Just beat this for the first time and its easy to see why this is considered one of the greats. Sure there are quite a bit of annoying stuff like the crafting, recruitment of certain characters being tied to a value you can't see and only know how to gauge if you look up a guide and balancing between classes being absolutely fricked with some being useless (swordmasters) and others being stupidly broken (ninjas, shaman etc) but overall its a fantastic game from story to gameplay. I'm hoping the remake coming up is able to sell well enough that we actually get a sequel that revolves the blueballing of a cliffhanger this left us on in regards to Lancelot and the other Lodis knights.
What do you think of this classic /vrpg/?
the only version I liked playing was the chronicle valeria hack of the snes game (translation never ever), all other versions have too many mechanical problems to be enjoyable to me
plot wise, kachua is a dumb b***h no matter which route you take and neutral route should be improved

PSP remake is looking much better, have expanded story, great translation, plenty extra characters but I fricking hate class system and MMO item tiers and that you can't make generics into killer machines/gods of war

The Saga isn’t complete. LuCT is just a chapter in it.
The only other series of games that did such a good job creating, expanding and exploring such a believable and interesting world is Suikoden. And…Kiseki, supposedly. I ain’t touching that.
I'm pretty excited to play the remake. I'm glad it leaked out cause I was thinking of replaying it recently. I've beat FFT a few times on PSP and on Phone, only ever played LUCT on phone emulator the one time.

well if it's a remake i hope we get new routes. i want an extreme 90s edge route where you kill absolutely everyone and Denim is the only unit you can control. i guess you could tame monsters but only the edgy ones like skellies.
The way the classes leveled individually in the PSP version felt so shit who the frick came up with it?

Same thing with any newly unlocked class, they don't feel like upgrades, but liabilities
And also if a character levels up as a class they get bonus stats, so characters you get later on get way behind the ones who were brought up from the beginning
