Only Symphonia 1 was ever good.
Decline started around Graces when Namco forced the team to do yearly releases but it only got to really bad territory with Zestiria.
I hope I get to see another game with LMBS during my lifetime.

Graces was the END of yearly releases. They had been more than yearly (10 games in 8 years) up to that point. That doesn't even include spinoffs. Tales was at its peak when they were pumping out games like crazy.

Fusing the Destiny and Symphonia team was the beginning of the end, Baba acting unwise to simp for seiyuu pussy was the second worst decision and the definitive downfall of the series as Tomizawa got his slimy fingers on it.

Everything you said is correct and yet that still beats the nothing we got from Tomizawa/Namco after Arise.
Imagine being the most successful RPG of the year and then proceed to do nothing but release a few mobage that die after a few months.
To be perfectly honest I'd rather have the series dead than suffering though more defilement with whatever will come after Arise, Tomizawa's statement about being interested in remaking older entries in Arise's style/engine or whatever he meant sends chills down my spine.

Devs are quite capable of making AI play better than a human player. They can't because then you don't have a game to play.
It's always ping ponged between bad and good games. The only constant decline is Sakuraba, who hasn't been good since the early 2000s.

I was playing Vesperia and I thought it was edgy when one of the main characters murdered one of the bad guys, then people started posting screenshots of way worse stuff happening in the other games. I guess I let the first few hours of Hearts R color my perception of the series.

Which Tales games would you buy if it get remastered? I really liked Abyss and Legendia which is shame it remained stuck on PS2 for now.

If you mean revenge for Zephyr, they only say "rushing immediately is bad", but they got their revenge done.
I meant the scene where Rinwell goes crazy on the murderer of her clan and Law stops her cause muh emotions. Meanwhile said murderer and the rest of the main party do nothing cause this is a scene for just Rinwell and Law.
