The core of the problem is the US stock market, where actual trade is overshadowed by government financed investment funds like blackrock, vanguard, etc. They all have pretty similar requirements for financing: diversity, LGBTQ support, greenwashing practices, etc, and their financing, while smaller than what you can theoretically get from improving your company and product, it is WAY more safe and full proof, and for a lot of companies it is enough to not only survive, but also grow. However you usually can't just say "do x" and have people do what you have in mind, especially if X is not a straightforward physical task like carry the bag or make a boiled egg, but a set of abstract rules that people can understand differently. So the creation of companies that specialize in understanding and fulfilling requirements of said investment funds was only a matter of time, sweet baby inc is one of such companies. Now that these funds are starting to run out of money, companies that fully depended on them start to panic, release absolute shit(as opposed to average shit before), blunder in covering up their cooperation with woke companies and so on, existence of such companies becomes a public knowledge.
