The souls games are primarily dark adventure games with light RPG elements and Sekiro is a dark adve tire game with no RPG elements. Clearly the game is so beloved it doesn't throw off the results anyways so there's no reason not to include it and you should include it for completeness
Hard game. Has souls checkpoint system. Enemies respawn. Level up system (but harder). Armored core is not even close to the souls genre. Sekiro still has a similar system like the souls.
Demon's is a fine game that started a franchise. It never tanks in quality compared to the two games that came after it frankly. That being said, people love Dark Souls 1 despite its flaws and quality gaps and I like Demon's Souls even if it isn't hot shit like the games that came after DS2.

Not at all second worst. It hosts one of the best ost only beaten by bloodbourne and music does a lot for these games. It was very stage driven almost with each area entirely new with a new gimmick. It was a blueprint for future games but it was a damn good one. The dark and light system was well implemented. I agree it was a blueprint and barebones. Also that ds1 is vastly better but not near the worst souls or second worst.
