only NeoGeo and the newer Genesis cores are made from decapped chips. For the other cores, devs usually don't bother with operations that no games use.
>Create hardware to imitate the real console
Why wouldn't you just buy a N64? If we were in the far future and no functional N64s were left I would understand, but you can find one trivially.
everything in the picture you posted is dumb shit like wlroots not working or fullscreen being automatically and have nothing to do with emulation accuracy
Just bought one.
Pros: >Emulation is perfect except for N64 and Saturn >PSX Core has an overclocked version that lets you run games like Jumping Flash at significantly higher FPS >Bluetooth connection is extremely solid and doesn't give you hassle like on a PC >Lets you use Samba, SSH and SFTP out of the box >Has linux running on it at all times, even has vim (no emacs)
Cons >Cores like SNES and others do not have save states, at all >You must manually load BIOS files to play Saturn games >Controller configuration must be done sequentally, you can't just change one button at a time >No way to show recently played games without bash scripts that can't be run on a CRT TV >No per-game control schemes

The only "real PC" that uses ARM is a Mac by your moron standards

ARM has nothing to do with it your just moronic and that's why controllers don't work for you on x86 or ARM

We're not in the 80s anymore.
Everything is written in C and compiled to the target arch
It's much more likely that the raspy has a shit Bluetooth antenna and/or a shitload of interference than some CPU problem

I don't think you know much about FPGA boards. The DE-10 Nano is a lower end board meant for students but it's still industrial grade hardware, meaning it can operate even at 100 °C without breaking a sweat.
With filtering. It's kind of hard to see in photos, but very obvious in person.
You didn't even take the photos from the same position, anon. You're damn right I can't really tell the difference from them.

Photoanon can't even reproduce the conditions to take another pic that's actually comparable. Even if I have the impression that one is blurrier than the other, I know better than to blindly trust it when it could just be an issue with the person who took the photo.
interesting. i think there's a bit later in an elevator shaft where emulation tends to freak out but i can't remember exactly where so i won't push for it.
Few reasons
n64 had like 4 games really worth playing: mario 64, dk64 and both zeldas. For a long time, it wasn't fricking worth it and with the release of DS mario 64 and the GC versions of Zelda, it only had DK64 and that still has glitches today
GC on the other hand was the 'poors' choice of emulator. Xbox 1 is still in shambles (see above, not many exclusives worth it) and PS2 is mostly ok. However, GC ports of multi platformers were easier to run so it's easier to emulate
Having the correct documents to learn from help a lot.
N64 emulation was a half emulator joke for the last 20 years until ONE(1) guy fixed the shit by actually investigating how the RCP works
>saturn improvements won’t get backported to Saturn emulation >saturn emulation basically static (yeah beetle works but it has no emulation hacks to speak of) >fricking ps3 and 360 have been making substantial progress >OG Xbox emulation still stagnant as hell
It hurts, maybe Xbox leaving the console space means all the stuff trapped on OG Xbox like otogi and JSRF (license hell for the soundtrack though) and stuff trapped on the 360 like rare replay will make its way over to PC. I know they’re on the series X/S a lot of the time but I’m not buying an Xbox on their deathbed just to play some older shit.
Angrylion fixed it .
Before him there were no such thing as N64 emulation as it was just CPU emulation with the rest being shitty recreations of the software running on the coprocessor
I have a MiSTer but buy an ad already, this is getting annoying.
>HOW!!???
German engineering.
BRRRRAKA MONOGAAAA
>Incompetent troony emulator devs outdone by 1 chad german family man who wants to play mario kart with his daughter
Pretty based
Astounding ingenuity
because it's easier to emulate hardware with hardware than software?
>HOW!!?
By using the same research that took decades
So why are software emus so dog shit then?
But parallel is better than MiSTer's emulation
>MiSTer is based on le decapped original hardware so therefore it has essentially perfect accur-
software testing is for gays. if it compiles i put it in production
what am i looking at here
Unfiltered autism.
tests for operations that run on real hardware

Nice try.
troonyboy advance

That looks like a gamcube

I will never go back to software emulation.

Dilate
This reminds me of a very autistic argument I had that using save states for passwords made me an impatient child.
>doesn't give you hassle like on a PC
Bro its literally an arm PC.
And yet it doesn't drop your controller and refuse to sync randomly like an x86 Windows/Linux PC. Curious.
Controllers just work on Linux you must be doing something wrong.
My Raspberry Pi always had issues syncing my controller, so no.

The main advantage is portability and ease of hooking up to a CRT. All of those other pros you named are present with software emulation.
But can it run the cutscenes in Wonder Project J2 without shitting itself
If you give a patched rom I'll test it for you.
it's on cd romance
Yeah seems to work fine.
You can even turn off the N64's texture filter and AA to make the art pixel perfect instead of blurry.
Without filtering

Now you too can emulate worse than NanoBoyAdvance but for hundreds of dollars instead of free!

xemu is progressing fine enough tbh, xenia though is a mess compared to rpcs3
N64 emulation has been stagnant for like 2 decades, it's not exactly a great achievement.
Angrylion fixed it .
Before him there were no such thing as N64 emulation as it was just CPU emulation with the rest being shitty recreations of the software running on the coprocessor
Discord shill thread? I don't even know what that is.
Why are people paying so much money to play games I already played when I was a kid?
Emulation is free.
Mister is emulation. Its just emulation for audiophile types .
Got my Memester and PVMeme ready. Yup, it's gaymeme time.
