While Playground is generally better performance-wise, it's missing a ton of mod support, I presume because they decided to host the mods in a private server rather than Steam's workshop in hopes of being able to port it to consoles or something, as a result you are very limited in the games you can play there for the time being. Also I have almost 4k hours in TTS and changing controls is like using photoshop after decades of getting used to paint or whatever lol
Yeah, just sub to the mod on the workshop like you would in L4D or whatever, it's that easy. Controls might feel weird at first but this shit is like learning Excel shortcuts, it'll be super easy once you get used to it.

I was working on a retheme/graphical overhaul for the game a few years ago to make it Touhou themed and keep the gameplay exactly the same but stopped trying when i figured out i can't into graphic design for the cards and tokens. God damn it why is drawing an appealing looking cube so difficult.
Touhou original art was rather shit, if you can use paint you can be on par with it. That or steal it from pixiv, no one cares

The art was never a problem, it's not like Sidereal Confluence has much of it. The problem is everything else. I can't keep calling the cards names like "research teams" and "converters" and the cubes "information" and "ultratech" if I wanna summon the 2hu weebs to play with me. And once you start changing names you realize there's a frickton of names to change and you will need to make a card for each of them and you can't just rip the old name out and paste a new name in because that looks ugly and so you need to remake them from scratch because there's no other way and that means you need the UI art or however its called of the cube symbols and arrows and so on into the depths of autism.
It's fine, TTS actually makes some parts faster like combat or agenda phase. But it's still a big game, even if you play to 10 points
I had some 3p and 4p games finish, and i havent played a 6p game of TI4 with Ganker folk but i hear the TI d*scord plays digitally quite a lot.

Heat is more of a deck-builder push-your-luck type game. We played the basic version but there are rules for drafting special car upgrades (cards) that you can use and make the race a lot of fun. No dice, but there is some randomness with order of cards.
No dice were rolled, you manage your hand of cards that let you move and take risks that give you HEAT, which are bad cards so the game is about taking opportunities to pass players and risk getting your engine blown out to smitherins. and don't call me Shirley
