Man, Super R-Type was hard as balls in the final stage. Think I only managed to finish it a few times back then. The slowdown didn't help matters (not as bad as Gradius III got though).
most of the Culture Brain games would be nice. One of those niche publishers who are often forgotten but made decent to middling games with funny engrish translations.
>They're also getting Battlemaniacs
I hope some 2ch kid bawls his eyes out over getting his ass kicked by that shit at the end of Stage 2 (you know the sequence)
They're probably waiting for subs to dwindle so they can drop big games like Smash Bros and DKR to bounce the count back up.
It's the only semi-rational explanation I can think of as to why they advertised the N64 NSO with Smash Bros but it still hasn't come years later but yet I'll never know if that's the truth either because their line of thinking is from a whole different fricking planet.
A shame because hassle-free online play with DKR and Smash Bros are the only reasons I'd ever sub to the expansion pak.
I swore to god I saw a blip of Smash 64 somewhere during a direct but I looked back just now just to see whether you were right or wrong and I don't see it so I guess you were right.
My last cope is they're possibly making some half-assed collection containing 64, Melee and Brawl but I do not see that happening anytime in the near future either.
I can one hundred percent see DKR being withheld though
IIRC there are some weird rights issues regarding Smash 64 since that game was a no-show on Wii U VC and a playable demo of it had to be removed from Smash for Wii U.
Wonder what those rights issues are. Now that you do mention it I do recall there being an extreme lack of Smash 64 on Wii-U.
>still no banjo-tooie
yeah wtf is up with that? I remember it being a b***h to emulate in 2008 but we're in 2024.

i finished a 100% run the other day on emulator and had zero problems aside from the ingame lag, i thought emulators got rid of that shit or does that only work for DK64?

It's perfectly playable now from what I remember but 2008 older versions of PJ64 wouldn't work with it and I think 1964 and even Mupen(?) had trouble rendering the puzzle pieces in Jiggywiggy's challenges.
But the Switch Online emulator struggled with even OOT initially. So who knows how a game like Tooie is running on it despite the advances we've made since then.
Most of the titles that haven't been released in the west but got on western NSO are simple to pick up and play, Marvelous is a Zelda-style adventure game where you need to understand what you're supposed to be doing.
Wake me up when Cocoron is added
pretty based games this time, but why the frick isnt sonic 1 on the genesis app or sega cd games yet
Because they want you to buy one of the 15 different paid versions available on switch?
*Crickets*
>Super R type
>wrecking crew 98
wtf
actual good games added?
this is wrong

They should add Flying Dragon Secret Scrolls on here.

Japan is getting Marvelous, first game directed by Aonuma
Hey those are nice
Never heard of that game before damn
>They're also getting Battlemaniacs
I hope some 2ch kid bawls his eyes out over getting his ass kicked by that shit at the end of Stage 2 (you know the sequence)
They're just going to rewind.
Western app already has that game. Japan is the one doing catch-up instead of the other way around this time.
The Japanese version is a lot easier.
amazing Hebereke
HEBE
something something emulation
Never heard of any of these games
Konami still holding out on bomberman and goemon as usual huh
I feel like bomberman is just gonna get a collection then
>still missing a shitload of Game Boy games
Sigh
>paying for roms
*for temporary access to
>roming for pay
Didn't know there was another Wrecking Crew game
Yes, and it's one of the more expensive Nintendo published games out there. Pretty neat its on here, I haven't played it before.
reported to nintendo
you are toast buddy
Switch Online Japan gets Battletoads in Battlemaniacs and Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima
>mfw we get hidden gems like pic/related but get no fan fare at all
feels weird even seeing the store page honestly.......
also wasn't this released on SNES or was I crazy......
>it's another 8-bit climb ladders and push blocks game
NES, it's Legacy of the Wizard. It's also in one of the Namco collections.
>study shows that those against piracy are female or transgender
hmm
Where the frick is Diddy Kong Racing already?

False. There is no sign of that game anywhere in the prerelease trailers.

>Wario's Woods nes is available from the start
>never add the SNES version that's superior in every way
I didn't even know there was a Hebereke game on SNES.
>still no banjo-tooie
>go through the effort of giving titles that weren't released in the West before
>still give Japan exclusive games

Thats fricking neat. Three whole roms I've had since 1996.
Very impressive getting Wrecking Crew '98 all the way back in 1996. Does your dad work at Nintendo or something?
No don't be silly. It was my uncle.
Do I have to play the 97 other Wrecking Crew games to get the plot?
