Super Effectiveness should be x1.5, not x2.0. I dislike how much of a "click button to win" game Pokemon is. Super Effectiveness is so goddamn strong that your entire existence on the battlefield is invalidated if you're weak to your opponent. It should be x1.5 so that your opponent still has an advantage, but you still at least have a CHANCE to win.

Leave an intelligent and informative reply or none at all.
Why should I leave an intelligent and informative post when you didn't?
yawngay you are the last fricking person on earth that should be complaining about people posting shit that isnt worth anyone's time to read
idk i kinda like the idea of a game with hard counters
The whole point of Pokemon types is to encourage hitting things for super effective damage. There's no point in that if it does the same as STAB.
STAB shouldn't be a thing.
Why not? A Pokemon would reasonably be better at using its own type move than a different type.
>Pokemon should get free damage for doing something that a toddler could do.
I see what you mean. All toddlers can screech. But despite screech being normal type, the move is most effective when the toddler is autistic, not normal.
Then types hold no offensive weight.
>no reason to use moves of your type because no STAB
>no reason to give a shit about type effectiveness because SE damage is barely more than normal damage
types don't even matter at this point outside of their weird secondary effects. in your attempt to make the game more balanced and, i assume, challenging, you've turned it into even more of a braindead experience where you click the big damage moves to win. you dumb c**t.
>Monotypes being fricked over and pokemon being limited arbitrarily is a good thing, actually
Frick off.
>Monotypes being fricked over and pokemon being limited arbitrarily is a good thing, actually
yeah, it is
No it isn't.
yes it is
moron
Monotypes would still be shit.
OP got btfo by a x4 weakness
GO does that
GO gets away with it because it's either 3v3s against npc or player trainers, with the lessened weakness/resistance multipliers giving mons some leeway since you can't bring as many backup mons when type advantages aren't in your favor, or for balancing its PVE content (raids/gym battles) where having full weakness multipliers would mean that gyms would take almost no time to take because you could just bring a few mons that hard counter the raid boss or whatever's defending the gym since you get to see what mons those are
> SuperEffective should be worse than STAB.
Are you moronic?
Accuracy is the real problem. There is nothing more frustrating that missing hydro pump, fire blast, etc
When WoW added their not-Pokemon battle pet system it used accuracy at first and also was aids. They later changed it so nearly all moves have 100% accuracy, but then the base power had variance. So instead of something like Hydro Pump being 110 power 80 accuracy, it's be 88-110 power, 100 accuracy. Over the course of hundreds of uses you'd get the same average damage, but the increased consistency made it feel a lot better. I wouldn't mind of Pokemon were like that.
Umbreon is still better
Pokemon Go did something right by curb stomping 4× weakness into 2.5× instead.
I've thought about how 4x weaknesses changing to 3x could work, but regular super effective hits being nerfed would be awful. At that point coverage moves would be mostly irrelevant and the game would focus more on spamming STAB attacks.
STAB should be 1.25x and SE should be 1.5x
WoW pet battles are actually a ton of fun and has a lot of unique mechanics. I'd love if they made a full on spinoff game but Blizzard sucks ass and it will never happen.
just use normal type tanks
