Shields are more boring than swords, and I say this as a guy who used a shield as a weapon in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.

Zacian vs Zamazenta is the most brutal mogging of all time. Even in GSC, where Ho-Oh is obviously GameFreak's favorite, Lugia is still at least decently popular. Every other box legendary duo is somewhat equal, there isn't a huge difference in popularity or shilling. For some reason in gen 8 GameFreak decided to make the Sword mascot broken, and shill it as much as they can, meanwhile they made the Shield mascot dogshit in competitive and forgettable.

Where the hell are you getting that idea? Neither of them is getting too much shilling over the other from GameFreak. Neither of them seem too popular over the other one. In competitive singles they are both the top of Ubers. The closest thing to mogging is Regulation G competitive doubles where Miraidon is doing pretty good while Koraidon is having a hard time trying to find a place in the meta without being outclassed by Groudon.
