The only good thing I have seen from the game is that movement looks kind of fun
I played the alpha and they look better than they feel. I found them quite hard to control especially the teleporting boomerang one. Harley's swing has no momentum and the jumping shark is awkward because you just jump and have no accuracy. Only Deadshot was good because his rocket allowed for precision but it has such shitty timers on it it kills the fun.

Because the industry is a paradox right now, at the top you have people who just want to check boxes and do live-service and mtx, etc. because on paper that makes the most money, but when it worked in the past those practices and even subpar gameplay were usually outweighed by the some other appeal (in character design for example, like in gacha games). And at the bottom you have people (for are only even there for that same box checking reason) who actively add negative appeal to games due to pseudo-morality reasons. Thus combined they create games with mediocre (at best) gameplay, shitty practices and nothing even appealing to experience to make up for it - Who would play that? No one, that's who.

I love Spidey and I have no issues with playing Venom killing him. I'd have issues with playing Morlun because the Inheritors are absolute garbage, but playing as a villain killing a hero isn't an issue at all as long as they don't try to justify it because "My dad was mean to me and this guy tried to stop me" or something.
Killing the Justice League isn't the issue, it's how they did it that's the issue and how unceremoniously they did it. Wonder Woman getting the "hero" role is also the dumbest nonsense imaginable because they respect her instead of Batman, the character Rocksteady pretty much built their entire company around. Batman should have been doing what Wonder Woman was doing and he should have gotten the heroic death where Harley lets bygones be bygones because he saved their ass, that's the issue.

Why not just make a fricking Justice League game, the only one they need to power down is Superman, and even then they could just say "a low level wave of kryptonite radiation is spreading all over earth due to braniac" or just power him down to DCAU levels of "weak to electricity and magic, not as fast as the flash"
If you haven't noticed, they've been trying to push the Suicide Squad hard, especially since the movies came out. It's also really hard to have missed the total collapse of Marvel's Avengers as well so maybe they didn't want to have the same thing happen to them and decided to try the Suicide Squad.

I remember years ago it was being hyped by Jared Leto making an ass of himself with his "method acting", and then the movie turned out to be dogshit. The only thing people seemed to like was Robbie's Harley Quinn. Now they managed to ruin her too in the game.

The first movie was a critical disaster but it actually got money and made Harley Quinn super popular with normalgays for a while. Its success was probably why they decided to make a Suicide Squad game in the first place, since it was by that time that development started. Also probably why they decided to suddenly make Deadshot black.
But for whatever reason they took too long to develop it, and only released when the SS was already kind of forgotten about and even Harley Quinn isn't that big of a deal any longer.

I have no idea why they need to force live service into games, even from the point of view of the business, it's just such a huge gamble. That a ton of people will purchase your game is a relatively safe bet given the studio and the IP, but that they will consistently play it for years to buy more and more microtransactions requires so much to go right that it is just unrealistic. Let alone when the game proper is so barebones.
