Asuka and Ikaruga are the best to play as. Their speed and animations work together for the best Senran experience. Just look at Asuka’s cute little acrobatics, and Ikaruga’s exaggerated anime swordplay. The controls of the games tend to also work better with fast characters. Is there any mod for Senran Kagura that makes it a bit more execution heavy? I'm not asking for DMC5 levels of CUHRAZY but most of the games have musou-tier combo routes, or at least which one is the hardest one? I only played Shinobi Versus and Estival Versus
EV's the hardest because of the terrible character balancing and massive nerfs to everything while adding some of the most annoying changes to already existing characters. Kat and Big Yo went from really fun to unusable within one game due to the charge attack change, and Haruka is so unbelievably weak that even in Frantic with her NA5 at the max level she can't even kill most basic mooks.
You're asking for way too much from this series though, they want you to level to max level, go Frantic, and spam NAs for combat, not juggle.

Characters are just skins and there's only like eight or nine guns with several of them not even being really viable. With the right card setup the AI can also play the game for you.
Playing EV right now and some characters are just horrible. You can pick homura and obliterate everything and then you pick the flat girl and she barely deals any damage.
