What games will you be getting on your Switch this year?
Seetheposters need not reply.
>Splatoon 3
>Live A Live
>Xenoblade Chronicles 3
>Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope
>Bayonetta 3
>Metroid Prime Remake
>Crayon Shin Chan (western release confirmed)
>NieR Automata
>Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
>Persona 5 Royale
None but I will be playing Live A Live, and Mario Rabbids on my PC
God you people can’t help yourselves can you? If you are playing switch games on another platform that’s fine, why can’t you just talk about the games you will be emulating instead of just mentioning you will emulate them? I’ve never understood this.
Vegan mindset. Also called attention whoring.
They'll just download it and let it rot on their PC. They're not gamers, they're nerds who want attention.
None. I have a deck
>I have a deck
Sorry to hear that.
Then you're posting in the wrong thread friend
maybe i'll get all the smt games on it it's been a while since i played anything in that franchise, i don't care much about persona 5 it's aimed at teenagers and i fear it will make me feel old
also live a live and DQ3 remake
>DQ3 remake
I guess that we haven't heard anything about it to let LaL have some sales
pokemon and uuhhh nothing i guess
I haven’t played my Switch at all this year. I’ll probably pick up Bayo 3 and anything that has Metroid in the title. This year has been pretty uneventful tbqh
Nothing. I'm still playing last year's Switch games.
I forgot all about Live-A-Live holy frick!
Just Splatoon 3 and Metroid Prime if that exists. That's enough, though.
I just bought Capcom Arcade Stadium and Castlevania Advance Collection on Switch, I also have tons of fricking games on the backlog like Pacman Museum+, Astral Chain, SMT V, DOOM 1, DOOM 2, DOOM 3 and 64, Bravely Default II, Aggelos, Blasphemous, Demon Turf, Ion Fury, Hotline Miami 1&2, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Ender Lilies, Steamworld, and other 200 games.
But also I am playing most N64 and Sega Genesis games, I'm currently enjoying Kirby 64, ToeJam & Earl, Ristar and Castlevania: Bloodlines
I dunno how you ppl handle your backlog, guess I will stop getting games for a while except for Xeno 3, Bayo 3 and Splatoon 3.
I hope we get Super Mario Odyssey 2, New DK game and GBC/GBA games coming to Switch
>arcade
are the roms really worth it?
I bought my brother the beat em collection not knowing they were going to be in the second collection & now he's confused about how we can play multiplayer in one version & not the other ;_;
Sauce on the Japanese qt
>I don't know how you people handel your backlog
I simply don't.
the arcade stadiums should have online multi-player
xeno 3, splatoon 3, bayo 3 and maybe nier automata
Is Switch controlles smaller than Dualsense? I have Dualsense and it's too big for my hands.
its about the same size.
>Is Switch controlles
Switch Pro Controller*
Baby hands lmao. But yes, it is. When i first got my PS5 and went back to play Smash it took me a while to get used to it. Now the Pro Controller feels too small
Prime remake almost certainly if it actually comes out, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as well if I like it. Bayo 3 eventually, probably, but not this year.
Pro controller isn't particularly small but the joycons really suck even with slightly above average hands, so maybe they're good with tiny hands?
I don't own one yet, I'm considering getting an OLED during Prime Day sale, but wanna know what else to get.
Currently picking out these accessories for it.
> Screen protector
> Memory card
> Protective case
> Online
> A game, likely Arceus
If I do get it, I will probably get Splatoon 3 later in the year and Pokemon Scarlet (for some reason it's a whole tenner cheaper on Amazon than Violet is).
>Arceus
Literally a beta test for the new ones, also
>buying a modern Pokemon game
Get Splatoon 3 or fricking BOTW
>Literally a beta test for the new ones, also
Just like how RBY was a beta test for GSC
>Arceus
Yes. I like Pokemon and that one looks good.
I will get Splatoon 3. In September. When it's released.
I don't wanna wait months with no games till then, so that's why I'm getting Arceus.
I'm not into Zelda games, but maybe I'll get BOTW if it's ever cheap.
The new ones are already shaping up to be nothing like Arsezoos
>switch out for almost 6 years
>don't own one yet
I smell a snoy outcast
Day 1:
>Splatoon 3
>NieR Automata
>Metroid Prime Remake
>Pokemon Violet
>Bayo3
Eventually:
>Crayon Shin Chan
>Live A Live
>Xenoblade 3
Never ever
>Persona shit
ARMS
p5r and p4g
splatoon 3
kirby FL
calligula effect 2
xeno 3 (maybe, idk yet)
>Metroid Prime Remake
Did I miss some news or leaks?
Jeff Grubb said yesterday that he is 100% that Prime remake is being released this November.
>Remaking perfection
It will 100% be ruined
Too much at this point
>Xenoblade Chronicles 3
>Splatoon 3
>Front Mission 1st
>Persona 3/4
>Pokemon Violet
>Bear and Breakfast
>Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
>Cult of the Lamb
>FFVII Crisis Core Reunion
>Digimon Survive
>NieR Automata
>Advance Wars Reboot Camp (IF IT EXISTS)
What even is free time
>work second shift 3-11
>literally don't have time to play
If I wasn't trying go back to school, I would be a neet
GL with school anon, hope you get to catch up with the games when you graduate
I will defintiely be picking up the following games:
>Live A Live (Day one)
>Persona 5 Royal (Day one)
>Pokemon Violet (Depends on word of mouth)
>Pac-Man World Remake (When I have the money)
>Persona 4 Golden (Day one if Physical)
> Splatoon 3 (When I have the money)
Xenoblade 3 and Splatoon 3 are the BIG ones for me
Live A Live and Bayo 3 will be great too though I likely won't throw as much time into them compare to Splatoon and Xenoblade.
Mario + Rabbids and Pokemon will likely get some time, just because there won't be much out around then
I'll try Crayon Shin Chan and Doraemon too.
Not sure if I care enough about NierA or P5R to play them again. My backlog is too long to be replaying games
>neir automata
>persona 5 royal
>pokemon scarlet
>xbc3 (might delay this one to next year, still beating the first two)
>Bayonetta 3 (might also delay this for neir)
>splatoon 3 (maybe)
are you going physical or digital anons?
>on one hand i regret not owning physical copies of a lot of games
>on the other hand i constantly travel between 2 cities and it's nice to have them all already on my switch, i have a 400 gb sd card and i still have lots of space
i think i'll get all my rpgs physically now i wanna have all the SMT and DQ games in my collection
Digital but I don't have enough space on my 250 GB SD card, looks like I need to buy new SD card with 500+ GB.
Digital for everything aside from XB3 and Splatoon 3
Physical for the big releases like Xenoblade and NieR, digital for everything else.
I have 7 physical and over 90 digital games (most of these digital were bought on sales), but this year I'll try to buy more physical.
Definitely Live-A-Live, maybe Nier Automata, also Pokemon Scarlet, but hey, I found the double pack at 70 € and will split it with a friend.
I go for either, it depends on the game.
If it's a single player like JRPGs usually I go for physical, otherwise it's much more practical having a digital copy, so you can pick it up whenever (Smash, AC, Mario Kart)
Physical since they're typically priced the same as digital, I'm paying full-price too so definitely physical.
Got a Switch a few months ago and jesus christ these $60 purchases are killing me
You think those $60 are killing you, just wait until you see next month's inflation numbers.
Physical as much as I can.
Physical when I can, digital when the 60%+ discounts drop
I buy all my games physical because I'm not a cuckhold.
Physical only, my Switch is hacked and I'm not paying for anything that Nintendo could take away from me, even if just hypothetically (they don't seem to ban accounts even if you get caught).
Physical. Those little red boxes make my dick rock hard. Wish they had manuals though.
Physical.
Xenoblade and Pokemon for sure
If it gets a nice discount down the line Persona and Nier
Metroid, Splatoon, Rabbids, maybe
There is still some older games that i'm thinking to pick it up, like triangle strategy, but i'm fricked for cash for now
Digital for the only reason that physical is expensive as all hell on my third world shithole
Digital for 3rd party and physical for 1st party
I still have to buy kirby and I'm going to also buy Harvestella, Splatoon 3, Live A Live, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Bayonetta 3, digimon survive, DQ3 remake this year
I'll buy physical when there's a version
Playing Three Hopes atm. Am getting:
>Gamedec
>Live a Live
>Xenoblade 3
>Persona 4 Golden (if it comes out this year)
>Sea of Stars
>Harvestella (probably)
4 Golden (if it comes out this year)
5 is this year, 3 and 4 are some time in 2023
I'm hoping that
>coming soon
means they will ''stealth'' release it before 5. Don't ruin my dreams, anon.
LiveALive
I want Xenoblade 3 and Three Hopes, but my backlog on Switch and PS5 is huge and I want to trim it down.
Right now im playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2, i hope i can finish it by the time 3 comes out, so i'll be playing that. Then either Nier Automata (again, i played it on the ps4), then Persona 5. I also plan on playing Bayo3 and Pokemon Scarlet in between persona 5 sessions, that games is long af
Shin chan
Gundam sd
P5r
Splatoon 3
Persona 5 Royal
Nier Automata
Maybe Xenoblade and Bayonetta later down the road
Maybe Monster Hunter Rise
That's it probably. That plus Arceus and Kirby which I got earlier this year makes for a pretty good year.
Oh and Live A Live, but not until its on discount. Nier is cheaper for fricks sake.
Already gotten Kirby, will get Xenoblade 3.
That's about it
>all these newbies picking up Automata
Why? Have you never played it before? You want to play a Platinum action game on Switch? Can you even imagine the framerate? I am surprised it wasn't a Cloud version that got announced
I played Astral Chain and W101 again, I'm more than okay with it
Whoa. Are you moronic? I think you are. Yeah, you are actually. Maybe do research first? You know? Before you shitpost. Maybe you won't come across like a pleb then. Maybe next time.
What shitpost? The Switch version is gonna run like shit. Why play the shittiest version? This is a legit question.
>Why play the shittiest version?
No one is talking about the PS4 or Steam Deck versions though.
How much does Nintendo pay per post?
Far less than a Deck shill post.
Don't have a deck. I am just not deluded to think Automata will run better on Switch than anywhere else. Do you only have a Switch? You gonna buy the game again? What's the deal?
>I am just not deluded to think Automata will run better on Switch than anywhere else.
>Don't have a deck.
Makes sense then.
So can you answer if you're a newbie that has never played Automata or why you are picking up the worst version of the game?
not him but i only play games on handhelds now. otherwise I wont play them at all. so there's not an another option. did consider getting it on PC a while back, but I knew I would never touch it, so I wanted to wait for a switch release
as long as the framerate is mostly consistent im good
That's weird, but makes sense.
Whatever you tell yourself to cope, tendie. Guess you only have a Switch then? Or are moronic enough to think the costumes make it the better game? And why is the Xbox version good?
>posting facts is now "cope".
Ok snoy.
>facts
(read: came to me in a dream)
I bet you also think Bloodborne runs flawlessly.
>I-I bet
Oh no, he's resorting to conjecture lmao
But as mentioned, I'm not getting the Deck or PS4 versons which are worse, especially the former.
Im gonna buy it again
No, never played it, but I'm not gonna buy it regardless, I'll see and decide
I'm also used to play on the Switch, I can endure bad framerate
Why would you buy it on Switch? That's my question
As a personal attack on you
Why wouldn't you?
Cuz it's gonna run like shit. And because I already played it.
Damn, you're so kakoi~ anon-kun...
>Cuz it's gonna run like shit.
See
>And because I already played it.
Okay? Good for you? What about the people who haven't?
Yep, run like shit. You are delusional if you think that framerate will be stable. I' willing to bet it is at least as bad as AoC's.
And I get not playing it. I don't why play it on Switch if you can play it elsewhere.
I like how you went from "NEVER EVER" to "i-i-t's gonna be shit!!!"
Pure cope as per usual from a snoy
Who are you quoting?
The scale of the world in NieR vs Astral Chain is night and day. Not to mention NieR is more graphically intensive. Weird move to also not bring the Remake of NieR to to Switch. I would expect that to run a bit better.
>Not to mention NieR is more graphically intensive.
Fricking kek
Nier literally looks like an early PS3 game.
NieR, as in, Automata. Which despite not being the best looking game is more graphically intense than AC
have you even played the game before? lol
you keep outing yourself as a moron dude
>aoc
based moron.
the direct footage was fine. a better comparison would be astral chain, which runs pretty well all things considered
I'm really curious how well Nier and P5R will run, but I already played them on ps4 so idc.
Official NieR Twitter account confirmed 30fps but 1080p docked and 720p handheld
https://store.eu.square-enix-games.com/en_GB/product/763534/nierautomata-the-end-of-yorha-edition-switch
NieR physical is only £35 and comes with a shirt
Haven't played it before, do you think the performance is gonna be ass?
there's no way it stays at 30 during the big fights
>Large only
I hate being tall
I still haven't picked Kirby or Picross S7 up so maybe those. Nothing else of note on the upcoming radar. Got a feeling my Nintendo end of the year wrapup is gonna be even more anemic than last years (190 hrs last).
And this one?
https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/picross-s-genesis-and-master-system-edition-switch/
Yeah I got that at launch and played through it. Love me some nonogram games but I've been overdoing it this year (S6, PictoQuest, Voxelgram, Picross 3D replay) so I needed a break and by the time I get to 7 then 8 will have been announced/released lol.
Damn, you've played more than me. So far I only have 5 games - S, S3, S4, (already mentioned) Sega, and Lord of the Nazarick. I didn't even now about S2 until S3 came out; same with S5 and S6.
But who cares. I can buy them anytime. Would you recommend all those games you mentioned in your post, or just some of them?
I extremely recommend Picross 3D if you are able to play it on a DS or 3DS. Its entirely touchscreen based and I've found touchscreen + emulation = ugh at best. Voxelgram is indie Picross 3D with controls (mouse/controller) as you can get for that type of game. Wouldn't recommend playing them back to back because stylus will always feel better than the alternative. PictoQuest I blew through on a dreary sunday. Its short, vaguely rpg-like, and kind of emphasizes going fast unlike most games of this type. It never gets too hard thankfully. Get it at a high discount otherwise it can be passed on.
3D (and then the 3DS sequel 3D Round 2) are the big ones to get. Plus they're a nice alternative to 2D Picross.
Based Picross enjoyer, I still have all Picross S on the wishlist
Wait which is coming out first, nier or p5r?
Why did it have to be Randy?
After THQ Nordic, Gearbox is probably the most experienced publisher under the Embracer umbrella so expect to see them handling a lot of indie/smaller scale project going forward.
>P3P (and P4G if physical)
I already have P5R on PS4 and P4G on Steam. I've played P3 FES but not Portable.
>Metroid Prime Remake (if it exists)
Will preorder
>Harvestella
Looks interesting
>Pac Man World
Eventually
>Pokemon Scarlet
Pending reviews
>Live A Live
Not in a rush for this one but will try the demo at least
So far I've gotten
>Triangle Strategy
>Kirby
>Fire Emblem Warriors
Planning to get
>Live a Live
>Xenoblade 3
>Splatoon 3
>Mario Rabbids
I hadn't been using my Switch that much the last few years after building a good PC but this year's looking up.
Absolutely
>Xenoblade 3
>Metroid prime
>Bayo 3
Maybe
>live a live
>Pokémon
>Splatoon
No
>Persona
>Nier(already have it)
I honestly can only see myself play sunbreak until maybe pokemon come out. But after this direct I will add little noah and dragon quest treasure to my list.
Gonna pirate absolutely everything
I'll be getting Live A Live, Metroid Prime and Pokemon for sure
>Sunbreak in a few days
>and then maybe Live A Live
>and then Xenoblade 3
>and then Splatoon 3
>and then maybe Persona 4 & 5
>and in the future, Bayonetta 3, Dragon Quest 3 HD, and Metroid Prime 4
Bloated backlog, here we come
Xenoblade 3, LAL, and Digimon Survive I already own P5R but maybe I'll double-dip on Switch
I just wish the switch was just slighty more powerfull
is little noah a new game? looks pretty nice
I want a Switch Lite, but it can't be hacked without soldering and I don't wanna pay for games. What do I do?
get a part/full time job
suck it up and start wageslaving you skilless moron
I have the money, I just don't wanna give them to Nintendo. I've been stealing their games for 15 years now, I'd like to keep this tradition alive.
>he says as he buys a switch lite with no way to hack it and zero intelligence to learn soldering
ok.
PC, emulate.
Or buy a New 3/2DS, hack it, experience the best handheld ever.
MH Rise & Sunbreak combo
Digimon Survive
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
No Man's Sky
Ark: Survival Evolved Ultimate Suvivor Edition
Nier: Automata (lost a bet on this one, told my friend the only way I'd ever play it is if it came out on Switch)
Bayonetta 3
Still waiting on LRG Blaster Master Zero III
Very excited for Bomberman and MM Battle Network next year.
Look guys I just want more time for playing games, I'm not even asking for new stuff
Pokemon SV and Live a Live. I have a PS5 and PC so there's nothing else I really want on Switch except maybe Bayo and FE3Hopes
Persona 5 >:)
Assuming upcoming purchases and not stuff that recently came out like FEW3H and Somnium Files
>Monhun Sunbreak
>Live a Live
>Super Bomberman R 2
>Grimgrimoire
>Xenoblade Chronicles 3
>Splatoon 3
>JJBA All-Star Battle
>Mario Rabbids
>Pac-Man World Repac
>Harvestella
>Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
>Dragon Quest Treasures
Keeping an eye out for
>Railgrade
Trains
>Little Noah
Gonna let other people have some time with this title to decide to pull the trigger.
>Captain Velvet Meteor
Could be janky shit to promote their manga but the premise is interesting enough I think it's worth at least seeing the reception
Contemplating
>Portal Collection
Just for the novelty, honestly. Although it's been 10 years since I last played Portal 2.
>Persona 5 R
I honestly had to force myself to finish the original so I dunno. I might just for the memes but I don't see myself getting through the intro.
>JJBA All-Star Battle
I keep forgetting that's coming to Switch. Maybe I'll get it once it gets a significant discount.
anyone bought the portal collection? how it fares on the switch? might get it to play 2 coop campaign with randoms
60fps with gyro, seems like a solid port.
awesome, bet it looks lovely on the OLED screen
Wait for a sale dude, 20 dollars is scam
will be picking up super bomberman r 2 for ps4 next. all of the other announcements were a complete wash for me. no interest in old games i've already played
Remember when 3rd parties made new games for Nintendo consoles (well, handhelds but at least for consoles their multi-plats were day & date with others)? Good times. Switch is essentially a used game dump for them, and Nintendos own output sure as shit isn't helping.
Yes, meanwhile look at all of those third party exclusives on Playstation and Xbox. Wowww
Why are you taking the obvious bait, anon?
Who said anything about exclusives? Were you replying to another post and misclicked?
>Remember when 3rd parties made new games for Nintendo consoles
Yes, it's called the Switch
Because Nintendo consoles used to be unique, and developing a game for the Wii, DS or 3DS wasn't that expensive. But the Switch is basically a standard-ass portable console, and HD games aren't cheap to make even today.
How would a game that takes full advantage of the Switch even look like. Devs can't even design the game around detachable joycons, or Lite owners wouldn't be able to play it.
i'll be getting uhhh
mario strikers dlc
and uhh mario strikers dlc
and more mario strikers dlc
i'm hopelessly addicted to the game
>still haven’t revealed anything about it
I’m mad
NLG is probably gonna release only 6 characters since people didn't have good first impressions, I'm waiting for a sequel to the game considering how good the foundations and the SOUL is, surely they won't toss aside all their newly created assets.
Harvestella. If they actually put good gb/gba games on the online service, maybe that.
MH Sunbreak
Xenoblade 3
Live a Live (probably)
Metroid (if true)
Rabbids, but it'll be discounted 2 months after release so I'll probably wait.
Bayonetta if it's not delayed
I'll pirate Pokemon
I don't give a shit about Persona and last time I tried Nier it bored me but maybe I'll give it a chance.
Overall it's a pretty good year but I feel like Nintendo doesn't even make their own games anymore, I hope they'll announce something, Mario, DK, Pikmin, whatever because right now there's only Splatoon 3 and BotW2 on the horizon.
This year I already got:
>Pocky & Rocky Reshrined
>TMNT Shredder's Revenge
>Pac-Man Museum
>Sonic Origins (This needs to be patched badly)
I'll be getting:
>Crayon Shin-Chan
>Pac-Man World Remake
>Klonoa 1 & 2 Ports
>Portal 1 & 2 Ports
>Live A Live
>Pokemon Scarlet
>Dragon Quest Treasures
Also looking forward to:
>Cuphead DLC
>2 more Mario Kart DLC updates
Great year for Nintendo Switch
Next year will be interesting. We know nothing besides BotW2 and DQIII HD
Would I miss anything if I got Demon Slayer on Switch? I heard even the PS5 version runs at 30 fps.
>Nier Automata
>Pokemon Violet
>Live A Live
>TMNT Shredder's Revenge
>Klonoa Phantasy Reverie
>Bayonetta 3 (hopefully if it releases this year, which I doubt at this point)
Pretty good not gonna lie. A little fearful about Bayo not showing up in this Direct, but otherwise looking forward to a lot of stuff. I also want to pick up Persona 5 Royal at some point, but I'll wait for a sale on that one.
Grimoire Once More
聖塔神記 Trinity Trigger
死噛
Dragon Quest X Offline
Made in Abyss
Xeno 3
Survive
Pokemon
Probably forgetting something. I always forget something.
I'm hopeing trinity trigger turns out good.
Why don't you just download the demo
Apparently it's only out on the Japanese store.
Oh you meant hoping it's good as in, for when it's eventually translated sort of deal. Gotcha. No word on that yet but it should 100% happen sooner or later. When it's released in September I'll probably drop a few words of what I think of the game in one of these threads if you're still around by then.
Don't see a better thread so I'll ask here. How's the diamond/pearl remake? I know people thought the chibi style was lazy but I don't mind it. I haven't played anything since gen 3. Is it possible to complete the dex if I don't have both games/know someone with the other game?
To answer OP, I'm gonna get Splatoon 3, and maybe the new Pokemon depending on how it looks after release.
Don’t even bother, it’s a super lazy remake that brought nothing new to the table. Post-game is pretty much the same as DP plus catching old legends in what used to be Pal Park, and the final boss of that run is just a jacked-up Giratina.
Like I said I never played the originals so I don't mind if it doesn't add too much in comparison, as long as the game itself isn't shit. Can you tell me how feasible it is to complete the dex?
I'm not really sure about completing the dex, it's not something I do when I play Pokemon except when I want to breed shinies. I've a very empty national dex at the end of the game so I imagine it'd take a very long time to complete it fully.
The game is shitty as in "this is made shitty", like moving through the overworld can feel really weird and clunky and your character collides with objects weirdly, especially the edges of walls. There's also really embarassing graphical issues like texture tearing, and you can make it happen without fail just by walking past them.
Diamond and Pearl remake is fricking terrible. It's really poorly made, I can only say two good things about it that made influence your purchase decision:
- The elite four and postgame rematches with gym leaders and the upgraded versions of the elite four are jacked to shit. They have competitive EV spreads, abilities and held items, and they make for fun battles. Unfortunately you have to play the rest of the shitty game to get to any of this.
- If you're the kind of person who cares about transferring your old pokemon forwards all the time, you can get a lot of ribbons for them in DP. If you ever wanted to get one of your Pokemon to have 20+ ribbons this is the game to do it.
I do feel a little moronic because I just realized almost every game I'm looking forward to is either a port or remake of shit I've already played.
>Bayo will be delayed again
>NieR and Persona are 5-year-old games everybody has already played
>new Pokémon seem to be somehow even blander than Legends
>Prime remake is a Giant Bomb rumor that will amount to nothing at the end of the year
What the frick happened? 2022 was supposed to be Nintendo’s big year.
If I wanted to play a more recent pokemon game, what should I play? The only pokemon game i've ever played is moemon firered.
sword/shield (with dlc)
legends arceus is okay too, but it gets pretty repetitive after a while
>sword/shield (with dlc)
does it matter which one I choose? sword or shield?
not really, no. you get the legendary on the box, 2 different gym leaders and a different trainer in the dlc
allister, melony and avery are in shield
bea, gordie and klara are in sword
>If I wanted to play a more recent pokemon game, what should I play?
Emulate BW2, the last good Pokémon game
I just bought a frick ton of games, still got some comming
Pocky & rocky
Live a live
Klonola
Tmnt
F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch
Gunvolt 3
NIS Classics Volume 3
Sword of rewind
Yomawari: Lost in the Dark
portal 1 has 'bonus maps' that i've never seen before, these were shield exclusive maps or something? nice surprisde in it though
They were console exclusive back in the day. I'm guessing you played it on PC
I bought my Switch only a few months ago so I'm still playing through all the games I missed out on. I've mostly been playing Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart online. Luigi's Mansion 3 and 3D World + Bowser's Fury are probably next on my list. Mario + Rabbids looks great too, hopefully I'll play that before the new one comes out. It makes me sad to see all the doomposting about Switch on here, it's a lovely system imo.
Anyone have Civ6 Anthology? Does it actually have the expansions, they're not on the eShop. Also how does it run?
Anon, I've seen you ask in other threads and I wish I could help. Hopefully someone does eventually.
I'll probably get Xenoblade, Persona 5 and Bayo 3. Depends if Nier runs well. Not interested in the others.
Jesus christ the only first party Nintendo game is Splatoon 3…
>the only game is Splatoon 3
Ftfy
Isn't the mario xcom getting a game too?
Nope, sorry, if you want a video game this year, it’s gotta be Splatoon 3
Oh okay. I just skimmed through the direct news and I saw a mario rabbits thing in there.
and Xenoblade 3 and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
Pokémon is second party.
and bayonetta 3
moron
Both of those are second party
no they aren't
also second party is a completely useless arbitration
Nuh uh.
Xenoblade IS first party as Nintendo owns Monolithsoft. I consider everything not owned by Nintendo to be second party. Their first party titles are what they develop and publish. Second party is what they merely publish, which is quite a lot of games.
and it's a completely useless distinction considering it serves no real purpose beyond making silly claims
and also considering nintendo pretty much wholly owns all of their second party properties, they just don't feel the need to outright purchase those studios
you wouldn't say mario golf super rush isn't a nintendo game through and through, even though technically it's "second-party"
I would call it a second party game because it is. What silly claims? If anything it's sad Nintendo relied on another studio to create what is the best Metroid game of all time (Dread).
so do you want the same couple of nintendo-owned studios to work on every single nintendo property, just because?
I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to say. this has been their business strategy for like 40 years now, and it's always worked.
How is it sad? please elaborate
Metroid (2D) was a R&D1 IP. And it no longer is. I just want stuff like that to remain the same. I don't mind if spinoffs like Prime are developed by someone else.
It's like, why let KT co-develop Three Hpuses? Let IS handle that. What's next? Mainline Mario by fricking Activision? Mainline Zelda by Fromsoftware?
You are crying like a b***h baby as if external development hasn't always been a thing since the beginning.
>le slippery slope fallacy
I'm still not seeing where the issue is. You want things to remain the same, yet can't explain why they should.
and ironically, 3h and metroid dread were extremely well received
That's the problem you Black person. They SHOULD have been Nintendo only projects. This speaks to a decline in quality and professionalism on Nintendo's part.
Stop falseflagging. It's embarrassing.
and WHY is that? you still haven't explained your reasoning.
those studios have been working on other things
meanwhile first party owned studios have still been pushing out hits, so your logic makes no sense
>hits
What hits? Odyssey was a step down from Galaxy and platforming in every way, MK9 is nowhere in sight, BotW2 has taken longer than the main game. What hits?
Galaxy is ass unless you’re slow in the head and thus enjoy a platformer paced for a turtle
t. Filtered. Much better than the soulless collect-a-thon with almost no platforming challenges that is Oyddsey.
Yes, just like I was filtered out of special ed, unlike you
>Switch Nier have new skins
>One where both 2B and 9S get 2P skin clothes color
>2B get Kimono and Kitsune mask
Now that's love.
I'll be emulating xeno 3 and bayo 3 whenever that shit comes out
Live a Live
Digimon Survive
Advance Wars
Pokemon S/V
Front Mission
>Advance Wars
Lmaooooo
And prime remake? What?
it's not dead anon, you just gotta have faith
Not saying its dead, just saying Nintendo won't release until next year at least
Switch has no games, so nothing?
You listed liquid garbage that likely run and look like shit, and Nintendo seems to have forgotten gameplay.
have a nice day
These are the games I bought this year and plan om buying:
>Pokemon Legends Arceus
>Shin megami tensei V
>Switch sports
>Mario strikers
>Xenoblade 3
>Splatoon 3
>Bayonetta 3
>Pokemon scarlet & violet
It's a pretty good year for the Switch
>Sonic Frontiers (this is what I'm hyped for the most for some fricking reason, I just crave this kind of game badly especially after playing Sonic GT)
>Splatoon 3
>Shin Chan Summer Vacation
>Metroid Prime Remaster if it comes out
>Hollow Knight Silksong if it comes out
>sequel
>remaster of a game from 30 years ago
>sequel
>sequel
>sequel
>remake
>shit game no one cares about
>port of an old game
>soulless sequel
>port of an old game
Amazing
its ok you have forspoken to look forward to
what is pokemon sv a sequel to?
and why are sequels supposed to be bad? let's hear it moronbro. bet you wouldve shat your pants over the sequel to botw
Only a Snoy would think a sequel to a game is a bad thing. Sorry our game series actually have legs and don't all faceplant after the first one or two entries.
alright bros
should i get 13 sentinels or just wait for persona/nier?
the former is on sale physically
13 Sentinels is IMO a better game than Persona and at least as good as Automata. Maybe better as I like the story more. In my top 5 games ever.
13 sents is one of my favorite games of all time so I'm severely bias. Absolutely love the living shit out of the story and the gameplay was way more fun than it had any right to be when you consider what it is on paper. This game is cursed in Ganker though. The previous exclusivity plus a (or so I hear) bad localization turned every thread about the game into a shitposting contest.
Nier is also amazing. The combat is probably one of the best action oriented around and the story is scarce but what's there is pretty nice. Ridiculously good soundtrack.
Persona is the worst of these 3 by far. Scramble is actually better than 5.
>Impossible to discuss game on Ganker
sounds like literally every game released in the past 10 years. smtv, xbc3, etc are all the exact same way
but thanks, i think I'll pick it up
i feel a little weird about getting a "smaller" title like this physically, as all my physical games are flagship games like botw, mario odyssey, smt v. but my switch has no space left and i guess it's a weird hangup
Just pre-ordered NieR Automata. Very excited to finally play it.
Genuine question: besides portability, why do people buy ports on Switch rather than on PC? I have a Switch and I've been burned by a lot of ports, either the framerate or performance is fricked. For every Doom Eternal, you get something like Tetris Effect where the input lag completely fricks with my timing
I don't have a PC, and there aren't enough games that aren't on Switch worth me investing in one or another console.
Xenoblade 3 and NieR Automata. Maybe Persona and Live A Live.
Forgot to mention that I'm also keeping an eye on Harvestella and Little Noah.
>Nintendo should stop releasing second party games because they're good
lol what?
I don't understand why I would buy a Switch. It's literally a port machine for games I already played on PC. I can emulate its games. I have a hacked New 3DS XL with cfw and I have been playing Etrain Odyssey, which is still not on Switch.
>but muh bed
I have a Herman Miller office. I'm comfy as frick.
Yet you also spent years begging for a Persona 5 port
>implying
What is RPCS3
I don't know, some troony shit that you vegans use to help dilate?
>switchlet has vegans and trannies living rent free in his head
Sad!
A big part of why Ganker calls Atlus moronic these days is because instead of making a massive amount of money on a timely Persona 5 port, they let RPCS3 quickly advance to the point where it was playable at 60fps with mods, thus diminishing the eventual port's sales. Sure it's Royal now so some people will buy it, but the hype is long dead.
You cold even just emulate Royal on Yuzu or Ryujinx now, Atlus is that fricking moronic.
Okay.
>Xenoblade 3
>Persona 5 Royale
>Pokemon Scarlet
We will see about Bayo 3 this year (I'll wait until another 2022 direct) and the alleged Metroid Prime Remake. Backlog is being worked on in the meantime. Maybe Splat 3... I haven't bothered since Splat 1.
Square Enix is really pumping out a lot of shit for Nintendo. Happy for any anons that enjoy that, but I'd kill for Capcom to have more mid tier stuff hitting the system.
the industry is genuinely in a dire need of AA games/devs these days. at least some indies have picked up the pace and actually deliver good games like cuphead, hollow knight, hades and tunic
I want to transform my switch into a roguelike machine
Give me your absolute roguelike top 10 right now
Into the Breach
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero
Nothing cause the announced lineup doesn’t interest me at all
This year is dry as frick for games
Been playing Shredders Revenge recently. I also want to get Kirby at some point
>Pokemon Scarlet
That’s it. I mainly game on PS5.
I've already got NieR:A and P5R on PS4 but I'll probably get them again, also will get Live A Live and Shin-chan. Not bothered about anything else.
Can somebody post the switch echi switch game chart?
>ctrl + F Monster Hunter
>1 result
What's wrong with you people
lmao
games I will be playing:
>Splatoon 3
>Rabbids
>Nier
>Pac-man world remake
>Persona 5 Royal (this will be my 4th run of royal, 6th p5 playthrough overall)
Recently been playing Sonic Origins, gonna also pick up Portal because that game is mad comfy
Maybe buying Splatoon for online play, probably not because I barely played 2. Just emulate everything else, thing's a doorstop these days.
Going to sell my hackable switch. How much can I ask for it? Box and everything that came with originally
Games I want to get that I don't yet have/aren't out yet:
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land
- Metroid Dread
- Triangle Strategy
- Live a Live
- Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
- Persona 3
- Persona 4
- Persona 5
I don't want any of these games. My switch will continue to collect dust. I should just sell it at this point.
All of those, on my deck, for free.
Why are vegantrannies like this?
I love animals
