Maybe that but there isn't a way to safe spot those frickers, probably going to do melee with my abyssal whip and prayer flick the entire time. I'm around half way done but i've been forced to leave once already because prayer flicking for so long means i sometimes frick up.
antifire potion and anti dragon shield is 100% protection at a distance, they can't damage you at all if you mage like that as they can only use dragonbreath as a ranged attack

If you use Slayer Dart, know its damage scales with your magic level, and it gets bonuses if you use an enchanted slayer staff, which requires 55 slayer and 75 magic. Also whip is a slash weapon, if you really want to melee you'd be better off with a stab weapon like a d sword. Iirc metal drag slash def is higher by 20-30 bonus so you'd be very inaccurate. Dunno what your budget is so I'm listing cheap options.
Don't worry about it i always have some money stashed around, i should get around and work towards 75 magic for a slayer staff. My levels are a bit all over the place, i'm working to get every stat ready so i can do every quest i want without worrying about skilling.

Oh, I call Magic Dart Slayer Dart because you should only use it on Slayer tasks, I forgot that's not the actual name of the spell. My bad if I confused you.
Iron dragons will never close the gap on you, so if you take magic and some antifire pots you can stay without taking any damage as long as one doesn't manage to aggro you while you're right next to them. They're quite weak to magic as well so it'll be you best bet, way better than a whip at least.

I would love a real runescape 2 made with modern day tech/engines/etc. I think they could really make something good if they tried. Not that OSRS is bad, just that it would be interesting to see what they could come up with using new age tech.

What new tech are you thinking of? I'm not convinced that Runescape would be any better with improved graphics or a higher tick rate or different control scheme. If it's anything like Evolution of Combat or Runescape 3, improvements would be to the game's detriment.
