tips?
Look up a guide on how the chaos frame works, and keep a mental note on what value you're at if you want to recruit certain characters.
recruit two dragons as early as physically possible, elements don't super matter
make a dragon squad of 1 dragoon, two dragons
use this squad to rape face for about 2/3rds of the game
similarly, look into sorc/wizard combos
honestly i'm tempted to say peek at a guide for some gameplay stuff, not to obsessively follow it by the numbers, but because there's so much cool shit you can just not encounter at fricking all
you need high chaos frame to recruit all the good characters. it's like a hidden reputation stat. basically only capture lawful towns with lawful units and chaotic towns with chaotic units. also be careful making units too strong because killing enemies with lower levels will make a unit more chaotic.

I never understood why Tactic ogre became the popular game when ogre battle is far superior.
They need to make a lot of changes for this remake but the number one for me is re-balancing the classes. There's a whole weapon type in this game being 2 handed katana that get no use because they can only be used by the worst class in the game swordmaster. Also make Chaos Frame an actual value you can see in game. TO is probably my favorite game of all time but god damn it has a lot of stupid bullshit in its game design
After playing the one vision mod I can't feel hyped for reborn because of all the rebalancing. There's no way Square would be able to do that good of a job.

Major overhaul to classes, weapons, and crafting. Skill lvling is way simpler and won't take 300hrs to gain one lvl.
I only played the psp remake but it definitely had the worst implementation of the ogre battle class system. I spent forever unlocking an angel knight only to find out they were just a shitty flying tank and couldn't use jihad like in the other games.

2. when replaying scenarios/routes from the...Wheel of Fortune or what was it called, letting me replay from the very start. I remember in PSP version I had to skip first few missions to replay on same saveslot
3. rework crafting - the most important one, and the one I expect the least to happen
4. some class rebalancing could be nice, but whatever
5. bit silly, but some cool profile backgrounds for Steam, with the drawn artwork. not some sprites or other shit

They had two waves of Tactics Ogre gear in the game I believe.
It doesn't look nearly as good as Akihiko Yoshida's art as expected, but I still liked it.
He must've done something to her to fix her mental instability within a single fricking cutscene.
Something I remember being cool about the game is the sheer number of classes. I remember wanting at least a couple of non-human units so I went through some trouble to recruit a Lamia as a Matriarch.
But then I also remember not being able to use all of the ones I wanted to due to limited slots. So I would hope the remake could come up with a best-of-both-world situations without completely destroying the balance or anything like that.

It's actually criminal how long it takes to get her and how easy it is to miss the opportunity. She should've been recruitable right after the first chapter.
Once the game comes to PC, there will definitely be mods that will allow you to recruit her if you refuse to participate in the massacre.
I wonder how much can mods interfere with the story, though.
It's not dubbed, so altering dialogues and cutscenes should be easier, if well written.
