Playing Classic? Thumbs up.
Playing Modern? Hey thumbs up.
Playing Dynamic? Don't know how you did it but thumbs up.
Quit after you lose one? Alright, but thumbs up.
One and done me? One thumb.
Two wins in a row, either way? Two thumbs, either way.
Run the whole set? That's three thumbs minimum.
Instant rematch? Hang on, gotta thumb you up first.
Wait two seconds before rematching? Might have given me a thumb, have one too.
Teabag or taunt because you got one up on me? Haha good play, here's a thumb.
Mirror match? Learning experience. Have a thumb.
Character I hate? Learning experience. Thumb for you.
Terrible wi-fi connection? Sure, here's a thumb. I'll even bear it and rematch you.
Disconnect just as I was about to win? I'm going to find you and give you a thumbs up.
I'm shit enough that special moves take actual effort for me, (eg. I can barely do cancels into supers). So I never thumbs up modern out of spite and pettiness. Or I forget.
I can't think of a more successful rework of a classic fighting game character than Deejay in 6. He's always felt like the least-fondly remembered SF2 character, only getting into Alpha with 3 Upper, being garbage throughout SF4, not even being in V, and now he's one of the most all-around fun and stylish characters.
every player i see with this title on is fricking terrible and a guaranteed free win, which begs the question, how the FRICK did they get it in the first place
I got placed into rookie and got a near perfect winstreak up to silver so like 15 or so matches. The placements are weird and there's a mix of genuinely very new to fighting games players in gold and lower.
How did they get away with somehow making Dee Jay more of a stereotype than his original SF2 version?
Stereotypes are okay if people like them, like the stereotypical Americans in Japanese media or Mexico being all sombreros and parties.
its because of how it works there was a huge influx of players that a lot of would be silvers and bronzes got bumped to gold and once your there you can't go back down. Then other players that would be in silver and gold usually beat them and get placed in diamond and platinum (I placed in diamond immeditaly winning all 10 placement matches) plus they give you a little leeway if you already placed in platinum with one character the next character gets a little bonus they assume you just lost because this is a different character.
>Hard stuck Iron 4 for the past couple of hours as Guile >I have fought the same fricking Jamie 5 times now
I have only encountered Marisa twice, Manon once, Dhalism once, and have only ever fought Ken and Jamie 24/7.
Is "happy go lucky party loving Jamaican guy who is always happy" a stereotype? Either way, Dee Jay seems like he'd be a cool guy to hang out with if you have the stamina for constant beach parties and know how to dance.
Because he's a positive stereotype, the main issue people had with Dee Jay was that he bordered on being a racist caricature visually while having absolutely nothing going on otherwise
There is absolutely nothing anybody could hate about new Dee Jay
Have you met a Jamaican? They tend to be pretty jovial folks where dancing is a big part of their culture, and living in a tropical island, wearings shades, an open button up, and sandals seems pretty appropriate.
>watching Kumite because I missed it live >Dee Jay vs. Dhalsim >start off rooting for Dee Jay >Dee Jay can just fricking out-zone Dhalsim while still being able to rush him down at a second's notice
This doesn't feel right
Dhalsim is a setup character not a zoner. Fireballs in SF are meant to exist so you can advance not necessarily keep someone out. A real zoner would be like Dormammu in Marvel 3.
can you shut the frick up already and off yourself jesus christ you're obnoxious
on an unrelated note, ive been stuck in gold V for a while now because i keep running into players who arent braindead kens and make me realize i actually dont know shit about this game
i did however run into this juri multiple times and we took turns ending eachother's winstreaks, i got an actual rival in this game now
Im loving it
i dont get whats wrong with people playing a game the way they want to
not everybody who buys into this game wants to improve their ranking, a number of people greater than you might think just wants to frick around and have fun
>inspect opponent profile >70 hours in training >70 hours in ranked >"Let's do this" tag and "New Challenger" rank
You are a bad person if you do this and I do not like you.
This happened to me in low ranks with a Ryu and once I realized he was afk, just poked him once then let the time run out for him to have a chance to come back. Two perfects, but he deserved it.
SF6 is overall amazing, there's just a few things that are really egregious like a lot of things with JP, air blanka ball, manon in general, DJ and Juri's drive rush speed, spin knuckle, heavy flying headbutt (not a big deal offline but honda could use headbutt toned down and getting compensated elsewhere so he's not low tier offline and and infuriating online). Then on the lower end Lily and Gief need a little help.
Otherwise it's the best launch version of any SF by a fricking mile, genuinely nothing else compares as far as launch editions and if this is the worst the game will ever be then I'm excited for the future. Hopefully other series can get their shit together too like SNK not attempting to go bankrupt a second time and figuring out things like what netcode is.

Everything, you can't really react to it, it moves her almost full screen and it's meterless fireball punish.
We've been having daily SF6 threads hitting bump limit since the game is out, let's not even talk about the threads solely revolving around Cammy, Chun-Li and Juri lewds. The game is a success and no amount of transsexual screechings will change that. Now dilate yourself to death, you won't be missed, shazamtroony.
>Ryu keeps jumping in the air trying to do cross ups >just keep punishing him with anti airs and air throws >he just keeps doing it giving me free damage
this is in 3-4 plat
why
are some people just like incapable of understanding "huh, my method isn't working, maybe I should do a different approach for a while" even at higher levels
I've gotten away from throwing out a DI after a block string too many times and now I'm going against players that easily call me out on it. It's a bad habit that kicks in sometimes.
> huh, my method isn't working, maybe I should do a different approach for a while
i think this is genuinely harder to do than it sounds in the middle of a tense fight
as for the "why", its because those braindead jump-in cross ups are stupidly effective against people who have not learned how to counter them yet
i kept falling for them over and over until they just stopped working
>It didn't work the first 4 times >He'll never expect me to try a 5th time! >Okay he expected it. Doing it a 6th time would be crazy. Crazy enough to work!
Doesn't matter how high up you are on the totem pole, bad habits will persist because they were a good tactic that worked against everyone before just now.
I've seen championship boxing matches where a dude spent the entire fight whiffing jabs over a guy who just lowered his head a bit - barely even actively ducking - never once adjusting since his muscle memory was so tuned to punching at that height.
I've seen several Ryus who do the same thing, they jab you out just right so they can get the crossup jump and will keep doing it until they get a hit.
Several characters don't really have a good anti-air option that aims directly above when he jumps in that from close, he can clear them before they throw out a move and timing a crossup reversal can be volatile.
>this is in 3-4 plat
Ranks mean absolutely fricking nothing under Master in this stage of the game
Just go take a look at any posts online about reaching a certain rank, like 3 hours ago I saw someone say they ranked up from iron to plat within 17 days as a beginner
That tells you everything you need to know about how braindead easy ranked is, at the end of V you probably wouldn't see those kinds of players make it outside of base bronze but here they are in plat
>block every blanka player >the game becomes much enjoyable
Its not the ball, his entire kit was made to be the most annoying shit in the entire game, doesnt matter if you win or lose. People complain about honda and JP but i can make a gameplan for them unlike blanka
Dhalsim and honda are alright, i just hate the stupid ugly green braz*lian so much to the point im just gonna start wasting my time labbing against that fricking homosexual instead of ranking up
Blanka's command grab fricks me up hard. I'm already on edge with his balls, but that grab gets me fricked up. I know it's easily stuffed with any attack but it just comes out quick.
Maybe I should just play Blanka to have a better idea on how to deal with him.
Itd be funny how you only see Ganker complain about the alive fighting games like this and strive getting thread after thread for more than 2 weeks after release but then I realize how sad it is how everything else (that isn't Tekken and mbtl) got release threads that don't even last 4 days.
Remember when people here shilled dnf duel? just feel bad for them
>Remember when people here shilled dnf duel? just feel bad for them
As a DNF Duel enjoyer, do not pity me. Turn all of that energy into hopes and prayers that Nexon burns to the ground.
I've been hoping Nexon burns since I quit MMO's a long time ago so that hatred just isn't there anymore only curiosity to see what moronic shit they do next. I'm gonna hope things gets worse and worse so I can laugh just like I did with bbtag as the only two games I TRULY hate from the bottom of my heart. Going pretty well considering how everything posted regarding spectre made me sound like a hyena at the sheer incompetence.
I only hope for the best for 8ing, DNF is their first proper fighter since Marvel 3 and I just really like their shit. DNF plays like their mid-late 00s licensed fighters, it's a time capsule of game design coupled with quality HD visuals and good netcode, but of course the monkey paw is that the worst publisher on the planet is dropping the ball on a spinoff to their massively popular IP. 8ing will never again get to make a Bloody Roar or Vs Capcom game so I have to take what I can get, but I'm not playing their obvious shovelware "keep the lights on" games like that Zoids arena fighter on Switch.
>There's been steep decline with each remake entry
It's factually untrue that RE4make is doing worse than RE3make, it's already pushed more than half of 3make's lifetime sales in a few months, and for the record I checked what 3make did in the same timeframe and it's a full million less.
Sure thing, that might be the latest cope on troony island but here, on Earth, Capcom is at the top of their game and the fact that it makes subhumans like you seeth is the cherry on top.
That'd make me a doomposter larping as a capcom fan you moron. Can't even use a buzzword correctly. And you wonder why people are laughing at you. Again, bullet, head. You won't be missed.

Now you are just replying to people who are telling you to have a nice day. Hopefully the message is sinking in.
Depending on whats on the table i'll go for some wild hail mary or try to pull cheeky dirty setup just because. Not against honda holding down back though. That lily got baited hard by honda standing motion.
Yup. Sony D-Pads are one physical piece that slots into the casing rather than four separate buttons. This is totally fine if a little smoother for other genres but it leads to weird shit in fighters.
You’re not supposed to just throw it randomly, people that do that as a reaction check.
You can use to chain strong attacks that normally can’t be combo’s
>Get hit
Don't burst, it's too early in the round and I lock myself out of Active Flow >Get hit

I believe in you, brother.
I can't give you advice with Modern controls because I don't use them, but I feel like they're a crutch.
Blocking is underrated, by the way. Newbies often forget that
Base roster is lame 2bh and Season 1 looks okay, akuma and ed are nice.
Aki seems decent and rashid is rashid (they will 100% gutter his theme song)
But let's get real for a second, season 2 needs to be packing if they want to keep players around.
He's the face of blaming the game over himself (even more than LTG since he plays more than fighters) and specifically within the FGC he uses a single EVO win during its grassroot days in one of the mediocre SF2 console ports as grounds to believe his opinions on the genre are gospel.
it doesn't matter, they will all be lost to the sands of time while phil will remain, he is the only constant in our universe. civilizations will rise and fall around him while phil remains unfazed, steaming from his couch, forever steadfast in the face of the abyss while a quite "ACK ACK ACK" leaves his lips and the abyss acks back
Two of his problems: There's currently no use for level 2 super (in most cases) & denjin charge requires giving up valuable oki. Hashogeki also has limited use.
I think they should have level 2 super also grant him denjin charge (perhaps for an extended period of time like Juri/Blanka/Guile Level 2 supers). If not, I think heavy hashogeki should grant denjin charge.
>there is no use for level 2 super
the frick? it's the most efficient way to spend meter in the fricking game paired with donkey kick/EX denjin hasho.
ryu's entire problem is not getting in for free and having shit blockstrings that don't buy him enough respect to consistently get in and apply throw mixups. there's lots of ways to make him stronger. i think making denjin a meter that charges when you land dps, giving denjin charge a hitbox so you can use it as an ender and take oki immediately with the threat of the above EX hasho level 2, giving the projectile hitbox on hasho an actual hit so all hashos hit twice, making cr.mk 7 frames, significantly improving his punish and counter-hit game. there's lots of ways to take ryu from just being fine to actually being good.
as an addition to this, the void at 7 frames for ryu punishes is genuinely a severe problem in multiple matchups, and ken's significantly lower damage level 2 is still much better because it denies so much of the cast access to some obnoxious tools.
Denjin Charge can be shortened to about 29f and cashed out immediately if you press 6P or 4P to do Denjin Haouken/Hashogeki followup, a trick to use in neutral and stuff someone attempting to move in while you charge.
Add OD Denjin Charge which can stock in half the time so he can sneak it in neutral and not completely give up oki, maybe even integrate it in some combos
OD Denjin Hashogeki has a point of armor and can armor crush other armored moves including Drive Impact
Shin Denjin Hashogeki is automatically Charge level 3, so you can follow up with more damage
Yeah Denjin/Hashogeki definitely need some tweaks. I think this is the way to go, especially if charge could be integrated into combos like Juri can stock fuha mid-combo.
>About to rank up to platinum >A ryu player denies me by drive impacting during blockstrings and hoping i frick up >not only do i frick up but all my quarter circle inputs come out wrong >end up dropping tons of combos and wasting meter on ex moves that weren't supposed to come out
how did i frick up this hard
I want every Gief player to know that I don't like beating on you. You are like a huge teddy bear with stubby little attacks and most of you are honest. I am happy for you when you win.
I assume they undertuned him because they weren't sure how modern gief was going to play out. Maybe they'll remember to revisit him at some point. Maybe.
I don't mind working hard for my victories, or being patient. It is a good trade for being able to turn around the match with just one move. It's the price I pay for the life I choose.
Yeah but why
It's not used as often because you can only do it raw mostly unlike other characters
And then even as raw it's not the numero uno winner for raw DRs
Hell Juri not only has a better raw DR she's also more popular
DeeJay pressure and ablility to stick to you is much more annoying. Jury is arguably stronger, but unless she commits lv2 to play mahvel for 10 seconds it's more straightforward and bearable.
Ignore the other morons, Guile is number one and you have to be a moron to even imply otherwise
He's the only character that can even enforce pre 6 style zoning and fireball wars, you can cuck DJ out of his double fireball very easily
Define best. Guile's boom is a cornerstone of his kit with minimal recovery, Jury's combined with DR is skip neutral button, DJ has double fireball to win exchanges and fight back in burnout.
Ryu's is strong because the fireball mixup games and meaty fireballs
Luke's is strong because of it's speed and awkward ranges so it's the hardest to parry
Guile's is strong because of the recovery and mixups
>Marisa wins Kumite >Nonstop Marisa players online all day today >Majority of them are players who just switched to the character after watching her in the tourney >They have no idea what to do and just unga bunga through everything >It's far more effective than it should be because I still don't know the matchup and she can armor through everything
It was not a good day, bros... This is just a temporary bump for the character, right?
Just jump at her. For now it should suffice, once those frickers actually learn a thing or two, you'll have to learn the match. Bird did an excellent job promoting a character.
All attacks that have low hitboxes (not necessarily Lows, just closer to the ground) beat all of her armor except EX Scutum and Lv. 1 Super. Her anti-airs are terrible especially if you're close to her. Her pressure is loaded with gaps for the sake of frame trapping you but they all lose to EX reversals (and Phalanx loses to meterless DPs or any jumping attack at all). Thrust kick is always minus even when spaced properly, though the Heavy version is safe even up close. She cannot deal with multi-hit meaties without reading that you'll be doing them.
t. Marisa player hoping the posers that just pick whoever won the last major get chased away.
I fricking hate how tatsumaki looks in 6 and how it looked in 5 too
It's like he's supposed to be only spinning in place and not trying to kick anything
Depending on your goals. If you want to take 1 mil home, yeah, if you just want to enjoy the game - why the frick not? Collecting all the salt over counterpicks in long casual sets totally worth it.
If you're playing casually it's even harder. You're going to be forgetting a lot of basic shit trying to juggle 18 characters and the roster is only going to get bigger.
The game life cycle promising to be pretty long from where im standing. Slowly working through the characters is inevitable anyway, cause you'll have to get the basics down with every character eventually. Not like you have to be absolutely competent with everyone, being able to fool around and fish for juicy combos is more than enough

You'll learn fundamentals faster sticking with 1-2 characters. Literally all you're doing by trying to play everything is slowing your progress.

Is there a reason to rush things? Enjoying the different characters at all the stages of progression is experience too, not a bad one in my opinion. After a while you'll hit the initial benchmark of mediocrity anyway, might as well stretch it and have deeper foundation for progression. There's literally YEARS ahead.

Trying to play everyone at once IS rushing things. You're spending more time relearning a character every time you switch instead of just sticking with one so you don't have to think about every single character specific thing and can just focus on the fundamentals. It's like learning to play guitar by only copying random shitty tabs online.

Spending more time is not rushing things. Relearning things only serves to bolster the foundation of that knowledge

>at once
Not what im suggesting, just learn something about the character, play around with it a bit, watch where it lands you, switch it up, repeat, make some adjustments and keep playing. The core game itself is not all that difficult to grasp. You move around, you hit things, you block things. You win some you lose some. Overconcentrating on tangible results is not productive if the goal is to have fun.

>Luke >not S
Crazy. Also Jamie being on the same tier as Guile, and Kimberly being under both seems wrong but I could imagine a world where Kimberlies neutral skips get figured out and she's actually shit.
I just climbed out of silver with a good winstreak, give me your strength to make it to plat bros
I gotta be honest I started in rookie and climbing up none of the ranks so far actually feel any different, aside from the occasional dude who actually knows his combos and shit
Give me Dmitri any day over one hit kill tomboy. Seth also could do Demon Cradle for some crazy reason.
its because of how it works there was a huge influx of players that a lot of would be silvers and bronzes got bumped to gold and once your there you can't go back down.
You can rank down from gold why keep spreading this lie?
I feel like this game is going to lose a lot of steam during Season 1. Vanilla rosters are already small, and SF6 is no different. They're only planning on adding 4 new characters between now and the END of 2024, and I don't think two SFV characters and a brand new character are going to keep people playing. Akuma is a fan favorite and certainly will, but overall, I think Capcom made some very questionable decisions for Season 1
Starting to hate kimberly players. They are either perfect at cancel light attacks into drive pressure or they run away as soon as the match starts and play the whole set like Blanka.
Genuinely the only option Kim has other than DR low at the start of the match is walking back or carefully walking forward fishing for parry. Most of her stuff is fake
Just started online and getting thrashed in rookie as Juri
I played the campaign and a bunch of the trials but it didn't really teach much beyond how the moves work. Where do I go from here?
Go into casuals or ranked, and rematch until the other guy quits. Then go watch your replays of those fights and criticize yourself. Go on youtube and see how pros play your character. Rinse and repeat.
Watch a combo guide to learn super basic practical combos AKA combo 1 for light confirm combo 2 for DI/punish combo, combo into super etc.
There should also be guides for Juri in general, but you can just watch top level play and see what buttons they are using. Where are they pressing buttons, which buttons, what ranges and etc.
A lot of it is just practice and trial/error and catching yourself while you play. When you lose a round just think "hey what am I getting opened up by? Am I getting poked? Fireballs? Are they jumping? DI? Dash?" and just figuring out what to do about it. Same thing when you win a round "what am I doing that works? what is my opponent doing that is getting them hit? etc"
Press more buttons and get the feel for them. Play around with specials. Do bunch of supers in bunch of situations. Inspect fse potential. Look up DR application, learn some combos. Play more matches. Check replays. Lab out your pain points and errors. Rinse@repeat.

Cheers. Keen to keep at it at least because the character is super fun to play.
>playing against level 7 cpus and exclusively counter DIing into a combo combo or grabbing >mfw finally starting to win matches
i AM going online and i AM going to counter Black folk spamming this annoying fricking mechanic
played against a juri that spammed random DI during her shit or on wakeup, started doing the same thing and it turns out the fricker cant react to it properly either
won 2-1
the risk/reward at most levels of play is insanely lopsided so right now a lot of people just do it on offense and just hold that shit when you use it against them, it'll be a long time before the average online player will be able to reliably react to DI
the only player i'll respect for using DI is someone who can reliably counter it
I don't think DI is a very good mechanic. It just seems entirely solvable and reactable at a certain point to where there's no point in even using it. I don't see it used in high level play because it's just asking for your opponent to do 30% to you.
Should have watched CEO then. With time DI will start to be more of a conditioning tool than anything else. You could also compare it to jump ins, if you're predictable enough, a good player will anti air you 100% of the time, proving that you're jumping at the moment they expect you to
After certain point the game stops being reactive and played around information and decisions. Basically things that happen on screen are only tangentially related to whats actually happening and testing someones reaction could easily bring results.
Honestly that would be sick. I really liked Necalli's playstyle, shame about the rest of him.
Also he was so frick ugly with all that hair. The physics guaranteed that it ALWAYS looked like shit unless he got his VTrigger. They definitely learned their lesson by making sure other long-haired characters (Gill/Rose sorta) had much stiffer hair physics for the most part
ruined because gen could do an infinite, was patched but omega was full of goofy stuff like ken shooting fireball with his foot, which you could hit the foot fireball late
I thought omega was a testing ground for 5 and a lot of it did end up getting used?
Omega was basically a testing ground for the devs to try out dumb shit, sadly a lot ended up not getting used due to SFV going through the Ono dev hell, but you can still see some good stuff got to full SFV like Ryu's v-skills.
stuff from omega did get used in sfv. dan's new move, danretsuken, was from omega mode. he didn't get the command grab or electric wind god fist though

to be fair japanese voice acting school cycles around cemented archetypes too much. X type of character should sound like this and nothing else. It does get boring after a while. Still generally japs perform better than english counterparts.
You're a weeb, the japanese one is the one that's phoned in. Hell Luke's VA talked about how he's the one who added lines like LETS GO because the voice director gave the english voice actors more control over the characters. The japanese voice actors are mostly just coming in for their paycheck.
it's still pathetic even if it is true. At least that's my own opinion.
it sounds better to you because you fantasize about being japanese
I grew up with anime and we are in the weeb board, you sure you belong here friend? you sound a bit mad cause the JP dub is objectively better and the characters actually sound like themselves.

I keep wondering what setting makes this game crash so fricking often with that "d3d fatal error" garbage. I first started seeing it in RE4R, but it's been way worse with this game. No other REEngine game seems to have this problem as far as I can tell. I feel that if I have Firefox open, it's almost a guarantee the game will crash for whatever reason, especially if I'm in World Tour.
On that note, what exactly is "sampling rate" in the graphics settings? What does it actually do? Does anyone know?
JP is such a lame b***h. The only good villains in SF are like Vega and Balrog because they're just violent psychopaths. I've never been a Bison fan but he's a million times better than not-Bisons like Gill, Urien and JP
I finally got over my nonsensical anxiety and finally played ranked after playing this game for 2 weeks. I lost half my matches but I got placed in Gold which is better than I expected. Yeah I know, gay as frick to be worked up over a game but I dunno why I have some kind of anxiety about playing against other randoms online and getting exposed even though it's not like anyone will ever see my stats and shit. But yeah, just wanted to vent. Feels like I made a good step forward.
You're not alone. Ranked Anxiety is real in a lot of games, but SF6 is one of the best games for breaking that habit. You can't de-rank if you're gold or under, and win streaks can help you make up lost ground quickly, so don't worry. Try to only play Ranked (at least on your main character) and it will get easier over time
I get this too after being away for a while, for any game with a ranked system, just going in usually cures me of it after a match or two.
It's a weird pressure in the chest for me, can't explain it really
I unironically think Battle hub is more fun and chill than playing ranked and casual.
It's the only online mode I touch and just the music and all the crazy random avatars put me in a good mood.
That's why it's a smart mode. Personally I don't use it, but I see why people would and I think it's great that there's something for everyone in this game
Gief lost green hand but Manon has a better version of it that's a feint for her grab, she also has the best standing overhead in the game, a traveling low and gets knockdown off anti airs.
Who else alt+f4s when they see that stupid fricking Black person monkey popup
I don't care if I never learn how to play against him blanka players deserve no quarter
They should all universally be 3/4 of a second. 45 frames.
However, if you do Guile's Sonic Blade, it automatically charges and you can just press forward punch to turn it into Cross.
And if you go into Chun-Li's Serenity Stream and perform any of the Serenity moves, it auto-charges both Kikoken and Spinny Bird.
So playing against the bots I found out I get ripped open by combos the second I try to attack because I keep wanting to do heavies. Any ways for breaking out of that?
>play on gamepad first >difficulty doing some inputs during combos >try keyboard out of curiosity >feels way more natural and easier to do combos with straight away
What do you play on? I might continue learning on keyboard, but now Im sort of fumbling my attack buttons
Give me a single reason why you wouldn't give your opponent a thumbs up.
>plays modern
>bad connection
>blanka player
Israel flag
>Palestinian friend called me the other day
>bitches about Israeli flag in the game but not his
Man, frick israelites
makes sense since palestine isnt a real country and only a handful of countries acknowledges it as one. Japan does not.
I forgot about the mechanic.
i don't know how
i honestly just forget
i usually thumbs up if the match is really close or my opponent played in a really cool way that i haven't really seen
Playing Classic? Thumbs up.
Playing Modern? Hey thumbs up.
Playing Dynamic? Don't know how you did it but thumbs up.
Quit after you lose one? Alright, but thumbs up.
One and done me? One thumb.
Two wins in a row, either way? Two thumbs, either way.
Run the whole set? That's three thumbs minimum.
Instant rematch? Hang on, gotta thumb you up first.
Wait two seconds before rematching? Might have given me a thumb, have one too.
Teabag or taunt because you got one up on me? Haha good play, here's a thumb.
Mirror match? Learning experience. Have a thumb.
Character I hate? Learning experience. Thumb for you.
Terrible wi-fi connection? Sure, here's a thumb. I'll even bear it and rematch you.
Disconnect just as I was about to win? I'm going to find you and give you a thumbs up.
for me, it's pulverizing the thumbs up button if i run into a fun mirror match
god im an idiot for forgetting about thumbs-upping people i face and people that kick my ass
I'm shit enough that special moves take actual effort for me, (eg. I can barely do cancels into supers). So I never thumbs up modern out of spite and pettiness. Or I forget.
i thumbs up everyone
i dont even know why
what? you can thumps up people? is that a ranked thing?
It's a taunt
oh................
It's not a ranked thing though
>Using the LukeGAWD energy to get in the zone
Where does the LukeGAWD thing come from?
I can't think of a more successful rework of a classic fighting game character than Deejay in 6. He's always felt like the least-fondly remembered SF2 character, only getting into Alpha with 3 Upper, being garbage throughout SF4, not even being in V, and now he's one of the most all-around fun and stylish characters.
he's still a Black person
Not cool mon
I don’t care about accessibility, if your a guile or blanka player with Modern controls, go frick yourself
>In burnout
>cornered
>no meter
What could Cammy do in this situation?
Air throw
every player i see with this title on is fricking terrible and a guaranteed free win, which begs the question, how the FRICK did they get it in the first place
Luck, and getting lucky for a bit pushed them too high in the ranks and now they're out of their depth
Scrub stomping
I got placed into rookie and got a near perfect winstreak up to silver so like 15 or so matches. The placements are weird and there's a mix of genuinely very new to fighting games players in gold and lower.
Stereotypes are okay if people like them, like the stereotypical Americans in Japanese media or Mexico being all sombreros and parties.
its because of how it works there was a huge influx of players that a lot of would be silvers and bronzes got bumped to gold and once your there you can't go back down. Then other players that would be in silver and gold usually beat them and get placed in diamond and platinum (I placed in diamond immeditaly winning all 10 placement matches) plus they give you a little leeway if you already placed in platinum with one character the next character gets a little bonus they assume you just lost because this is a different character.
>one month since release
>still haven't decided on a main
>Hard stuck Iron 4 for the past couple of hours as Guile
>I have fought the same fricking Jamie 5 times now
I have only encountered Marisa twice, Manon once, Dhalism once, and have only ever fought Ken and Jamie 24/7.
I aint never rematched a manon, jp or blanka and I never will
All you have to do when dealing with Manon is just be more aggressive than her.
How did they get away with somehow making Dee Jay more of a stereotype than his original SF2 version?
Is "happy go lucky party loving Jamaican guy who is always happy" a stereotype? Either way, Dee Jay seems like he'd be a cool guy to hang out with if you have the stamina for constant beach parties and know how to dance.
Because he's a positive stereotype, the main issue people had with Dee Jay was that he bordered on being a racist caricature visually while having absolutely nothing going on otherwise
There is absolutely nothing anybody could hate about new Dee Jay
I do, he looks like a homosexual, now he's some zesty ass joke character
Have you met a Jamaican? They tend to be pretty jovial folks where dancing is a big part of their culture, and living in a tropical island, wearings shades, an open button up, and sandals seems pretty appropriate.
How do I move away from playing shotos?
>you get to BTFO losers like
when playing LukeGAWD's game
And people wonder why it's the greatest fighting game of all time
>watching Kumite because I missed it live
>Dee Jay vs. Dhalsim
>start off rooting for Dee Jay
>Dee Jay can just fricking out-zone Dhalsim while still being able to rush him down at a second's notice
This doesn't feel right
Dhalsim is a setup character not a zoner. Fireballs in SF are meant to exist so you can advance not necessarily keep someone out. A real zoner would be like Dormammu in Marvel 3.
You mean JP? Lol they're pretty close
JP is a zoner which is why he has weird goofy mortal kombat bullshit instead of fireballs.
Dhalsim is low tier.
Might as well just play JP.
For me it's these two.
can you shut the frick up already and off yourself jesus christ you're obnoxious
on an unrelated note, ive been stuck in gold V for a while now because i keep running into players who arent braindead kens and make me realize i actually dont know shit about this game
i did however run into this juri multiple times and we took turns ending eachother's winstreaks, i got an actual rival in this game now
Im loving it
>inspect opponent profile
>0 hours in WT
>let's do this
pure unfiltered autism
how is that autistic? WT is shit and the banners are hidden behind a bunch of menus
>people play the fighting game for the fighting
:/
>35 hours in practice
>15 hours in ranked
>5 hours in casual
this shit is just depressing
i dont get whats wrong with people playing a game the way they want to
not everybody who buys into this game wants to improve their ranking, a number of people greater than you might think just wants to frick around and have fun
I literally have 0 hours in World Tour as well
If I wanted to play singleplayer, I would be playing a singleplayer game, not Street Fighter
>inspect opponent profile
>70 hours in training
>70 hours in ranked
>"Let's do this" tag and "New Challenger" rank
You are a bad person if you do this and I do not like you.
>finally broke my way into platinum
massive shoutout to that arab guile who went afk at match start and gave me two perfects
This happened to me in low ranks with a Ryu and once I realized he was afk, just poked him once then let the time run out for him to have a chance to come back. Two perfects, but he deserved it.
This is Zangief's double lariat. Same something about it?
I hate that he has no hitbox behind him. It's the same fricking arms.
jfc i hate playing Zangief, do you have the hitboxes of the 1 button anti airs from the zoners like JP?
Which one? This is his other anti-air. good luck not whiffing it.
Thanks anon. This is ok according to SF6 apologists.
Use his rage drive get the frick off from me move, Zangief doesn't struggle with meter so most of the time it's ok to waste it.
EX lariat should hit both sides, getting clapped by crossups is aids, he legit has no way of dealing with it.
>This is ok according to SF6 apologists
Name one person who actually likes jp, jp mains don't count
What's wrong with spin knuckle?
Everything, you can't really react to it, it moves her almost full screen and it's meterless fireball punish.
This should be fully invulnerable, Zangief getting to wake up for free would make him fair.
>keep getting dragon punch instead of quarter circle
I'm pretty new to fighting games, is there anyway on keyboard to make sure this doesn't happen?
Don't press anything before you start the motion or do half circle
>the popular game has actually no fans because theres alot of threads on Ganker
Stick to smash, stinky. LukeGAWD's game is a cultural phenomenon.
You forgot the cardinal rule. Ganker doesn't play videogames
>flub input
>opponent didn't expect it and gets hit
Heh get mixed up
its the latest release in the street fighting franchise, of course its fricking popular
Is it true that the CPU in SSF2T can read your inputs making it real hard to play?
Merely reading your inputs was one of the lesser of the cheap shit the AI did in Super Turbo
the US version of super turbo has a bug where no matter what difficulty it's set to the AI is always on hardest so it's brutal from the first match
wasn't the US version of Final fight bugged too?
I don't think so but theres probably differences
did they fix auto throw breaking yet
We've been having daily SF6 threads hitting bump limit since the game is out, let's not even talk about the threads solely revolving around Cammy, Chun-Li and Juri lewds. The game is a success and no amount of transsexual screechings will change that. Now dilate yourself to death, you won't be missed, shazamtroony.
Yes, he kills himself whenever his doomposting doesn't work and respawns in another game.
>Ryu keeps jumping in the air trying to do cross ups
>just keep punishing him with anti airs and air throws
>he just keeps doing it giving me free damage
this is in 3-4 plat
why
are some people just like incapable of understanding "huh, my method isn't working, maybe I should do a different approach for a while" even at higher levels
>"SURELY he won't expect the NINTH jump-in roundhouse"
>tfw throwing someone multiple times in a row because they expect me to just punch or something after the second one
hehehehe
I double perfected a Ken last night because he would jump back into the corner every time.
Sometimes you panic and resort to muscle memory. And oftentimes that muscle memory is your greatest enemy.
>It didn't work the first 4 times
>He'll never expect me to try a 5th time!
>Okay he expected it. Doing it a 6th time would be crazy. Crazy enough to work!
This is me whenever I fight Lily's. They ALWAYS go for the ex dash into command throw frame trap
Several characters don't really have a good anti-air option that aims directly above when he jumps in that from close, he can clear them before they throw out a move and timing a crossup reversal can be volatile.
people suck at anti-air
>this is in 3-4 plat
Ranks mean absolutely fricking nothing under Master in this stage of the game
Just go take a look at any posts online about reaching a certain rank, like 3 hours ago I saw someone say they ranked up from iron to plat within 17 days as a beginner
That tells you everything you need to know about how braindead easy ranked is, at the end of V you probably wouldn't see those kinds of players make it outside of base bronze but here they are in plat
When is the next battle pass coming out?
Go back to your discord and tell them to send someone who's not an ESL, this is just embarassing, Pablo.
>block every blanka player
>the game becomes much enjoyable
Its not the ball, his entire kit was made to be the most annoying shit in the entire game, doesnt matter if you win or lose. People complain about honda and JP but i can make a gameplan for them unlike blanka
apologize
Remember when people here shilled dnf duel? just feel bad for them
It was hilarious seeing Ganker get mind broken by both games being successful.
>Deejay’s classic costume
Nope, that shit was never good, New Deejay is infinitely better
>Capcom especially is a studio people simply don't buy from anymore
You are schizo-tier delusional.
how much longer
She's gonna be Juri's BFF
Selling over 4 million copies doesn't seem like a decline to me.
what does kimberlys level 3 do? it adds a little icon to her meter after she does it
Makes her faster and do more damage.
This is your brain on switch slop. Capcom's stocks have never been higher. You lost. Why don't you BING BING WAHOO out of this thread?
You won't be missed.
marisa level 3 is like a 50/50 if theyre going to rage quit or not
to the people who play deejay and use costume #2, my question is:
why tho?
Costume 2 Deejay players are Baki fans.
Do you also use numbers in your notations homosexual?
He looks like Handsome Squidward and its funny
the dreads looks like shit
how fricking dare you utter such blasphemies in the house of rhythm, you are the living definition of wack.
also yeah fair enough you dont like the dreads but that shirt is god tier
You are so deep in copium land it's unreal.
You couldn't even begin to argue against the people calling you out on your bullshit so you didn't even try.
Now you are just replying to people who are telling you to have a nice day. Hopefully the message is sinking in.
What even is Dynamic?
Meme control scheme possible only in local play where your character pretends to be a Lv4 CPU and does random moves whenever you press any button
my game crashed on this frame
Blessed
GIWTWM
I'll just be over here waiting for you to have a nice day.
I know you've thought about it, I can tell.
Don't forget to be patient.
i main marisa
i have no brain and i must unga
why are people so desperate to hide their names?
start using a tripcode
There have been a couple of bad apples in threads.
IIRC some guy got doxxed or something after they pissed someone off in some gg game.
Wether we're master or Iron, we're all yolo monkeys
This is so fricking boring, you all don't actually play like this do you?
I sometimes hang back for a couple of seconds and try to divekick but I miss the input like 80% of the time and the other guy must have seen
If the situation calls for it I will absolutely sit there and wait for my opponent to hang himself.
Depending on whats on the table i'll go for some wild hail mary or try to pull cheeky dirty setup just because. Not against honda holding down back though. That lily got baited hard by honda standing motion.
Wtf you can press in the dpad on DS4 if you press too hard in the middle, no wonder I was jumping randomly while pivoting.
Yup. Sony D-Pads are one physical piece that slots into the casing rather than four separate buttons. This is totally fine if a little smoother for other genres but it leads to weird shit in fighters.
Yes that's why I suggest using something else to anyone having the tiniest of problems with it god I fricking hate that controller
still not buying your slop no matter how many shill threads you make, capcom
what's the point of drive rushing if the opponent can just hit you out of the dash
It's a reaction check, plus you can go right into a special instead or just jump.
whats the point of jumping if your opponent can just anti air?
Use it at mid range so you can get a free grab
You’re not supposed to just throw it randomly, people that do that as a reaction check.
You can use to chain strong attacks that normally can’t be combo’s
Kill your self c l a d i v e.
Kinda low key thinking about picking up this game as my first fighter now that LoL is dying but I dunno which champ to play.
Is there anyone who is easy to learn but hard to master like yasuo or fizz? I was thinking maybe Cammy or Ken looks cool.
ken is better and much easier to start with, but cammy is also a good choice
>Get thrown
Surely he won't throw me again

SF6 has a burst?
yeah from my you know what at Cammy's stomach
You're Cammy's stomach?
I am not
>Street Fighter 6 doesn't look like a WEG-
OH NO NO NONO NO
None of the mods that "fix" Marisa's hair look right. The literal helmet is stupid, but it fits. Just like Viper's hair being a literal snek.
>viper and juri being friends
Was Juri lying about this?
Yes. All the shit she tells you before the stuff with her as a child are outright lies, and after that its truths that she tries to pass off as lies because she's autistic.
They have to turn off the fricking Luminescence that makes Marisa's helmethair it look like a solid red fill. Darken Marisa's hair and it looks fine.
>got to a decent level with Manon and Gief
>feel like checking Jamie out again due to my fun with him in beta
Should I? I fricking love drunken master stuff.
>combo command grab
do it
>should I check out the character I had fun with and uses a style I love
Why the frick even ask this question?
Dew it. Keep in mind you'll have to actually interact and be mobile with him, or else you'll get memed by hondas into oblivion.
what we think of kolin? should she be in sf6?
name two of her moves coomer
supreme fellatio and ultra twerk
Don't reply to him he is a fgg asylum patient that occasionally breaks out and should not be acknowledged or replied to.
parabellum and vanity step
She looks like a stupid methhead in the actual game and the worst newcomer in V.
hate how slow and campy the game is
Should Capcom retire Chun-li? She is almost in her grave already. Surely any injuries suffered in her age must take years to heal.
No
Do you gays even play the game?
It's a joke ese
I do ever since they introduced modern controls. I love Juri.
https://vocaroo.com/1c7kURYqoMeV
>play Cammy
>modern since this is the first time I started trying fightan gayms and giving a shit
>hard stuck bronze bouncing between 3-5
>everyone I face is an ultra master that combos me like it's a dbz fight
>go train and learn combos
>can't execute them in a fight to save my life
>Get knocked down and try to block on wake up
>doesn't work and get dbz ultra combo'd
>Stop playing for a week
The spirit is willing but the will is weak.
Doesn't modern have auto combos?
Only if you hold rt/r2 but I don't use it for the full combos just some unique opening moves to setup
I believe in you, brother.
I can't give you advice with Modern controls because I don't use them, but I feel like they're a crutch.
Blocking is underrated, by the way. Newbies often forget that
you can mash out your combo in this game
cammy's also hard

This is fricking moronic to a point I don't know how to call it shit accurately
have a nice day
What the frick are you on about you dumbass it's exclusively gameplay related
DP motions were always a mistake.
Shoryuken should have been quarter circle back or even a down down.
I lost to DSP earlier today bros. I feel ashamed
he's been playing these games for decades
he might be a moronic gay but he's a moronic gay who has been playing these games for ages
are you in this video anon?
Base roster is lame 2bh and Season 1 looks okay, akuma and ed are nice.
Aki seems decent and rashid is rashid (they will 100% gutter his theme song)
But let's get real for a second, season 2 needs to be packing if they want to keep players around.
The game is fun, the roster works, unlike 5 that NEEDED the DLC characters.
but for how much?
the roster is one the whole pretty popular, even if i don't like it almost at all
Roster is one of the better things of the game. Unless your one of the minority of people that actually don't like world warriors.
>minority
post blanka, sim, honda and guile numbers or gtfo
Sakura and Dudley in S2, Makoto and Boxer in S3. Bam, done.
What happened to the doomposter that was posting the same copypasta in every thread to do with the game?
I've seen two seperate anti dsp clubs in the wild
how can LowTierFRAUD compete?
why does this guy get so much hate?
He's the face of blaming the game over himself (even more than LTG since he plays more than fighters) and specifically within the FGC he uses a single EVO win during its grassroot days in one of the mediocre SF2 console ports as grounds to believe his opinions on the genre are gospel.
>he uses a single EVO win during its grassroot days
so he actually won a side tourney or something? well that sounds kinda cool
He was 4th but the highest rank for a North American
In his eyes he is the only one with the right opinion, a true narcisit if you ever found one.
Other than that he is entertaining to hatewatch on how moronic he can get at times.
it doesn't matter, they will all be lost to the sands of time while phil will remain, he is the only constant in our universe. civilizations will rise and fall around him while phil remains unfazed, steaming from his couch, forever steadfast in the face of the abyss while a quite "ACK ACK ACK" leaves his lips and the abyss acks back

>character is TOO honest
How will they fix Ryu?

Too far? Not far enough?
Trade his and ken's damage values
let him store multiple denjins for a start
>ryu becomes mid-high with that change
>80% of the playerbase is Ryu now.
Nah, they know newcomers are trash and Ryu is the most iconic of the world warriors, Ryu will forever be a mid tier char
turn OD shoryu into an FADC
fake out fireball
Back in the day we'd just hit jab
OK gramps, let's get you to bed.
Yeah Denjin/Hashogeki definitely need some tweaks. I think this is the way to go, especially if charge could be integrated into combos like Juri can stock fuha mid-combo.
What do I do against giefs instant OD grab that does a million damage? Do I just never hit the guy?
>About to rank up to platinum
>A ryu player denies me by drive impacting during blockstrings and hoping i frick up
>not only do i frick up but all my quarter circle inputs come out wrong
>end up dropping tons of combos and wasting meter on ex moves that weren't supposed to come out
how did i frick up this hard
You choked. Now your nerves are a little bit stronger. Utterly void your mind of rank or victory and focus solely on mastering one inch at a time.
i shall transcend.
what's the point of ryu when Luke and ken exist?
Ryu is there just for lowplat boomers to style on silver modern lukes.
Ryu IS street fighter the same way, kazuya is Tekken, scorpion and subzero are mk, and sol badguy is guilty gear(literal) you dumb bastard
>Sol
>Scorpion
>Kazuya
all 3 competitive material
coomers really tried to gaslight people into thinking anyone gave a frick about menat?
she's the hardest character in the game, of course none of the people that jerk offd to her actually played her
>Ryu, the character that the SF franchise left behind
At least give him an air fireball or a Goken move or something.
Anyone got a link to the last kumite's VOD?
Whole thing.
Why do people keep posting Dee Jay's DR when it's not even close to being the most egregious DR, he can't even do it out of most his stuff
it's the raw DR people complain about
Yeah but why
It's not used as often because you can only do it raw mostly unlike other characters
And then even as raw it's not the numero uno winner for raw DRs
Hell Juri not only has a better raw DR she's also more popular
DeeJay pressure and ablility to stick to you is much more annoying. Jury is arguably stronger, but unless she commits lv2 to play mahvel for 10 seconds it's more straightforward and bearable.
so there is a new battle pass?
Are you supposed to combo in to H flashkick or M flashkick after cr.mp with DJ?
Wouldn't you just do L Machine Gun Upper since it does significantly more damage? Or does it lose Oki?
I'm fricking tired of all the Ken players. I'm tired of having to Flashkick and grab their asses from the air.
Any news on the fighting pass for July?
What character has the best fireball?
DJ has a meterless EX fireball
Luke. Though Deejay's ex air slasher is probably the best projectile overall.
dj wins every fireball war
>Marisa wins Kumite
>Nonstop Marisa players online all day today
>Majority of them are players who just switched to the character after watching her in the tourney
>They have no idea what to do and just unga bunga through everything
>It's far more effective than it should be because I still don't know the matchup and she can armor through everything
It was not a good day, bros... This is just a temporary bump for the character, right?
Time to learn the matchup
just kick her toes bro
Just jump at her. For now it should suffice, once those frickers actually learn a thing or two, you'll have to learn the match. Bird did an excellent job promoting a character.
Anon, his plan is to unga bunga trough everything, extremely hard matchup for Zangief.
>picked up Marisa and did all her trials the day before Kumite
Unlucky, I guess
>People somehow acting like Guile's projectile setup isn't even a projetile itself
Lol
Guile, but Deejay is also an acceptable answer.
I fricking hate how tatsumaki looks in 6 and how it looked in 5 too
It's like he's supposed to be only spinning in place and not trying to kick anything
I haven't picked a main
Play Rashid
No, I don't even know who that is
>not playing him unless his dnb theme somehow makes it to the game, yes with cringe ass RASHIIIDOOO vocals too.
>t. future Rashid main
Play Ky Kiske
Don't.
Be good at every character.
Not realistic, even Justin Wong can't play random select.
And get stuck in character habits from not evenly focusing on everyone? I think not
Okay moron
No it doesn't because you're learning character specific things which takes time away from actually learning foundational knowledge. Your mindset is fricked up
In learning character specific things across the board you drill into your brain the things in common
Well if you weren't a gay moron and could follow a reply chain that's not what was being talked about speedreader.
Justin Wong can't wash my testicles either, doesn't mean I can't.
The main picks you
As someone who ends up inevitably playing dogshit characters in every game, this post is unfortunately very true...
lol so many deleted posts, is the spammer finally kill?
>Do a medium jackknife anti-air
>Start holding down prepping for heavy jackknife
>"Wait, can I just level 3 super?"
>Try it, it works
https://streamja.com/4yWnO
I don't know why I did this.
I wish you didn't.
Heh that's pretty cool
I guess capcom is seeing if they need to increase the grind for the battlepass huh,
Ryonachads please give me some fuel
Cross Tekken is the game for you, come home white man
God I hate tier lists and you especially
I personally think S should be Deejay, Ken, & Juri. But otherwise yeah I think this is pretty accurate.
>Luke
>not S
Crazy. Also Jamie being on the same tier as Guile, and Kimberly being under both seems wrong but I could imagine a world where Kimberlies neutral skips get figured out and she's actually shit.
Of course I picked the one fricking game where Sim is ass to finally learn him...
I just climbed out of silver with a good winstreak, give me your strength to make it to plat bros
I gotta be honest I started in rookie and climbing up none of the ranks so far actually feel any different, aside from the occasional dude who actually knows his combos and shit
>seth copies makoto moves in sfv
>makoto nowhere to be seen in 6
feels bad
Give me Dmitri any day over one hit kill tomboy. Seth also could do Demon Cradle for some crazy reason.
You can rank down from gold why keep spreading this lie?
seth's gimmick in sfv was that he/she was copying moves from characters not in sfv, including other capcom fighting games, like wesker or dio
Juri, stop going on your fricking phone
chairs don't talk shut it
>wake up CA
>opponent disconnects
lyrical and magical thread.
I like starting rounds with 6HK.
Just started online and getting thrashed in rookie as Juri
I played the campaign and a bunch of the trials but it didn't really teach much beyond how the moves work. Where do I go from here?
Go get thrashed by some Juris and see what they do better than you
How about you play more.
Cheers. Keen to keep at it at least because the character is super fun to play.
read the character guides
I beat a diamond Ken using combo assist as modern Honda, I could feel his rage through my screen
>Blanka
>Honda
>Sim
I will win and then I will not rematch.
>playing against level 7 cpus and exclusively counter DIing into a combo combo or grabbing
>mfw finally starting to win matches
i AM going online and i AM going to counter Black folk spamming this annoying fricking mechanic
played against a juri that spammed random DI during her shit or on wakeup, started doing the same thing and it turns out the fricker cant react to it properly either
won 2-1
the risk/reward at most levels of play is insanely lopsided so right now a lot of people just do it on offense and just hold that shit when you use it against them, it'll be a long time before the average online player will be able to reliably react to DI
the only player i'll respect for using DI is someone who can reliably counter it
>sudden rollback eats up startup frames
>gets yeeted into outer space by stoned ass wifi brazilian ken anyway
I don't think DI is a very good mechanic. It just seems entirely solvable and reactable at a certain point to where there's no point in even using it. I don't see it used in high level play because it's just asking for your opponent to do 30% to you.
>I don't see it used in high level play
Didn't watch Redbull Kumite, I see.
I can't stand fighting manon, you mess up once and you lose. Not to mention she has an infinite block string in burnout, nerf this character to hell.
>people thinking aki will be based on fang, vega or gen
aki will be the necalli function
Honestly that would be sick. I really liked Necalli's playstyle, shame about the rest of him.
Also he was so frick ugly with all that hair. The physics guaranteed that it ALWAYS looked like shit unless he got his VTrigger. They definitely learned their lesson by making sure other long-haired characters (Gill/Rose sorta) had much stiffer hair physics for the most part
>Blanka wins CEO
>Marisa wins red bull
I cannot wait for Jamie/Lily/Honda to win EVO
So is omega street fighter 4 filled with nonsense on purpose? why has none of it reappeared in the later titles?
ruined because gen could do an infinite, was patched but omega was full of goofy stuff like ken shooting fireball with his foot, which you could hit the foot fireball late
...checked it out, someone throwing out hadoukens with kicks actually looks really cool
okay what if Ryu's tatsu shoots hadoukens in all directions when he has a denjin stock in 6
I thought omega was a testing ground for 5 and a lot of it did end up getting used?
Sakura had hashogeki in that game.
Omega was basically a testing ground for the devs to try out dumb shit, sadly a lot ended up not getting used due to SFV going through the Ono dev hell, but you can still see some good stuff got to full SFV like Ryu's v-skills.
stuff from omega did get used in sfv. dan's new move, danretsuken, was from omega mode. he didn't get the command grab or electric wind god fist though
the frick. I wish I knew this earlier(prolly should've done the combo trial). Jamie bros, you can level 1 after an OD palm in the corner.

>En DUB
>english
>dub
lol moron
yes english dub
SF6 was recorded in English first, every other language is a dub
>EN DUB
>JP DUB
my "dude"
bro a redo of the original voice acting in another language is a dub. There is no "english dub" it is an english language game with a japanese dub
>every single one of the JP characters are the same VAs that been doing them since forever
>every single one of the EN characters are literal whos with no range
But i guess le lets go is too funny to not use :/
>every single one of the JP characters are the same VAs that been doing them since foreve
So what?
Its still a dub
so what? it still sounds way way way way better
it sounds better to you because you fantasize about being japanese
it sounds better because the japanese voice acting industry is 300 times the size of america's anime/video game VA industry.
to be fair japanese voice acting school cycles around cemented archetypes too much. X type of character should sound like this and nothing else. It does get boring after a while. Still generally japs perform better than english counterparts.
The audio is dubbed in, both languages are a dub
don't care gay
japanese game
japanese series
japanese genre
japanese dub
You're a weeb, the japanese one is the one that's phoned in. Hell Luke's VA talked about how he's the one who added lines like LETS GO because the voice director gave the english voice actors more control over the characters. The japanese voice actors are mostly just coming in for their paycheck.
You post this in every single thread and it doesn't make Luke voice any better
>Ganker is 2 people
>carbon copy post
>i...it's two people!
it's still pathetic even if it is true. At least that's my own opinion.
I grew up with anime and we are in the weeb board, you sure you belong here friend? you sound a bit mad cause the JP dub is objectively better and the characters actually sound like themselves.
i agree with this, DJ nip voice is awful
Do you think everyone lurks Ganker for 20 hours a day just so they don't accidentally repeat information someone else posted before just so they don't trigger your autism?
>the JP dub is objectively better
I would also think this if I didn't associate Japanese with the sting of being a social reject
i somehow feel that seeking social acceptance is way worse. I'm a huge weeb and i never really had any troubles being social unlike people who need to form tribalistic behaviors.
You sure you are in the correct site though?
>I can't use the better voices, people will think I'm one of those nerds
>now excuse me while I select Dragon and perform my Wave Motion Fist
Street Fighter Six!
>this voice acting is all wrong
Sutorīto Faitā Shikkusu!
>ah, MUCH better!
that's an announcement not acting
>I can't use the better voices
But I can, I'm using English.
There are only a few who sound "better" in Japanese only because they're both fricking overacting caricatures, like Juri.
Not only does English sound better, but the audio cues for their attacks and attack strengths are more distinguishable in English.
>EN is audio modern controls
you will never be japanese
If anything I'm more disgusted by the japanese dub in that video, replacing Dee Jay's WAKE UP MON jamaican voice with some moonspeak shit is a travesty
>Jamie bros, you can level 1 after an OD palm in the corner.
Beta 1 knowledge
Should've paid attention
When is Rashidooooo?
In a month or so
Airdashing his way past JP's zoning
I keep wondering what setting makes this game crash so fricking often with that "d3d fatal error" garbage. I first started seeing it in RE4R, but it's been way worse with this game. No other REEngine game seems to have this problem as far as I can tell. I feel that if I have Firefox open, it's almost a guarantee the game will crash for whatever reason, especially if I'm in World Tour.
On that note, what exactly is "sampling rate" in the graphics settings? What does it actually do? Does anyone know?
which GPU
RX 6700
Same as mine, but I dont use windows so that might be an amd driver problem
i got to gold today, feels nice. I still fricking can't figure out how to do drive rush shenanigans, though.
Why does people talking about video games scare you?
>Watching replay
>DJ does his level 3
>fast forward ten seconds
>DJ is still doing his level 3
They really need to cut down on cinematics, yeah. I understand that its about casual appeal, but it does get tiresome
for me the worst offender is Marisa, I know at some point I will have to eat a long and slow ass 60+% damage combo
YO WAKE UP, MON!
DEEZ NUTS GETTIN RED HOT!
What shoto moves will Sakura copy next
ex deepthroat
Sakura won't be in Street Fighter anymore. She's already a grown up and has given up martial arts to be agym teacher
>loregays
Sakura will come back and be ten times stronger because she'll be carrying a baby in her arms and doesn't want any trouble.
That's not Sakura it's the guy from The Tuxedo

Make it happen capcucкs.
>also, what the frick is that word filter?
Being contrarian isn't a personality.
the only character I've ever set to english was Ed in 5 because for some reason they gave him an evil anime midget voice
If I could I would have set Ibuki to have only one taunt be english
I like saying namby pamby more than まだまだだね
did you bought the fighter pass?
Nope.
Nothing worth getting.
Maybe if they start including costumes for the characters or.exclusive colors I will.consider it.
midnight bliss costumes when
Why the hell is Akuma a meido
Cause his short ponytail looks like a broom. Don't ask.
excuse me but that is specifically shin akuma; the maid back ribbon thing looks like the kanji on his back
>phase 1
wtf i love Ryu now?!?
Those are men
neo shadaloo was a flop
Anon S1 WT content is literally gonna be about Neo Shadaloo
JP is such a lame b***h. The only good villains in SF are like Vega and Balrog because they're just violent psychopaths. I've never been a Bison fan but he's a million times better than not-Bisons like Gill, Urien and JP
I hope Alex comes back
Maybe, he was kinda poplar
Doubt he's making a comeback in a game with 3 grapplers and 2 big body characters. At least not in first couple of seasons.
you just know

lips follow the japanese voice linesperfectly
JP and Ken (80% of your online games) are way better in JP and they actually sound like the characters.
oops :^)
Sugita was a miscast for JP role in my opinion.
Almost like the animations are different for the different voices
you still won't be japanese
Capcom has used proprietary tech to lip sync for dubs since SF5
>sound like the characters
>way better in JP
you are not Japanese
i don't see what being japanese has to do with the JP voices being extremely superior
Luke is so hot I want to suck his dick
We know Jamie
sorry anon but his dick got sand blasted off in the war
He can use one of the emergency backup dicks Bison had grown in the lab in case he needed a new one
Shut up, Luke
Try to only play Ranked (at least on your main character) and it will get easier over time
I have personally deranked at bronze and silver
Why are you lying
I usually don't have a reason
I get this too after being away for a while, for any game with a ranked system, just going in usually cures me of it after a match or two.
It's a weird pressure in the chest for me, can't explain it really
I unironically think Battle hub is more fun and chill than playing ranked and casual.
It's the only online mode I touch and just the music and all the crazy random avatars put me in a good mood.
That's why it's a smart mode. Personally I don't use it, but I see why people would and I think it's great that there's something for everyone in this game
How do the arcade cabinets work? Are all the games in the game files or are they streamed while playing?
He's literally me
Reminder that you’re NEVER in a life lead against a grappler
Reminder that manon shouldn't have the medal system at all since she doesn't actually have to work for her oki or grabs like Zangief does.
This too. I’m mad that she gets to keep her shit but Jamie doesn’t keep anything. At least only remove 2 drinks every match instead of all of them ffs
Gief lost green hand but Manon has a better version of it that's a feint for her grab, she also has the best standing overhead in the game, a traveling low and gets knockdown off anti airs.
AND she has long and frick normals
AND she has a move that pulls you into grabbing range
Why is this allowed while the others get shafted in some way
I am when he's more hurt than I am there really is no room for interpretation
I have no fricking clue how to do a sonic boom.
Just hold back and press the SP button
Classic controls say back forward punch. I spent 30 minutes trying before I went back to Marisa. I am filtered by the funny hair american man
It's more like baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack forward punch
smartest marisa main
many such cases
Ahem. Frick Marisa mains, you did NOT deserve your win you ape.
That is all
Marisa is honest learn the matchup
Who else alt+f4s when they see that stupid fricking Black person monkey popup
I don't care if I never learn how to play against him blanka players deserve no quarter
How many frames exactly do you need to hold for a charge move and does each of them have their own timings?
They should all universally be 3/4 of a second. 45 frames.
However, if you do Guile's Sonic Blade, it automatically charges and you can just press forward punch to turn it into Cross.
And if you go into Chun-Li's Serenity Stream and perform any of the Serenity moves, it auto-charges both Kikoken and Spinny Bird.
So playing against the bots I found out I get ripped open by combos the second I try to attack because I keep wanting to do heavies. Any ways for breaking out of that?
Throw your heavy out a bit sooner to catch their attempt to punish
That's probably the only way
If you want to throw out a heavy you need to space it correctly.
Yeah come to think of it I'm usually right on top of them when I've been doing it too.
Bring back Vega and Bison Capcom!
So are Dee Jay and Cammy... ya know?
Yes
They are top tier
>play on gamepad first
>difficulty doing some inputs during combos
>try keyboard out of curiosity
>feels way more natural and easier to do combos with straight away
What do you play on? I might continue learning on keyboard, but now Im sort of fumbling my attack buttons
Qrd?
Doomposting weirdo got a vacation
