Eh, a new player joined so teaching included. It can go surprisingly quickly at times, and can grind to a halt when rules need to be consulted.
Anyways, it's quite fun, lots of things to do.
Castille player (Yellow) is culling unrest in his nation due to the Iberian wedding and is now venturing into the New World.
French player (Blue) is consolidating France after the 100 year war (where the British were very lackadaisical about and just took a fat bribe to get rid of the French lands).
And England (Red) is.. well you see they are trying to.. uhh, I have no clue. They're gonna do the War of the Roses event, so that's cool.

Video games rotted my brain. I can't sit down and LEARN a board game because I'm so used to the game itself telling you what you can and cannot do. You could be cheating or playing a different game entirely and you wouldn't know it until you're memorize every single word in the manual.

You have other people to help you with that!

                >He is doing exactly that tho
                touche

Good question. It's a different experience and I like it a lot more than EU4 multiplayer. It being a board game it slows everything down to a very chill, no pressure environment and all the decisions carry a more palpable impact.
What's bad about it as opposed to EU4 is all the dull micromanagement the computer would do for you and the map feels lifeless without the constant ebb and flow of nations in the video game (In Price of Power they just sit around waiting to be conquered, unless you add "bots" but then there's more work to do).

Fair enough. I still think a video game-turned board game is not a good idea but vice versa is.

Indeed. Cat theming, no matter how surface level it is, always is a plus in my book. Shame a lot of cat games are color intensive (my father and best friend are both colorblind (red/green weakness)) or 2 player games (i prefer boardgaming with atleast 4 players). So finding games with cats that everyone (friend group and family group) can enjoy is a challenge.

That was the very first thing I thought too with the knight, but then the other card made me think of a magic act, with the knight one being the library for obvious reasons.

        >, but then the other card
Ive played this game a ton during lockdown with friends (to the point most cards have a specific meaning because it was used in some weird way in a game before and that stuck with people.) and overthinking is what killed almost every run.
        >hey, he gave a card with a horse, i must have the jockey. But wait, maybe he means the racecar since thats also something that goes fast
<other people jump in and say he has the racecar because some shitty nonsense hint somehow relates someone else to the jockey

Yeah I think during all 3 games we ended up screwing each other by presenting ideas that changed people minds but most of the times both were wrong lol. Other times though, the help made everybody go like pic related. It's a pretty great game.
