also it's likely the game will get the Ashoka novel treatment, in which a future project will retconned the game, making it no longer valid to the Disney storyline. That or a reminder that the game will still led into the sequels.

I think they should be allowed to do what they want until sales numbers shows themselves. I thought Aya game would've been better than scizophrenic story of Origins. But Origins' retcons were stupid enough to the overall lore. Aya only game would've been far worse. I think higher ups should allow them to do what they want for 1 or 2 games to show how their shitty feminist ideologies don't sell games. What's worse is that only Syndicate managed to do that correctly with female protagonist, you could play as both of them almost anytime except main missions which rotates them. Origins did it worst because you are taken out of your current Bayek build for few hours of underleveled Aya gameplay. Female protagonist should be either only playable character if they want to do it correctly or they should include dual protagonist system. I'm not a fan of how RPG games makes your gender choice non-canon just because you want to play as a guy. Dual protagonist makes both of them canon, which works better. I prefer single protagonist games, especially in RPG Creed because unlike adventure AC games they have builds and stats. It doesn't respect your progression. Red is going to be an RPG game and it will feature dual protagonist system rather than gender selection. I want to see how it will work and how builds will be carried over. I can see it turning into a shitshow with character locked gear. Like Naoe and Yasuke having different equipments and getting only Naoe equipment while playing as Yasuke and vice versa.

According to AC Adam and Eve are the founders of Assasins not Hassan Sabbah. Which makes it worse. Not only that but also half the Monteriggioni statues are meaningless, Darius(killer of Xerxes) was never an Assasin, Wei Yu(killer of Qin Shi Huang, first emperor of Qin dynasty) was never an Assassin, Iltani(killer of Alexander the Great) was never an Assassin etc.

Regardless, not having anything with Hassan Sabbah, the guy who caused the word assassin to exist, was a scumbag move from Ubisoft. Especially when AC1 is the few works that didn't stereotype the assassins. It's a weird case of the Afrocentric story of Origins stealing from the Iranians.

If the gameplay was good it doesn't really matter because people will have fun playing it. Holding forward and interact to get from mini-event to cutscene is boring as frick. Games stopped being fun when they went from skill to timesink which was years ago.
