. Bengus also went by CMRK and Gouda Cheese.
I've goofed up then, I never got much into the first MvC1, I have the artbook for MvC2, the art looks completely different, he kept reinventing himself.
Of all the games I dove into on Fightcade, this one was probably the most fun. The scene is good at the game but also chill, but ALSO not afraid to teach you the hard way and let loose the V-ism or CCs (which are especially wack in Chun-Li's case since she doesn't even need V-ism to do them, which I may have coped with poorly and gotten salty to the point of embarrassing myself--yet the guy was still cool about it). I took to V-ism myself but mainly stuck to day 1 stuff, never got into the habit of labbing for Fightcade in general unless I already had a home port downloaded on the side; I mainly liked it for how close normals become command normals, especially fun for Sakura's back-fierce.
I just played Ingrid for the first time after years of not caring. I actually really liked her. She has some good pokes and all of her moves are really fun to use.
She's basically Capcom's ripoff of Asamiya Athena so if you've played her before you'll feel right at home.
I've enjoyed my time with Double Upper so far a lot more than I thought I would. I wasn't a big fan of Alpha when I played it on PS2 but the extra modes and characters on the PSP version added a lot of fun to the game for me.
I play Alpha 3 because it has better characters than 2, and do not play SFIII at all because it's only for autists who jerk off a meme moment in FGC history that I don't care about and is in the past
I think 3rd strike just feels the worst of the 2d sf. the sprites are feel a lot bigger and like there's way less room. everyone is fast and has a dash so you're always in eachother face. its like a bad 2d tekken.

but it's so pretty
all this autism in the thread, and i enjoy alpha 3 just for it's music. best themes in all fighting games ever, alpha 2 music is okay but it gives me 80's vibes, alpha 3 is pure 90's techno energy

You need to stop playing life with AUT-ISM.
Game is whack.
It has a completely different engine from SFZ2. It's the actual beginning of nu-SF, not New Generation.

It's strong if your fundamentals are half decent.
No, it isn't.

Sure schizo.
>Best version of this game is stuck on PSP
God dammit
Honest to god such a blunder that Alpha 3 Max has never been ported off of the PSP

Interesting, I never heard of this. What are the main differences?
>he didn't get a PSP specifically to play Alpha 3 Max and SNES roms in the 2000s
wtf
>everyone supposedly loves alpha 3
>no one is ever playing it
many such cases!
You can tell if someone actually plays fighting games by asking if they like Alpha 2 or Alpha 3 more.
I’ve only played 3 because the number was bigger is 2 really that much better?
It's a very different game.
And Alpha 2 Gold is a different game than vanilla Alpha 2. Much closer to Super Turbo, which is why I like it more.
It's way more balanced and doesn't have infinites, yeah.
Bengus art in his prime.
For me, his MvC and Marvel art is the best
Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats large butts with tones thighs and large vegana bones. God bless all visual artists that know this truth.
That's Edayan, I got confused too where I thought it was Bengus, I have a Capcom artbook which is how I even know their names. Bengus also went by CMRK and Gouda Cheese.
Edayan didn't work on the MvC art
I've goofed up then, I never got much into the first MvC1, I have the artbook for MvC2, the art looks completely different, he kept reinventing himself.
I didn't like the ism system. If I were to play this game more often, I'm sticking to A

I don't play Third Strike because of Evo Moment 37, I play it because of Chun-li's thighs.
Evo Moment 37 is Ken slapping her ass and thighs
I think 3rd strike just feels the worst of the 2d sf. the sprites are feel a lot bigger and like there's way less room. everyone is fast and has a dash so you're always in eachother face. its like a bad 2d tekken.
mvc chun li sprite is best chun li sprite

hmm you're not wrong. 3rd strike chun is sexo. a3 and mvc are just really cute tho.
Chun-li has lot of very sexy animation frames in ST when you look beyond her standing animation.
I've loved this game since I was a kid, even though I've always been terrible at fighting games aside from a few exceptions.
I like playing Cammy and Karin.

Vega and Rolento are my mains.
