>was made for Wii U hardware in mind, and porting it would be a hassle
Breath of the Wild was made for Wii U hardware as well, and the dev's themselves said porting to the Switch was easy.
?t=3141
AS usual, you're a fricking moron that knows nothing.
They ported BOTW while they were working on it and they knew that they were going to make a Switch Port eventually so they designed everything with that in mind, it's not the same deal because Xenoblade X was finished in 2015, and going back to it would probably be a pain in the ass, that game was pretty complex and probably had a lot of things hard-coded to work on Wii U only, a Port would be doable but it wouldn't be trivial
Anon that's something they thought would be worth more money to erase the Wii U features and release on Switch and they were right. It's a complete different situation because the Switch wasn't out yet and it was beneficial to have a decent launch title to sell systems you moron.
Probably means in terms of revenue a XCX port would see. I don't think there's enough of a demand for one to be made, especially given the game's sales and lukewarm reviews.
>outsold the original
Black person what >During its opening week, Xenoblade Chronicles reached the top of Japan's gaming charts, selling 80,000 units.[155] By the end of 2010, the game had sold over 161,000 copies, making it the eighth best-selling Wii game of the year, and eventually reached almost 200,000 units by the end of 2013 >The game was the third best-selling game during its release week in Japan, selling around 85,000 copies.[84] During its second week and third week, it sold over 11,000 and 2,000 copies respectively.[85][86] In addition to its physical copies, the game garnered nearly 23,000 digital copies during May 2015. It was the most downloaded title in Japan for the month of May, largely surpassing other titles such as Minecraft, Bravely Second: End Layer, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.[87] As of June 2015, 110,000 physical copies had been sold.[88] By the end of the year, a total of 114,665 were sold in Japan.[89]
It did outsold the original globally by a bit, but that's because 1 had a very limited NA release and was exclusive to Gamestop in burgerland for whatever stupid reason.
Let me explain to you morons what he means when he says that it would too expensive.
It doesn't literally mean that it would cost A LOT of money, it means that they have done their research and found out that a XCX port wouldn't make the money back because it wouldn't sell enough to be profitable.
Whenever a dev says a port is "too expensive" or "too difficult", they literally mean "there is not enough interest, not enough people are asking for it". It has nothing to do with the actual cost and certainly nothing to do with switch being too weak, and I am saying this as a Snoy.
There is no company that hates money, if the port was gonna make money they would have ported it already. This bullshit about the game being made for the Wii U hardware is pure cope and OP's bullshit about switch not being strong enough is just shitposting.
With cutting edge graphical fidelity having such diminishing returns nowadays, a Switch sequel with the leaked specs we've gotten could potentially be all you need vidya-wise. Also XCX becoming a seven-figure seller would be nice.
>Switch sequel with the leaked specs we've gotten could potentially be all you need vidya-wise
If it has an x86 CPU and is soft hackeable maybe. If you can't even install linux on it it's fricked.
Either a Switch Pro or a Switch 2
Or hell, maybe both. I could see them introducing a Switch Pro at $350, making the OLED the standard Switch model at $300 and then releasing a Switch 2 for $400
Is X really that good? I've only played 1 and 2.
It was extremely itself. It was a sci-fi mecha open world game about an intergalactic space war and humanity settling a new planet.
It lacked certain other qualities, but it did a great job immersing you in its setting and letting you roleplay as some schmuck in this new world
I hope they don't make a switch 2 because the switch I have right now is hacked and I like using it for free. Newer models switch can't be hacked and I doubt switch 2 will either.
Probably not
BOTW2 will probably just target higher resolution and framerates on Switch 2 than on Switch. But I could see BOTW2 targeting the same benchmarks as BOTW on the OG Switch
Switch Pro gays have been the worst part about owning a Switch since it first came out. Get a fricking PC or something already. There aren't enough resources for a new console.
Isn't the reason it would be expensive literally just because it would need a 32 gig cartridge and they don't want to shell out for it, or make it digital? Also Nintendo doesn't own the music for X right? Don't they need to pay to use it each time? (Which is so far, only once, in Xenoblade 2)
>Switch isnt powerful enough
Literally what is this fricking cope, the Switch is more powerful than the fricking Wii U who the frick are they trying to fool
You people are very dumb.
If you read the full interview Takahashi makes no reference to the Switch being too weak.
In actuality he states that porting Xenoblade X would cost the same as a full on remake, or just about as much, thus a port would be pointless (as in he rather do a full on remake of X, for obvious reasons if you played the game).
Either way by this point we'll not get X remade on Switch anyhow as even if it was in development atm it'd not be ready for 2024 most likely, very slim chance for late 2023. Which is when the switch2 most likely will be released.
1 still holds up despite how old it is, more so when playing on Dolphin or DE, but 2 definitely looks way better than it.
3 isn't even out, so you can't say it looks worse than anything, though judging by the previews it is likely going to look better than 2.
X is the best looking one, yes.
By what metric? Just because you keep repeating it doesn't make it true.
Subjectively? ok, that's fair.
Objectively, there's more going on in each subsequent game, like volumetric grass, more detailed models, better draw distance and better texture work.
X was all about the world design at the expense of everything else so no wonder it is the best looking one, but it still cuts a lot of corners, such as the use of flat 2D grass textures and very aggressive pop in.
2 and 3 don't have good implementations of volumetric fog or clouds, they're extremely low res. The painted sky boxes of 1 and X look better than anything in 2 or 3. Grass stops rendering 30 cm away from you and unlike 1 and X it exposes the repeating textures on the ground which looks very distracting.
In terms of environments the landscapes themselves stop drawing shadows in the distance which makes them look extremely flat, unlike 1 and X which had painted shadows on the textures to make them all look good in the distance.
1 and X also had more detailed water.
Isn't the reason it would be expensive literally just because it would need a 32 gig cartridge and they don't want to shell out for it, or make it digital? Also Nintendo doesn't own the music for X right? Don't they need to pay to use it each time? (Which is so far, only once, in Xenoblade 2)
the real reason why they won't bother is several issues. cartridges is one. music licensing is another. in addition they would have to port the game to nintendos new network on switch instead of wiiu/3ds system which they probably have zero crew members for that if you understand that nintendo (or japan in general) is ages behind in networking.
Best exploration in an XC title to date, but the story leaves a lot to be desired and it also has some of the absolute worst characters in the series in it's ranks.
Yes. Doesn't change anything I said. All the affinity side quests are short fetch quests where 99% of the time is spent travelling, with painfully dull cutscenes with mannequin tier animations at the beginning.
Monolith sucks at designing side content and X is no exception to the rule.

Well i can't deny that characters are not the strong suit of this game. You are most probably right.
I just enjoying everything else around, starting with the mood/soundtrack/
Even the story, even if quite basic, i liked a lot. I can get that people don't like it.
>Every single chapter starts with a "hahah what if we ate Tatsu???" joke >Lao is the only character who gets any sort of development and then leaves your party permanently because he betrays you. >Stuck with Elma and Lin in your party for the entire game.
Also this was the most grindy non-Disgaea game I've ever played. None of it was mandatory, but outside of the story the only thing you have to do is grind. To make any sort of set you need to grind very specific enemies tucked away in very specific locations 100x to make a single augment for one character.
The pop-in is fricking disgusting, anytime you target anything (building, enemy, item, anything) it starts flashing different colors. The balance is all over the place, the superbosses are just "one shot me, or I will one shot you" glass cannon gear checks, the story is backloaded everything into one room in the very last chapter of the game and the story ends when you expect the 2nd of 3 acts to start.
Very mediocre game, XCX wienersuckers literally only wank it because barely anyone has played it. At least it's better than 2.
So you didn't enjoy the game, and you're saying xeno 2 is worse (which i agree with), did you even like Xenoblade 1 ?
Maybe it's just not your type of game

The Wii U version needs a ton of downloadable patches to not have horrendous texture loading issues. I remember waiting in front of a building for 1 minute for it to stop being a blurry jaggy polygon.

I loved XC1, played it 3 times. That's why I got XCX and XC2. XCX is just whatever, XC2 is shit. Not going to bother with XC3.
I wanted to see if X would fit in the timeline or something but I just can't trudge through this shit much longer.
Xenoblade 1 was more shonen, action oriented, i really liked it too. I hope xeno 3 will be good enough to appeal to you again,

>I hope xeno 3 will be good enough to appeal to you again,
XB3 appeals to none of us because it's a 2 rehash
"Hey guys I'm redoing the Project Noah story...for the 4th or 5th time, but HEY! Its got mechs!, Its got expys from Xenogears AND Xenosaga! AND....I'm never going to do anything with the story again and only did it for the 'Gears/'Saga fans to shut the frick up!"
WOOOOOOOHHH!! Sick burn anon, and a well-done impersonation of the derpy dev of this game! Well played...
Anon, when people play a game that have a story, it's the story that usual that tells the truth of the characters, and you see their true personality shine during certain moments. X doesn't really have that type of story. It doesn't really show the characters at their worst and their best. I can't remember who it was, but Lin told the commander there is a character that fight suicidal because she lost her brother, but we never see that in-game or in their sidequest (we told this during the final act of the story), despite the game being huge on those. This game is literally Sidequest the game, yet even then, it still fails to show everything in them. At best, it's a game that one plays at their own leisure because it does more of a tell than show.
They do have a personality. At least Lin, Elma, Doug, Yelv and Boze have a personality. Their character arcs are in their affinity missions. That said, since the start it was clear that these characters (except Lao) wouldnt be important to the plot. That's a better approach than 2 where Morag and Zeke were barely relevant, and even Tora was nearly abandoned in favor of giving Poppi a line or two every once in a while.
Even then X is superior. Skells are the best open world vehicle I've experienced. Running and jumping also feels much better in X. The atmosphere in X also feels very sci-fi while 2 has no real atmosphere.
Why was XB2 literally one of the worst and stupidest games ever made? Bros?
2's world was not memorable in the slightest and 3's doesn't look any better. X was great because they focused on making a great world to run around in 1st and story was not the priority. 2 and 3 are anime series first. I just don't care about dumb teenagers in jrpgs anymore.
Chad. X2 and X3 made many gamers, such as myself, realise we were too old for dumb anime shits anymore, so we abandoned it for actually mature games that respect our intelligents.

A number of these technical problems were patched.
There are 4 main story characters.
One is a mute self-insert protag
The second is the stoic leader type
And the remaining two are gobshite comedy relief sidekicks that drill the same joke into your fricking skull ad infinitum
All the villains, save for the one traitor party member are garbage and have no definable character traits besides being the bad guys.
There's some great side-content and exploration in there, but if you go in expecting to like the story or main characters like 1 or 2 you're just gonna be disappointed.
>Every single chapter starts with a "hahah what if we ate Tatsu???" joke >Lao is the only character who gets any sort of development and then leaves your party permanently because he betrays you. >Stuck with Elma and Lin in your party for the entire game.

3 has even less atmosphere then 2 from what we seen.
My theory is that the Mira of X is the old world of the 1, 2, 3 Trilogy, and that Noah eventually led the majority of the people off that world onto a New Earth, with some people splintering off into other galaxies like the Gormotti types going off to evolve into the Wrothians over the eons. The humans Noah led to Earth get attacked and thus they run and manage to find their way to Mira.
I hope that 2 flops so that this series dies tbh...

This. 2 and 3 were so kiddy with their Japanesey presentation and graphics. 1 and X was so successful among us because they had actual adult styles. I'm not buying 3 and neither is many of us here.

2 sold over 2 million copies - when even a million was the most in series history. And that was before Pyra and Mythra became Smash reps and gave the game an even big bump. It charted again Japan after 3's announcement too.
>XCX wienersuckers literally only wank it because barely anyone has played it.
You're such a c**t. You know damn well people like it for the side quests, world design, combat and presentation.
Best exploration in an XC title to date, but the story leaves a lot to be desired and it also has some of the absolute worst characters in the series in it's ranks.
It's my favorite one among all the Xenoblade, best gameplay, best exploration
The characters are cool, mostly based on side quests, you can choose which character and which side quests to complete to advance in the story.
Imo one of the best soundtrack, but some people don't like it.
I recommend trying.
It's cool as frick but the game play is lame. You basically suck ass till you finish the game, then have the option to grind and combine OP items and skills that let you one shot gorrillion HP bosses. To do this you have to be an omega gamer that datamines the game to skew the odds in your favor and lern all teh secrets and cheese it.
It also feels like it's missing a lot of stuff.
The exploration is probably at its best in X and the mechas kick ass. Combat's better than 1. I hated most of the story but there's some really nice nuggets even if the main 3 is basically unsufferable.
I like it the least of the three current xenoblades, since the story sucks. It's still a good game though, and it has probably the best side content out of all three games. A lot of the music was done by the kill la kill composer too, so that's pretty good.
It's got by far the best exploration and sidequests in the series, and the multiplayer is fun to mess around with. It's an excellent game even if it shifts its focus in different directions than mainline Xenoblade
It's the best Xeno game, none of the others come close unless you have nostalgia for them. The story isn't even bad, it's just unfinished and told in a drab manner, and everything else is a 10/10
I don't know what I'm missing with XCX. I played up until you got the mech and it just never clicked for me. The story just wasn't grabbing me at all compared to the other Xenoblade games.
It also REALLY suffers from being an MMO-lite in the sense that 99% of the things you are doing are generic fetch quests / kill X monster quests.
I think the intention is that you'll pick up a few quests and then frick off to explore until you happen to complete them.
Especially the collection quests. No way you could do them in any reasonable time without the wiki
But what even is there to explore outside of the odd named monster or trying to expand the internet thing? The world is pretty but I got the same feeling that I had when playing through FFXIV. There just wasn't much to do in it
I always turn to MMOs simply because of the sense of scale. I can't really think of a single player game with worthwhile exploration to be honest.
However I had the same issue with XCX as I do with most MMOs is the second you get certain traversal options, it kind of kills all sense of exploration. Flying mounts killed WoW for me in the same way the robot kind of killed XCX for me if that makes sense.
And don't misunderstand me, I don't think something like WoW is a better video game. I just think MMOs are really the only types of games that capture the feeling of a greater world. I much prefer something like FFXI and the sense of danger you get from its world.
It's legit one of my favourite games. The price of entry is 5-10 hours of "learn by doing" but the pay off is incredible. Some of the most rewarding exploration and battle systems ever is in video games.
They already tripled their staff since X. They probably need them working BotW2 and other major Nintendo titles that they can't complete and don't want them tying up half the staff for a year or two porting a 7 year old game that won't sell when they need work on flagship titles and new entries in legacy franchises that are all way behind.
>Switch isnt powerful enough
Literally what is this fricking cope, the Switch is more powerful than the fricking Wii U who the frick are they trying to fool
It's a masterpiece of triple scaled level design. Takahashi complained about losing some map designers in the middle of development for 2 (most likely to work on BotW) and you could see the drop off in quality and ambition in the maps there at a single glance.
Who wrote Xenogears & Xenosaga 1? If Xenoblade X2 had the kind of writing and characters as those games it would be far and away the greatest game ever made
The Wii U version needs a ton of downloadable patches to not have horrendous texture loading issues. I remember waiting in front of a building for 1 minute for it to stop being a blurry jaggy polygon.

>It genuinely looks more complex than 2, which doesnt have a single traversable map.
2 bearly has any gameplay besides spamming buttons, and weebshit. It gets worst and worst every day. It's Ganker's most hated game of the 2010s for a reason.
2's world was not memorable in the slightest and 3's doesn't look any better. X was great because they focused on making a great world to run around in 1st and story was not the priority. 2 and 3 are anime series first. I just don't care about dumb teenagers in jrpgs anymore.
I thought X takes place in a different planet, why would things from earth be in a totally different planet? don't tell me they time traveled by mistake
They clearly want to overhaul the game like Xenoblade 1. For X, that would take a lot more effort, so it makes sense they want to at minimum finish the current trilogy before touching X again. Besides, if they want it would likely hit around the ten year anniversary and on a new console. That seems like a far better direction than rushing out a port late into the Switch.
>Nintendo won't even offer funding to help port over Xenoblade X
>but will happily partner with Blackrock instead to help them nickle and dime their customers that they're already leeching off of because they can't get enough
X was a failure, accept it. Look how Nintendo immediately ordered Sakurai to skip X and put theuch more successful xbc2 characters in Smash (Nintendo decided the DLC this time).
What the frick are you talking about, X is the most woke pozzed xenoblade game. The game is super censored and the protagonists is strong black woman wearing Mexican outfit
>the game is super censored
there's only three things that got censored >fundoshi turned into briefs >breast slider >lin had more modest versions of skimpy outfits
in exchange the game has the most custom skimpy outfits of any xenogame, especially after 2 relegated them to only DLC and 3 just threw jackets at everyone
censorship is not only about coomer stuff dumbo, they removed all the references and adds tons of dumb changes like BLADE acronym and SKELL

Yes it's censorship when there's a reason why the mecha called DOLL, heck they made a short story where they explain the reason. Same with Beyond Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator it's description of what they are: an agency that'll free humanity from the false destiny that has been created by the Ganglion. Unlike word salad that NOA came up with

To this day Skell and the moronic justification make me angry.
There's also multiple religious names being censored in X (like in Xeno 2), even fricking Testament was too much for NoA to leave as is in Xeno X.

>even fricking Testament was too much for NoA to leave as is in Xeno X.
Testament being removed is probably more to do with it being directly from Xenosaga, like Avalanche (Harrier) being from FF7.
XB3 is so obviously being funded by Blackrock, it's so woke and pozzed, more than many western games. XBX is the last Xeno game to me and many users here
I mean, the Wii U was barely powerful enough. XBX eked out literally every ounce of power the Wii U had to offer and was only able to manage 30fps 720p. That was after nearly a decade of working on the same architecture.
Moving to the Switch and having to port their (presumably) in-house engine takes time and has its own learning curve.
But also, TAkahashi didn't say the Switch wasn't powerful enough. Just that it would be costly to develop the port. Which, again, makes sense. For instance, if you had a computer that ran on binary and a computer that ran on trinary, it would be costly to port any program or programming language from one to the other just because of the difference in the hardware.
Similar concept applies to porting software designed for x86 systems to an ARM system
Switch hardware really is ass and I expect Xenoblade 3 to run worse than 2. One of the reasons I am not getting it anytime soon. I am tired of Nintendo being so cheap. Next system needs to be decent.
I just want a new IP. Xenoblade 3 is so boring I don't want another one. >omg break topple, chain attack
adding really shit looking robot fusions isn't an improvement, and it just screams fake people/world which disinterests me greatly.
>fake people/world
This is a weird nitpick because the worlds of both XB1 and 2 are products of the same demiurge figure. Hell, Deus pulled the same shit in Xenogears, with all the fake people it priduced that turn into Wels. And Xenoblade X has the whole mimeosome thing. Fake people and contrived worlds have always been a thing in Xeno games. 3 is just being more upfront about it, it seems.
>the Wii U is somehow stronger than the Switch
It is though. I dropped my Wii U off my stairs and it was fine. My switch simply fell off its dock and the joycons broke.
>the gamepad lags
God the range on the Wii U is fricking abysmal. I got one to hack because people kept saying how easy it is and I found one online for like 70 bucks.
I literally can only play it in the same room as my TV. I tried picking it up and carrying it in the other room to play and the thing just completely shits the bed. Has a range of like 10 feet, why is Nintendo constantly 20 years behind in technology. Bluetooth has been out for decades now
>expensive
Ports cost money, dumbfrick. XCX was made for Wii U hardware in mind, and porting it would be a hassle.
>was made for Wii U hardware in mind, and porting it would be a hassle
I don't think there's enough of a demand for one to be made, especially given the game's sales and lukewarm reviews.
>especially given the game's sales and lukewarm reviews.
Yeah, it only outsold the original and scored better than the sequel.
>outsold the original
Black person what
>During its opening week, Xenoblade Chronicles reached the top of Japan's gaming charts, selling 80,000 units.[155] By the end of 2010, the game had sold over 161,000 copies, making it the eighth best-selling Wii game of the year, and eventually reached almost 200,000 units by the end of 2013
>The game was the third best-selling game during its release week in Japan, selling around 85,000 copies.[84] During its second week and third week, it sold over 11,000 and 2,000 copies respectively.[85][86] In addition to its physical copies, the game garnered nearly 23,000 digital copies during May 2015.
He's talking about the servers for the online. They don't want to pay for shit.
More complicated than that.
Port = low sales + cost of porting + relative cost of a remaster in comparison is not much.
What year was this interview done in?
2018, so early into the Switch's life
Don't worry, they're announcing the Switch Pro soon.
TWO MORE WEEKS FOR THE SWITCH PRO
Either a Switch Pro or a Switch 2
Or hell, maybe both. I could see them introducing a Switch Pro at $350, making the OLED the standard Switch model at $300 and then releasing a Switch 2 for $400
It was extremely itself. It was a sci-fi mecha open world game about an intergalactic space war and humanity settling a new planet.
It lacked certain other qualities, but it did a great job immersing you in its setting and letting you roleplay as some schmuck in this new world
I hope they won't make a Switch 2 because that would mean that BOTW2 will have worse performance on my Switch
Nintendo does not do console upgrades half way into its lifespan like sony and microsoft do
>Nintendo does not do console upgrades half way into its lifespan like sony and microsoft do
What is the DSi and New 3DS then?
>New 3DS then?
You mean the thing they made exactly O N E (1) exclusive for before realizing no one was buying it and went back to the regular 3ds afterwards?
They also made Fire Emblem: Warriors, The Binding of Isaac, and Minecraft exclusive to the New 3DS.
Switch Pro gays have been the worst part about owning a Switch since it first came out. Get a fricking PC or something already. There aren't enough resources for a new console.
>Xenoblade Chronicles X port would be too expensive to make.
>So instead we will remake it in time for the new console! Please look forward to it,
You people are very dumb.
Well that's obvious. 2 and 3 look worse than 1 and X, and I don't think it's because monolith got worse at making pretty environments.
>2 and 3 look worse than 1
source?
I'm currently replaying it. That's my source. 2 and 3 environments look like shit.
> 2 and 3 look worse than 1
What the actual frick are you smoking?
Go back to twitter to defend your favorite shitty games that everyone on Ganker hates.
Frick off BlunZ! You ruined Xenoblade discourse on Ganker!!
1 still holds up despite how old it is, more so when playing on Dolphin or DE, but 2 definitely looks way better than it.
3 isn't even out, so you can't say it looks worse than anything, though judging by the previews it is likely going to look better than 2.
X is the best looking one, yes.
In terms of environments 2 and 3 do look worse than 1 and X.
1 and X also had more detailed water.
>and I don't think it's because monolith got worse at making pretty environments
idk man have you seen how Definitive Edition fricked up the areas?
No?
DE looks fricking incredible, why bother trying to push this meme?
>Implying this looks worse
Now show the Mechonis Core comparisons
Isn't the reason it would be expensive literally just because it would need a 32 gig cartridge and they don't want to shell out for it, or make it digital? Also Nintendo doesn't own the music for X right? Don't they need to pay to use it each time? (Which is so far, only once, in Xenoblade 2)
I'm pretty sure the question was misinterpreted as asking for a remake instead of a port.
How does that affect either of the potential problems mentioned in my post?
the real reason why they won't bother is several issues. cartridges is one. music licensing is another. in addition they would have to port the game to nintendos new network on switch instead of wiiu/3ds system which they probably have zero crew members for that if you understand that nintendo (or japan in general) is ages behind in networking.
They can just compose an entirely new soundtrack. Literally nothing of value would be lost.
Is X really that good? I've only played 1 and 2.
It's an actual single player mmo with one of the worst soundtracks of all time and the worst story and characters in the franchise.
It's a solid what the frick were they thinking/10
What's so bad about the characters?
No personality
They look like secondary npcs
No involvement in the story whatsoever aside from 1 character
No character arc for any of them
You know you need to do their side quests to recruit them, and play their side quests to learn about them, right ?
troony pedophiles don't play games they watch e-celebs and form opinions from them
So you didn't enjoy the game, and you're saying xeno 2 is worse (which i agree with), did you even like Xenoblade 1 ?
Maybe it's just not your type of game
Xenoblade 1 was more shonen, action oriented, i really liked it too. I hope xeno 3 will be good enough to appeal to you again,
>I hope xeno 3 will be good enough to appeal to you again,
XB3 appeals to none of us because it's a 2 rehash
Why was XB2 literally one of the worst and stupidest games ever made? Bros?
>Every single chapter starts with a "hahah what if we ate Tatsu???" joke
>Lao is the only character who gets any sort of development and then leaves your party permanently because he betrays you.
>At least it's better than 2.
Absolutely not. As much as you can say about the Core Crystal system, the Equipment grinding autism in X is so much worse.
Even then X is superior. Skells are the best open world vehicle I've experienced. Running and jumping also feels much better in X. The atmosphere in X also feels very sci-fi while 2 has no real atmosphere.
2's world was not memorable in the slightest and 3's doesn't look any better. X was great because they focused on making a great world to run around in 1st and story was not the priority. 2 and 3 are anime series first. I just don't care about dumb teenagers in jrpgs anymore.
3 is gonna be the worst game of 2022! With its stupid anime plot, repetative gameplay, and annoying flute music!
3 has even less atmosphere then 2 from what we seen.
I hope that 2 flops so that this series dies tbh...
>X was great because they focused on making a great world to run around in 1st and story was not the priority. 2 and 3 are anime series first
This. 2 and 3 were so kiddy with their Japanesey presentation and graphics. 1 and X was so successful among us because they had actual adult styles. I'm not buying 3 and neither is many of us here.
(me)
WTF??? I said "desu", NOT "desu"
>3 has even less atmosphere then 2 from what we seen.
It looks roughly the same right now, but it has potential. At the very least they have more experience with the Switch now and Torna showed that they can be creative
The only good Nopon is a cut content Nopon. They're terrible characters. Every single one.
It's incredible, but not for the same reasons as the first Xenoblade.
10/10 in every aspect except for Story, basically a rich man's Phantasy Star Online. Still better than Breath of the Ubishit or Nu-Sona
It's different, less history, more exploration
The exploration is probably at its best in X and the mechas kick ass. Combat's better than 1. I hated most of the story but there's some really nice nuggets even if the main 3 is basically unsufferable.
"Hey guys I'm redoing the Project Noah story...for the 4th or 5th time, but HEY! Its got mechs!, Its got expys from Xenogears AND Xenosaga! AND....I'm never going to do anything with the story again and only did it for the 'Gears/'Saga fans to shut the frick up!"
shut up and take my money!
X is the best one.
>Side quest where a human pulls a gun on one of our new alien allies
>Can stand by and let them die
One of the rare JRPGs that's an actual RPG.
>A teammate who is an alien is pleased by you doing this
absolutely lmao.
I like it the least of the three current xenoblades, since the story sucks. It's still a good game though, and it has probably the best side content out of all three games. A lot of the music was done by the kill la kill composer too, so that's pretty good.
Know those mechs they made a big deal of? Useless because your character can infinite overdrive doing infinite damage while being invincible forever.
There just wasn't much to do in it
What game do you enjoy the exploration in?
I can't think of any game that does it better than x
>Nintendo won’t give us any money, shit
They already tripled their staff since X. They probably need them working BotW2 and other major Nintendo titles that they can't complete and don't want them tying up half the staff for a year or two porting a 7 year old game that won't sell when they need work on flagship titles and new entries in legacy franchises that are all way behind.
>2 X threads up at the same time in 2022
Well that's unlikely.
>Switch isnt powerful enough
Literally what is this fricking cope, the Switch is more powerful than the fricking Wii U who the frick are they trying to fool
You are just falling for shitpost.
I have an easier time seeing the Switch running Nier Automata than I do seeing it run this and not melting.
Most groundbreaking game of the last 15 years
It's a masterpiece of triple scaled level design.
I loved XC1, played it 3 times. That's why I got XCX and XC2. XCX is just whatever, XC2 is shit. Not going to bother with XC3.
I wanted to see if X would fit in the timeline or something but I just can't trudge through this shit much longer.
The switch is more powerful than the wii u. It would just require work to make it happen. Work that they are likely not willing to put into this.
I imagine that X was already very hard to optimize for the Wii U. It genuinely looks more complex than 2, which doesnt have a single traversable map.
>It genuinely looks more complex than 2, which doesnt have a single traversable map.
2 bearly has any gameplay besides spamming buttons, and weebshit. It gets worst and worst every day. It's Ganker's most hated game of the 2010s for a reason.
Based grown out of anime cringe anon
You could easily do a remaster of this and it would still be impressive to most new players.
wait, it's that the Bionis horrn?
Probably the remnants of Uraya's corpse, considering it seems like the remnants of the Mechonis Sword are in Oblivia.
I thought X takes place in a different planet, why would things from earth be in a totally different planet? don't tell me they time traveled by mistake
Good theory, and the biggest selling point for me is
>Noah
He's gunna get an ark.
like other anon said. The world of Xenoblade3 is going to be Mira from eons ago.
Been saying this since announcement.
>Smash
Opinion disregarded pedophile
What the frick are you talking about, X is the most woke pozzed xenoblade game. The game is super censored and the protagonists is strong black woman wearing Mexican outfit
You never beat the game and it shows, also she's not black she's middle eastern
No, she is alien so any race shitposting argument is useless on her.
Doesn't change that the game is super censored
>the game is super censored
there's only three things that got censored
>fundoshi turned into briefs
>breast slider
>lin had more modest versions of skimpy outfits
in exchange the game has the most custom skimpy outfits of any xenogame, especially after 2 relegated them to only DLC and 3 just threw jackets at everyone
>fundoshi
washoi
censorship is not only about coomer stuff dumbo, they removed all the references and adds tons of dumb changes like BLADE acronym and SKELL
>censorship is not only about coomer stuff dumbo
>proceeds to list off things that aren't censorship
i can't believe they censored mario when they called them "koopa troopas" and not nokonoko
Anticensorship morons are the same people that freak out over any Black or LGBTQIA+ representation in gaming, there opinions dont matter in our modern world.
Why would you want more blacks or homosexuals in video games? How is that a positive in any way at all? moron.
The protagonist is actually a human-fetishisizing alien larping as a strong black woman wearing a Mexican outfit. Get it right.
XB3 is so obviously being funded by Blackrock, it's so woke and pozzed, more than many western games. XBX is the last Xeno game to me and many users here
The main characters in Xenoblade 3 are literally as clothed as the humans characters in Xenoblade 2.
It would only be worth it if they fixed those create-a-character placeholder models for the main cast. They're so atrocious.
Xeno a shit. Project Noah a never finish.
>years old article
Did a 1chad or 3bro destroy you in another thread, 2baby?
The Wii U is better than the switch.
The Wii U was Nintendo's best console so that's fair.
Switch hardware really is ass and I expect Xenoblade 3 to run worse than 2. One of the reasons I am not getting it anytime soon. I am tired of Nintendo being so cheap. Next system needs to be decent.
Will Monolith ever be allowed to make a new IP? I want to see something that's not just Xenoblade.
Probably not. I wanted that fantasy concept art to be a real game.
Yea the 5 people who would buy that dogshit game X isn't worth the money to port it.
It's the only shit u port I'd buy. I don't know why they ported all of it's filth except the one good game on it
He just refuses to make it because they won't allow him to keep the breast resizer, so I will put this in the based column.
>too expensive
dishonest way of saying "not madly profitable ENOUGH".
After Xenoblade 3 even a new title would be expensive lmao. Massive bomb incoming.
I’m excited for 3
me too
By expensive he means that they would not be able to sell enough copies because X itself is a shit game
I just want a new IP. Xenoblade 3 is so boring I don't want another one.
>omg break topple, chain attack
adding really shit looking robot fusions isn't an improvement, and it just screams fake people/world which disinterests me greatly.
unless it was dot hack
>fake people/world
This is a weird nitpick because the worlds of both XB1 and 2 are products of the same demiurge figure.
>Takahashi
Did he finally get out of jail? I guess snitching worked out for him.
X is shit who gives a frick
Has Ganker really deluded itself into thinking the Wii U is somehow stronger than the Switch.
>the Wii U is somehow stronger than the Switch
It is though. I dropped my Wii U off my stairs and it was fine. My switch simply fell off its dock and the joycons broke.
My Switch 5 years later is still fine
My Wii U fricked itself after 3 years, the gamepad lags and disconnects from the TV constantly.
>the gamepad lags
God the range on the Wii U is fricking abysmal. I got one to hack because people kept saying how easy it is and I found one online for like 70 bucks.
I literally can only play it in the same room as my TV. I tried picking it up and carrying it in the other room to play and the thing just completely shits the bed. Has a range of like 10 feet, why is Nintendo constantly 20 years behind in technology. Bluetooth has been out for decades now
Aren't they basically the same?
Xenoblade x was by far the biggest game on the wii u so I'm not surprised they don't want to port it
>Aren't they basically the same?
MK8 plays at 720p on the Wii U and 1080p on the Switch
The Switch runs on ARM, which is a pain in the ass to convert to/from x86.
>open engine
>press button that says "convert to switch"
wow so expensive
NINTENDO
I'm just glad modding music files was easy enough when emulating. I honestly wouldn't be able to play this game if I couldn't change the New LA music.
shit tablet
