>new classes starting from level 1 >new recruits forgetting six of their skills including the skill slots, level 4 spells and summons >neutral route needs better recruits >increase difficulty in general
We don't know which game they are remaking. If it's the PSP version then is a good start (btw there are cheats to fix most of that, search the archive of the board for _C0 or other cwcheat syntax), along with removing/fixing numerous other "because frick you that's why" things they've put in there. Like the suicidal story-critical NPCs, bosses being immune to almost everything and the absolute garbage mechanic that is stealing.
yep, you're thinking of lodis, that game had some good ideas
too bad they scrapped the systems from the snes game and lodis instead of improving upon them
route needs better recruits
neutral route exists to punish you for being a pussy with a dumb story and no uniques. Either go full moralchad or lawfriend, no half measures.
Neutral Route needs to be rewritten to be actually interesting. Since Chaos is Denam sticking true to his ideals and Lawful is Denam choosing being pragmatic over idealist, the Neutral Route should focus in how Denam is slowly forced to surrender his ideal and finding a way to balance his Idealism with the cruel reality of the war
Better sprites with more details at least up in par to FInal Fantasy Tactics' PSX ones.
Less grinding.
More classes, or if not that, less stupid requirements for the ones already existing. Whoever thought Warlock's requirement needs to be shot.
They need to add an option that gives you all the classes at once and fast leveling. Also fast forward. And save states. And you should be able to skip missions.
Maybe SE (it is them, right?) doesn't think that there's as much of a market for RTSs? They do have that upcoming one, so maybe its success could see a remake of Ogre Battle and Ogre Battle 64.
There should really be more restriction on the chariot system or at least more of a cost/penalty to excessive use of it other than missing out on some titles.
I never touched it after I realized what it was all about and that you were MEANT to use it. I played without it all three times I went through the game. It just ruins the entire feel of a tactical game, you stop caring about decisions as much when you know you can just undo them instantly.
It's the same as how updated dungeon crawlers allow you to QUICK SAVE every fricking step. There's a reason the tension gets built before a big fight. You REALLY don't want to screw that shit up.
>There should really be more restriction on the chariot system
Okay, then take out ALL of the dumb shit that needs RNG grinding like the 12 heavenly generals or super rare equipment, because the chariot system is the only thing that makes it bearable.
Just as a reremake without changing content per se
>Cut out crafting rng, rebalance money exploits accordingly >Enable mass production or make thrown weapons infinite. >greatly increase poaching loot and make the loot more specific to each monster >Speed up the skill xp grind holy shit man. >Give certain classes passive +1 to some weapons, so more characters have finishers right off the bat >Add a weaker reaver ring that you can just purchase >Replace the rng of rare item hunting with bringing specific characters or pulling unique dialogue out of people in certain fights. >If they don't want a moneysink to solve reputation problems, make a soul-crushing minigame that makes more in-game sense than death march >Show a symbol to note that a set effect is activated >Give katana users a way to control whether they knockback >Reduce RT delay of some of the crappier/costlier ability schools >Make golems deal with armor pen better >Do something useful with Gordian Key and Dragon's Wound >Buff healcraft and make it also buff healing received >Make the shaman girls better at their element.
oh yeah, characters in the soldier office should come with more than 100 skill points
What's the use of being able to recruit a lv 20 knight when he has no skills, or skill slots and the level 20 knight you've been raising from the beginning has 10 000 skill points worth of skills
maybe make it possible to adjust a recruit's skill points for a price
Sony shut down the PS Store for PSP games, and SE has no way to sell the remake anymore.
I'm just surprised that there have not been any leaks for the Switch version (PC version was in the GeForce Now leak, PS4 version in the PS Store leak) which would be the #1 candidate to port the remake to.
Please do something about CF or at least make it so recruiting certain characters isn't tied to it. Doing this shit for 30 minutes is so stupid. Also hopefully it gets announced at the nintendo direct tomorrow
>What do they need to change to make a re-remake worth buying
Just wholesale lift the FIGHTITOUT voiceclip from Knight of Lodis and I don't care what else you do
Use the SNES/PSX version as the base game
Import some of the changes from the PSP remake but modified, eg merging Witch/Wizard, finishers, skills, etc
Reduce the inane grinding
Add Ravness/Cressida/etc

I see no reason for them to not just update the PSP one. Unless this is a massive remake built from the ground up but I doubt it
>>new classes starting from level 1
I thought you could spend extra at the recruitment office to level them up, or am I thinking of Lodis?

that's kinda lame since neutral is the only route where denam behaves sorta like a reel youman bean with flaws
A physical release
That's not a change, it's already in physical.
>literally dump the translated snes rom
that's it, that's how you fix TO

why do they still pretend the other ogre battle games don't exist

Diofield Chronicle looks pretty dope actually.
Do we know any of the staff working on it? I could only find the main artist

Whats the point of this with the flawed PSP remake already existing?
Make a new episode already

nothing will make it worth it because the snes version on emulator exists and is the best version
They only need to take the original release and port it to PC with a built in CRT emulator.
What are the main differences between SNES and PSP?
I only played PSP and the archers were broken as frick, yet the minmaxing felt overwhelming

One Vision mod looks nice
Won't change a thing. Likely just a straight port with a HD UI for modern platforms. Hopefully FFT is next.

Just give me some retconned brother sister incest.
And baby making as well.
It's very easy to please me.
