I wonder why at first they didn't bring in Vholran but with Beyond the Dawn getting released this November, now it makes sense if they're bringing Nazamil as well
Maybe saving him for the ending event. Him along with Alph's eMA. Since they're still trying to hold back on the Arise spoilers (for whatever reason), they'll probably give Arise its ending event after the DLC release. Nazamil will probably show up as an npc in the cutscenes as a teaser.
I like to think both Nazamil and Vholran will have an xMA together just to keep in the pattern of Arise characters always getting two MAs at launch

These are all from personal experience. If they're not mentioned they're probably bad or I just don't have them and haven't seen them used anywhere. I can elaborate on any of those if you want, a few of them are pretty fun.
Eizen's charge 5* is a must. It's his only other good large AoE spell besides Hell Gate
Yeah I honestly debated putting that one higher up, mostly because it's just really fun to play with it since you can lock enemies into blocking indefinitely. I find the spell kinda mid for the cast time but still nice.

If you're not in a rush, doing the daily quests everyday is enough to complete the board while it's up.

The daily multis for Arise share GRADE/spark with the half anni free daily multis, so you should (?) have enough to select a gMA of your choosing if you didnt already redeem it on 5*s

All of the available 1500p MAs are the gMAs and sMAs while charge 5*s are technically harder to come by since they're not permanent.
Its completely up to personal preference. I'd rather get a gMA for someone i dont have unlocked/awakened rather than a charge for a character i most likely will never use even in tower mode. Its just up to preferences.
Also there are no sMAs in the selection pool, just gMAs and dMAs. Alternatively, you can select yourself a dMA if you do some extra diamond pulls, i think 6 multis extra, since those are much more rare and harder to get outside of paid banners

You can't believe I actually got a frick ton of exp orbs to make everyone lvl 70 easier this time.
I mean we had the very first SG rerun event where they said having this should help people collect pieces for SGs, and its been how many months ago and it never happened again.

They should have it at the end of every month. I don't know why they're so stingy with sg in particular.
There's no way SG events will come back in the same style with the new update. The "problem" with SGs, from the devs point of view, is that they're too easy to grind for so no one rolls on the banner, this update only exacerbates that problem.
The reason they've been procrastinating on SGs so long is because they need to make them less free and they know any change they make will piss a lot of people off. Though personally, I'd be fine if they just put a limit on how many fragments you can grind in the event. Like make the max you can grind the SG to lv3 and make lv4-5 gacha only. But from a business perspective, it'd make sense to make the whole thing gacha only.
Maybe just condense them to only be 3 levels instead of 5. Pulling them gets you it maxed. Im sure people would be more inclined to pull if they actually got the full damn thing, instead of only getting portions of it even after pulling it. And the grinding wouldn't be so horrible for people to get it to 3. Maybe slightly bump up the amount of pieces between levels 1-3 compared to what it is now.
There, just a moderate overhaul of the current system without making it from scratch.
They really were not that easy to grind at all. You get the set of featured units to level 2 quickly enough, but than pick one out of the group to focus on nonstop with daily stamina and some diamond refills to potentially get them to 3 by the time the event ends.
If anything, what the other anon mentioned about making the max level 3 would help that much more. F2P get a free one thru grinding but they have to make a choice, and pulling can get you all of them. Perhaps change the banner system to what it was like in the older Rays Festivals, where you could pick what duo gets the better rates before pulling. Want to bait people to spend? Put two popular units in the line up, whales would have to spend to get the other
It really isn't that easy to get them as a f2p. Unless you grind refills like a madman. It was a very slow process.

She was definitely my number 1 healer, i never stopped using her after the original collab ended, and i made sure to max out her stuff. Then Estelle got Holy Rain added and i steroided her out in the distant future.

I had to rely on Forest to tank Caius while spamming the self-heal 3*, and I had to set Karol's and Reid's AI to go apeshit on Rubia. Thanks for the Holy Rain tip, anon.
Congratz anon, havent stopped using her even when she doesnt get an anima bonus. I'd recommend getting her SG, if they ever do a rerun event to get shards or using the blank shards in the turtlez shop. Its a good back up heal if things ever go wrong or you want to take a boss MA. I turned off all her arts except for Holy Rain and Angel Ring (her charge 5*, or her regular 5* Holy Lance), that way her AI fricks around less.

I think I have both of those too, but the only MAs I have for her are the gMA which works wonders as an emergency heal and the xMA.
Might have to start the long grind for her SG then in the meantime once reset happens.
Those are her good MAs, if its the w/ Philia xMA, that one gives the team an HP regen. Her others are nice to have but dont really do much, her sMA is used for grinding MA usage out for rerun quests.
She's still perfectly good to do healing without investing as much as i did, you just have to watch out if the enemy aggro's on her, because she'll most likely die in 3 hits in events that dont match her anima. Good luck on your grind there, hopefully they get it together and give us another SG rerun already.
Can do! Most of my main team was relying mainly on self-healing (Van, Forest, Regal, Emil) or MA healing (Reid, Sol, Alice, Marta) or the inconsistent AOE heal (Alice charge), so I'm glad to finally realize I actually have a really good dedicated healer other than my recent Rena acquisition.

Bringing either Reid or Flynn is actually a good move since Rubia can only spam light spells with the rare ice arte. That way, their sg gauges can fill up as long as Rubia is focused on them

That's the original Phil. His first clone (Phantom) has it, but his second clone (Junior) doesn't, so most likely it's something that happened between the ages of 15 and 25.
Ix and Mileena don't have any strange markings, and we know that the reason Gefion looks so fricked up is partially because she sustained injuries escaping from Odanse.

It's honestly not too bad if you're following the story since with the exception of Ix, either the clones or the original end up with a different name. It's a fricking headache in arc 1 though. I feel like arc 1 was intentionally written to be as confusing as possible on your first read-through.

The tickets I got so far gave me Dohalim’s charge at least. Would’ve liked to unlock Naz early for all the free diamonds she’d give me, but oh well.
So whats the premise for this event? Does the Arise gang already know Naz or do they have amnesia/faint memories of her? Does she recognize them even?
The Arise party is still from midgame, so they don't recognize her.
Alphen, Shionne, Law, and Rinwell are going to visit Dohalim and Kisara in a Menancia-like town. Each of them feel like someone's been watching them for a while. Nazamil appears and asks if they're Alphen and co, but they're wary because she appeared out of nowhere. She approaches Shionne and Shionne yells at her to stay back and Nazamil runs away. They're quick to realize she might be from their future because of their experience with Zephyr and decide to look for her because she looked like she wanted help.
When they find her again, they ask who she is. She tells them her name and that she's looking for the only friends she's ever had in her life and that she mistook the party for them and she runs away again.
There's a B plot about Dohalim finding out there are Helgan fruits in town and investigating them by himself because he feels responsible for what happened in Menancia, but Kisara finds out and tells him it's not his responsibility alone and works with him. They find a facility where the empire was researching the fruits. It's been abandoned, but there are signs that someone else had been living here. The 2 groups meet up, share info and chase after Nazamil.
Raid is ongoing so that's where we're at.
Also cute scene in the middle where Shionne tells Alphen she wants to apologize to Nazamil for yelling at her. Nazamil looked like she wanted to hold Shionne's hand, but Shionne didn't want her thorns to hurt her. Alphen holds Shionne's hand and says she can hold her hand through him.

Xenosaga collab though, that’s pretty cool. About time to use some classic Namco games like that survey they had last year suggested. Could it be just her and maybe t-elos plus 3 costumes on the Rays side? None of the other main characters from Xenosaga have been seen in years

Kasane's MA was directly purchasable in the event shop. There was a 100% chance of getting her MA as long as you hoarded enough event currency which should've been easy with how long the event lasted.

They're already going ahead on distributing them to non-MCs. Its pretty safe to say ema events are not going away any time soon.

Crazy how long it took for a Xeno collab. I remember years ago where they asked in a player survey which Namco IP they'd like to see in Rays, with options like Xeno, Tekken, Dig Dug, Katamari, etc. They haven't even tried putting in Tekken stuff yet and they're promoting the new game pretty hard.
Collabs are said to be done only if the devs themselves have any interest in any IP but I don’t know how true that is, definitely is strange how T7 was completely ignored while Guilty Gear had a heavy showcase twice. I think early T7 had a collab with Asteria or Link so maybe that could have been a reason though, im curious if we’ll see a T8 collab early next year.
I also remember that survey, I’m hoping that Xenosaga will be do well enough that they finally start adding in more of their other IP.

The real sign of dying is content reduction. We used to get 4 new MAs every event, but now 3 has become the regular.
There are plenty of other mobage that died shortly after a collab.
Not that I think Rays is gonna die soon, but they've definitely been putting less effort into the game compared to before. I'm firmly in the belief they won't shut down Rays until they have a replacement, but once they do this game will be on death row.

Rays has been doing worse and worse and Recollection is bizarrely high budget with that in mind. I think Rays sort of earns its keep by being a source of goodwill from long-time fans, but it can't last forever.
That being said, I don't think it's worth speculating until a real sign of death pops up, like 30 day long events or the in-app purchases disappearing.

Considering KOS-MOS is the only collab character, I hope they relegate a free gMA of hers to the shop like how they did with Kasane.
I’m still surprised by that, T-elos is literally a darker palette swap with the same voice actor so this would have been the easiest collab to make a second character for.
Not totally impossible for her to show up as an enemy-only NPC this year and then next time show up as a playable character, like Xeloss.
In general though they seem to be going less hard on collab characters, which I kinda get since they're often underpowered in comparison to actual Tales characters; but it's not like they couldn't fix it. They already gave some collabs eMAs.
They usually like to save villain characters for a 2nd part in the future. Slayers and Gintama went that route

Kos-Mos has basically been acting as the MC for Xenosaga for nearly 2 decades at this point, I don’t know what happened to Shion’s reception but she hasn’t been seen since episode 3 and her first and only crossover appearance was in 2005.

No, it’s just that no one cares for her for whatever reason. The first and only time Shion was in a crossover was in 2005, she’s mentioned here and there but she’s not been seen since episode 3 came out. T-elos is generally accompanying Kos-Mos whenever she shows up somewhere and the version of Momo they used here appeared in Endless Frontier.
Definitely curious though why they went with chaos over Shion though, it’s not like they’re adverse to a single gender collab banner since that happened to Danmachi.
If they had the story in mind when choosing characters, then Shion's not here so Kosmos doesn't have a master, and Laphicet is here to lead the "don't be a tool, think for yourself" plotline that they're going with in this event.
Though I think the number one reason she's not here is simply because she's not popular.

If i had the guess, being someone that reads BC, pretty sure its saying "lets fight some more/battle/play around more". Luck is a battle crazed kid, like Yuri but if he was a psycho with a mental trauma. Would have been neat to see if Yuri got the outfit instead

That doesn’t sound right to me, Luck doesn’t use a sword. His elemental powers and having a youthful babyface look makes Mikleo a much better fit for him. Not to mention that Magna and Luck are always paired together so it makes sense to have Sorey and Mikleo be them.
Yuri does get called out for mixing punches and kicks into his sword play, so he does have martial arts experience. Having weapon connections almost never matters during collabs. Sorey doesn't throw baseballs or use baseball bats, and we have Velvet whipping out a pistol right now. The connection with Sorey/Mik and Magna/Luck i'll give you.
True but I dunno, I just don’t see it. Yuri punches a few times sure but that doesn’t mean magic fits him. Sorey and Velvet pull it off better just like how that Gintama guy they chose for Yuri fit him.
